Dr. Oliver sighed, "I don't know if I should be grateful that you know the reason or terrified…"

Hub sighed too. "At this point, I'm not sure if I have the mental energy to be scared."

The man sighed, "Just be grateful that we noticed… Your adventures are about to get worse fast…"

He then gave a harsh laugh, "Not to mention that for you this is the only time for this, I have at least another echo, of you, to deal with. So I am doing at least four decades of working to keep the multiverse from being destroyed by the damage."

Dr. Oliver silently mouthed a long, drawn-out "Ffffffffff…" while the newcomer continued.

"I've sped up the Ultras who aren't stuck on the planets of their origins who were heading to Earth, trust me you'll understand in about an hour. But my daughter flung this echo of Hub through all of the other echoes and the original multiversal version of Hub, the Origin you could say, during the trip through the multiversal wall."

Luffa groaned, "Well at least now we know that we're not dealing with a loop of no origin…"

The man shrugged, "Yes and no, but that's going into the elder god level of quantum physical science theory."

Dr. Oliver just groaned, deeply, as he slammed his face into the desk, shouting at the man as he stood up, "Just great, great! What's freaking next you gonna say that we're about to be attacked by an army of kaiju!?"

The man raised an eyebrow, "Actually yes. Yes I was… You should look into getting training as a medium or some form of oracle, Dr. Oliver."

Dr. Oliver just screamed at the ceiling. Gilliam choked on his laughter, "Apparently even the mature version of the Elder God can't understand sarcasm…"

The man smirked, "No I knew it was sarcasm but I am always brutal with my honesty."

Hub sighed. "I'm getting some concerning readings. You should probably watch your blood pressure…"

Dr. Oliver just glared at Hub, "I'll calm down once I can go 6 hours without a fight!"

A woman in pink just pinched Dr. Oliver, following Spock's motions in the Star Trek TV show, to knock him out, "That'll help."

Hub raised an eyebrow. "Knocking him out?"

The woman smirked, picking him up, "Can't get more stress if he's not awake right?"

"I could have tried to show him a couple of meditation techniques. They helped our Lan when he was sitting in the maternity ward waiting room."

The woman shrugged, "Do it after, besides I think he's just tired. He's not been able to go back home in over 5 weeks…"

The man winced, "Oh yea… This is still during the return to normal from the Stellar War battle where the Powered Heroes gave their powers up… Yea I see the issue…"

The man snapped his fingers, "That should help, his mind and body are being tricked by my magic into thinking his body is in his own bed… Not sure how well it'll work given his issues with magic…"

The woman shrugged, "Either way, I'll put him in the infirmary."

She walked out of the room with Dr. Oliver over her shoulder.

"Pretty strong to carry him out like that. Who was that anyway?"

Luffa shrugged, "Probably just one of the many heroes who got to time in the history books. The 1930s up to the 2050s had nearly eighty undecillion non-powered heroes plus around ten trillion powered heroes…"

The table around the two stared at Luffa in shock, horror, and amazement.

"And how many of them would be alive and on Earth right now?"

Luffa shrugged, "The history books can't keep track of them all… We only barely even kept up with the Power Rangers, Ultras, Power Riders, DC superheroes, Super Sentai, Kamen Riders, Metal Heroes, Marvel superheroes, and some extras… So quite frankly, that's not a reasonable thing for me to know even with our records… possibly…"

"And the parallel versions…"

Luffa nodded, "Our history books did have some notes for them but there's a lot of history so a ton tends to go hidden in the weeds of time and space…"

"Keeping track of things on one Earth can already be enough of a challenge sometimes. How do you even keep your records sorted?"

Luffa gave a harsh laugh, "You think we do it by hand? We got AIs to handle it."

"Even then, it would be too much work for just a couple of AIs."

Luffa shrugged, "I don't work on that side of technology. So I don't understand the details."

"How did you get roped into this job anyway?"

Luffa gave him a look, "What do you mean?"

"This whole… Temporal Agent thing?"

Luffa shrugged, "It's more or less just a part of my timeframe's Starfleet standard training. Time travel got stupidly common in my time…"

"That sounds pretty dangerous."

Luffa shrugged, "Just a side effect of our universe having all fiction being real and thus multiple realities connected."

"On another note, I should probably go check up on those two."

Lan gave a huff, "We're here damnit!"

The hint of a mischievous smile appeared on Hub's face. "You definitely look like you slept well. Anything I should know?"

Lan grumbled, looking a bit embarrassed. "I don't know what you mean."

Hub fought the urge to grin. "Really now? I can definitely see a difference from yesterday. Are you two finally getting along?"

Mayl giggled, knowing exactly what he was doing. "While it's funny to see Lan sweat a bit, you already know, don't you?"

Hub flashed a mischievous grin. "Maybe. But look at you, so chipper and stress-free."

Mayl shrugged, though she did get slightly flustered. "We both had a lot to get out of our systems. We're not done, but it was nice to vent a bit."

She then lowered her voice to just barely above a whisper. "And Lan can make for a very nice pillow."

Hub scoffed. "Guess the trick was to find something you could both get mad at instead of each other."

Mayl nodded. "And getting us to finally have an honest discussion. I have to thank you again for giving us a push. The aliens just made the mistake of interrupting us when we were making some progress on our own."

The man sighed, shaking his head, "Also for reference, the term 'army' is a misnomer of a descriptive term for the horde of kaiju headed to Earth."

Percy's eyebrow twitched in annoyance, "I should be absolutely terrified that even the Elder God is saying that it's bigger than an army… Are we talking larger or smaller than the armada that we fought with the Stellar Empire?"

The man just blinked, putting his finger to his chin thinking for a whole twenty minutes in silence, "Smaller but not by much. Although that's pure mass. I couldn't say for actual numbers."

Percy groaned, "Fucking lovely… Hub, your thoughts?"

"We're going to need more firepower. A lot more."

The man smirked, "Keep in mind that is partly why I sped up the Ultras. They won't arrive before but during. Which is far better than the original and most of the echoes where they only arrive after you all kill all of the invading kaiju…"

Percy groaned as he rubbed his forehead, "Gods, this is giving me a migraine and it's barely 7 am!"

"Why did we need to have the meeting so early anyway?" Lan grumbled.

Percy sighed, "Simple, we're covering every single extranormal and paranormal group now. So we got to cover it all in this meeting…"

Lan rolled his eyes. "We'd probably need a whole week to go over the complete list of all the weird, alien, paranormal and other stuff. You can't take the bus or the Metroline without running into at least two or three of them."

Percy shrugged, "I have the non-major stuff in an email to be sent out after."

Luffa sighed, "Don't expect it to get better later guys… This is just the start. And that's barring multiversal shit."

Lan grumbled again. "I really don't need to hear that this early in the morning. I'm gonna get a couple more hours of sleep before anything else happens."

The man gave a grin, snapping his fingers, "Sorry but I can't allow it given the X-1 is the main line of defense for Kaiju that's available."

"How are we supposed to use it properly if we don't get enough rest?" Lan pointed out. "Isn't that what alarms are for?"

Hub chimed in. "Besides, if push comes to shove, I could always take over for a while. After all, I was one of the people who designed our world's X-1."

The man snorted, "To be honest, it's a mix of things. The main one is that this is one of the defining moments of Lan and Mayl's relationship, and no I am not revealing the reason. And the second being that you, Hub, are far too high of a risk at the moment due to how unstable your body and soul technically are due to my daughter's interference. I'll take the time to help figure it out to see if I can help reduce it so you can fight during the kaiju invasion. I more or less just made it where your body and mind will just jump to being awake when the fight is happening. But expect Lan to be in a day long coma. Drawbacks are a thing, mainly made by me to be able to justify it since I am aware that we're a story."

