In the midst of a snowy field, a young boy was wearing a large brown cloak, his natural body temperature being more than enough to help him traverse the harsh weather.
Eren was able to locate Crocus and get to a library to see if there's any additional information he could find on the Rogue Vagabond. As detailed and creditable as the book was, it was still an old book, and as a result, can be considered outdated. Eren needed additional information on not only the object, but the location of the current era and where it could possibly be placed.
The Titan Shifter also needed alternatives. As lucky as finding that book was, it was just that: Dumb Luck. Eren couldn't just rely on the Rogue Vagabond, if it even exists, to be his only way home. Not only that, Eren still needed to locate the other soldiers of the Scouting Regiment. If the soldier supposed anything, they were likely scattered and trying to find each other and work together to get back home, completely unaware of what his friends and the other scouts were actually doing despite the reasonable assumption.
When he got to Crocus, Eren immediately hit the books. Although he wasn't exactly one for putting his nose in the pages, Eren remembered seeing Armin's book about the outside world and the content it contained. It fascinated him, and he got those feelings of wonder while roaming around the library. The different places, legends, history, and people all awed him, but he kept himself focused.
Eventually, he found what he was looking for. There was a book containing old myths and legends in this world and knows that the last sighting of the legendary artifact was spotted up North near the mountains. Leading to his current predicament.
"Man, this snow is ruthless, but nothing I haven't been through before." Eren said to himself. He remembered a training exercise like this that they all had to go through, but unfortunately, Krista, Ymir, and Daz have gone missing. Thankfully, they were able to make it back in one piece.
"Hope that's the case for everyone else." Eren kept walking, leaving a path of footprints that will soon be covered up by the never-ending snow.
That was until he saw some light in the distance. Eren walked closer and saw as far as he could. Sure enough, despite the falling snow and lack of natural lighting in the area, he could make out what seemed to be street lamps.
"That's it! That has to be the place where I need to be!" Now feeling excited and motivated again, Eren sprinted as fast as he could, his magic melting away all the snow, allowing him to stretch his legs out and run properly.
That was when the snow started to come down faster, seemingly countering his magic by freezing what Eren had burnt off. Eren stopped running and assessed the situation.
"What's with the weather? Even with the magical nature of this world, the weather is usually normal unless it's being heavily influenced by magic." When he finished his sentence, Eren's eyes grew wide at the end.
"But if that's the case, what is causing the snowstorm to intensify?" Eren got his answer when the temperature suddenly dropped at a fast pace. He instantly felt colder than he was before, which is to say not at all. Eren spun around, making sure to look at all directions to see any traces of what could cause this. He found what he was looking for when he saw a silhouette in the distance, a silhouette that seemed to be coming closer, and closer towards his direction.
Eren kept his guard up, but decided to call out to it.
"Hey! Who's there!" The shadow stopped, seeming to acknowledge Eren. It suddenly called back to him.
"Hey kid, what are you doing here?" From the tone of the voice, Eren could tell it belonged to a middle-aged man.
"I'm just heading to town. What are you doing here?" Eren repeated back. The man stopped for a second before speaking again.
"Oh nothing." He slowly walked up to a distance where Eren could clearly see him. It looked to be a tall, black-haired man with black eyes, a spiky and short hairdo, and a bit of stubble on his chin. He barred some scars on his face, pointy ears with silver-colored earrings, and long sideburns.
He wore what appeared to be brown and yellow winter gear under a giant metal chest plate with purple shoulder pads that bore an emblem of some kind, most likely a guild mark that Eren didn't recognize. On the left breastplate of the armor, there was the words "Absolute Zero" engraved into it.
"I'm just hunting for some demons."
"Who are you?" Eren asked, getting a strange vibe from the man. After his encounter with Rave, he didn't want to take any chances, especially that part of "hunting demons". The man looked up to him and gave a weird smile.
"Me? I'm known as Absolute Zero. But if you want my real name: You can call me Silver." He introduced.
"So, what was that part about demons?" Eren questioned. Silver waved his hands.
