Clark flies high up into the air. Cyborg Superman follows him. Got to get him out of the city, got to keep the people safe, Clark things to himself. Cyborg Superman rams into Clark. He's faster than Clark is in his current condition. The two float in the sky.

"You need to stop this." Clark says.

"No, I will not have you come into my city imposter." Cyborg Superman says.

Clark grits his teeth and flies forward. Cyborg Superman flies forward as well. The two collide into each other. The crowd in the city below gasp.

Superboy watches on as the two Supermen battle each other. The members of the Justice League have run over to help with rescue and evacuation from the building that Cyborg Superman set ablaze.

"Superboy! We could use your help." Wonder Woman calls out.

Superboy snaps out of the trance he was in while watching the battle. He runs over.

"We need to get this hydrant open." Wonder Woman says.

Superboy rips the top off of the hydrant. Water blasts into the air. Aquaman directs the water to the building. Behind Aquaman, another Atlantean appears. His name is Kaldur'ahm, better known on the surface world as Aqualad. The two Atlanteans work to put out the fire as Flash and Wonder Woman rush into the building to help civilians.

Cyborg Superman and Clark continue their fight in the air. The two grab each other's hands in a test of strength. Clark's hands bend back as Cyborg Superman begins to overpower him.

"Ahh!" Clark yells out.

Cyborg Superman releases his right arm and punches Clark square in the face. He continues holding on to Clark's left hand as he punches him again and again.

Lois watches on from the ground. Her heart sinks. This is the same fight she watched Clark endure last year. A fight he ultimately lost. She wasn't even certain if this black suit Superman was Clark. But something inside her told her it was.

Cyborg Superman continues his strikes on Clark. Finally, Clark is able to get his right arm up and block a shot. Clark pulls back with his left hand, freeing it from Cyborg Superman's grip. He then swings forward and hits Cyborg Superman in the face.

"Grr." Cyborg Superman growls.

Clark flies forward and hits Cyborg Superman with his fill body weight, rocking him back. Clark flies forward to try it again, but this time Cyborg Superman is ready. He grabs Clark and spins him around a few times. The he hurls him to the ground below. Clark smashes right through the Superman monument in Centennial Park. The very place he was laid to rest one year prior. Clark lays in the rubble, somewhat dazed. Cyborg Superman flies down to continue his assault. He grabs Clark by the collar and continues punching at his face.

"This is my city, my world. These are my people to protect." Cyborg Superman says.

"How do you protect them?" Clark asks, extending his arm out to the onlooking crowd.

Cyborg Superman looks out at the people watching nearby. The genuine terror on their faces.

"RAAAAWWWWRRRR!" Cyborg Superman yells.

"Go away, you need to go away!" Cyborg Superman says to Clark as he continues punching at his face.

Clark blocks a punch and rises to his feet. Cyborg superman swings again but Clark catches his arm. He swings with his left arm, but Clark catches that too. The two engage once more in a test of strength. This time however, Clark has the advantage. Clark squeezes and begins to crush Cyborg Superman's metallic hands. Clark reaches back with his right hand and punches Cyborg Superman in the face. The punch sends Cyborg Superman back, and rips his left arm from his body. The crowd cheers.

Clark approaches Cyborg Superman, who has dropped to his knees.

"You're doomed, all of you." Cyborg Superman says.

"Why's that?" Clark asks.

"You can't stop him." Cyborg Superman says.

"Who?" Clark asks.

A boom tube opens up and sucks Cyborg Superman in. Before Clark can react, it closes. The crowd murmurs, unsure of what they just saw. Clark looks on, the first person to push her way through the crowd is Lois.

"I swear to god if you're another cyborg or some damned clone-

Clark smiles.

"It's me Lois." Clark says.

"Clark." Lois mouths, she whispers so quietly it is barely audible. But he can hear her and he nods.

Lois runs to him and hugs him. As she puts her arms around him, she has no doubt he is the genuine article.

"I just don't know if they'll ever trust me again." Clark says as he looks out at the crowd.

"Mr. Superman." A little girl says as she approaches him.

Clark kneels down.

"Yes?" He responds.

"Are you going to wear the blue suit again? Cause I like that one better." The girl says.

Clark smiles and pats her on the head. The crowd begins to loosen up. The Justice League have now joined the crowd, after helping put out the fire and saving the people inside. Wonder Woman stands at the front. Followed by The Flash, Aquaman, and Aqualad. Steel had fled the area to take care of his injuries. Superboy was MIA as well.

Lex watches the GBS broadcast of the situation from his office.

"Well Superman, it would seem you can't be killed so easily." He says to himself.

Superboy enters his office.

"You failed again." Lex says.

"I'm sorry." Superboy says.

"Sorry won't cut it this time." Lex says.

"What do you mean?" Superboy asks.

"I mean with Superman around, there really isn't much need for a Superboy. Prepare for decommission." Lex says.

The boom tube opens up on Apokolips and Cyborg Superman tumbles out of it. In front of him are Kallibek, DeSaad, and Darkseid himself.

"You failed again Henshaw." Darkseid says.

"I couldn't stand up to the real Superman." Cyborg Superman says.

His body was destroyed, and he only had one arm.

"Your use is at an end to me." Darkseid says.

"NO!" Cyborg Superman shouts as he lunges forward at Darkseid.

Darkseid blasts his Omega Beams from his eyes. The send Cyborg Superman flying back, but don't disintegrate him. Darkseid grits his teeth while behind his back, DeSaad smirks at this revelation.

Cyborg Superman returns to his feet and charges forward again. This time Darkseid grabs him by the throat. He slams Cyborg Superman to the ground. Then he repeatedly punches at his head. His punches bash the cybernetic skull in until blood and brains begin to ooze out. Cyborg Superman and Hank Henshaw are no more.

"Clean up your mess DeSaad." Darkseid says.

"Right away master." DeSaad reponds.

Lois sits in her apartment looking at that day's edition of the Daily Planet. Superman Lives the cover reads, story by Lois Lane. There is a knock at her door. She opens it and sees Clark standing there, his hair now cut short and looking like the farm boy she knew and loved.

"Ready to go Lois?" He asks.

"With you, always." Lois responds.

The two head off for their date.
