The next day was Yusuke's day off so that he could spend some time with the rest of his pack. And as usual, everyone began to gather at their usual meeting place in the morning so that no one was left out of the pack activities.

It was there, while everyone was gathered to eat breakfast together and catch up on things a bit, that Yusuke mentioned the pack less/Alpha less girl to the rest of his family and get their thoughts on what to do.

After all, she was in their territory.

So, in a weird way that kind of made her their responsibility. And everyone was painfully aware of that fact after what had happened the last time an Alpha less omega had been in their territory.

To their knowledge the police were still picking up pieces of that poor guy up after a local gang had gotten hold of him, had their fun and then killed him.

Needless to say, none of them were very happy about a possible repeat of that particular incident. Which was understandable given what had happened once Yusuke had found out about the poor omega's less than honorable treatment/death.

No one really bothered to mention what happened. But everyone in the pack knew Yusuke and the rest of the former Rekai Tantei enough to know that the Alpha's wouldn't let something like that occurring within their territory, slide one little bit.

The men had each disappeared and returned several days later with more blood than anyone had ever seen before, dripping from their bodies. So, the women of the pack knew that the killers of the omega had been dealt with in a particularly brutal fashion. One befitting the crime committed.

But one that also ensured that the bodies of the murderous other Alphas would likely never be found.

And in the unlikely event that the bodies ever were found...the certainly wouldn't be in one piece.

That was perhaps one of the most beneficial things about being in Yusuke's pack. No matter what may happen- fire and brimstone raining from the sky, Dark Tournaments suddenly happening- the men took care of business.

And the omega that Yusuke was telling them about was definitely something that they needed to take care of. Especially before another tragedy struck. But there was apparently a catch to taking care of this omega.

Apparently, she had some serious anger issues and wasn't afraid to beat the ever-loving hell out of people.

This of course, was naturally very interesting to everyone. Especially since omegas were typically very sweet and gentle natured, without a single mean bone in their delicate little bodies.

The fact that she had managed to scare even Yusuke since he'd seen what she could do to a person up close, was incredibly telling. So much so that Hiei and Kurama seemed to take even greater interest in the girl.

They both fired questions at Yusuke about her age, health, and a few other things that Yusuke tried to answer to the best of his ability as it occurred to him that something was brewing between his friends.

It was a well-known fact in the pack that Kurama and Hiei were courting each other. But everyone knew that without an omega to even out their dynamics as Alphas, they would never manage to mate. However, finding an omega that would be able to put up with the two of them was difficult at best.

Hiei wasn't a very affectionate person. In fact, the fire demon could be pretty damned vicious most of the time. Whereas Kurama was more subtle about his viciousness. And tended to be far more affectionate than Hiei.

Yusuke wasn't sure if the guy's affection had something to do with being a fox demon or the fact that he had been raised by a human woman. Either way, the man could easily reign in Hiei without even saying a single word to him.

A trick that he'd noticed from back when they were all kids.

Still...putting a sweet little omega alone in a room with the two could lead to tears, distress, and a disaster of epic proportions.

Sure, Yusuke didn't think that Kurama would do the omega any harm. But that didn't mean that Hiei wouldn't. One scathing word from the ornery demon would send a normal omega fleeing from him in abject horror.

Yusuke supposed that the two demons were aware of that fact and had decided to check out the omega and see if she would be a good fit for them as a third. Which was why he handed over the card that she'd given him the evening before and listened to the two as they made their plans to go and see for themselves if the omega was as mean and violent as their pack Alpha had said she was.

Yusuke wasn't sure how things would turn out.

But he was already praying that the idiots didn't get eaten alive.

In the end, Yusuke wound up going with Hiei and Kurama after kissing Keiko goodbye and telling her to burn his porn collection if he didn't return. She assured him- with Shizuru and Botan- that she would do as he said. He had no doubt that the girls were probably burning his collection a bit prematurely.

