Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Silver Petals. Enjoy the 3700-word chapter. I don't own MLP, Hasbro and a few others do.
Silver could not have believed his ears. He really couldn't have. Not simply because of how odd this had been, no… Because to him? Such an odd thing had been too impossible. No, what terrified him to the core? Simple, the idea that he had been able to have focused more and more the more time goes on.
Still? A concert… At Pipp's salon? Well, it seems he had missed the proper details… Well, no matter in his mind. Yes. It hadn't been something that he had read. It seemed as if he was constantly missing the little details. Such a thing was beyond saving, such a thing had cut through him. He smiled before he realized that they'd be bothering him for the details the entire time. It was so odd, yet so unbecoming of such a thing. It had been a hard problem that he had to focus on.
Still? He found it to be fun. His siblings would have had the proper time for one of Pipp's concerts. The only problem was they were such massive fans it gave them giant tunnel vision. That could not stand. No, such problems had to be stamped out sooner or later. Such a problem, such a pest. It had been something he couldn't have let rest.
They were nice siblings and he loved them but to heck and back did it anger him to have gotten so far just to watch all of it collapse backward. Oh, did it hurt to be them?
It was embarrassing to see them act like school fillies who had never seen a princess when push had come to shove. Silver loved his siblings, he honestly did. Yet? He knew they could be a LOT more overbearing when it came down to it.
There was a lot to mentally unpack when it came down to it. A lot he didn't know about.
Then again? If they had known Pipp had a giant opening at her salon a week ago? Silver knew point blank they'd have stormed the place faster than anything which meant that they'd have worse and worse problems on the mind. It'd not properly be done and dusted anytime soon. There was too much on his mind.
He was also part of a crowd of people that all seemed to have wanted to enter the salon which Pipp hadn't yet greeted them like she usually did when they got her. This was weird, but it would have been something that hadn't yet gotten out of control.
Silver was not so much angry as a few ponies when it came down to it. Silver honestly felt more curious as to how this would have gone as he stepped out of the group.
"C'mon, I have an appointment to get to!" One of them yelled. "Ugh, where is she? She's got something good planned; I hope." He heard as he rolled his eyes before he shook his head and looked around, too interested when it came down to it.
He trotted around the group, not trying to slip ahead. The tickets all had a certain seat and time anyway. The only thing that could have been compared when all of it was said and done was when they'd be let in.
And unlike the others who seemed content to all swirl their complaints into some sort of debate over hairdressers? Silver decided simply to ask as it seemed at least one or two other ponies had something when it was all something else, something else before he clicked his tongue.
He stopped to look at the rest of the building before he hummed and looked out the window. Pipp was inside which told him that they were bickering over nothing when it came down to it. There were too many problems on his mind that it was all done for now. He was sure when it was all said and done that this was probably something less annoying.
He was too prepared to be curious. He wanted to have been cautious when it was all said and done when it was all over and done.
He rubbed at his nose and waited to see if he could talk to Pipp. He recognized the machine. A music machine was usually used around his job to lighten the mood and get people to relax when it was all said and done. This problem was simply technological which told him something was afoot.
There was a lot more of a problem when it should have been completed rather easily when it came down to it. He decided he'd help if for nothing else than to get this all done and dusted.
He rubbed at his nose, too unsure of what to question next. He slowly opened the door, the creak throwing off enough noise to startle the Pegasus.
"SORRY!" Silver said before gently closing the door. "Sorry, your majesty. There's a giant crowd of people outside wondering why you hadn't opened and they're too busy arguing. I uh… Thought I'd come after if the person who's going to be styling our manes is ok." Silver said before he cracked his neck.
Silver hummed before Pipp started to look away from the machine. A music machine that he had seen once or twice, a new model he believed. Perhaps it had been something that had drawn her attention so much more. He didn't recognize if it was anything like the one, he had seen near his job. Then again? He hadn't seen much of anything from them before.