"Oh, it's nothing you need to worry about. It's just something I tend to do in my spare time." He explained. "You can run along now kid, I have places to be."
"Like where?" Eren asked. Silver sighed.
"If you really want to know, I've heard rumors that there is a fire demon nearby. I'm on my way to take care of it. After that, that's one less fire hellspawn I need to worry about for now" The Titan Shifters eyes widened.
'Fire Demon? Is he talking about Kinvinaris?!' Eren knew in his heart that the demon that took him on was on this guy's hit list. If that is so, he can not allow Silver to get to him. Kinvinaris was still recovering his strength, and there is no way he is back at full power after Eren left. If he could beat him, then he would be easy pickings for Silver.
'Wait, this guy mentioned that he hunts demons as a hobby. In that case, is he also?' Eren glared at the man, getting him to have a confused look on his face. The soldier walked a few steps until he was in front of the man, but keeping his distance.
"I don't think so." Eren warned. Silver continued to look at him bewildered, but simply sighed again.
"Look kid, I don't have time to play games alright. Besides, you don't know what you're getting into." Silver shot back.
"Oh, I think I do." Eren replied, heating up with body in a fiery aura. Silver was caught up guard by the flame's colors and the negative energy it was producing. He recognized this magic.
"I'll be damned. You also have that power, huh? A Demon Slayer." Silver analyzed. He gave a deep chuckle.
"Guess what. So do I." He answered, his magic aura pulsating so Eren could feel it. The boy simply narrowed his eyes.
"Judging by your name and the fact you were responsible for this weather, I don't have to take a guess on what your element is." Eren inquired.
"Yep. You got that right. I'm an Ice Demon Slayer." He clarified. "Now I'm wondering: Where did you get that magic, and why are you standing in my way?" He interrogated. Eren didn't respond, just standing there looking at him menacingly. Silver pouted at the teen's attitude. He wasn't going to get the answer from him directly. However, he didn't need to.
"Well damn. A demon actually took you in and taught you their magic." He said.
"That's right. And I won't let you kill the man that took me in!" Eren declared. Silver gave him a weird look, then started laughing.
"Man, that's rich. A demon actually took the time to teach you the magic that can kill them. And here I thought the only thing those despicable creatures were good at is killing and destroying everything they touch." Silver started off in a humorous tone, before ending on a bitter note.
Eren felt the bitterness and sadness coming from him. It reminded him of his own anger against the titans. But that didn't matter now, he needed to stop this guy before he could get to Kinvinaris.
Eren readied his Demon Slayer Magic, blue flames covering his body like a cloak. Silver chuckled again.
"Well if it's a fight you want, kid, it's a fight you'll get. Although I have to warn you: Despite the elemental advantage you have here, they rarely work in this world." Silver announced, taking a battle stance.
"I know." Eren answered, remembering his fight with Rave and his Water Magic unable to douse his flames.
With that final sentence, Eren lit his fists and swords on fire and leapt in the air charging into battle. Silver just gave a soft smirk and brought his arm to his chest. With one swipe, a wave of incredibly powerful ice magic filled the air and Eren was frozen solid. His ice-covered body fell to the ground and landed gently in the snow.
"Was all of that banter just talk kid?" Silver asked. He got no response.
He actually considered calling it quits there and decided to move on. But then he noticed the body was moving. It started shaking violently until it shattered a large ball of blue fire emerging from its position. The cause of that fire was not happy to say the least.
"You wanna try that again!" Eren yelled in fury.
"Actually, yeah. Yeah I do." Silver said calmly. He swiped his arm again, but Eren was prepared and jumped out of the way this time. He slashed the air with his swords and two fire constructs formed from it.
Silver promptly sidestepped it and simply shot a beam of cold air at Eren. It hit its target and he fell down to the snow with a yelp. The soldier looked over to the wound.
"Purple ice?" Silver laughed at the comment.
"The unique signature of Demon Slayer Magic. If that demon of yours has taught you anything yet, it is that the elements take on different coloration than their normal appearance." Eren grunted, getting up from the snow. He remembered Kinvinaris teaching him this exact thing when the soldier asked why the Fire from the Demon Slayer Magic was colored blue.
