It was finally the first day of spring as many months have passed since the downfall of your uncle's occult. You found peace in your new quiet life. You didn't have to worry about being stalked by your followers, kidnapped or being used and abused. You were still on school grounds since Gojo took the responsibility to financially support you until you're ready to build your life. Nobody forced you to participate in sorcery so you were living a somewhat normal life. Being a sorcerer wasn't for you, but you weren't going to hesitate if someone needed your assistance. Everything was going smoothly and you couldn't ask for more.
"So y/n, how do you feel after it's been months since the mission?" Your therapist asked, wanting to make sure you found closure for what you've endured while growing up.
You showed a content smile on your face. "I feel much better and free. I'm learning to let my trauma go and heal from it. My mindset has also improved too! I never thought I'd get this opportunity to change my life. I'm so grateful, especially having a therapist who wouldn't gaslight me but who actually wants to help me get better. Thank you." You chuckled, remembering that rat who played her role well until you snapped at her. It felt awesome to show her who she's messing with.
Your therapist smiled as they felt assured you were heading in the right direction in your life. "I'm glad this is helping you. Well, our session is up and if you need anything from me, you have my number. I'll see you next week!"
You left your therapist's office and walked out of the building. Whenever you have your therapy sessions, you go to their office instead of having them come to you. Going to the building was much better because it gave you a good reason to leave campus. Plus, you're not stuck there for the whole day either. This made you want to roam the streets of Tokyo instead of being a homebody.
You whipped out your phone to check the time. "Hmm, it's the afternoon… I still have time to buy an outfit for my date. It shouldn't take too long." You tucked your phone in your pocket and walked to a nearby mall.
You had a date with Yuta as this was your first date. It was going to be at a fancy restaurant so you had to dress formal to fit the required dress code.
The aftermath of your first and last mission with Yuta and Shirou, you drew the line at how you'll pursue a romantic relationship with Yuta. At that time, you weren't mentally stable and needed time to adjust to your new living situation. Yuta understood your reasons and chose to wait until you gave him the ok. However, it didn't stop him from being sweet to you and showering compliments and gifts. You never objected to it as it only made your feelings for him grow stronger. Only recently, you allowed him to take you on dates, not casual hangouts as those were different. Although Yuta knew you were fine with dates now, he didn't ask you out until a week ago. Hence why you're going shopping because you didn't have any formal clothings.
At the mall, you were looking at dresses as it's easier to slip on and off and you can hide your food baby. You chose a dress that didn't emphasize your stomach in case you went overboard with food tonight because you forced yourself to starve until then. You only did it so you'll be hungrier and food would taste so much better too.
"Hmm, well I'm done here. I'll be wearing flats, no heels. Not tryna kill my feet." You didn't think shopping for a dress would be that easy but you weren't going to complain. You just needed something to wear and it wasn't extravagant whatsoever, but a plain dress that could be worn casual or upscale.
You walked out of the mall and proceeded to go home.

Arriving on school grounds, you trudged to the dorm so you could take a nap because you had all day until the date to get ready, and right now you had nothing to do so getting some rest would be the best option.
The campus was very quiet today as everyone had missions to go to. "I'm going to sleep well. I'm not going to people behind my door or loud commotion beyond my window. Sleeping beauty here I come!"
Opening the door to your bedroom, you threw your shopping bag on your desk and jumped into bed as you wrapped yourself up on your blanket. You felt so cozy and sleepy already. The fluffy pillow molding your head and the cotton material blanket hugging your body. You were glad that it's spring because you didn't have to layer yourself in many blankets and have the heater blasting. You could sleep perfectly like a little baby.
"I'll put on an alarm to wake up at seven. I'm gonna sleep for hours and I don't care if I can't sleep later tonight after dinner." After setting your alarm, you faced away from the window and closed your eyes shut. You forced your brain to shut down so you could fall asleep faster. As much as you were antsy about the date, you didn't want to be restless because your bedtime was early so your body knew when it shut down. Then after only a few minutes, you knocked out and snored quietly.
/
"Gosh, that took longer than expected! I'm glad I said a dinner date rather than a lunch date. This mission dragged out! She would've been so mad at me for making her wait because this place has no reception." Yuta put his katana blade back into the sheath and ran out of a building where his mission took place. He needed to get back because it's already 8pm and the dinner reservation was at 9pm. He didn't have much time left to get ready. He hoped you were dressed and waiting for him.
On the ride back to campus, Yuta was very anxious as he couldn't stop shaking his leg to calm himself down. Time was very important because the reservation of the restaurant he booked was strict about arrival. You have to be on time or else they'll cancel it even if you're one minute late. The restaurant is too busy to hold your spot after your designated time if they have other reservations coming in.
