Sorry this is a day late. Had a family event, and a migraine developed during the day, and afterwards it was the postdrome, and we had loadshedding (i.e. no internet), so this chapter slipped my mind a bit.
Disclaimer: I don't own Hetalia.
NedSey: Petunias
Lars was ringing up a customer's purchase when his phone chimed. After the customer left, he pulled out his cell phone to see a message from Michelle.
How do I keep pigeons away from my petunias without hurting them?
Michelle was a gentle soul, and didn't like to hurt living creatures. They lived on a second-storey apartment, and their 'garden' was limited to whatever could be planted in flower pots. Ironic for a florist. Lars thought about it for a moment before he typed a reply.
Strong scents. Get a spray bottle and fill it with vinegar and spray around the flowers.
Thanks!
Lars smiled and put his phone away. There was another customer that needed his attention.
A few hours later, he received another message from Michelle, along with a picture.
I don't think I can get rid of the pigeons.
Lars couldn't help but chuckle when he saw the picture of the nest with two eggs among the petunias. Yes, there was definitely no way for Michelle to get rid of the pigeons now.
You have to admit, it's pretty cute.
So, my sister sent a text, asking how to keep pigeons away from her petunias without a slingshot. And a few days later, she sent another text to say that she won't be able to get rid of them, with a photo of the nest with eggs.
And in South Africa, pigeons aren't that much of a pest, unless they manage to get in your house (and they're pretty stupid, so getting them out of the house is a problem). The bird that's considered to be a nuisance is the hadeda. They're considered to be Africa's noisiest birds. And you know when they land on your roof.
