Kenosha...

Kelso had just walked into his apartment, with Tupperware full of cookies that Kitty had made for his family, when the phone rang. "Hello." He answered. "Kelso, it's Hyde." "Hey man, I just got home, what's up?" replied Kelso. "I need to know what happened in Chicago with you and Jackie." Said Hyde. Kelso was instantly angry. After so much time? After everything he did? Now he asks? Now he cares? "Why is it so important now?" asked Kelso coldly. He could hear Hyde sigh on the other line. "I just need to know. Sam and I just broke up, we weren't ever really married, she was trying to get money from me. I need to know there was a reason I threw it all away and that I didn't just jump to conclusions again." Hyde confessed. Kelso was livid. "All you had to do was wait five minutes and I would have told you it was a joke. I saw you and I thought it'd be funny to take off my clothes but you couldn't wait for an explanation. You don't deserve her." Kelso slammed the phone down into its receiver.

He couldn't believe the conversation he just had with Hyde. First, he takes off without letting himself or Jackie explain that it was a joke. Then, he comes home with a stripper wife and can't stop being cruel to Jackie only to find out that the whole thing was a scam and he was never really married. He threw Jackie aside for nothing. Kelso rarely got angry, he was much too happy a person for that, but now he was pissed on behalf of his best friend. Jackie was the most forgiving person he knew. After everything he'd done to her, she still stood by him and even loved his daughter. This time he was going to do the right thing and stand by her. If Jackie chooses to forgive Hyde and Donna then he will too but until then he was done with them too. He spoke with Brooke about his conversation with Hyde and she supported his decision to back up Jackie and limit contact with them until he knew where Jackie stood. Brooke was proud of her boyfriend for coming to such an adult decision on his own. He was really growing up.

Point Place…

Hyde couldn't believe the conversation he just had with Kelso. It had been a joke. A bad joke; but a joke none the less. If he had just stayed and talked things out with both Jackie and Kelso, he'd be engaged to Jackie right now. He wouldn't be worried about what may happen to the relationship he and his dad were forming. He couldn't believe how badly he fucked up. He told Donna about his and Kelso's conversation. Donna hadn't realized that Hyde hadn't asked questions. She just assumed that he was right and Jackie and Kelso had done something wrong. She hadn't even asked them if it was true or not. What was wrong with her and Hyde? Hyde mentioned Kelso sounding cold and angry. Donna wondered why he'd be upset. They needed to speak with their friends and soon.