Hub sighed. "You're not making much sense, but I guess that's par for the course with your kind."

The man shrugged, "Simple, echoes are made by writers making stories based on the original so the fact that I am here in the echo means it's a story, thus I am trying to not make myself a Deus Ex Machina."

Hub sighed again and glanced at Lan and Mayl. "Remember, stay in school and don't do drugs. Otherwise you could end up sounding like him."

The man laughed, "Do you count Elder God magic as drugs?"

Lan rolled his eyes. "At this point I'd call it bullshit."

The man shrugged, "Whatever. Point is your body and mind will be at your best for the invasion but afterwards, you're going to be in a day long coma."

Lan grumbled. "I rest my case."

The man sighed, "It's called needing to seem fair to the readers. I am neutral for a reason so even when I am actively involved in this form I get to play both sides of the combat situation…"

Mayl glared at him. "No. You're not putting Lan in any damn coma."

The man shrugged, "Too late. The magic is active. I can't deactivate it."

Mayl narrowed her eyes. "You can't, or you just don't want to?"

The man snorted, "Yes. It's both, the Creator of all made it that way and I don't see the need to listen to mortals. I may be more mature than the previous version of me but I kept the ego but with the maturity to not sound like an angsty teenager."

Mayl scoffed. "So, not that much more mature. I hope you understand something though."

Her expression was perfectly calm but her voice quickly changed to a low growl. "If anything happens to Lan because of your bullshit. If you get him hurt or brain damaged or worse… I don't care if you're some kind of god or not. You'll be in for a world of pain."

The man snorted, "I set my magic to activate coma upon arrival in the hangar after the battle, so your team of medical professionals will be around. Besides if I was going to hurt him, I'd just be open about it. I never gave a shit about tact."

Mayl glared at him, looking thoroughly unimpressed. "Well, maybe you should start learning a thing or two about tact, manners and consent."

The man didn't even blink, "When has tact, manners, or consent ever mattered to a god in any mythology? Think about it. Even your so-called all caring Christian God didn't even care for them. Keep in mind that he literally flooded your planet because it was filled with sin. Not to mention that if you take things at face value, I am using this term cause even I don't know if it's literal or just a cover up for the two fucking, that 'Virgin Mary' was basically unconsentually given a baby for you humans to have access to the Christian Heaven."

Mayl rolled her eyes and bared her teeth at him. "I don't give a damn. Man or god, if you're being an asshole, I'll call you out on it. Especially if you're messing with him."

The man just shrugged, "Fair enough. I am just being clear that gods don't see things in the same style as you mortals. Even I don't, and I have my soul split with one."

"We're not your toys."

The man glared, "If I viewed you all as toys, then I'd just never have come and just left to the whims of my daughter who's trying to murder my wife… I am doing my best to make things fair and interesting to read since I am aware that this universe is being made into a written form! You try to balance that. Anywa-"

He was cut off by a pink blur flopping on his head with him grunting. He grabbed it, and held it in front of his face, unamused, staring at the pink kitsune baby in his hands. Giving a soft sigh, "Great… Everyone met the youngest daughter in the family…"

He flipped said daughter around, who just waved, he continued, "She isn't an Elder God but she's imprinted onto me so we couldn't just put her into a mortal universe to live out her life… I should remember her anyway…"

Mayl rolled her eyes again. "So, overpowered, big ego, no sense of boundaries and a furry… Original character, do not steal?"

He snorted, "Actually she's born to the multiverse. But I plead the fifth on all fetish comments."

"I'm not sure how such a cute baby could be related to a jerk like you, but for her sake I'll try to keep things civil."

He shrugged, "She's 50 million years old. She just likes this form. Don't question much about how things work on the homeworld of the Elder Gods. Also how she was born is just RNG. Some of the kids are ugly, some adorable, some meh."

His response from the baby was just raspberry and a smack. He just rolled his eyes, "I guess she picks this form since it fits her mentality then?"

The baby just nodded.

Hub raised an eyebrow. "So what is she doing here?"

The man gave him a shrug, "I assume she is following me. As I noted, she imprinted onto me and is still a baby in mentality. Kitsune babies are known for being very determined.
That or my wife sent her to me. So beyond my guesses or if she wants to answer, we have no real way of knowing."

"Your family isn't very big on communicating…"

He gave Hub a frown, "Usually we're not outside of 10 feet of each other too. Mostly because of lack of care for mortals and I don't want to create a paradox due to how my soul works."

"So what now?"

The man sighed, "For now, we just wait out the clock…"

Mayl sighed and rolled her eyes, then started making her way out of the room.

"Where are you going?" Hub asked.

"Might as well get Lan comfortable. Besides, looking at this guy's face for too long will just make me angrier."

The man sighed, "Just be near the X-1 then! You won't have much time to get to it."

Mayl just gave him the finger and then quickened her pace.

He sighed, "Anyway. You got anything you want to do while we wait? We will be safe in the HQ."

Hub shrugged. "Might as well catch up on the database reading before something else happens."

He gave a nod, "You should be fine. The main stuff to know should be covered. I can work on the Arm Buster now too. Once I get done with it, you want to learn Duel Monsters? I don't know if you ever need to know it but given the situation, it can't hurt right?"

"That sounds pretty random."

He shrugged, "You got a better way to wait out probably five to ten hours? Cause even you'll have to get bored of reading."

"You underestimate me."

He gave another shrug, "True, but I don't feel like being stuck with a bored baby kitsune alone."

Hub rolled his eyes. "Of course this had to be about you. I suppose I can multitask, if you don't get too obnoxious."

He snorted, "You also haven't had to deal with baby kitsunes before when they are bored. You know of the myths about them?"

"Tricksters and so on. I was born in Japan, you know. Though back then it still had a different silly name."

The man nodded, "Hence, the baby versions are worse especially with access to god powers…"

"Shouldn't you be educating her then?"

The man groaned, "You try to teach a kitsune who hates sitting still for anywhere for longer than two hours straight."

"Some parent you are. Guess you're more interested in making them."

The man snorted, "Oh, I am well aware of it. I do both when we get the time or the girl is being cooperative. But given the fact that she's in a new universe… Yea… I doubt that I'll make much progress in teaching. Anyway, she needs no help with the power department…"

He shuttered hard enough to crack the floor as the girl just giggled at the memory.

"Then you really haven't learned a thing about parenting. You need to make it fun and engaging. Make them want to learn. Use their curiosity."

He shrugged, "In fairness, half of the reason that I am doing the Duel Monster teaching to ya. I don't want to risk my daughter accidentally summoning a real one while Londo Bell is fighting kaiju."

"Meaning you want me to act as a distraction."

He snorted, "That and she's been trying to learn the game. For sanity, I'm keeping the lesson to the main ones that are used in most of the universes in the multiverse. You want me to fix the buster or do the learning thing?"

"I can still fight without a Buster, but there's still a bit of a size disadvantage against those things. I suppose I could play along with this, but you'd better hurry it up."

He nodded, snapping his fingers plopping a Duel Disk in both of their hands and a stack of Decks to the right of Hub on a table, "Each one of these has a Summon type in it. I am allowing us infinite hand size for now."

"I thought you were going to stick to the basic rules."

He shrugged, "The basic rules are pretty simple for hands, just limit to seven cards and then you discard down to seven cards. Which is a common trading card game ruling."

"All I'm saying is infinite hand size would probably open the way for some anime tier bullshit. And yes, I realize how hypocritical that statement sounds considering some of the things I can do."

