Chloe's bloodshot red rimmed eyes were locked on the cup of coffee that was slowly going cold in her hands. She hadn't taken a single sip since the police officer had handed the paper cup to her nearly thirty minutes before.

Aubrey and Stacie also sat, their eyes focused on something far away, their minds racing with the terrifying thoughts of what was happening to Beca while they sat waiting for a detective to come speak with them. Where was she? Where was he taking her and what did he plan to do with her?

They didn't have the energy to speak, to verbalize their thoughts and worries, but they knew they were all feeling the same things. Dread, and hopelessness.

He took her again, and the chances of her escaping a second time were low.

They all three jumped when the door was finally opened and the same detective that worked the case last time walked in with a grim look on his face.

Chloe took in his expression and immediately burst into tears. Aubrey was next to her in a second, her arm wrapped around her shoulders.

"It's okay, Chlo, it's gonna be okay." She whispered as her best friend fell into her and cried hard. She heard the crack in her own voice and knew she wasn't convincing.

"We confirmed with Mr. Swansons parents that he stole his fathers' truck." He said sitting down across from them. "We believe that is what he was in when he took her. We have put out an APB on the vehicle. We will find them." He said, trying to sound as sincere as he could but it fell on deaf ears. They knew the probability of them actually finding them and it was low.

Chloe looked up, tears coating her red cheeks, her eyes angry. "Can you promise me that?" She asked.

He let out a breath and looked down.

Chloe shook her head, dropping her face into her hands.

Beca stirred sometime around dawn, she opened her eyes and was blinded by the warm glow coming in through the window. She closed them again, and shifted, trying to reach out for Chloe. When she realized she couldn't move her arms? Or open her mouth.

Her eyes shot open as the events from the previous night flooded her memory. Jesse. Jesse took her. Her wrists were tied together. There was something in her mouth and it was taped shut. She began to panic, yanking her wrists apart, trying to break the tape. She could feel some kind of cloth in her mouth and she tried pry her lips apart but the tape didn't budge.

"Oh good, you're awake. We need to leave soon."

She turned her head to see Jesse sitting at a little table by the door eating something. They were in a hotel room. She could see the fire escape plan taped to the back of the door. It was yellow and weathered.

"I took care of the truck while you slept and got us another car. The police are looking for my dad's truck, so he must have reported it missing." He said, his tone held a bit of annoyance and Beca looked from the door to him.

He was crazy. He had lost his mind. She began to struggle again and he set his food down, wiping his hands on his pants and walking over to her.

She couldn't stop the whimper that left her as she tried to sit up and get away from him. He was faster though and grabbed her arm, pulling her up and holding her tightly, pain shot through her ribs and she was reminded of the last time he had her.

"It's not going to do you any good to scream, or try to get away. I won't let that happen again. Now," He started reaching up and gently moving the hair out of her face. "I will take the tape off if you swear not to scream. But if you do scream, no one will hear you. We are the only ones here, aside from the idiot kid at the front counter. If you scream Beca, I will hurt you." He said and she held his gaze for a few seconds before nodding slowly.

He smiled. "Okay."

She winced as the tape was pulled off and she spit out the small towel that had been stuffed in her mouth, taking a deep breath.

"Here, I'm sure your mouth is dry." He said reaching over and grabbing a bottle of water off the nightstand.

He opened it and tilted it against her lips. She gratefully took a drink and let it coat her mouth and throat.

"Are you hungry?" He asked and she thought about it. She was hungry, but she didn't want to eat. She shook her head.

"Are you sure?"

She nodded again. "I'm sure." She said, her voice soft and raspy. He heard it, and tilted the bottle back up to her lips, she took another drink.

"We are going to be so happy Beca. Together, as we should be."

It had been a couple hours, and he had untied her long enough for her to use the restroom. As soon as she was done however, her wrists were tapped again and she winced as it stuck to her torn skin, she got from struggling. She had glanced at herself in the mirror and found a large bruise on her forehead. That's when she remembered he had headbutted her the night before.

She was sat on the bed, her bound hands in her lap as she watched him do something on his phone. She wasn't sure if she should speak to him or not. If she said something wrong, she feared what he might do. But anxiety was getting the best of her and she had to speak.

"Where are we going?" She asked and he looked up, locking his phone.

"Where do you want to go?" He asked with a smile that didn't meet his eyes.

She was silent. Home. She wanted to go home. She knew better than to say that though, so she didn't say anything.

He stood up from where he was sitting and she leaned back as she watched him walk toward her.

"Where do you want to go Beca?" He asked sitting down on the bed and reaching over to put his hand on her leg.

She looked down at his hand, then back up at him. She couldn't answer wrong. She couldn't take another hit.

Taking a breath, she spoke.

"Wherever you want."

"There have been multiple reports of sightings of the truck, but none of them check out."

Chloe sighed, looking out the window. She was on the phone with the detective after they had filed their reports and were sent home. It was the day after. Beca had been missing for almost 48 hours. Chances of finding her were getting even smaller. None of them had slept.

"He could have taken her out of state by now, have they put out a national report yet?"

Aubrey was listening from the kitchen where she was making a pot of soup, something she hoped would be easy to eat. Stacie was also on the phone, with Amy, explaining what had happened and planning to meet up with the rest of the Bella's and Trebles.

"Okay, please let me know as soon as possible." Chloe said before hanging up.

"It's not even national news yet, and they could easily be halfway across the country by now. She said tossing her phone onto the couch before dropping down on it.

"Chloe, lunch is ready," Aubrey said, as she poured some into a bowl and Chloe looked up.

"I don't want to hear that you're not hungry, either, you haven't eaten in almost two days." She said walking over with it and Chloe felt her stomach growl as she gratefully took the bowl.

"Thanks Bree." She tried to offer a smile but it didn't quite work.

"Eat Beca."

Beca looked at the sandwich that sat in front of her. She didn't know where he got it. She had fallen asleep, and when she woke up, she was greeted with a wrapped sandwich, a bottle of soda and a small bag of chips. He had left while she slept. She missed an opportunity to escape. He hadn't tied her to the bed, just bound her hands. He hadn't taped her mouth. She could have screamed. She fell asleep and missed her chance.

She slowly picked up the sandwich and began to unwrap it as Jesse was already half way through with his.

"After you eat," He started, with his mouth full and she tried not to grimace as she tore a small piece off and gingerly put it in her mouth. "We are going to leave."

She looked up at him. "You are going to walk with me out to the car." She glanced at the window to see it was dark outside. He was moving her in the dark. No one would recognize her.

"You will not try to make a spectacle of yourself. You don't want me to get angry. With you, or anyone that might see you." He said taking a drink of his soda.

The threat was clear, though delivered with a nonchalance that scared her. If she caused a scene, she and whoever saw her, would be sorry. She nodded.

"We aren't in Georgia, haven't been since yesterday morning." He said very matter of fact.

"Where are we?"

He shook his head taking another bite. "None of your concern." She watched as he finished his bag of chips and washed it down with the last of his drink.

"Eat up. We need to be going." He said leaning over and kissing her cheek.