Eren got up and breathed in a gasp of air.
"Fire Demon Rage!" The torrent of blue fire emerged from his mouth and was sent skyrocketing at Silver, who happened to be his target.
Silver just calmly smiled and used his magic to conjure up a barrier made of demonic ice. Although the beam managed to affect it, all it did was push the barrier just a bit without making a decent scratch.
Eren gasped at the fact that his signature attack did nothing to penetrate the shield. Silver chuckled darkly as his defensive spell went down, getting Eren to have a shiver down his spine, which was strangely appropriate given who he's fighting.
"Not a bad kid. Not bad at all. But you just got these powers." Silver looked down as he said that, then looked up to give him a cold stare.
"But you still have a lot to learn." Silver drew in his own gasp of air, and before Eren even knew it-
"Ice Demon Rage!" A large beam of purple energy containing snow, cold air, and of course, ice flew at the young Demon Slayer. As it came out of his enemy's mouth, Eren knew how outclassed he was. That beam was much more bigger than his was, and it felt more powerful too to match with the size.
With no hope of blocking that attack, Eren used his flames to launch himself in the air, narrowly missing the spell. As he looked to see where the beam was hitting, an icy explosion followed soon after and the soldier could feel the pressure immensely, even from where he was located.
Silver rushed forward, his hands encrusted in ice and a cold aura. Eren was caught off guard by the man's speed. Silver got right in his face and grinned wickedly.
"Ice Demon Oxygen Fist!" Silver clocked Eren, sending the younger combatant flying back. Silver then started to lay a smackdown, unleashing a flurry of punches that the soldier just couldn't keep up with. With one last blow, Silver right-hooked him and sent Eren to the ground.
Silver looked down at the beaten teen, seeing all the bruises that plagued his body. Silver sighed.
"If you're done now, I would like to get a move on." Before Silver could move, he felt a small heat near his feet.
"What the-" Silver didn't get to finish that sentence, because before he knew it, Eren used his lit up leg to side kick the Demon Slayer's own leg, then used both feet to kick him in the chest as the titan shifter jumped up and was back on his feet. Silver grunted and laughed as he held his chest.
"Nice moves kid. But that won't be enough." Silver stated, composing himself and standing back up. Silver prepared another breath attack, with Eren following suit.
"Fire Demon…."
"Ice Demon…."
"RAGE!"
Eren and Silver shot their beams attacks at each other and they collided. They started pushing back and forth, the other trying to overpower the opposing force. Eren was quickly losing due to Silver's raw power, so he shifted his neck and canceled the beams by throwing the collision to the left, causing a big explosion in the process.
'Damnit! I can't get a one up on him!' Eren shouted internally. He looked up to see Silver jump in the air and begin swiping his arms in many directions, creating long slashes of purple ice.
"Ice Demon Agony!" Eren saw the ice blades coming towards him and he promptly dodged the attack before it could make contact. Silver didn't stop there. He put his hand out and began casting another spell.
"Ice Demon Laughter!"
Large chunks of demonic ice came raining down on Eren. He drew his swords and with his magic, swiftly cut the sharp pieces before they could stab him. When that was done, Eren rushed towards Silver, not having a choice since there was no good place to use his ODM gear.
Eren tried to swing at Silver with his sword, but the man caught it effortlessly. His ice covered the blade and it shattered like glass. Silver put his hand on Eren's cheek and activated his magic, sending Eren flying back while leaving a nasty frostbite-like bruise on him.
Eren didn't falter. He sheathed his swords and lit his hands on fire.
"Fire Demon Oxygen Fist!"
He sprinted and began relentlessly swinging at Silver with every strike he could. Silver however, dodged them with gracefulness. Eren was pissed.
"Fire Demon Tear!"
He tried to do a downward kick on top of the Ice Demon Slayer's head, but the exorcist mage simply caught his heel. Eren stiffened and immediately got out of his grip. He landed on his feet and with some help from the gas system in his gear, lunged forward with more speed than before to clock Silver in the face.