There was all too much upon his mind for him to notice she had spoken for a few seconds. Perhaps it had just been his odd little imagination.
"Oh, my little Pippsqueak squad outside… I forgot about them." Pipp stated before she sighed and turned back to her machine. "There's something wrong with this stupid machine. It's not turning on and I need music if I'm going to work." Pipp stated before she slowly brushed her mane back.
"Uh, maybe I could take a look? I've done construction work and I've been working on machines. I'm no electronic expert, but maybe I can do something." Silver said before he shrugged.
Pipp went to say something before the odd Earth Pony slid under the machine and started to look around before she sighed to herself.
"So… Are you one of my little Pippsqueaks? I did announce all of this yesterday online." Pipp asked before she raised an eyebrow. "Sorry, I'm so caught off guard. This is weird." Pipp stated to which Silver hummed.
"Yeah, just a bit new to phones and stuff." Silver said as he hummed before he sighed. "So, I'm not an electrician, but I THINK I know what happened, one of the machine's innards wasn't properly fixed and it might have gotten jostled… Simple word? It simply had a loose gear I fixed." Silver said before he tapped the machine.
Music began to play which filled the entire room with a vibrant melody as Pipp clapped, smiling before she hugged him, making him blink as he tried not to blush while her wings wrapped around him.
"THANK YOU!" Pipp said before she blushed and realized what had happened.
"Uh, are you ok?" Pipp said while Silver nodded awkwardly.
"Yeah, just not used to stuff like this." Silver said before he brushed back his mane. "I'm sorry. I didn't get to introduce myself. Silver Storm, Maretime Bay construction, and enjoyer of music like your last few songs… Didn't take you for someone who used Gust Jingle as a background track." Silver stated to which Pipp blinked.
"Wait, you know about Gust Jingle? Nobody in town besides my friends seemed to notice, they are one of the best background tracks." Pipp asked to which he had said nothing for a few seconds.
There was all too much upon the mind when it seemed to have been something that hadn't been here before.
Pipp watched as the Earth Pony nervously tapped his hoof on the ground. He had been thrown off entirely by her mannerisms. He hadn't entirely been used to her way of things which meant that this was all too much for him.
Then again? To Pipp? Nothing at all was too much, nothing was beyond her control and command. If anything? He had been far too confused by her mannerisms when all of this was said and done. They had so many problems which this comes to.
"Are you going to be, ok?" Pipp said as Silver nodded and rubbed at his neck with a bit of a small blush appearing on it.
"Yeah, just a bat caught off guard?" Silver stated before he cleared his throat. "Sorry. I'm not used to all this friendship stuff. Not to be rude, it's just a little bit hard at construction work to get people to talk about something that does not work." Silver said as he shrugged.
"Oh, that's why you have some dirt on your face right… Here." Pipp said before she brushed off a sparkle of dirt on his face. "Ugh, my hooficure… Sorry, hate dirt. Love your tech skills, and your music ones. I didn't think somepony was as into music as well, me and my friends." Pipp said to which Silver hummed.
"You mean Sunny and all of them." Silver stated to which there was some amusement in his tone before now. "Anyway? What's that like? I uh… Suppose it might be better to talk when your customers aren't busy thinking the worst?" Silver stated before he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth.
He knew better than to have something like this upon them. Pipp hummed at her neck for now. There was too much upon which this could be something else.
Pipp blinked and then flew to the door, too amused, and threw them open before she turned to see that Silver tried to slink out the back doors of the building. She sighed and flew towards him with such interest. They hadn't yet questioned what was going on.
He sighed before he looked up at her with interest. He questioned what Pipp would have done before she poked him on the top of his head.
"Hey, I said I owed you one, ok? You're staying here… Have a seat, I'll talk to you after I deal with my little Pippsqueaks, ok?" Pipp stated before she watched as she seemed to have tipped to the side.