Yuta hopped out of the car once it stopped, and he ran inside to get ready. "Let's go, let's go! I don't have time!" He zoomed inside his room, throwing his weapon on the bed and stripping his soiled clothes off so he could take a quick shower to rinse off any residue. While he showered, he scrubbed his body with his ocean scented soap bar then shampooed his hair. Yuta only took 5 minutes before he jumped out to get dressed.
Yuta already had an outfit in mind the moment he asked you out on a date. It was a gray dress shirt, black trousers, and black oxford. He cuffed his sleeves and geled his hair back after blow drying it.
"Alright! I'm all set and we have thirty minutes to make it!" Yuta smiled at the time on his phone. He couldn't be any happier than right now. He planned what he was going to do and say because he wanted this to be the best day. "I should check on y/n! But first, I can't forget this!" Yuta darted towards the assorted bouquet he bought for you as it sat on his dresser. He couldn't help but imagine how wide your smile would get when you saw his gift.
Shortly after, he went to your room and knocked on the door, keeping the flowers behind his back, and it revealed a glammed version of you. You did your hair and makeup to fit the look. Yuta felt hypnotized by your beauty as he drooled at the corner of his mouth.
"You look handsome. Are you gonna keep gawking or what?" You giggled, watching his reaction as it enlightened you. His face was priceless but you wished you took a quick picture of it for memories to tease him in the future.
"I-I want to!" Yuta admitted with his cheeks turning into a rosy color. "But we gotta get to our dinner reservation before it's too late."
"Oh, then let's go." The moment you took a few steps out of your bedroom, Yuta shouted at you to stop in your place.
"Wait! Wait! Look at what I got you!" Yuta whipped out the lovely bouquet and this took you by surprise. This was the first time he has ever gotten you flowers. Most times it was food or small stationery gifts.
A big smile appeared on your face as you hugged the bouquet. You were memorized by the vibrant colors and shapes, and not to mention it smelled fresh too. "Aww, you didn't have to! It's so beautiful!"
"Of course I did! It's our special day!"
"Okay, let me put this away first then we can head out."

You guys made it on time at the restaurant and were quickly seated. You and Yuta sat across from one another.
"Wow, we got the balcony view huh?" You didn't think you'd get the nicer seats as you were fine sitting inside too. Out where you sat, you saw the bright lights of the city. It looked pretty at night and it resembled a romantic movie scene. Also, the temperature was decent enough where nobody would be freezing cold.
Yuta liked how you were already enjoying it. "Yes, that's why I got these seats. Beautiful view and it's only the two of us on the balcony too." He snaked his hand on the white table cloth, hoping you'll get the signal that he wanted to hold your hand.
Catching his slick action, you moved your hand on top of his to squeeze firmly. "Hehe. You're so thoughtful. Are you sure you're not a romanticist? I feel like you are. You got me flowers and then this! I didn't get you anything to make you feel special. Like heck, I over-napped and almost didn't get ready on time." You recalled yourself freaking out when you kept hitting the snooze button. Your body didn't want to be awakened yet as it needed more time to recoup. You only were able to snap out of it when you dreamt about being late.
Hearing your funny story, Yuta laughed as he couldn't believe he wasn't the only one who was running on a time limit. "Gosh, you're so cute. Maybe it is meant to be!"
"What?"
"Nothing. But how was your therapy session? I haven't asked that question for a while." Yuta knew you made sure you got to choose your own therapist because last time Gojo chose a rat. For someone who's perfect in everything, he failed at picking the right candidate for you.
"Mmm, it's good! My therapist is very great at their job. Much better than you-know-who. I'm glad I chose the right person for me to talk to about my past. I feel happier and free." You expressed, making eye contact with him then to the side where you looked at the glamorous city.
"I'm glad to hear that." Yuta kept his eyes on your face even if you weren't looking at him anymore. You were a gorgeous painting that he couldn't rip away. Sometimes being close to you like this makes his heart flutter and you don't even know it. "What's your plan for the future? I'm getting closer to graduating from this school."
You nervously chuckled in response. Now you didn't want to look at him because you're not the typical person who has a passion to pursue something. "I don't know yet. I'm still getting my life together so it's hard for me to know what I actually want, especially since I've been freed from my uncle for months now. It's something I don't wanna think about and just focus on myself." You honestly spoke your truth and you couldn't change what you felt. It is what it is. You either run with it or run away from it.
Then food was served as you guys ate quietly as you're not a big talker when you eat, but for Yuta, he felt awkward not talking if he's going to be staring at you for the whole time. So he started a conversation with you and you replied back being courteous.
After dinner was over, you and Yuta were holding hands as you two walked beside each other down to a path that led to a lake.
"I can't believe you ate three plates! You must've been really hungry." Yuta exclaimed as he's never seen you devour food so fast that you wanted to order more. Most times you couldn't even finish one plate. You get so full easily to the point where you take everything in a box for later.
"Well, I starve myself so I can eat more. It tastes better too. So where are we going?" You didn't know much of the plan besides dinner. He told you that it's a date and he had it all figured out. Yuta said to not ask any questions prior to the date because it's a secret, but now that it's the day you should know.