But that didn't happen. Silver caught the young man's fist and unlike last time, Eren couldn't get himself free. His fist was starting to be covered in ice, blocking and putting out the flames. He gasped when he saw Silver begin to punch him. Eren caught his fist, but it was much harder. They stood at a standstill, their arms shaking as they tried to move them from the other's grasps. Eren grunted, both angry and nervous about what would happen next. Silver was perfectly tranquil on the other hand, just smirking at the younger Demon Slayer.
Without warning, Silver launched another breath attack at close-range. Eren panicked and tried to counter it with his own breath attack, but the close proximity cause the forces to collide and knock Eren back, Silver putting more force in his spell than Eren's.
Eren got up. His whole body was in pain and the parts where Silver attacked him with his magic directly were starting to take its toll on his body, making the sections covered in ice numb and unfeeling. Due to being from demons, the ice's freezing effects were more potent and therefore, more deadly.
The brunette got up tiredly, looking at his opponent as he breathed heavily, not taking any sort of damage since their battle unlike him. Eren grit his teeth. He wanted to used his Titan powers, but he remembered what Kinvinaris taught him. He punched his hand and held them out.
"Fire Demon Demented Spread!" Blue fire erupted from his palms and Silver watched as the flames slowly surrounded the area, melting the snow along with it. He watched as the flames got closer and closer, intending to take out anything that's in their path.
"Hmph" Silver swiped his arm and like before, the blue flames were frozen solid.
"Sorry kid, but I've been doing this for a longer time than you have. Your attacks are predictable and your fire is nowhere strong enough to melt my ice. I know all your tricks." Silver grunted. The soldier stared at him.
"Well, I guess I'm going to have to try something else, won't I?" Eren shot back rhetorically.
Silver raised an eyebrow, wondering what he could mean by that. That doesn't matter, he's not going to let him do anything.
"Freeze!: Silver shouted, swiping his arm again. Eren wasn't going to fall for that. He heated up his body with his magic to extreme degrees and jumped up high enough so that he would miss the magic. The ice did get a little bit of him, but that's what the flames were before.
Eren shrouded his anti-titan swords in demonic fire. He shot a cable at the man, making sure that it was also covered in flames. The hook pierced through Silver's chest and he felt the agonizing burn.
"That gear, I wasn't noticing it too much before. What is this?" Silver asked himself.
Eren reeled him in and with a one slash of his swords, Eren cut through him, leaving deep cut and burn wounds on his foe.
"AAHHH!" Silver screamed, the cuts combined with the burns turned up his pain receptors to 80%. He held on to his wound so that the blood wouldn't escape and he could steady himself. Using his magic, he covered the wounds in ice.
"Damn kid. You'll pay for that!" Silver turned around, anger clear in his eyes, but he ended up seeing a foot coming straight at his face.
"Fire Demon Tear!"
Eren turned around and immediately sprinted as soon as he slashed Silver. He jumped up on socked Silver with a flaming kick, finally having him be the one flying.
Silver immediately jumped back up on his feet and skidded until he stopped. Eren lunged at him and started swinging, using everything he could to stay faster and sliced him, but Silver was simply too experienced and powerful for him to get an advantage on him.
Silver dodged the swings, although he could tell that Eren was using more force and as a result, needed to react quicker to evade it. He went for an icy punch, but Eren ducked under it and returned the favor with a flaming uppercut.
While he was in the air, Eren grabbed Silver by his arms and threw him over his head in a grapple-like move.
"Fire Demon Twisted Grasp!"
The flames instantly circled around him and Silver screamed in pain as he landed in the snow, the fire still burning him and by extension, the snow around him.
Eren watched as Silver got up almost immediately, brushing off the snow on his armor. He grunted then gave a slight chuckle.
"I have to say kid, you're not bad. It's been a while since anyone has given me a tough challenge let alone from another Demon Slayer." Eren didn't say anything. He was on guard, ready to strike when need be.