The man shrugged laughing, "Why I made sure we're using mostly structured decks that are shared among the multiverse and Skills aren't available yet. I'll show that off in a solo mode. Anyway, where do you want to start with the Summon types to learn how to play?"

Hub shrugged. "You tell me. I've been out of the loop since the first couple of seasons. Not that they were a good way to learn the rules anyway."

The man nodded, setting the baby down to the side of the field, which was summoned with the dueling materials, "We have Fusion, Ritual, Synchro, Xyz (pronounced Exceed), Pendulum, and Link Summons for the special summon types and then there's a Tribute Summon. I don't think those cover a Ritual Monster."

"What the actual… When exactly do they go and say 'OK, that's a little excessive now'?"

"Never. You want to start at the beginning with Tributes, Ritual, and Fusion summoning?"

"Yes, the beginning is usually where you'd start."

He nodded, "Ok, the deck for that for you is Dragons Collide. I am sticking to one deck. You need to learn how to put the cards in the Duel Disk? By the way, the Extra Deck goes into the top of the red part."

Hub started doing just that. "Sounds simple enough."

The man gave a nod, "You want to do this where we both show our hands to each other?"

Hub shrugged. "It's not like this is a serious match anyway."

The man nodded, "Ok, I am an asshole but even then I don't cheat. Draw to five, our decks should've shuffled by now."

"Guess there's a reason why everyone switched to the Disks. Manual shuffling can get boring. Are these packing that hologram tech too, or is that just a Kaiba thing?"

The man gave a smile, "These are based on the Battle City Duel Disks from this universe."

"Meaning?"

"Holograms. Ok, my turn!"

The man then drew his hand, his hand appearing next to Hub via a hologram. He had drawn Hero Mask; Demise, King of Armageddon; Guardian Baou; Elemental HERO Lady Heat; and Elemental HERO Sparkman. "Interesting… I will set Guardian Baou and end my turn!"

Hub drew a Burst Stream of Destruction card and looked at his hand, considering his options. Escape From the Dark Dimension, Jain, Lightsworn Paladin, Call of the Haunted, Lightpulsar Dragon, and a Black Dragon's Chick. "Can't summon Lightpulsar yet, Jain could limit my options too much at this stage. Can't really use any of the other cards right now. Face down Black Dragon's Chick it is."

The man raised an eyebrow, "I draw!" He then drew Ancient Brain. "Interesting choice and not setting your Traps. Be aware that they can't be played directly from the hand and need to be set on the field until the end phase of your turn. "Anyway! I summon Ancient Brain!" (I'll insert summons and attacks later on) "Now attack his set card, Ancient Brain!"

"Right. Forgot these two were traps, not spells. That's one ugly monster though."

The man nodded, "Indeed. Anyway, it's your turn! Also not all monsters can be Dark Magician Girl and be hot enough to get the teens happy with."

Hub raised an eyebrow. "You didn't sneak any lewd custom cards in my deck, did you?"

The man laughed, "The writers for our universe don't have that capacity at the time of writing this!"

"Just making sure there aren't any weird surprises. But I guess you're not Yak."

Then he drew a Magical Stone Excavation card. Without much else to do, he set Jain and Call of the Haunted face down.

The man smirked, "Honestly the lewd cards aren't Yak's thing and more of a thing of a future generation of him which hates him so much that he literally changed his natural hair color to white."

The man then drew Dark Calling, "I set Ancient Brain to defense position and end my turn!"

Hub drew a Herald of Creation and summoned it, then set his Escape From the Dark Dimension. Testing the waters, he had the Herald destroy the Ancient Brain.

The man smirked, "That's it?"

Hub shrugged. "I guess I forgot you can only flip something face up during the main phase."

The man nodded, "Indeed at least for Monsters. Traps and Spells are based on timing. My turn?"

"Looks like it."

The man smirked as he drew Skyscraper 2 - Hero City, "Anyway, if you go to Battle Phase, there's a Main Phase 2… I activate Skyscraper 2 - Hero City and I set a card!" He set Elemental HERO Sparkman. "Your turn!"

Hub drew a Darkflare Dragon. "Sometimes you don't want to show what you've got face down until it's ready to use."

The man nodded, "Indeed, it's why you play some spells as bluffs."

Hub then flipped Jain face up, set his Magical Stone Excavation face down, and attacked one of the face-down monsters with Jain. (blah blah CGI explosions) Then he attacked the second face-down monster with the Herald.

Jain's effect meant that Hub had to put the top two cards of his deck in the graveyard during his end phase. This, however, meant that the Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon he had just put there could be pulled to his hand by the Herald's special ability on the next turn.

The man gave a nod, "I draw!" He then drew Fake Hero. "I use Skyscraper 2 - Hero CIty's effect to special summon Elemental HERO Sparkman in defense position and then set a card! Your turn!"

Hub drew a Different Dimension Reincarnation, then activated the Herald and set the Reincarnation face down. He attacked the Sparkman with Jain and the remaining face-down monster with the Herald.

The man raised an eyebrow, "My turn?"

"Yes. I think I've already made a few mistakes but that's what a practice match is for."

The man nodded, "Anyway, we can end this Duel here. I think that you get the basic actions. I actually just noticed that you didn't have an Extra Deck which is what I was trying to test for you."

Hub shrugged. "I guess that can wait for another time. But it feels like this game has a serious case of feature creep."

The man gave a harsh laugh, "This universe has it better than most. This is the game after about 70 to 90 years. Most of the time the game gets to this point in only about 10."

Hub blinked. "How do they even make all that text fit on the cards?"

The man shrugged, "Never cared to check. Although here, there's like five formats on how they are printed, I am using the TCG format for your starting deck. But there's a format of card with just the image, name and stats. The Duel Disks have the database on them. If you want later, I am sure that Autumn or another Duelist can hook you up with the database."

"I guess. It's just weird how much importance society in this world attaches to these cards."

The man gave a chuckle, "It's only for the non-government level stuff, unless it's to help prevent wars."

Hub raised an eyebrow. "You mean they use this to settle international disputes too?"

The man snorted, "If it's possible, it's not always able to do that. But if it can, they use the game to try to help avoid bloodshed."

"Definitely better than war. Is Kashmir still being disputed in this world?"

The man shrugged, "I mainly focused on the Yak timeframe and your timeframe."

"Well, in my world the dispute got pretty heated. Almost nuclear. Things were minutes from spiraling out of control… and then Lan took a chopper to the area, opened a line to the leaders of both sides and yelled at them until they backed down. Nobody wanted to harm the guy who saved the world seven times."

The man snorted, "Sounds right for him. I don't know much about this universe since there's like an infinite number of splits in the timeline for a ton of shit so it's hard for me to know precisely here."

"Do you ever get confused and mix up realities?"

The man snorted, "Why I don't tend to look at realities at all times, we have a ton of tech for it. But I focus on specific parts, timelines, and people. Sometimes tech just because of interest. Also I have a mortal self so I try to not do too much research since our minds connect so it could confuse my mortal self."

"So all versions of you are connected? All the time?"

"Not really, it's more that I am the anchor to the 'sanity' we have." He spoke using air quotes for sanity, "The mortals are the true self and my current Elder God self is a permanent reminder of the fact that I am being punished. The mortals can be any species or gender so even I don't know them until they are born in order from their perspective of a soul."

"Punished for what, exactly?"

"My original self created the multiverse by killing the old one. Trust me, we don't know fully how or why."

"That sounds… excessive. But so does punishing every single version of you."

"The Creator of the Multiverse doesn't do things by halves as you can hear. But every version of me is the punishment, if things went normally I'd never have been here."

