'Piper, Jason is going to pass out when he sees you!' Hazel exclaimed, causing the other girls to laugh.

Piper shrugged from where she was sat in front of Annabeth, smile creeping onto her face. 'All in a days work darling!'

The room erupted in laughter once more and Piper grinned, leaning up to finish Annabeth's eye makeup.

Piper really did look amazing. The black dress she wore clung to her curves effortlessly and her makeup was minimal but highlighted the beautiful features she already had.

Everyone looked amazing actually. She scanned the room, eyes falling on Calypso, who was messing with the speaker, trying to put her favourite song on. She wore a sparkly green dress Annabeth knew that Leo would love. Hazel rested next to her on the bed, the silky red dress making her look like some roman goddess.

Her friends were gorgeous, really. She was so lucky to have them, and more importantly, so lucky that Piper got on with the others so well.

Honestly, it felt like this friendship was meant to happen.

'Annabeth, you're done! Go and put your dress on now.'

The blonde grinned and stood up quickly. She hurried into Hazel's closet where the dress hung and took it off the hanger. After struggling with the zip for a few minutes, she stood back and looked at herself in the mirror.

She looked good.

She looked really good.

Taking a deep breath, she pushed open the door and reentered the bedroom. The conversation dropped as the girls eyes landed on her.

'Oh'

'My'

'God!!' Piper finished, large grin covering her face. 'You look gorgeous!'

The girls rushed around her and fawned over her dress, causing Annabeth to laugh.

'You really think i look good? I hope its not too much.'

Calypso shook her head.

'Its perfect Annabeth.'

The girls had some time to kill before the boys showed up, so spent a good half an hour laughing and taking pictures with one another. Annabeth couldn't remember a time she felt this happy, and tried to ignore the small pang she felt when thinking about how she would have to leave at some point.

Enough of that. Tonight is supposed to be good, not sad. She can dwell on that another time.

She wont lie and say they didn't shriek with excitement as a car horn sounded outside.

Calypso ran to the window and peered out, eyes falling on the small party bus that Leo's dad had let them borrow for the occasion. The boys climbed out of the van one by one, Leo whistling up to the girls from below.

'Looking good girls! Now come on, I'm so ready for that buffet!'

The girls laughed and Hazel and Calypso eagerly raced down the stairs to greet their partners. Annabeth was about to follow, but sensed Piper's hesitance so hung back for a second. She placed a reassuring arm on her best friends shoulder.

'Whats wrong?'

Piper huffed slightly and tugged at her dress.

'What if Jason doesnt like me? What if i dont like him?'

Annabeth smiled softly and rolled her eyes.

'Piper, all that man had been talking about all week is how he gets to go to the dance with you! I highly doubt he wont like you, he already seems head over heels. And if you don't like him,' she paused, smiling at her friend softly. 'Who cares? Me and you are going to have a great night together, just like the old days, okay?'

Piper nodded with a small smile on her face.

'You're right. Thank you Annabeth. I don't know why i was freaking out so much. This will be fun.'

Annabeth wrapped her up in a tight hug.

'Don't apologise, thats what I'm here for. I love you.'

Piper grinned and hugged her back tighter.

'I love you too. Now cmon, lets blow these boys away!'

The girls laughed and made their way out the room, hearts racing with anticipation of what the night would hold.