"But playtime is over." Silver glared. Eren stiffened a little under his gaze. That was when he felt an immense pressure coming from his foe.
Silver charged off his magic, giving off a lot of Magic Power that could be felt by everyone in the immediate facility. Eren was intimidated by the aura, but he grunted angrily and pushed onward.
"Whatever this guy is going to do, I can't let him complete it." Eren ran as fast as he could towards Silver, but the longevity of the fight and the beating he took was taking its toll on him, and it was too late.
"Demon Slayer Secret Art: Crystallization Encapsulation!"
Silver slammed his palm into the snow and from it, a field of ice began spreading around. Eren didn't have the chance to jump out of the way, as the ice was spreading faster than it seemed. Eren soon found his feet quite literally glued to the snow as the ice covered not only his body but formed around it. That's not all.
The ice seemed to form a cage like structure that was just big enough to have Eren fit in it. Eren couldn't free himself, and he could even activate his magic. To rub salt in the wound, the ice started creating icicles inside the structure that punctured Eren, making him scream out in pain.
"A prison made from the ice in hell." Silver stated. "Not only will you won't be able to escape, but the spell drains your magic, increasing in speed should you use a lot of Magic Power in it, which I did." He grinned. Eren's eyes widened.
'That's why my flames didn't produced! My titan powers shouldn't be affected by it though.' Eren bit his tongue, catching Silver off guard.
"What's the matter, the ice cat got your tongue?" Silver joked. Eren was in shock.
'I don't get it, why am I not turning into a Titan?' He chomped on his tongue again, but still no result. The blood inside started pouring from out his lips.
"Well I don't know what you're trying to do, but it's not gonna matter. You're trapped in a cage and you will never escape." Silver began to walk away.
"It's a shame too, kid. I wished I could've mentored you, but you decided to side with those foul demons instead. Hopefully ain't too hard on yah because of that." He coldly stated (No pun intended).
Eren just stared at him aghast. He was going to die here, just like that. From a person that has the same powers as him, and the creature that decided to take him and show him what this world has to offer.
'I can't, I can't let him get to Kinvinaris, I have to stop him here!' Eren thought. But he was in a vulnerable position and soon he was gonna be a lifeless carcass if he didn't find a way to escape quickly. He struggled, trying to free himself through brute force as best as he could, but as you would expect, it didn't budge.
He panted heavily, both from the force of trying to escape and the deadly spell sucking the life out of him like a vampire.
Eren's eyes became droopy and he moaned as he started to drift into unconsciousness. He looked at the ice and took in its appearance. For all its deadly powers and origins, it was actually quite beautiful to look at, the purple coloring giving it a stunning look. The soldier could only gaze at it as he was reaching his last breath.
'If only, if only I was an Ice Demon Slayer too. I could've eaten this and been free.' Eren paused.
'Free.'
He recalled the words Silver said not too long ago.
"You're trapped in a cage and you will never escape." The soldier's eyes widened.
All his life he wanted to escape the wall, he wanted to be free from the confinement that he was forced to call his home. All because of the Titans, Humanity's natural predator. They surrounded the walls like insects and if anyone dared to leave without the proper equipment or backup, they would be a goner.
Eren couldn't accept that. He couldn't be content with just living in the walls for the rest of his life. That's why he joined the military, that's why he wanted to be a scout since he was 9.
That's why he wanted to fight the titans, after what they've done. After what happened to his mother.
Eren looked at the ice again. He thought back to his previous thought.
'If I can eat fire to replenish my strength, can I do the same with ice, even though it's not my element?' The soldier was thinking about it. It could be dangerous, but if he didn't do something, he would be dead anyway. He remembered the things he said to his rival and fellow cadet Jean.
Even if you move back into the walls, the Titan will still come to get you, and if they do. There's nowhere to run.
Eren bit into the ice and began chewing it. It felt weird, but he kept on going.
Silver wasn't that far from Eren when he heard the sound of crunching and smacking. He turned around and was shocked to his core.
Eren was eating his ice.