There was all too much upon which this could have gone. This was too odd for him. Yet? This wasn't yet over. They had a problem to which none of them could easily answer, none of them had the tools to which could send this all crashing downwards.
Pipp sighed as she knew he was shy. It was written all over his face that he hadn't been as used to the attention. Well, attention in this manner. She'd fix that if she could later when there was time, and she could do something about it. However, for now, she had to make sure all of this was ok for the time. She didn't know what would come next, but she was all too prepared for it at the time.
They had so much to do when this was over. So much to dwell upon, she'd deal with that sooner or later. She watched as he started to talk
"Are you sure? I don't want to end up bugging anypony and the last thing I want is to bother somepony." Pipp heard as she rolled her eyes and looked around, too amused to which she seemed to question for now.
"Are you entirely sure?" Silver questioned what would happen next.
He was tired, too amused as to how this would have gone for now. He sat in place as there was little to nothing to have to stop him from leaving but was all too much for the young Earth Pony. He hadn't yet seemed to have to focus on her for now as he sighed and tapped his hooves on the ground in horror.
He sighed mentally as he seemed to think of what to do next. There was a lot more to have to question about her. This still hadn't yet seemed to have bothered him problematic what to do next for now.
"Are you sure?" Silver said while he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth before he slowly tapped his hooves on the floor.
He nodded before she seemed to have to question what to have done next. She was odd before now.
This was odd in a way that there was only so much he could try and comprehend about such a topic. He found it to be more and more terrifying to have been pushed into a part of life like this for the time being.
"Yeah, I'll be fine," Pipp stated before she mentally rubbed her temples. "Sorry, I'm not trying to be weird. This day has been so weird and it's driving me crazy." Pipp said to which she had fallen silent for only a few moments.
She knew he was probably terrified. She could tell her away that it had been too much for the Earth Pony to have to deal with. She supposed that he'd need some help later with it all. This simply seemed to have to bother her more and more, she needed to repay him for all the work he had put into trying to do this for her.
Pipp was silent as she watched Silver slowly start to follow her around, perturbed by now as to how this was to have gone for now. If anything? Pipp fell silent before now as she pondered her options.
"You're not as outgoing as me, are you?" Pipp said as Silver plopped into a chair.
"Not as much, no. All this small talk is easy, but anything outside that? It gets harder and harder. Being in the spotlight or center of attention for two long gets me nervous. Not as much as you think, but it's still there." Silver said before he climbed into the chair.
"Hmm. Not everyone can handle the limelight, how about I help with that? You did help fix my music machine; I owe you something for that at LEAST" Silver heard as Pipp hummed.
"Uh. Are you sure?" Silver questioned to which Pipp nodded.
"Yeah, it's the least I can do for a loyal Pippsqueak like you. I help out all my fans if I can… Well, I want to try at least." Pipp stated while she sighed and rubbed at her temples, too amused and thrown off by these antics.
She didn't know what Silver would have done, but she cared enough about him to at least attempt to help him out at the time.
Plus, it wasn't like she just left people to flop out in the ocean like dying fish. She winced at that idea for the time being when it came down to it as of the time being he questioned.
He looked at her before he crossed his arms across his chest. He didn't even know what to say for a few moments before he cleared his throat and then looked around. Silver didn't know what to tell her for the time being.
"What do you want me to tell you?" Silver stated to which she hummed. "Sorry, I'm a little thrown off for the time being." Silver stated before he shook his head and then hummed to himself.
"Sorry, I'm used to talking when it comes down to it," Pipp said before she rubbed at her nose and then looked around. "And sure! Talk as much as you want, it's not weird to talk about stuff like that." Pipp stated to which she sighed.
She knew better than to involve his fate in her hooves. It was just odd to her at the moment that she had been quiet. She didn't at all know what was coming at the focus time.
Still? She didn't at all understand for the time being what was coming, and she didn't even grasp the small little details of their situation. Yes, she didn't know what this was. Yet? She didn't at all know for the time being.
