Palutena had prepared the main hall of her temple to be where the wedding was held. The Centurions had set up chairs for everyone, as well as the main stage.
As everyone was getting ready, Palutena dropped by Pit's dressing room. "Lady Palutena!" he exclaimed, "What brings you here?"
"I just wanted to see you before the ceremony," she explained. Palutena held Pit's shoulder. "I'm so proud of you," she said, "You've grown up so much." Tears started filling in her eyes. She grabbed Pit and embraced him. "My sweet little angel!"
"It's okay, Lady Palutena. I'll still be here for you."
"I know." She let go of him. Tears were still pouring out of her eyes. "I should get to the stage. It's almost time."
When it was time for Pit, he walked out of his dressing room and went to the stage. On the one side was Rosalina's bridesmaids: Zelda, Samus, Daisy, and her Matron of Honor, Princess Peach. On the other side were Pit's groomsmen: Link, Roy, Dark Pit, and his Best Man, Marth. He got on stage and turned to face the audience. On Rosalina's side were a large amount of Rosalina's friends from the Mushroom Kingdom, such as Mario, Luigi, and dozens of Lumas. On Pit's side were Centurions, as well as some of his old friends, such as the Ice Climbers, R.O.B., and Mr. Game & Watch.
The organist started the Wedding March. Rosalina walked down the aisle. She was wearing a beautiful white dress, a veiled tiara atop her head with its veil covering her face. She held a bouquet of Ice Flowers in her gloved hands. Polari held her elbow as he walked her down the aisle. Pit felt tears in his eyes, a feeling he could tell he was not alone in feeling, given the sniffles other attendees were making.
Rosalina walked in front of Pit. She turned to face him and bent down. He lifted the veil up to see her face. She had on lavender eyeshadow and purple lipstick. She smiled at him, and he smiled back.
"Dearly beloved," Palutena said, her voice echoing through the hall, "we are gathered here to wed this man and this woman in the bonds of holy matrimony. It is on this day, at this time, that these two souls before us come now to be joined into this union. If anyone present can show just cause for why these two should not be wed, let them now speak or forever hold their peace." The hall remained silent. "Just as I figured." She looked down at the couple. "These two have prepared vows which they shall now share." Palutena went silent to allow them time to speak.
Rosalina looked down at Pit. "Pit, I've been traveling the cosmos for centuries. In that time, I have met many people from various planets and galaxies. But none of them have ever compared to you. Your loyalty, your compassion, your willingness to always do the right thing, and especially your eternal optimism. You have made my life much happier than I ever thought possible. And I promise that as your wife, I will spend each day making you as happy as you make me. I love you more than you could ever imagine."
Pit looked up at Rosalina. "Rosie, when I was a little angel, I never thought I would meet someone so wonderful as you. I spent most of my childhood having to fight monsters. Meeting you was one of the happiest moments of my life. You make me feel like I can be anything and do anything. And if I'm going to be doing either, I want to be with you when I do them. Because I love you and I want to be with you forever."
"With their vows now exchanged, it is time." Palutena turned to Pit. "Pit, do you take this woman to be your wife? Do you promise to love, honor, and cherish her for all eternity?"
"Yes, Lady Palutena" Pit said, "I do."
Palutena turned to Rosalina. "And Rosalina, do you take this man to be your husband? Do you promise to love, honor, and cherish him for all eternity?"
"Yes," Rosalina said, "I do."
"Then by the power vested in me as the patron goddess of light, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
Pit tilted his head up as Rosalina tilted her head down. The two locked lips, their first kiss as a married couple. The audience cheered for the newlyweds.
