"Say, you could just let me through," Frisk said with a smirk. "It would save you the
"Nyehehehe! Human! I like your courage, however, I shall let you know my prowess!"
Frisk did the first move and threw snow toward Papyrus, he had fought enough monsters to discover that they too needed their eyes were also necessary to use magic, he also painfully realized that monsters had created a new type of magic.
Normally mana itself couldn't do anything, it was paired up with instincts to make innate magic, or paired up with the emptiness in everyone's soul. But monsters found a way to make mana physical.
They dubbed it white magic.
Once Papyrus got the snow out of his skull, he threw a pattern of bones.
Poof!
One of the magic bones got caught by the frisk's jaw. As he chewed on it he could feel his mana Going into his body.
Frisk didn't want to get on the bad side of Sans, who was capable of sneaking up on him, so he didn't hit Papyrus. Instead annoyed him.
"Human- where did the human go?! You naughty pup! Give that back! Ugh, where did the human run to?"
[You won?]
Frisk rejoiced and went his way as a dog, he was happily unbothered for the rest of the trip toward home, he had curbed his greed and focused on getting out.
If I'm not wrong then there should be about 3 days before the tournament, and in that time I need to dye my hair.
The reason for his hair being white was not because of the curse, but because of the blessing. If he wanted to hide it, he would dye it.
[you're no fun… why don't you fight more monsters?]
"Bark!"
[oh right…]
Frisk was in a large corridor, in the distance he could see Sans in the distance. He did not want to press the [reset] button to do everything all over again.
"Hey, it seems your journey is about to end… you seem quite excited."
"Of course! I can't wait to go home!" seeing the innocence on Frisk's face made Sans falter a bit, however, he still spoke.
"Well, unless you have 2 souls… I doubt you could exit this barrier. The only way is to defeat the strongest monster, Asgore, and gain his soul.
… so that's why.
"You are quite the sneaky human, you even sneaked past the leader of the royal guard. But regardless of that, the outcome of this battle will become historic. I hope you make the right choice."
[so… are you going to kill him?]
"Duh," Frisk whispered. "Since it's the only way, I plan on making a sneak attack."
If he could kill him in one blow, he'd get out of the underground.
Once he went past Sans, Frisk saw a replica of Toriel's home. It seemed there was a knife, he could feel something different from this knife.
[it's a nice gardening knife… hey, could you… look for a locket?]
"Uhm, sure, why not…"
Frisk found a heart-shaped locket, he inspected it but found nothing special from it, still, Chara seemed happy to see it.
I don't care about that
Poof!
Frisk morphed back into a pup again, the King of all monsters seemed to be tending to some flowers.
"Bark!"
"Oh? Wait for a second please."
"Ah, it seems another pup wants to join the royal guard, well… I'll have to call Undyne-"
Shank!
"!"
[!]
Asgore threw Frisk, slamming him on a nearby wall.
[!]
[Asgore furiously steps in!]
Frisk could feel it, he had hit a vital spot for the monster, and he knew this thanks to his blessing. Oddly enough though, he wasn't bleeding.
Frisk charged up again and tried to attack, but the amount of damage was measly, it was as though he didn't attack at all.
Asgore fire magic easily surrounded Frisk. Thankfully, he saved beforehand.
Magic is not all-powerful, there is always a gap somewhere, it most likely was on… my blind spot!
Frisk repeated the same actions as before and saw a gap in the ring of fire, only to be enveloped by another one.
[-19]
I've always been weak to fire magic… so Toriel was holding back…
Frisk thought that his other blessings had gotten rid of his weakness, but this was not the case.
He ate the butterscotch pie, he had known that it healed since he the ruins because after he ate it he felt kindness magic surge within his stomach.
[you are fully healed!]
[asgore ATK and DEF fell!]
Because of the pie?! What an incredible pie… thanks Toriel!
Oh.
Frisk could tell they were related. However it was none of his business, he had hit Asgore in the chest with a wide slash, even though it was telegraphed, Asgore stood still. The place was his precious garden, he couldn't afford to ruin them, this was also why his fire attacks weren't killing frisk in a swift blow even though he was weak to fire.
Slash!
Asgore bent a knee.
Frisk took a deep breath and steeled himself for the final strike.
Just think of it as slaying a beast.
Slash!
Frisk had tried decapitating Asgore, but in the end, he slit his throat.
[you won…]
Frisk covered his hands and the around Asgore´s soul with mana, then took the soul into his chest.
What happened next was a transformation of Frisk's appearance, his hair turned blonde and his head grew horns.
Great now I have to get a cloak to hide these…
Frisk stepped out of the underground.