But whatever. He'd let it slide since they were probably having a ball doing it.

Before they had piled into the car and left the girls to wreak havoc, Kurama had pointed out that the card belonged to a garage that had recently opened in the area, and since they were going there- they were going to need a damn good reason to hang around.

So, Yusuke had grabbed his bicycle and before either Kurama or Hiei could say anything to stop him, broke the chain and did something to one of the tires to let the air out and flatten it a bit. After which, he looked at his friends with a sense of pride and accomplishment while Kurama had given him an amused look and shaken his head and then told him to put his bike in the trunk.

And while he was doing that, Hiei was doing something to Kurama's car so that it would need repairs too. After all, getting Yusuke's bike fixed wasn't going to give them very long to hang around and observe and interact with the omega.

Kurama hadn't appreciated the damage that had been done to his car that much but had let slide since they were going to a garage where he could probably get the damage fixed for a price.

It hadn't stopped the fox from being seriously annoyed with Hiei though.

The red headed demon must have really laid into the fire demon via their telepathic link, because Hiei's expression had been dark the whole ride to the place. While Kurama's own expression had shifted very quickly between devious viciousness and pleased with himself.

Either way, Hiei had eventually growled that the woman had better be worth it. Apparently not liking whatever Kurama had said to him in the least since his mood had plummeted considerably during the ride.

The garage, once they reached it, was strangely lacking in people and vehicles for a place that had just opened up. With the exception of an elderly Beta and what looked like a five-year-old little girl sitting over by the far wall, observing.

Their car was currently up on a couple of ramps, and there was a person underneath it, working on it.

Kurama pulled his car up to the garage but stopped shy of entering the building due to the legs sticking out from under the other car. He and the others were getting out of the car when they heard the little girl come skipping up to them.

All three Alphas froze up for a moment, not sure what the little girl was doing but were reluctant to send her scampering back to her elderly guardian since it could cause an incident of some kind.

Thankfully, she wasn't close to them for very long since the omega that they had come to see, seemed to sense something was amiss and quickly separated herself from the car that she was working on to call for the child.

"Hey, Princess!" She called out, causing the child to look away from them as the girl rolled herself out from under the car. "I need someone over here to hand me tools. Wanna come and be my pretty assistant?"

"But I don't know what tools you need." The child called back, looking away just long enough for the omega to get up off of the floor and walk over to her.

"So? You can hand me anything you want to. I'll find a use for it. I promise."

Yusuke's jaw dropped open a bit in not-so-subtle shock as he quickly realized that the omega was not only good with children but was obviously trying to diffuse the tenseness in them by teasing the child in a manner that would make them laugh.

It was a good tactic.

And it worked on both he and Kurama.

But Hiei wasn't much of a laugher unless he was destroying someone. Either way it made the little girl move away from them so that they wouldn't have to worry about possibly scaring her. Which not only helped the three of them breathe a bit easier but seemed to relax the elderly Beta a bit as well.

The moment that the child was far enough away from them, they then moved to find a nice place against the wall out of the way so that they could observe the omega as she worked/entertained the child.

The little girl had settled herself on the floor next to a toolbox and was asking the omega questions. Things like, "I can really hand you anything? Anything at all? And you will make it work?"

"That's right." The omega said as she started to get ready to slip back underneath the car.

"So, I could hand you a candy bar? And you can do something with it?"

"Sure can," Came the happy reply from beneath the vehicle. "Everyone needs a sugar rush to keep them peppy."

"I could hand you a shoe?"

"Yup!" Came the unrepentant reply. "Workplace violence is an absolute must around here. Especially when working on broken machinery. And shoes are excellent for beating things when you're frustrated."

Yusuke found himself leaning over a bit to whisper to Kurama, "I love how sure of that she sounds. Think she can make my TV work?"

Kurama bit back a smile and whispered back, "Hand her a shoe and we will see."