She didn't know what to tell the others. She didn't know what her friend would have stated, she didn't know what the plan was. Pipp was too focused on her future and the small little details. If anything? Pipp hadn't yet seemed to find anything.
"Are you sure you are, ok?" Pipp asked to which she frowned and looked around with a small amount of interest.
"Maybe, but I'm losing my mind, Ms. Pipp, I don't know what's going on and I don't want to panic." Silver stated before he frowned and rubbed at his head before he sighed to himself. "I'm just so confused for now." Silver stated before he sighed to himself.
"I'm sorry, my mind will hurt a lot more than you think, I'm nervous around so many people, yet I don't even know for now." Silver stated to which he hummed to himself.
"Everyone has problems like that sooner or later," Pipp said. "It's not easy to admit it when you think about it. you shouldn't know it as easy as you think. Sorry, musing to myself about my Pippsqueaks which I've got to focus on for now… Anyway? Feel free to take your seat and I'll be there a moment." Pipp added to which Silver was silent, not sure how to react and how he should have reacted.
Perhaps he was just silent, and he liked it that way, Silver had never known himself to talk more than he usually had. Caused so much, all of their problems weren't going to be enough. The entire world wouldn't be enough for them at this rate and yet?
Well? Silver said and did nothing as it did little to nothing, little could be said or done to stop Pipp from her task, so he said little to nothing. It was worth noting in his mind that he didn't at all find it as fun and interesting as it seemed or needed to be.
Pipp looked at her customer with a raised eyebrow as if expecting something to happen to make them shyer and more nervous, it was all too much, all too soon. Perhaps she had riled him up, she heard she had a lot more problems to need to focus upon sooner or later. It wasn't exactly often someone caused problems and problems galore. It wasn't clear if she needed to change or if they did. Perhaps she had bothered them at the end of the day.
Pipp didn't at all know the answer to if Silver was bothered by her problems and yet. It was to be answered down the road sooner or later. If anything? All she wanted to do was try and fix their problems, an easy enough task given the attitude that she had toward her.
Then again? She was worried about bothering them correctly if at all, it wasn't often she bothered a customer, and it wasn't her intention to do so at the time being.
Perhaps it was something she could ask the others about and find it to be as distracting as she wished and yet? It didn't at all seem to bother him or her, if anything. It was so blasted off that such a gesture would always remain over and over a problem such as this when it was clear more or less such a thing needed to be done and it needed to be done sooner or later before. It mattered only that she could only taste it and it tasted far sweeter than she envisioned it. The sweet fruit of constantly trying and failing to get what she wanted. It was so close she could taste it.
The only problem was time and effort, and it was clear she was willing to donate both in equal measure, perhaps it was just her? Pipp saw nothing wrong with her personality or anything along the line which meant more and more that it was just Silver being shy.
Nothing at all and yet it bothered her to see someone so glum and so downtrodden after helping her, it demanded her help and not a second too late or early, for now, all that would matter was helping a friend before any single little thing came out of place. It would not be pleasant, but it could end so easily and so without incident. If anything? All that needed to happen was something big and boisterous and yet far more and more of an issue, for now, questioning what to do next. It was more and more of an issue for now, interesting for now.
It seemed to be a problem, for now, it's going to be an issue for now. It was a lot more of an odd little problem, for now, all seemed to be more of a questionable problem now.
"Are you going to be, ok?" Pipp questioned before focusing on such issues.
"Are you going to be, ok?" Pipp asked before looking up at the roof before looking up and roof before sighing before now.
Pipp seemed to be utterly caught off guard, entirely focused on her work before frowning to himself, and then slowly started to think of problems in his mind before looking upwards and into the sky and looking up.
"Sorry, my mind is all cut up." Silver stated before tapping on his brain and looking around the room. "Are you going to be, ok? Ow, my brain is spinning all over the place." Silver said as he nodded, contending to see it all end sooner or sooner.