"What do you mean? Are you saying you weren't meant to exist or something?"

"No, I am from the multiverse before this one so I am not meant to exist here."

"A multiverse would contain innumerable lives. That kind of destruction would be a serious crime against existence itself. But if you can't even remember your actions, then what purpose does this punishment serve?"

The man shrugged, "The Creator is petty."

Hub sighed. "This kind of crap is why I never get involved with so-called deities. Overpowered and insanely petty beings aren't the kind I'd want to meet… and if they tried to hurt the people I care for, I might just snap."

The man snorted, "I get it. Not much I can do anymore. And this is why I try to keep my interactions low."

"So you're being punished forever but are still expected to step in and fix things?"

"Yep."

"Is that why the other you is such a petulant jerk? What's your motivation in these conditions anyway?"

The man snorted in a laughter, "I gave up long time ago on being normal. That me was just an angsty teen. I have no motivation at the moment."

"So why are you trying to help? Because you're obligated to, or because you want to?"

"Yes."

"I walked right into that one…"

"Also I don't know the answer either way."

"I'm not sure what else to say. The whole thing just sounds messed up."

"It's just how this works."

"In your position I don't know if I'd be able to avoid getting a massive depression. Or just snapping and raging at the whole thing."

"That was the first half of my existence."

"And now?"

"I am neutral to everything."

"What's the difference between neutrality and indifference?"

"None."

"So why are you even here? Why are you trying to help in your convoluted way?"

"As I stated before, I don't know."

"What, are you doing all this like a robot, without knowing how or why you're doing it?"

"It's interesting and I'm bored…"

Hub sighed. "This conversation is going nowhere… I guess we should just move on to the next item."

"Which is?"

"Aren't you supposed to tell me?"

"I need to look at the script first. The writers are slow today. Heat exhaustion and all that."

"... what…?"

"Oops. Forget I said that."

The pink Kitsune just snapped her fingers to erase Hub's memory of that bit.

"I thought that you had a new item to discuss, sorry about that. So what's the plan for when you get back to your universe?"

Hub shrugged. "I still have a war to finish, a mystery or two to uncover… and a very special machine or two to finish."

"Fair enough, want to take some to work on blueprints?"

Hub tapped the side of his head. "I've got the blueprints right here. But for now we should focus on this impending dimensional disaster, otherwise all my work will have been for nothing."

The man sighed, "The thing is that you just need to survive this event and course of events to prevent it. So we're just stuck with waiting around."

Hub sighed. "I hate just standing around doing nothing. It's just not my style. Maybe I've picked up some of Lan's traits over the years."

"Unfortunately there's nothing we can do. I don't want to force things and potentially make things worse for everything. There's no telling what could happen if I forced things."

"I guess I'll just… try to keep myself busy with the database copy Tommy gave me."

"Best we can do, maybe you could work on this universe's X-1? Could help figure out ideas for both."

"I'm not sure what else I could do to improve it, especially with that crazy version of the Variable Weapons System… but it's worth a look."

The man stepped over to a comms system, "Hey, Percy you there?"

Percy's voice came over the speaker, "Yes?"

The man spoke, "You got a place for me and Hub to head to work on X-1 design work?"

Percy sighed, "Best I can offer is that room. The better option would be the mecha hangar which would force you two out into the chaos."

The man looked at Hub, raising an eyebrow, "Any security concerns about the blueprints that we should know of?"

Percy spoke, "Not really since that table is only accessible by trusted people, so you shouldn't be troubled."

The man blinked, "Hub, are you getting any issues?"

"What do you mean?"

"Just making sure that we're not going to need support to help us get in."

"That won't be a problem. This body is capable of far more than it seems. I could easily access the entire computer network on this facility if needed."

"While true, we would like not to need to do that right? There's workers here who can help if needed. Why not use them?"

"I'm sure they have other things to do. There's no need to bother them."

Percy snorted, "We planned ahead and have a department for helping keep track of people in your situation and/or just dealing with computers and tech. So either way it's a part of their job anyway if you asked."

"I see. I've been living in computers and tech since I was reborn, but I guess I should let them do their thing. I don't want to step on any toes."

Percy laughed, "Honestly, we can just send ya a Navi from here. That'll help you with avoiding toes and may give you a look at the Navis here. I'm curious. I'll send over my NetNavi since she's not good for this job."

Annabeth's voice then spoke up, "We also don't mind either way since we figure most of the crew from out of universe are probably going to be heroes or villains, maybe a stray anti-hero. So most are either going to be very workable or just go get shit done types."

"It's a pity that the Copy Bot project was abandoned over here. These Navis don't know what they're missing."

Annabeth snorted, "The plans are able to be worked on and the ban lasts until around the mid-2200s. Mostly because our scientists figure that by that point we'll at least have easier access to space travel."

"Maybe one day this world will be ready for Navis and humans to inhabit the same plane of existence together."

The man nodded, "Indeed, anyway, we will let you guys get back to the army of the kaiju." He then turned off the speaker, turning to Hub, "I'll wait here and protect the room as you go meet up with the Navi. I got some other ideas to entertain my daughter, so just have fun in the computer world."

"All right."

"For this I rather you be unaware, I am planning to use some of my Elder God side and I rather not mess up your brain. I've set my powers to make sure that I am aware of when you're coming out of the computer systems."

Hub nodded and went on his way.

Inside the computer

Hub appeared inside of what appeared to be a fortress, finding a female custom NetNavi appeared in front of him. She appeared to be wearing a suit of armor with a cloak over her shoulders, bowing, "Nice to meet you, Hub. I am assuming you'd prefer to be called Hub to prevent confusion with this universe's MegaMan."

Hub nodded. "That suits me just fine. I could make up an alias but that's more X's thing."

She gave a snicker, "Anyway, I am named Amazoness. And no it's just Amazoness. No Amazonessman or Amazonesswoman… I never got those naming schemes."

"Noted. So what part of the system is this, and what do you do here?"

She smiled, "This is the main computer of the Londo Bell HQ, we have complete access to everything but I am unable to provide you with the ability to fully use it for security purposes. I am Percy Jackson's personal NetNavi and I don't have a job here besides keeping him in check."

"With that name, I should have guessed."

She smirked, "I was ironically a gift from Zeus to Percy for returning his Master Bolt."

"I guess it makes sense that even the Olympians would be into the whole Navi thing. I just feel sorry for whoever runs into them in an online match."

She shrugged, "Main users of them are Poseidon, Hera, Artemis, Apollo, Hermes, Hephaestus, Athena, and Hades. Anyway, you wanted to look at the X-1?"

"For starters, yes. Who exactly designed this version anyway?"

"Which one? Current time's blueprints or the one being used?"

"You mean there are already blueprints for upgraded versions, or spare ones somewhere?"

"The one outside is a future design based on our current blueprints. We're still about a month away from production."

"You mean as an upgraded form or for mass production?"

"The blueprints that came with it have it as a Gundam Victory converted into the X-1."

"Why that one specifically? And why a conversion instead of building it from the ground up?"

"The blueprints mentioned the one used had a better engine to handle the Multi-Weapon and Tool System. It was made by Char. Our current timeframe's blueprints are designed and being developed by Dr. Hikari and Dr. Oliver."

"Interesting… and weird. Then again, I remember how much trouble the energy requirements for the Variable Weapons System gave us. We had to install a sub-reactor just for that and switch it from hydrogen to orichalcum later."

"Huh… I haven't looked at our specific blueprints so I don't have any ideas on how that's being handled for either."

