Hey Guys! Crescent Rider here, and I'm back with another chapter.

But before you all begin, I have one question that I want to ask you all.

When it comes to summoned creatures of Yggdrasil. Do they drain the user's mana as they stay present in physical world or the only thing that's being expended is the way they are summoned? I'm curious that's all.

Other than that, enjoy the chapter!

Flashback

Sitting by the steps of an open back door, Hope stares at the tree swing for a prolonged period of time. Moreover, her head was leaning against the door frame.

Before long, Hope's Mother, Arachnida, comes along and sits next to her.

"Hi, Mom," Hope greeted,

"Hello, Sweetie," Arachnida greeted back,

A brief period of silence had occurred between them, but Arachnida breaks the silence as soon as she spots the tree swing in the distance.

"Do you want to play with the swing?" Arachnida inquired,

"No, thank you..." Hope responded,

"Why do you always stare at it? You do know that your father and I made it just for you to use," Arachnida said,

"I know, it's just that..." Hope pauses and then sighs as she keeps staring at the swing, "The first time I've tried... It... didn't feel natural..."

"So you want to know how it feels in the real world?" Arachnida inquired,

Hope slightly turns to her, then back at the swing, "It may seem like an impossible dream..."

She remains silent for a while...

...

...

...

Then stated the following words to her...

"But I want to know how it feels..." Hope admitted,

Their conversation soon ended right then and there and both stared at the swing for a longer period of time...

In the end, both would leave and their thoughts toward the swing still remain the same as always...

End of Flashback

Hope groggily wakes up, and finds herself in her own bedroom instead of the back door she sat down on.

With some control, she turns her head to the right and spots someone, in particular, sitting on a recliner in a patient manner and remains somewhat idle with his eyes invisible to her.

That someone was none other than the Guild Leader, Momonga himself.

"Mo... Momon... ga... san..." Hope weakly called out,

But the voice alone was enough for the Overlord to snap out of his current demeanor and turns towards groggy Hope on the bed.

"Is that... you...?" Hope weakly inquired,

"Yes, it's me," Momonga replied, and leans forward, "And it's good to know that you've recovered from your coma,"

"Co...ma...?" Hope muttered, "H-How... long...?"

"A few days... But I initially thought that you'd recover in a few months considering what happened to you in the throne room," Momonga said, "I feel somehow glad that that wasn't the case,"

"I'm... s-sorry... for worrying... you..." Hope weakly apologized,

"Don't be, what happened was out of the ordinary," Momonga assured, "Hence, you don't have to apologize for anything,"

"I... see..." Hope understood, and turns towards the ceiling, "Where... are... we...?"

"We're on the 8th Floor of Nazarick," Momonga responded, "As for the rest of the details... It seems we're in a different world outside of Yggdrasil..."

"We're not... In the game... Anymore...?" Hope questioned,

"I believe so," Momonga presumed, "After you sent me to the 9th Floor for recovery, I attempted to contact the GM for assistance. Sadly, I couldn't contact them,"

"Is there... anything... else...?" Hope asked,

"Yes," Momonga replied, then went on about the drastic changes in their situation,

First off, the NPCs ranging from Floor Guardians to Non-combatant NPCs have become sentient and retained their usual personalities based on the settings by their respective creators.

Second, Nazarick's surroundings have changed from the marshes of Helheim to the Grasslands of an unknown world. The only life in sight were the animals that wandered around the area.

He also told Hope that the area has been concealed through the use of Earth Magic and the mix of Illusion Magic and Traps to secure certain areas that couldn't be covered with magic alone...

And lastly, the inhabitants of this New World as well as its circumstances. The currency between this World and Yggdrasil was different but the latter would drag a lot of attention if used carelessly.

The conflicts of two separate countries, The Re-Estize Kingdom and the Baharuth Empire, as well as the third party, appeared to stir some conflict and confusion, The Slane Theocracy.

He also added that a group from the Slane Theocracy, The Sunlight Scripture, has possessed some degree of knowledge based on Yggdrasil such as spells and summoned angels. He also shared the tale about his encounter with a [Dominion Authority] Angel.

The very tale had Hope giggling since those types of angels were considered child's play for experienced players. Even Momonga, whose Racial Class is solely focused on the undead, can defeat such an enemy with the single but correct spell.

By the end of his tale, Momonga had mentioned about a man named, Gazef Stronoff, and his encounter with the Warrior Captain. And something about this man had reminded Hope of a certain someone...