After eating a good amount, the rest of the ice dissolved and turned into magic power, allowing Eren a better way to consume it. Soon, the cage disappeared and Eren slouched down, gasping at the large meal he ate.
The soldier looked up at his foe and from his body: Blue Fire appeared on his right side, and Purple Ice appeared on his left.
Silver gasped in horror at the sight.
"How was he able to do that? You can't eat any element that's not yours!"
Eren glared at his opponent as he spoke
"Ice-Flare Demon Mode."
Silver stiffen, ready to prepare himself for battle once more. Eren narrowed his eyes as he screamed and slammed his hands on the ground.
"Ice-Flare Demon Demented Spread!" Like before, blue fire appeared, but this time was accompanied by the newly acquired power from the Ice Demon Slayer Magic. Silver couldn't react in time. He was thrown in the air at the combined might of two polar opposite elements.
"Fire and Ice don't usually collide well together." Silver saw Eren up in the air, using his magic to launch himself.
"Until now." Eren lifted his right leg, covered in ice, and slammed it down onto Silver's head, smashing him into the snowy region.
Eren flew down and with his fists covered in fire and ice each, he smashed into Silver, leaving behind a small explosion.
The two entered close-combat. Silver still had the upper hand, but now Eren was catching up thanks to his newfound power. He burned and froze him with the beating the soldier was giving the Demon Slayer. Silver didn't let up though, he retaliated with just as strong if not stronger punches.
Eren ducked to side sweep him, but Silver jumped up and kicked Eren in turn, making him roll around in the snow.
"Even if you do have my powers, it won't mean much kid. I'm still more experienced than you, stronger and faster. You can't beat me!"
"We'll see about that." Eren rebutted. He went in to try and grapple him, but Silver saw it coming and prepared for it.
"Tricks don't usually work twice boy!" Silver scolded.
"I wasn't." Eren grabbed Silver, locking his arms around his body and kicked his legs off the ground, tackling him. He used his magic to add on the damage and threw Silver away, leaving him burned and frozen.
Silver got up, not starting to feel real pain since the start of their fight besides the swords. He looked over at the ice on his body. Eren ran up to him faster than he anticipated.
"Like I'm gonna let you eat that!" Eren covered his fists in both fire and ice, attacking Silver relentlessly, making sure that this time, the older Demon Slayer wouldn't get the chance to attack back.
Silver couldn't believe it. How was this kid still kicking? He never felt a beatdown like this before, except for one incident he remembered and couldn't forget even if he wanted to. The reason why he hated demons so much and became a Demon Slayer.
With one strike, Eren pushed Silver back, but he still managed to stay on his feet. He was bruised and wounded, but his durability made him keep himself up. He lifted his head to find Eren's glaring dagger that would pierce his skull if they were real.
"I won't let you hurt him. I won't let you hurt Kinvinaris!" Eren shouted. He drew in his one last breath, ready to end this fight.
"Ice-Flare Demon Rage!" From his mouth a powerful beam of hot fire and cold ice appeared, burning energy and freezing energy coming in at full force. Silver could only raise his arms as the breath attack launched him. The beam burned him and froze him to his core, which funnily enough added on to the burning. Silver was catapulted and sent crashing into the ground, the snow flying up in the air. Eren raised his arms as the snow flew past him, some of it covering him.
Eren saw Silver, laying there beaten and knocked out. Eren would leave him there, but he wasn't sure if he actually was dead. He couldn't risk Silver roaming around if Kinvinaris was nearby. He then realized something.
"Damnit. I shouted his name. He knows his name and what type of Demon he is." With that said, Eren knew what he needed to do.
He gathered one final breath.
"Fire Demon Rage." He shot the breath at close range, his new ice powers fading after that last spell. An explosion was made and the dust cloud appeared. After it settled, he looked at the location the impact was made and saw nothing there.
"At least he went out quickly." Eren murmured. He got himself together and looked at the village he intended to go to.
"I hope you have what I'm looking for." The soldier started walking, enjoying the peaceful stroll despite the weather, which now seemed calm compared to what he had been through.