Yuta scrunched his eyebrows and his lips pursed at you playfully. "Didn't I tell you not to ask? Just kidding. We're heading to a lake." He let go of your hand and threw his arm around your shoulder as he pulled you closer to him.
You rolled your eyes and a laugh slipped from your lips. "You had to be secretive about a lake? What are you going to kill me there?" You joked as you've been watching too many documentaries about true crime.
"No! I'm not that insane to kill someone. It's not my nature and never will be unless they're cursed spirits."
Once you guys made it to the lake, you and Yuta sat on a bench, looking at how the water glistened from the moonlight. You leaned your head on his shoulder and snuggled closer to him.
"As the days go by, you're getting busier than ever. I used to see you everyday, and now I see you like three times a week. I know it's better than nothing, but it does feel lonely." It only occured when his mission with you ended so Yuta's been tasked with other assignments. Your days did feel empty as there's no one to talk to or even do. It felt like a blur and it wasn't memorable enough for you to recall your days to Yuta whenever he asked about your day.
Yuta turned to look at you with a great idea that will shake your world. "Why don't we get married then?" He said as he leaned into your face. It was only to tease you because you make great facial expressions. He obviously knew you would freak out for him and just like he predicted, you did.
"WHAT?!" You moved away from him like you were dodging a hit from a person. "MARRIAGE?! THAT'S NOT EVEN ON MY MIND! LET ALONE—!" Your words got stuck in your throat the moment Yuta began leaning towards you like he's gonna crush you with his body, causing you to fall on your back as you laid on the bench and his arms pinned at the sides of your head.
Your heart raced, seeing him hovering above you. You didn't know why he pulled that stunt, but you didn't like being trapped in this position either. You're not going to be vulnerable to him, not like this. As much as you tried making a mad face, your facial muscles kept twitching as it softened and you turned your head to the side. It's hard for you to switch your mood when you don't have the fire fueling your mad feelings, or you're already weakened by Yuta's charms.
A few seconds later, Yuta pulled back and bursted out laughing because he found this hilarious. "HAHA! You're so gullible!"
Slowly, you sat back up and rolled your eyes at him again. "Please, I don't want to be turned into Rika 2.0 so don't put a ring on my finger until you retire from this job." You were half joking, half serious because you didn't want to be turned into a cursed spirit. You have so much to do in life and it's not going to be taken away by Yuta's carelessness of binding you to him for life.
Yuta gasped at your statement. "Y/n! I can't believe you brought that up!" Even he didn't think about it like that. He would never put you in the position where he'd let you be his pet for all eternity, and he honestly believed you'd also be a vicious cursed spirit too. "I've learned my lesson. I'm not gonna curse you."
"Mhmm. Sure. Let's go home. It's getting late and chillier." You felt goosebumps arise on your skin as you stood up from your seat.
/
Yuta walked you to your room and before you could twist the doorknob, your body suddenly turned around and was trapped between Yuta's arms as he leaned towards your face.
"Yuta!" You yelped, unable to understand what's going on with him. This whole day he's been sweet yet weird. It wasn't like him to pull these types of stunts on you. It's like the beast inside him couldn't contain himself. "We're gonna get caught if you keep me like this." Your eyes stared at both ends of the hallway. You'd rather not die from embarrassment.
"I don't care. They're going to turn away once they spot us."
"Well, I do!" You tried pushing him away but he refused to move. So he swiftly turned the doorknob, causing the door to swing open and making you fall as Yuta scooped you in his arms and threw you on your bed. He had you trapped again.
This happened so fast before your eyes that you didn't even have time to react. You blinked a couple of times, trying to register everything. "Yuta, what's wrong with you?" You absolutely felt like he lost his mind from going on missions.
Yuta's hot breath bounced off your cheeks as you locked eyes with him. "Remember what I said a few months ago? I want to redo our first kiss."
"What?" Your face scrunched up in confusion. Your head couldn't understand why he needed to act like this towards you if he could just ask normally.
"Will you let me kiss you?" Yuta firmly asked, very eager to swoop in on your lips. He's been waiting for this day until you were stable enough to change the dynamic of the relationship.
"Will you start acting normal instead of caging me like this?" You said, cupping his face as your hands played against his soft skin. You really hoped he turned back to the Yuta you knew, not this beast taken over him.
"Yes!" Yuta nodded vigorously like an obedient dog.
Then you forced his face closer to yours as noses were touching. "What do you need to ask first before kissing me?"
Yuta's heart raced and he knew it was time. He waited for months for you. After all, he wasn't going to deny your direct advancement. "Will you be my girlfriend?"
You broke into a smile, rubbing your thumbs back and forth on his face. "Of course!"
In that moment, Yuta's soft lips dropped on yours claiming the 'first' kiss of the night, but there was more to come after this.