"It seems... you've worked... hard, Momonga... san..." Hope commented,

"I did, but I've gain a lot of information in the end," Momomga remarked, "But enough about that, what you need is rest since you're still weak in your condition,"

"Okay... But..." Hope replied, "Are you... going to... stay beside me...?"

"After your sudden disappearance, I wouldn't leave this very chair just to keep an eye on you," Momonga jokingly remarked, and Hope giggled in response,

From that point on, Hope would steadily recover and Momonga's worries washed away...

Meanwhile...

Albedo seemed to have calmed down from her cheery demeanor and stared at the painting for a prolonged period of time.

With curiosity still fresh in her mind, she sought out information by grabbing the bell and rang it a few times.

In response to this, one of the manor's personnel arrived in the guest room and it appears was a large ball of mercury...

Albedo seemed confused at first and assumed that this was a type of slime. Then she was baffled as this ball of mercury took shape and standing before the Overseer was a Maid made of mercury.

The latter bows before the former, and straightens herself with the following question, "What do you wish of me, My Lady?"

Flattery aside, Albedo wanted answers, "That portrait by the wall, what is it meant for?"

The Mercury Maid turns to the painting in question, then back at Albedo, "That portrait is one of the many portraits that are found in the manor attic. Some of these portraits contain the pictures of Lord D3ath 3 Br1ng3r, Lady Arachnida, and Lady Hope,"

"Lady Hope?" Albedo parroted, "Who is she?"

"She is the First Child of the Manor, and she is also adored by the members of Ainz Ooal Gown," The Mercury Maid revealed, much to Albedo's surprise, "Records of certain interactions between her and Ainz Ooal Gown members are stored in the Manor's Archives as part of their function. If you wish to learn, I'd be willing to escort you there,"

Albedo seemed tempted at first, but she resisted since her lord comes first before anything else. Thus, she replied with the following words, "I'm afraid that I must decline,"

"I understand," The Mercury Maid responded, "Is there anything else?"

"Hmm..." Albedo wondered for a moment, then recalls a kitchen from Marshall's tour, "I would like to sample the cuisines of this place,"

"Understood," The Mercury Maid responded with a bow, then leaves the room to provide the cuisine for her,

Once Albedo was alone again, her thoughts wandered off towards the fact that Young Arachnoid, Hope, was a beloved child of all the Supreme Beings. As for the thoughts in mind, they were assumptions...

...

...

...

That boiled her very mind and blood...

"To think that she falls from such an attempt..." Albedo muttered in disdain, and her hand clenched so hard that veins were popping out from the back of her hand...

"I will exterminate the one responsible!" Albedo vowed, as her body radiated in a dark aura,

Unbeknownst to her...

...

...

...

The fire within the fireplace squirmed at the mere sight of Albedo's Menacing Aura...

Though she would calm down as soon as the cuisines of the manor arrived at her table. And she enjoyed the food as the variety and taste are not only limited to Japanese food...

Thus, she had praised the two Supreme Beings for their superior knowledge and savored the meal for the rest of the day...

The Following Days...

After spending some time in bed, Hope recovers most of her motor control. Although her movements weren't limited to just her hands and feet.

Apparently, the extra legs she has as an Arachnoid is somehow functional and natural to her. It is as if it's been apart of her daily life rather than some design of her avatar.

She soon used them to lift herself off of the bed and steadies herself since it was her first time. Upon succession, her feet weren't touching the ground as the two of her extra legs carried her entire body quite easily.

She felt joyful about the experience, but she cast it aside and focused on the main experiment at hand. She slowly lower herself onto the floor and felt a level of uncertainty as the very tips of the carpet were reaching the sole of her feet.

Once her bare feet touched the carpet, she felt a soft and fuzzy sensation and this was one of her newest experiences.

Something she had to loathed for so long...

She then takes her first step, and feels the carpet once more. Joy had risen in her mind, and a smile crawled up to her face. Then she turns to a certain direction, or rather, a certain person in the room.

For the one watching her was Momonga himself, who kept his word as he visited her whenever he had time to spare.

And if he could display any emotion with his avatar, he'd be smiling with some pride as Hope's desires were being fulfilled after days of recovery.

When Hope attempted to take the second step, she wobbled and Momonga almost acted in instinct. But the former steadied herself and even chuckled from her folly.

It felt strange for Momonga since he never felt this way for so long. Back when Yggdrasil was still in service, all he had ever done was watch over her whenever she was online and provided certain advice when it came to Yggdrasil-based scenarios.

Such as Job Classes, Spell Management, Aspects of Cash Items, etc.