"Well, considering the kind of weapons they're packing, it would probably be a good idea to make sure they don't go wild and run out of energy to move. Although that may be a moot point because of the whole rage boost thing."

She gave a shrug, "I'll just give you access to either blueprints. Which do you want to start with or do you have the processing power to handle both? We can here but we also have higher storage space capacity in tech than it seems that your world does. These both are about 1.5 gigabytes."

"I can handle both. I designed and built one of our own."

She nodded, transferring both over, "I was just making sure I didn't overload your storage space capacity. I can't be sure your capacity is the same as ours. We have over a couple thousand terabytes of storage space here."

"I keep a few dozen free just in case I need to make backups at work or tweak the Copy Bot's systems on the fly."

She nodded, "Fair enough, I am sure we have techs who are willing to help with that."

"Hmm… Interesting… This is already giving me a couple of ideas…"

She raised an eyebrow, "Oh?"

"I'd have to run some calculations, but I'm already seeing some possible tweaks to our machines as well as these."

She gave a nod, "How so? I can transfer over to you our known resources that we have access to. Along with some that aren't in easy access."

"It's just a matter of being able to compare notes. My brother and I may not be as experienced at building giant robots but we've got the drive and inspiration to make up for that. Plus I can go without sleeping if needed and he has mecha shows playing nonstop on the monitors for ideas."

She gave a chuckle, "There's not that much experience for that here either, we're just now in our modern mecha start up. But we have a huge list of materials. The lists combined equal about five gigabytes of data."

"Really? I guess you got a head start with Gilliam's notes or something then?"

"That's just purely from our universe. We got access to the blueprints of the Ranger Tech along with some of the past mecha in the universe that dates back to when the Ultras weren't even Ultraman styled in shape and figures."

"So where does the Red Lantern style duplicate with unlimited energy and in overdrive mode come in?"

She shrugged, "That was an engine design in the works. Which was separate from mecha designs."

"So who exactly designed that crazy engine? How did it work even with those two outside the cockpit?"

She gave a harsh laugh, "It was a Russian scientist who was planning to add it to the Evas and Getters."

"A Russian? Who?"

"No name was given, they work with the KGB."

"The KGB still exist in this world? Why would they share anything with the outside?"

"Probably trying to destroy the mechs by overloading their reactors, but we adjusted the system to prevent that."

"So even at a time like this they'd still try to sabotage other people's efforts. Typical."

She shook her head, "The engine blueprints were given out back in 2006 when both mecha were announced to the public."

"My point stands. If they knew what those machines were for, then why would they still want to cause their reactors to overload?"

She gave a scoff, "This was still early on in where the Earth was getting used to the fact that fiction was reality so the Russians didn't realize that the threat was real and just were trying to remove threats. That's the official reason given to Londo Bell, which is sad but a fair reason in the time frame."

Hub shook his head. "Idiots…"

She shrugged, "Like I said, it's sad but it's a fair reasoning given the time. Most of the people who caught on to the fact until 2009 were from the European Union, Canada, Mexico, USA, and Japan."

"I'm guessing some people in Japan were just itching to have actual giant robots running around."

She gave a harsh laugh, "Most of their fiction in Japan has been happening in real life around them since 1898."

"All the way back then? Next you're going to tell me that old time Weird West stuff from pulp books is also real."

She shrugged, "No records on those stories but it's a fair guess."

"How do all these different power and magic systems coexist in the same world without contradicting each other anyway?"

She gave a snort, "Join the debate with the rest of science and magical researchers."

"I think I'd have to either get some headache pills or install a processor cooler on this body first. Or both."

She nodded, smirking, "Hence, why I said that. It's not worth thinking about at this point."

"You have to give it some degree of thought though. As long as you're using components that rely on those things, you need to make sure they work without endangering the pilots and everyone in the area."

She shrugged, "Not my job~ Anyway, you want the lists of materials? I think they have the properties on each of the lists."

"Send them over. It'll take a while to go through all this but it'll definitely be worth it."

She nodded, transferring the data over. "That should be the major stuff. The rest of the info on record are fan and amateur designs of ships, armor, weapons, and mecha that could be interesting but not of need for now."

"This is definitely a lot. The tech, materials and expertise needed to build even a fraction of these…"

"Indeed, we got access to a lot of those for Londo Bell's use, thanks to UNIT and other time travelers we work with. The future Enterprises not included."

"With all that time travel business, it sounds like this continuity was already in danger of unraveling even before I got punted through."

"Thankfully, we're aware that we run on a split timeline theory basis if a major change happens, so our resource gathering is limited to timelines that are dead anyway."

"Dead timelines? Do you mean everything in them was wiped out, or were they retconned?"

"More that there's no life whatsoever at the time of the time travel, we tend to aim for around five trillion years in the future to be safe."

"Why go that far into their future then? Wouldn't you learn more from earlier times when there's still life around?"

"The resource gathering time travelers just want to gather raw materials for use in our time. So they want to avoid issues with taking from living beings."

"Information and knowledge can be easily as valuable."

"We have three types of time travelers: resource gathering, researchers, and then you have the average ones who don't care for the rules."

"Which is why there are so many groups and entities monitoring time travel, from what I've been told."

"Yep, though we count the ones thrown into the shit show of time travel by accident, such as seen in Quantum Leap, as an accident and just a case by case handling of it."

"I've heard of that case. What happened to that guy anyway?"

She shrugged, "All of the groups and Doctors refuse to answer, giving an answer of 'He likes the fact that no one knows.' So, well then."

"Are they always like that?"

She shrugged, "That's just what I've read in the reports."

Hub paused for a moment, still processing the data.

She shrugged, "Take it or leave it, time travel is too much insanity to handle without just accepting there's things in the universe we'll never understand as robots and AI."

"I think even organic beings would have trouble wrapping their heads around some things."

She snorted, "Thankfully AI here is designed to think more organically than mechanically. Humans got advice from a ton of alien civilizations, some being purely mechanical in nature. But even still."

"The ability to process data faster than an organic being is useful, but without imagination, drive or creativity a purely mechanical civilization will eventually stagnate without outside input."

She gave a laugh, "Some were made by organic life and some were organics that had to convert to mechanical."

"Ah yes. Synthetic ascension. I've heard of the concept, but it makes no sense to me personally. Things would have to be very dire for an entire civilization or species to give up its original identity. Unless they were run by mad scientists."

"Mix all of the above with a few outliers. One of my personal favorite outliers is that a being had converted themselves to a robot while drunk and it was so much better than the organics that the government forced him to convert everyone in the city to see how much more productive the city would be…"

"That doesn't sound good…"

"Hence the reason it is my favorite way that an entire species did so."

"I'm guessing they weren't very big on safety measures either, if someone could just get drunk and turn themselves into a machine. So what happened to them after that?"

"Terminator situation but without killing off organics."

"And they didn't go on an assimilation spree either?"

"Yep, apparently they were similar to the USA South during the American Revolution."

"In what way?"

She gave a shit-eatting grin, "Yes."

Hub scoffed. "Smartass. I guess you've been spending some time with this version of Lan."

She shook her head, "No, Percy. He's as big of a smartass with less of a filter than Lan. He shit talked the Christian God and nearly got shot down until Jesus stepped in."

"Huh. I guess there's a reason why he's been so subdued around me. Relatively speaking."

She shook her head, "Nah, he just likes you. He gets to be that bad if he doesn't like you."

"How did this version of Lan get involved in this whole thing anyway?"

She smirked, "Had one one of the Rangers land on his head as they were giving up their powers."

Hub shrugged. "That sounds like the kind of thing to happen to him. I guess there's just something about people like us that makes us run into other unusual individuals."

