Draco knocked on Harry's door after everyone had gone to bed that evening.

"What?" Harry called.

"The Prophet sent out a special edition. It just arrived," Draco said to the door. "I'm going to read it downstairs if you want to hear what Skeeter had to say.

"Bloody hell," Harry muttered. "I'll be down in a minute."

Draco had settled into one of the armchairs in front of the fireplace with a glass of firewhiskey. Another glass waited on the side table next to the second chair.

"Is it that bad?"

The blonde looked up from the paper. "I haven't read it yet, but the headline leaves me with little hope."

"It really is Skeeter?"

"Her byline and everything. What's the headline?"

Draco held up the paper for Harry to see.

One Happy Little Family?

"Really?" Harry rolled his eyes and took a swig from his glass, hissing.

"I'd say she's in top form, though the photo of you and the kids is quite good, might be worth cutting out and putting in a frame up there on the mantle."

"Read it to me," Harry requested.

"Okay."

Today the Wizengamot approved the adoption of ten war orphans by Mr. Harry James Potter, the "boy who saved us" now a grown man. The children it seems were found by the Auror department, including Mr. Potter, being held by Death Eaters in several different locations. The Death Eaters in question will soon be brought to trial for kidnapping and other charges related to their activities during the war.

"So far that's surprisingly accurate reporting for Skeeter."

"Don't get your hopes up that it will last," Draco commented.

"I won't."

The wizarding world is quite concerned about Mr. Potter raising ten children alone, as a single father. There has been quite a bit of speculation that one of the witches that accompanied him and the children today may become their mother. In attendance were Ginny Weasley, a former consort of Harry's, Adeline Terrence, and Elaine Sester. Hermione Granger was also there and known to formerly be involved with Mr. Potter.

Harry sighed and rolled his eyes. "I'm sure everyone is so concerned about who will be the mother. Addie and Elaine are going to cackle over this one. They've been living together for a while and that's well known. Hermione is going to want to strangle Rita for bringing up the rumor she started."

"And Ginny will be beyond mad at being diminished to being a consort."

"True."

"Like anyone would really want to take on ten kids and me."

Draco pointedly avoided looking at the other man and returned to reading.

Also in court, Draco Malfoy. It appears in a rather questionable decision by Mr. Potter and the Minister himself, Mr. Malfoy a convicted Death Eater has been allowed to complete his sentenced community service hours helping to care for the children. When confronted in the hallway of the Ministry by a concerned citizen, one of the children apparently declared that "Draco takes good care of us." There has been no word as to whether or not the children and Mr. Potter have been examined for signs of the Imperius curse.

"Merlin's balls! She would bring that up and it was addressed in court. She knows that even if she wasn't in court, and I'd bet she was. All she had to do was read the court records they're readily available. I insisted on it. This is straight-up lying. I'm calling my lawyer."

"Call Hermione instead," Draco suggested just as the Floo flared to like and the woman in question stuck her head through.

"I'm going to keep her in a jar for eternity!"

"Hermione, I love you," Harry said, "but your timing is downright scary."

"Much as we'd all love Skeeter in a jar. I think it could be dangerous to you legally, and to Weasley. Might I suggest you capture her and turn her over to the authorities for being an unregistered animagus. If she's in bug form she won't be able to deny it."

"That doesn't sound nearly as satisfying," Harry complained, "but it is probably the smarter move. I'm still calling my lawyer."

"And I'll go start planning how to catch her," Hermione said and ducked back out of the Floo.

"There's more?"

Draco nodded.

"Ugh, keep reading."

A reliable has told this reporter that Draco Malfoy is gay. Is Mr. Potter hiding a similar secret? Is that why he's allowed the disgraced Malfoy heir to live in his home? Perhaps there won't be a mother for those children after all. Could it be that Harry has been corrupted?

"I'm sorry, Draco."

The man shrugged, "It would have come out sooner or later. I'm honestly surprised it didn't happen before now. I'm more concerned about the Howlers you're going to get and what this will do to your reputation."

"I don't care. I probably should just come out."

"That's likely to make the speculation worse."

"At least any letters I get now will be from blokes. I'll still have to weed them out."

"There will still be a fair few from women trying to save you or change your mind."

"Ginny can tell them that won't work."

"Did she try? Sorry that was rude. Don't answer."

"No, and no. That wasn't rude, it was curiosity."

"That I should have kept to myself."

Harry shrugged. "Anyway, no she didn't really try but it was obvious our relationship wasn't working anymore. We broke it off before I realized why. I think she suspected before I did. Still we had a good relationship before and then… I still love her, but I just don't like women enough to make it work. We'd talked about trying again but… well it just didn't happen."

"I don't like them at all, sexually anyway."

"How much more of that drivel is there?"

"A bit."

"Let's finish it. I need sleep."

Mr. Potter and the children, along with Mr. Malfoy will be living in Mr. Potter's residence believed to be in London. Mr. Potter inherited the former Black home when his godfather Sirius Black, infamous Muggle killer, died.

"That's it."

"Fine, I'll contact my lawyer in the morning."

"What should I do with this?" Draco held up the paper.

"Burn it, that's all that rubbish is good for. I don't want it around where Freya or Conor might be able to read it."

The blonde nodded, and using his wand cut the picture from the paper then tossed the rest into the fireplace.

"You're remarkably calm about all of this," Harry noted. "How and why?"

"Daddy?" Fiona said from the doorway. "I got sick."

"Because they're all that matters," Draco said as Harry picked up the girl and headed up the stairs. Draco followed to check on the others.

A/N - that's all for now. I do have a few one-shots that go with this I'll post later and I still hope to get the advent story written that I've planned. Thanks to all the readers, followers, reviewers.