As long as they were all related to Yggdrasil, he would do what he can to teach her the basics of the game mechanics. But those teachings landed him to the responsibility of being her God Father since he was more attentive to her whenever her parents weren't around.

At first, he didn't want to be a burden to his two dearest friends. But after some convincing and encouragement, he agreed to the role and hoped that he would do what he could to provide for Hope's needs in the game.

In time, he had grown somewhat accustomed to the role and soon learned that both she and himself have something in common. And it was something that he grew in him...

By the time Nazarick was transported to the New World. He felt more deeply concerned about what had happened to Hope after she fell than the circumstances that occured around him.

He also vowed to find the cause behind her fall, and everything else was second before her.

Momonga would soon snap out of his thoughts as soon as he heard Hope laughing. Although he doesn't find her on the floor, instead, he finds her standing on top of the ceiling as she made full use of her extra legs to keep herself from falling.

Momonga found this quite humorous but cast it aside as soon as he recall a certain topic that he needed to discuss with her.

"Hope," Momonga called out,

"Yes, Momonga-san?" Hope inquired, as she remains upside down on the ceiling,

"I was wondering, Have you met the Floor Guardians before?" Momonga questioned,

"Even though I saw the 9th and 10th together, I have yet to talk to them personally when you mentioned that they became sentient," Hope admitted, "Why do you ask?"

"I was wondering if you want to them?" Momonga inquired,

Hope thought about this idea for a moment, then she wondered what the other Floor Guardians are like. Especially when the details came from their respective creators.

With curiosity in mind, her answer becomes clear...

"Sure, I wouldn't mind," Hope responded, "In fact, I'm quite tempted to see these Guardians myself,"

Momonga nods and establishes a communication link with Albedo...

*Momonga: Albedo*

*Albedo: Yes, Ainz-sama?*

*Momonga: Contact the Floor Guardians, besides the 4th and the 8th. It's time I introduce you all to Hope*

*Albedo: Understood, I shall contact them immediately*

With that, Momonga watches Hope descend from the ceiling and land on her feet.

"[Create Item]" Momonga cast, and a wheelchair suddenly appears,

"A Wheelchair?" Hope remarked,

"It's just a precaution," Momonga assured, "You are taking your first steps after all,"

Hope smirked, then complied by sitting in the wheelchair. What came next was Momonga holding the handles, and casting one spell...

"[Gate]" Momonga cast and a void was opened before the two,

He then pushes Hope through the gate, and both disappeared from the floor. But in a brief moment, the room slowly repaired itself, and the cracks made slowly disappeared as if they weren't there anymore.

6th Floor

Once again, the Floor Guardians excluding the 4th and 8th have gathered. Only this time, Momonga has yet to arrive.

All of them were curious and the majority turned up to Albedo for answers. She responded that it was Ainz's orders and everyone seemed tensed upon this mention.

Although, Albedo and Demiurge had already assumed why this meeting is happening...

Then...

...

...

...

A Gate opens before them...

The Floor Guardians saw this and immediately bowed down as a representation of their fealty to their lord.

Once Ainz had walked through, he made one simple command, "Raise your heads,"

Everyone did what they were told, but they soon gasped to themselves as they were face to face with the young and healthy Arachnoid. What surprised the majority was that Ainz, himself, is behind the young Arachnoid and his aura has yet to show to before them.

An extended period of silence was brought upon these Floor Guardians.

But the one who spoke first...

...

...

...

Was the Young Arachnoid herself...

"Greetings, Everyone," Hope greeted, then made a closed eye smile to them, "My Name is Hope, and it's a pleasure to meet you all,"

Once again, the Floor Guardians were in utter silence before one word came out of their mouths, "... Huh?"

That is it for this chapter! If any of you have questions, let me know and I will answer them soon. And for those asking about the timeline.

I'll let you all know that the whole incident regarding the Swords of Darkness and the cult hasn't happened yet.

I just felt like extending it for the sake of originality to my content. But that reminds me, Hope will not accompany Ainz as he ventures out of Nazarick as Momon of Darkness.

Instead, I have something else in mind.

Now, I will be replying to one review for today's chapter.

Anoynim: Here's an answer to your question, Ainz wanted to find her personally. It's true that he could have used the surveillance system to search for her. But the relationship between them had him decide not to since he wanted to be there for her personally instead of looking through the cameras.

This answer may not seem much, but it's the only thing I could think off for now.

That is all for the review, stay safe from the virus, and I will see you all in the next chapter!