She shrugged, "Probably. There's a few theories on that, some from Athena and some from mortals."

"I'm told that Warriors of Light in particular tend to find their way to each other. All the kids we recruited had that potential. In fact, that was one of the reasons why we ended up getting visitors from other worlds."

"Makes sense, that lines up with the theories so far. I'd recommend you to just ask for the theories from Athena, she's been leading the research since the immortals got revealed to the mortals."

"Considering the reputation of the Olympians, I'm not sure if I'd want to cross their path."

She smiled, "Athena is good when you're doing a discussion of theories and trying to expand your knowledge. Just don't be an ass around her."

"I make it a point to never be an ass to anyone. If anything, she 'd be the one likely to cause problems."

She shook her head, "Most of the Olympians in modern times have learnt from the past. The main problem makers are Zeus, who hasn't learnt much; Apollo and Hermes, pranking; Ares, his war god nature; and Demeter, a needy mother who can't let go and is addicted to wheat."

"Addicted to wheat?"

She raised an eyebrow playing an audio file, Demeter then spoke into the air, "EAT YOUR CEREAL! DON'T YOU DARE MAKE ME GROW THE WHEAT AND MAKE YOU MAKE YOUR WHOLE BREAKFAST!"

She then stopped the file, speaking calmly, "I refuse to answer why that happened."

"Sounds like she needs mental help."

She frowned, "She's been admitted to that over nine million times…"

"Then she's been released way too soon."

She shrugged, "Apparently they gave up cause it was similar to Batman's criminals and Arkham Asylum."

"You mean it was a revolving door."

She gave a sigh, "Escape created one at least."

"And that's one of the biggest problems with that kind of being. Very few people are actually able to get them to follow instructions or listen to anyone."

She smirked then, "Zeus at least removed her powers during the time she was meant to be there so she didn't cheat with the escape shit."

"Who's going to remove his powers when he goes too far though?"

She gave a shrug, "That's when a child does a Zeus to him. AKA overthrow him."

"If he's still around, I'm guessing that didn't last."

"Hasn't happened. Kronos's latest rising and Gaia's last awakening are the closest to that."

"So who holds him accountable when he behaves badly?"

"No one, he's a king after all. Comes with the territory at the time of his birth."

"And that right there is the whole problem with so-called gods. Power without accountability."

She gave a shrug, "Zeus's main issue is more his paranoia than outright ego and hate of others. Which is the common issue of the leaders of the gods that have made it to the modern age, if they aren't actually decent."

"That and his unsavory side activities, to put it politely."

She snorted, "That was left unsaid for a reason, no one likes it."

"It just doesn't feel right for someone to go around doing that over and over again and getting away without consequences."

"That's how it works for royalty, regardless of mortality."

Hub clenched a fist. "That kind of royalty tends to invite revolutions. It's not my world and I should keep my interference to what's necessary, but some things just aren't right. I'd better not run into him."

She gave a shrug, "He's gotten better since the shit with Kronos."

"I consider myself a forgiving man, but I don't think that would erase his past actions. Not to mention the way his victims got punished for his actions."

She raised an eyebrow, "And how much has changed in the time frame since? It's usually the victims who get the blame."

"Then society has to change. The world has to change. Humanity is still very far from its ideal state."

She gave a sigh, "That's not likely to ever change, keep in mind that even in Star Trek that trend still exists. Unsure about how that's handled in our actual future."

"Hasn't this world had an Asteroid Incident of its own?"

"Asteroid Incident? I don't know what'd reference."

"An alien AI in control of a planet killer artificial asteroid deciding to destroy Earth because of the concentration of evil in it? Because we had one of those and it was a real eye opener about certain things."

She shook her head, "If so then I haven't heard of it, I'd check with Dr. Oliver when the Kaiju Invasion is done."

"I suppose this world would be leaning more towards the light with all the superhero teams running around, but if there's a version of Duo in this universe similar to the one in ours, then he'll show up sooner or later."

She nodded, "We're only just now even researching darkness and light in that way. So we'll have to see, I guess."

"Not that it should take the threat of planetary destruction to get people to try to be better. But the evil acts committed by someone like Zeus and his dysfunctional family over thousands of years would add up."

She gave a sigh, "And keep in mind that we have multiple of each major religion's deities…"

"You mean because of all the different interpretations of them?"

"Yea….."

Hub raised an eyebrow. "I'm probably going to regret asking this but…"

She smirked, "Current estimates state we have close to over nine thousand centillion deities."

"That's… easily several trillion times the human population!"

She nodded, "Indeed. And that's pure Earth deities. The full number would be near impossible to estimate for just the Milky Way Galaxy."

Hub opened his mouth but no sound came out.

"And before you ask, yes, we also have Godzilla, anime waifus and Super Mecha Death Christ and pretty much anything you can imagine as actual deities."

A loud noise resembling a Windows error sound echoed through the local cyberspace.

She smirked, giggling, "You asked~"

"How hasn't this universe imploded on itself yet?"

"Dumb luck and stubbornness, I'd guess."

"Does Gilliam know about all of this?"

"I am assuming so, he was debriefed over the course of a month."

"That would help explain his drinking…"

She smirked, nodding, "Indeed."

"I think for now I'll just focus on the data you've sent me. Less odds of headaches that way."

She nodded, sitting down to meditate.

Hub stood motionless for a while, using all of his processing power to sift through the data.

She had at some point pulled out a handheld game device and just was gaming.

Hub raised an eyebrow. "That soundtrack sounds familiar…"

She shrugged as she stood up, having saved and turned off the device, "Pokemon is a good way to pass the time."

"How many hours have you put into that save file so far?"

"The game was only released today so about three hours."

"New one? I lost track after the tenth generation. Purple and Orange or something."

"It's a remake that is apparently unique to our universe. It's a mashup of the first three generations into a single game. Also apparently the Pokemon Company here got third party access so there's a PET, GameBoy Advance, PS2, PSP, PS1, GameCube, and Dreamcast version."

"Did they do the two versions of each nonsense around here too?"

She nodded, smirking, "But we got a much better version than you since there's actual plot differences and stuff. This remake includes all versions into a single ROM."

"I think at some point they were forced to just start releasing a single version because people got fed up with that and the content cutting."

She snorted in amusement, "The Pokemon Company stepped in during the development of Generation Two when Game Freak had to go to Iwata to get Johto to fit in the cart. Which is sad given our GameBoy carts can hold up to 500 gigabytes. Anyway, this remake is built using the next generation's battle system."

"With that much space, how did they mess it up?"

"Why do you think that the Pokemon Company stepped in? They were told to finish the games then they were considered a team for the rest of the Pokemon games not the main team. After the initial release of Generation 2, the Pokemon Company went third party and released versions of Generation 1 and 2 on the NES, Famicom Disk System, SNES, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, Sega CD, Sega 32X, Sega Game Gear, Sega Nomad Neo Geo Pocket, Neo Geo's console, and the PC-Engine. Along with a PC and arcade port."

"I… what?"

She shrugged, "I guess they wanted to cash in on the popularity of the franchise and Game Freak was bad for it so they hired a ton of teams."

"So Nintendo didn't have a monopoly on the games around here. Interesting."

She gave a shrug, "Keep in mind that like most universes that Nintendo owns a third of the Pokemon Company. So I have no idea."

"Wasn't there also a universe where Sega bought out Nintendo? Or was Axl making up tall tales?"

She snorted, "That's likely, and thus there's likely one that Nintendo did that to Sega. And the same for the Sony and Microsoft setup, etc."

"Now imagine if someone managed to gobble them all up. Scary thought."