He rejoiced as he used his innate magic, he had copied Jack's innate magic: telekinesis!
Frisk took a while to get back to the gates of the kingdom, thankfully he didn't meet any beasts along the way.
… Chara didn´t come with me, oh well, perhaps she´s free now.
Frisk would be in trouble if he got found out at the gates, in the first place he wasn't allowed out of the kingdom because he was a minor, he would go back to the city via a tunnel that lead to the orphanage.
Frisk quickly went through it and finally found himself inside his room. He looked through his belongings and put on a white cloak, courtesy of the church of love.
I really can't go out like this…
Frisk checked and could see that his old inventory had disappeared, leaving with the garden knife, 2 candies, and a toy knife.
He started cutting his hair so that it couldn't be seen when the cloak was on. He then calmed down and refused any adoption attempts while waiting for the tournament to happen.
Usually, this couldn't happen, but as an apprentice mage, he had some niche privileges.
As Frisk couldn't risk going outside he instead focused on practicing magic again. Namely, the telekinesis that he had copied from Jack.
He started organizing his room with telekinesis only, which was harder than you would think, unlike other mages, Frisk did not have an orderly room. He then started practicing levitation but ended up hitting the ceiling.
Ouch… alright, next up is making this cloak bind with my head so I won't get discovered. But… why do I not feel tired?
Mages that consume their mana by using magic naturally would feel tired after running low on it. However, he did not feel tired at all.
Is it because of the soul I stole? And… if stealing souls is that easy, why does nobody do it?
Little did Frisk know that the reason he could seamlessly steal a soul was that he was blessed by an expert at the craft, as well as the fact that the soul was from a monster.
In the 3 days left, he did not slack off at all. Soon enough the regalia tournament would begin.

"Hahaha! our blessed is the best!" Emil laughed like a madman, and Amanda was smiling awkwardly since they were in front of another 2 gods.
Synil, the goddess of kindness!
Chronos, the god of patience!
"That's cheating!" x2 they both exclaimed childishly.
"What's cheating? You've rewinded time to get advantages before, compared to that, this is almost nothing! Kalos, you've revived your blessed multiple times!"
"That's within my authority!" Chronos said, he was trying to sound menacing but ended up sounding like a spoiled kid, this was due to his voice and stature. A kid with cyan hair was in PJs of matching color.
Honestly speaking Chronos felt humiliated, but in Emil's holy residence this was a "law" that had to be enforced.
"Ditto!" Synil didn't even try to sound dignified.
Hearing their responses Emil smirked. "It is within my authority to be benevolent towards my blessed! Especially since Amanda had used a curse on him!"
They could not refute him, cursing and divine retribution was fine as long as it was towards a nonbeliever, but to a blessed one? It was a very big deal.
Amanda hadn't spoken a word, contrary to her bubbly and spontaneous personality.
"So unless you all want a holy war…" his smirk turned into a creepy smile, as though that was what he wanted. " You will all turn a blind eye to this matter."
They all stood there thinking about the consequences, even if Emil loved fighting, he wouldn't start a war for just a blessed one, he would accumulate the offenses before he started a war. It seemed he was impatient this time around.
However, nobody was in a condition to wage war, they were all too weak from the last one. They decided to let it slide, after all this wouldn't affect them in another century.

The tournament was at the start of the summer solstice.
As it was a biannual competition, they had made a large arena that held
As long as you were a mage and were below 18, you could join for the chance to get a wish!
Of course, such a wish was within the authority of the kingdom, but the princess could accelerate this process this time around, ensuring that the wish would be completed.
Cheers could be heard left and right but they soon were hushed once the princess came to the center of the stadium, behind her were the many mages that were hoping to get a wish from her.
She was princess Audrey, her eyes were Emerald and her hair chestnut, her stature was 5'5 (165 cm) and her smile brought an indescribable feeling of brightness and hope.
"Today, we witness the young and aspiring mages of our Kalo Kingdom! We
Usually, unrecognized mages would need to take part in the preliminaries, but Frisk had renown as a genius and the youngest apprentice mage.
Princess Audrey started
"Without further ado… We will start the first battle of this tournament!"
"On one side! We have…"
"Frisk! The youngest apprentice mage! He who has the mysterious soul trait capable of copying magic!"
"On the other side! We have…"
"Jack Murasaki! The only mage who has ever tamed a beast! From a renowned family of magicians who can use telekinesis!"
I didn't expect to fight him in the first round… oh well, this is better for me.
In this tournament, there was only one rule, no killing! Only the referee could say if a party is unable to fight.
He would realize his revenge in the first round!