A middle-aged man was slowly walking through the snow, clutching his body as it ached. He needed to get back to his guild to lick his wounds properly. He used his magic to try and heal in the meantime.
"And here I thought it would be a peaceful day." He chuckled. Of all things he expected to encounter, another Demon Slayer wasn't one of them, let alone one taught by an actual demon.
"When I see that kid, there will be hell to pay." He promised.
"But for now, I have to get the guild. I should keep this to myself for the time being. If I tell the others, they might do something rash and our plans will be revealed too early." He said to himself.
"Once I'm healed up, I can go back to demon slaying. And that includes that demon that taught the kid his magic. Kinvinaris was it? At least I know the general location he's at. But I can't fight him in this condition." Silver took a step carefully, not wanting to risk injuring himself further.
Once he was at a certain point, he saw his guild's hideout.
"Here I am, the only thing I can call my home for now." Silver whispered.
"Tartaros."

Authors Note:
I hope you enjoyed this chapter. It was really cool expanding more on Demon Slayer Magic and having Eren go toe-to-toe with Silver. Speaking of which.
The story says that Keyes gathered Silver's body along with many others, but it never really says "when" Silver's body was resurrected, so I'm using that to my advantage to allow him to show up much sooner to battle with Eren. It was also a pretty fun fight to write, since Eren is fighting against someone with similar powers, but with much more experience. Think Danny Phantom vs Vlad Plasmius, a show that I just started getting into.
Also, I'm just gonna nip this in the bud in case anyone asks: No, Eren will not be getting any more types of magic. I was already debating on giving a Dual-Element Mode because I don't want Magic to overshadow the Power of the Titans, because they are gonna serve a vital purpose in the story and will be expanded upon. I went along with it because Dual Fire-Ice Hybrid Magic was too cool to pass up and the powers of demonic blue fire and purple ice was just something I couldn't leave alone. I chose "Ice-Flare Demon Mode" to match the naming of "Lightning-Flame Dragon Mode" that Natsu will get later.
Something else I wanted to point out. I've seen other fanfic portray Fire Demon Slayer Magic in one of two ways: Blue or Red. Stories like "The All-Slayer's Devouring Flames" by "nobodi in particular" (formerly Aniimeziing), and one other fanfic I can't remember the name of, but it involved Natsu and Happy failing missions, going out to train, returning and becoming stronger, training with a magic wristbands that are heavy to wear, an OC wielding Fire-Make Magic that becomes Natsu's love interest, and another OC wielding Fire Demon Slayer Magic have it blue. Others like "The Fire Brothers" by Williamgbirkin and other fanfic I can't remember is that Natsu was taught by a hot Fire Demon chick that made even him notice at a young age how gorgeous she was and warned Natsu that she wouldn't be going easy on him, to which he replies he doesn't expect to.
I choose blue to represent Fire Demon Slayer Magic for three reasons. One, is that demonic fire or evil fire is commonly depicted as blue in other kinds of media. Two, Fire Dragon King Mode was already shown to be red in color in the anime, so it would be kinda redundant. And Third, it just fits better with the coloring theme of the Slayer magics. Dragon Slayer Magic embraces the original colors of the element, God Slayer Magic has a black version of the element (with traces of purple, or even the element's original color like Orga's Lightning God Slayer Magic), and Demon Slayer Magic would be a alternate or inverted color version of the element, although admittedly the anime did get inconsistent on this. In the Tartaros arc, Ice Demon Slayer Magic was colored purple, but in the Alvarez Empire arc, it switched between purple and dark blue, which also adds that if Fire Demon Slayer Magic wasn't blue, it would most likely be dark orange instead of red.
Speaking of Demon Slayer Magic, I forgot to add the spells for Chapter 4. From now on, whenever a new spell, magic, titan ability, or something else is introduced, it all be at the end of the chapter before the author's note so you don't have to skim through the text to find it. Also, I'm going to go back and fix some chapters if they need any, which I will note as "patch updates".
Anyway, the attack from Grimoire Heart starts next chapter. I'm excited to show you the fights and the character interactions. Until then, see yah!