She nodded, "No one sane is planning it at least. And the entertainment industry as a whole works with Londo Bell so we get a lot of blueprints and ideas."

"How was that arrangement made? I'm guessing they wanted the rights to make movies, shows and toys of all those heroes."

She gave a snort, "More that most of the known heroes who have deals got hired here, the rest of the industry just came to avoid headaches."

"So let me guess, a cut of the profits gets funneled into R&D for hero equipment since most of the heroes probably wouldn't accept money for this kind of work. There's probably a clause about some of it being donated to charity too."

"All of the workers who work on any of the games and so on based on anyone in our group get funded by the government and all profits get split 50/50 with R&D for Londo Bell plus our organization partners and charity."

"I'm also guessing that with so many heroes and secret identities the Londo Bell also has some kind of healthcare program for them so they won't take risks by going to a regular hospital."

She gave a shrug, "We are in the process of figuring that out."

"Didn't the Londo Bell already have this program before everyone's identities got leaked?"

She gave a sigh, "We only have been around for a month. So we're not fully there. Most of these operations are taken from UNIT and other groups."

"I guess not all of us can get two years or twenty to prepare…"

She nodded, "Indeed."

"So, while Lan is taking his involuntary power nap, who else is getting ready to head out?"

She pulled up a log, "Currently just stuck with Gilliam and the X-1. If the Getter Prototype is working we might get to see it in action. The EVAs are still in Tokyo-3 so they'll be fighting there. Other than that, we'll just have a ton of tanks and anti-Kaiju weapons. Apparently Luffa, both Yaks of other universes or timelines, and the demon girl."

"Not like Luffa and the Yaks need any mechs. Of course Yak might want one just because. I'd rather we didn't need the EVAs though."

She shook her head, "This invasion is seemingly to be everywhere from what our radars are suggesting so Londo Bell notified the public so pretty much it's all hands on deck. Sadly your Buster is apparently messed up otherwise you'd probably be called in too."

"It's not like I need it, strictly speaking. I could just fight in a mech or on foot. But what's wrong with it?"

She gave him a shudder, "We're being overcautious cause an Elder God is terrified of it. We're aware enough of tropes to ignore something that big. Our scans also do show some form of a multiversal level 'glitching' in the atoms." She did air quotes at the term 'glitching'.

"Well, if I ever run into the creature that threw me here, maybe I'll test it on her."

She gave a sigh, "At least wait for us to fix it first please."

Hub shrugged. "It's not like I'm defenseless without that module anyway. Just try not to damage it. It'll be a pain to replace until I figure out how to go back."

She gave a snort, "We got at the moment around nine hundred Googol of blueprints for arm mounted busters."

"Maybe, but that one was a custom mode with its own self-contained power generator. I don't have a crazy internal reactor like X or Zero."

She gave a nod, smirking, "You won't have to worry about that, I know for a fact that a ton of children of Hephaestus want to work with you on a new body for you and busters."

"I'm not sure how to feel about that. This body was a present from a friend and has served me well for over twenty years."

She shook her head, "The idea is to protect that body until you can return to your universe. So a new body allows us to study it and try to find the issues in the body so we can help figure out the soul side of things."

"It would be easier to make me some armor then."

She shook her head, "We are planning to have the body in a stasis tube on the Londo Bell Enterprise for study since that's theoretically the safest place to hold it and they have the needed technology for you to transfer bodies, from their information the Londo Bell Enterprise is from a future that's further on than even Luffa's time. So it's very easy to do the transfer, we just want you to have the best body that we can provide."

"I can do the transfer myself. Tactile technomancy, courtesy of the nanite augmentation package I got way back. But if it were to come to that, then make sure not to misplace this body."

She snorted, "Given that we know that Percy's the captain of that Enterprise, we checked who the NetNavi was for him. Still me so that'll be simple to do, also the stasis tubes are in their Medbay so that shouldn't be an issue since their plan is to stick around so we can get everything figured out on the body. The transfer is going to be handled by Hephasteus, Hermes, Apollo, and every other deity that deals with medicine, deliveries, and technology. So the body is in very safe hands."

"I'd still like to examine the new body first, just to make sure it's up to my standards."

She nodded, "The new body project is headed completely by you. I can get you in contact with the team."

"So what kind of materials are they planning to use?"

She shrugged, "The project only just got together so they were going to ask you, they've been trying to get in contact for the past hour."

"They most likely have access to a wider variety, including some substances that may make the new body more durable than the original."

She nodded, "Indeed, I have the same assumptions but I can't give a definite answer due to me not having the same level of understanding as them. Children of Hephaestus usually have a naturally born understanding of mechanics and science on a near quantum physics level."

"Interesting. Have any of them become scientists or engineers?"

"Mainly engineers."

"So, am I being sent to their workshop or are they coming here?"

"Via PET communications or phones. Pretty much you're in charge of the whole project so we're just doing it via that to help with sanity."

"Mine, yours or theirs?"

"We're in the main computer so both are being used and the sanity of everyone."

"What kind of network connection do they have anyway? Fiber, quantum entanglement, magic?"

She gave a snorting laugh, "It's just wi-fi."

Hub blinked. "Wi-fi? All the way between here and Olympus or wherever they are?"

"Yep. We use satellites and moon-based connections to maintain wi-fi on Earth. It's the same for any wireless communications."

"Next you're going to tell me you have a Moonbase and an underground base hidden under a movie studio."

"Unsure of the Moonbase for heroes, but Rita and Zedd had a palace on the moon so that was converted to an UN base. And a small army in the 1920s through 1940s had bases for their steam-based mecha under entertainment centers and theaters."

"Steam? How would they produce enough energy to move something like that?"

She gave a shrug, "We assume that it's a heavily pressurized piping setup. The design is still a Japanese government design. You may have heard of some of the pilots from potential interactions with X and Zero? We're aware of four pilots who've been to the Cross Zone. Gemini Sunrise, Erica Fontaine, Sakura Shinguji, and Ichiro Ogami. The mecha are called 'Spiricle Armor'."

"Yes… I think I've heard those names before. If memory serves, at one point they also ran into a monstrously strong guy in a white gi with a black belt. Sega… Segata Sanshiro?"

She gave a shrug, "We're only aware of them having an interaction due to a multiversal blast that hit our universe."

"It sounds like the dimensional boundaries were wobbly even before I got punted here."

She sighed, "More like an Elder God battle broke out near our universe."

"Doesn't sound like a way to live. Always running the risk of getting wrecked by shockwaves or trampled underfoot."

She gave a rough snort, "From what I read it was actually an accident due to one of them being flung inside of a spatial anomaly that caused them to be split into their original Elder God body and a mindless beast."

"And who flung it in the first place? Sounds like they don't give a damn about collateral damage."

She sighed, "I'd assume another Elder God, there's at least five known Elder Gods of Chaos."

"The more I hear about them, the more they sound like enemies of humanity and a menace to all living things."

She gave a harsh glare, "Then you haven't realized the reason for divine beings. They exist to keep nature in check. This is the case for them in every universe from the research that we got from the Londo Bell Enterprise. So if you removed them from existence, there'd either be nothing to do in our level of existence, or even worse, there'd be nothing to prevent the elements from destroying everything."

"You call this keeping nature in check? It sounds more like reality is their playground and we're just toys to them at best."

She gave him a sigh, "Would you rather deal with having to survive hurricanes and tornadoes 24/7? Cause they found a few universes without divine beings and that's the usual situation if the universe wasn't just a void of nothingness."

"Opposed to what? Getting your whole planet or universe wrecked by their stupid games? We can find solutions on our own instead of depending on the mood of inscrutable creatures."

