On the snow, five small groups were running. Including Fang Yuan's group.

Gu Yue Chi Bo said," The sky's getting dark, our mission this time is to collect 'permafrost decayed soil'. Although it is easy, it consumes too much time. We have to speed up, everyone follow me, try not to get left behind. Bai Jiade, if you are unable to keep up, just inform us. Don't worry, you are a newcomer, we will take care of you."

'The exact same line Jiao San gave to Fang Yuan. Do they have a "How to handle newbies MANUAL"? If so this group leader is incredibly lazy to not even slightly change the prompt…'

Chi Bo had an apathetic face, as if your life and death were completely unrelated to him.

You nodded.

The other three member kept completely ignoring Bai Jiade. As if in an attempt to use the silent treatment to bend him into submission. Be it the excerpt from "Handling Newbies Manual" or the silence, they were all displays of authority.

In actuality, these kind of authoritative displays were common. When a new member joins, the older members would usually exert their authority to get rid of the younger member's arrogance so that it would be easier to command and control them.

Chi Bo indicated forwards and went towards it. The remaining group members followed in a fast pace.

The bamboo shoes stepped on the snow, leaving behind traces of footprints.

The mountain road was full of obstacles, being difficult to maneuver. Especially with a layer of thick snow, it was even easier to fall down. At the same time, due to the snow cover, who knew if underneath it was sharp rocks or pitfalls?

If one stepped into a hunter's trap, they would be even more unlucky.

Living in this world was tough. Travelling seemed easy but in fact it had much to do with experience. Many newcomers suffered due to this.

Only through a long period of training, having gone through much hardship, a Gu Master that has accumulated much experience would be able to avoid these obstacles.

The chilly winter winds blew directly towards their faces as Bai Jiade strode through the snow.

Moving at a slightly slower speed than Chi Bo, his movimentation was somewhat erratic, taking leaps here and sidesteps there.

The entire Qing Mao was covered by a layer of snow coat, and many of the trees had naked branches, without a single leaf.

At times, squirrels or wild deer were frightened by these people and ran away quickly.

Arriving at the summit of the small-sized valley filled with permafrost decayed soil, Chi Bo said, merely glancing at the moderately late Bai Jiade," Split up and collect the frozen soil, we will reunite in an hour at this place. Chi Ya, distribute the equipment."

Following said declaration, A female member called Gu Yue Chi Ya gave the tools to the members.

She from her abdomen a yellow light came about, landing in her palm. Revealing itself to be a frog with a golden back. This golden frog was plump with a giant snow white belly, causing its entire body to look like a ball when inflated. The frog's mouth and eyes were all at the top of its head due to this belly, being squeezed into a spot.

'This is probably the rank 2 Large Belly Frog Fang Yuan mentioned in the chapter he was in his first mission.'

Soon after, Chi Ya's hands emitted traces of red steel primeval essence, and were absorbed by the frog.

Ribbit.

The Large Belly Frog screeched, opening its mouth to vomit out a steel spade.

The steel spade flew in the sky, turning large quickly. In the blink of an eye, it landed on the ground, becoming a large steel spade half the size of a person.

Ribbit, ribbit, ribbit…

It called for several times, throwing up a tool each time.

Eventually, the snowfield in front of everyone had five steel spades, and five wooden boxes. The wooden boxes all had two ropes for carrying.

Gu master feeding Gu worms was a large burden. Thus, Gu worms were limited in numbers. During the initial stages, it was hard to single-handedly deal with different environments, and with different intensity of troubles, Gu Masters thus often worked in groups.

In a small group, there was someone doing reconnaissance, someone for offence, someone in charge of defence, someone healing, and someone as logistics support.

The Gu Master who stood up, Chi Ya, was a logistics support Gu Master. She controlled this Large Belly Frog, which was a support Gu worm, where its belly had another space that could be used as storage space.

Of course, every Gu had its strengths and weaknesses.

The Large Belly Frog's weakness was that not only was the storage space limited, every time it vomited an item, it had to croak once, and this was irritating. Especially when a Gu Master is hiding in the battlefield, if handled poorly, it would reveal one's location.

Another thing was, the Large Belly Frog could not store Gu worms, and it was not immune to poison, unable to store poisonous objects.

After distributing the tools, each of the group members had a steel spade and a box in their hands.

"Set off." Chi Bo ordered.

Bai Jiade calmly went after Chi Bo, carrying his steel spade and the wooden box.

"Looks like we'll have a show to watch. Seeing the newbie waste all his efforts, haha. And it's all in the name of group integrity. Haha, long live the Gu Yue Clan."

"I'm not much of a fan of this but it is indeed necessary. Even more so when the newbie is so competent…"

They whispered, causing Chi Bo to glare at them.

'We shouldn't derive pleasure from the rookie's suffering. We are only doing what is necessary for our survival, the newbie included.'

An hour later, they saw Bai Jiade box filled with a third of permafrost decayed soil and the rest filled with ordinary soil. Something which made some of them laugh.

"Everytime this happens I can't avoid laughing. At the newbie and how arrogant I originally was. There a crouching tigers and hidden dragons. Peaks above peaks. The sooner the rookie realises that the better." Some said patronizingly.

"It is insufficient, the soil has a purple tint to it. Pay attentions and do it better the next time." Reprimanded Chi Bo.

And so he did it. Going back and forth to test his identification method and theories, he slowly but surely succeeded.

When it was around sunset, Chi Bo turned around and declared the end of the mission. "The mission is complete. Pass your spades and boxes to Chi Ya."

The five walked out of the internal affairs hall, with Chi Bo distributing the six primeval stones they earned. He and Bai Jiade got two pieces, while the rest of the members got one.

The primeval stones were so easily earned, so the members all broke into a smile.

'Thank God, this Chi Bo isn't like Sickly Snake Jiao San, deliberately suppressing the new member.'Thought Bai Jiade.