She shrugged, "On a universal scale, the divine beings of planetary linkage tend to be made by mortals. For beings on a multiversal scale, I'd reference our Elder God co-worker, I guess? I got no better way to describe the relationship at the moment."

"Then maybe we just need to stop feeding their egos and power and save our belief for ourselves. Even without going into the Cthulhu wannabes, Zeus is enough of a reason not to feed them."

She shrugged, "Most of them are usually made to teach lessons to society and then gain the belief to exist. So it's one of those situations on a planet-based scale of it being a natural situation for being born over them existing first. The Christian God seems to be a mix of both so unsure on that."

Hub rolled his eyes. "Oh yes, a lesson. I'm sure all those women Zeus raped or all the innocent people they tortured were a lesson… A lesson not to trust them, that is."

She just stepped forward to him and summoned a hard light glove and smacked him in the face, hissing out, "Stop being an idiot about this and just learn to deal with the fact it exists and move on! Unless you want to end up looking like 90% of mecha pilots and heroes who die because they couldn't let something go that should have been…"

Hub glared daggers at her. "Don't do that again. If you want to act like an advocate or a sockpuppet for them, that's on you. I've always gotten through life with the strength of my will and my bonds, and I'm not going to be anyone's plaything or let anyone step on me like a bug."

Before she could interject, he cut her off.

"You sound like a battered housewife making up excuses for an abusive, alcoholic, cheating husband. Don't just shrug and say it can't be helped. Take some damn responsibility for your existence."

With that, he left Cyberspace and shut down his wireless receivers, walking out of the room.

The Elder God gave a sigh, lifting the kitsune onto his shoulders and followed him, "Got to stay near ya. If only to keep you safe from a stray kaiju attack, I don't need to be in the same exact location but close enough to do that. Anyway, how'd the blueprints look? And no, I don't do the thing that some deities like to do and read people's minds without permission. So I literally have no idea what happened there. Though I can find out if I cared to do so, I just don't want to since I am trying to play within the mortal limitations to at least not be a complete ass. And before you ask, it's a stupidly common question."

Hub raised an eyebrow. "If you want to do this whole mortal limitations thing, you could start by slowing down and breathing between sentences."

He gave a laugh, "I am in the body of a race of mortals with an insane lung capacity. It's just the proto-Elder God species. Basically the same rules for my body with just lower access to magic and powers. Anyway, how'd the blueprints look to ya?"

Hub took a deep breath, his annoyance fading.

"Pretty impressive and I already have some new ideas from comparing versions. There's a limit to what I can build with the technology we have on my end, but we need to be careful about spreading dangerous knowledge anyway."

He gave a nod, "For this universe, I am able to use my powers to help with materials to make mecha and armory stuff. They use a lot of quantum science bending technology so making the materials wouldn't change enough for me to be worried about it. So if you wanted to create the ideas here, I could probably help you with the building and transportation of them since it'd be technically legal within the quantum science realm."

Hub shook his head. "That's not my point. I need to think about the future. If even a couple of these technologies fell into the wrong hands or spread without control…"

He gave a nod, "Indeed, why I am not asking you to do it. Just giving you the information that it's possible."

"It's good to know, for future reference."

He sighed, "It's a thing that sucks about trying to do this without any quantum science pushback issues. You got to know how they work."

Hub grimaced. "Let's try not to break reality further, at least for now."

He nodded as he broke out into a grin seeing a form darkly broodingly walking towards them with his face glaring at the ceiling, "Oi! Yak!"

Yak stopped in place, glaring at him, "What the fuck do you want, you stupid Zeus wannabe?!"

The Elder God calmly took in a few deep breaths as he calmed down the furious pink kitsune kitten on his head, who clearly wanted to pounce upon the insult. After calming her down, he summoned an old beaten up teddy bear which had clearly been torn apart and made into the shape of a dragon along with a black pacifier. "You need me to pull a mood killer on you and just stick these in your mouth and arms?"

Yak's right eye twitched, before he rushed at the man and rapidly punched and kicked at his groin for about three minutes, each impact creating a sharp snap. Hub just raised an eyebrow but said nothing.

The man just raised an eyebrow after he stopped, neither the man or Yak showing who the snaps came from, "You done?"

Yak just huffed and stormed off, calling an elevator once he was out of sight. As the elevator arrived, the kitsune snapped her fingers.

Viper's voice broke the silence, "Yak…? Are you coming out of the closet or what?!"

Seto's laughter could be heard as he spoke through his laughter, "I never took you to be a My Little Pony fanboy, Yak!"

Yumi's amused but confused voice could be heard, "But why Pinkie Pie?" (Author's Note: This is meant to be Generation 3's Pinkie Pie. I only just realized that timeline wise the MLP: Friendship is Magic was a potential generation to consider.)

Yak just spoke out, "Zeus wannabe? I'll accept half of the offer."

The man just snapped his fingers and the teddy bear disappeared as the elevator was heard closing, "I gave him protection from you this time daughter…"

The kitsune was just giggling up a storm.

Hub sighed. "I suppose at least it never gets boring around here."

Out of nowhere he heard what sounded like a laugh track from an old time TV sitcom.

The man groaned, "Oh, yea… It's an echo of this daughter of my wife… Shit…"

The only reply he got to that remark was to immediately ram himself face first into a falling brick.

The man just sighed, "Anyway… How did the trip to the computer turn out besides the plans?"

As Hub turned a bit to look at the man, the man gave a sharp moan as he collapsed which caused him to drop the kitsune as he began to bleed out white, red, and gold blood from his mouth, eyes, ears, and stomach.

The kitsune gasped as she shouted out, "Daddy!"

"What the hell…"

Hub rushed to the man, his right hand already lighting up.

The man growled, "No! Don't forget that your body and Buster are unstable on a quantum physical level! You try to help and you could blow us both up!"

"You took away the adapter module, remember? Besides, I don't need my Buster to do this. Now hold still."

The man just gave a groan, "Keep it low then, I just am suffering from my main body being overwhelmed… I just need to get us to the nearest Command Center."

Hub pressed the glowing hand to the man's stomach and started pouring radiant energy. "Explain."

The man just sighed, using Hub as a standing post, grabbing his shoulder to sit up, "Simple, my main body is in a protective realm with the multiverse's Elder God body. While according to Fate, she's meant to die, I've decided to pull a Yak and say 'Fuck fate'. So I am basically splitting my soul into various parts where it's needed. Such as this situation where you were thrown through yourself. Since there will be echoes of this universe… There's more of that. Plus I've bound the souls of myself and the multiverse. So we'll see how things work out…"

He coughed heavily, "Damn it…"

"So something went wrong. Splitting your soul sounds like a reckless and dangerous thing to do though."

The man chuckled, "My soul is already split anyway due to the damn curse from the Creator. Either way, I made many mistakes and horrible choices as both a mortal and Elder God. I am ready for death if it is my time. But I refuse to let my inaction due to fate be the cause of the deaths of trillions at the minimum."

"I can't even begin to imagine living through that many lifetimes, or being split. But now isn't the time to give up."

The man gave a smirk, "Who said that I was giving up! I got plenty of surprises up my sleeves… Just help me up and get us to a Command Center."

"I don't think anyone told me how to use the teleport system."

The man groaned, tapping Hub's forehead, "There you go."

Hub blinked at the sudden transfer of information into his mind. "Whoa. Next time say something first."

The man gave a sigh, "Didn't have the time to walk. So we needed a rush job."

"Just wasn't expecting this method. OK, I think I've locked onto the control system. Here we go."

The man nodded, grabbing the kitsune.
