Chapter 3
As one of the Six Generals, Karna was aware of his role as part of the last line of defense should intruders ever make their way past everything else. Because of this he was also aware that he had no choice, but to work with the other five. This included Mordred who had been chosen to go with their master to the city of E-Rantel. It was truly an honor that he'd desired, but alas the choice had been made. Thus leaving him here with the other four generals.
The undead Hassan, the divine spirit Siegfried, Fran also called Berserker of Black, and the hybrid Y'shtola Rhulwho was given the title Seeker of the Sun.
They were all as strong as guardians, but only by 92% with Mordred being 94% because she was made special. Each one of them were level 90, deadly on their own, and nearly invincible if they all worked together.
"Those intruders that entered the forest, what happened to them?" Siegfried asked much to everyone's surprise. "I heard that they planned on pillaging our home, but were caught."
"Interrogated heavily, then painlessly euthanized, and now their corpses are fertilizing the garden." Hassan said. "They were adventurers who made the choice to come here with the intent to pillage, and they suffered the consequences for it." – "Do you have a problem with that?"
"No I'm just curious since nothing else has happened lately, it's been a couple days now, and no humans have come to investigate the forest along with the giant castle that's just appeared out of nowhere." he said. "That's not strange to any of you?"
Now that they thought about it, it was pretty strange that nobody had come to investigate.
"We're near the mountains, far enough away for anyone to notice us so it makes that they wouldn't have even noticed us." Y'shtola explained. "Why waste valuable resources to come all the way out here unless you saw something strange, specifically something that actually demands investigation."
"I see." He let out a sigh. "Have any of you ever wondered why the other Celestials left us?" – "The last thing I heard my creator say was that there was no choice, and that the world was going to be—"
"Shut down…destroyed." Hassan said. "It's possible that they truly had no choice, but to do so." – "But, Kur—Naruto-sama stayed behind willingly."
"Was he really willing to die with us or is it possible he brought us here in order to save us?" Karna asked. "If that's the case then he must've risked his own life for us, it's no wonder he and Susanoo-sama (Sasuke) got along so well."
Fran nodded indicating that she agreed.
"Then we must do our absolute best to please him, and show him that we are worthy of this second chance that he has given us!" the undead exclaimed.
Outside the door a certain demon was listening in. As per Naruto's orders she now wore clothes that were more conservative. Pants, and an actual shirt though her orange jacket stayed.
"I can't have you going around like that, not only is it inappropriate because you look like a child, but also because you need actual clothes on." Naruto said. "It's fine for the succubus, and lilim because that's their nature."
Thus was why her current attire looked like this. Her master had gotten it from the armory. At least now she wasn't always cold.
'Why?' She clenched her fists. 'Why couldn't I have been created by the Celestials like them, why am I denied that pride?'
She was a bodyguard, and appointed the manager of the Floor Guardians along with other aspects. That was an honor she was immensely grateful for, but it didn't change the sad fact that she was effectively adopted.
Majorita proceeded to leave, she needed to sleep despite the fact that demons don't sleep.
5 Hours Later – Star Genesis Base – 15th Floor
Unlike the 16th floor which appeared to be outside, the 15th floor was a massive underground area made up of floating ruins that were covered in flora, grass, and some trees. Despite being underground there were beautiful streams of water, and a large lake below. It was all very nice to look at plus if you got extremely lucky you would be able to do so for about 10 seconds before the elven residents noticed you. Made up of elf beast riders and dark elf archers, these forces were nimble, fast, and annoyingly precise. Add the defense piercing magic weapons, earth magic, wind magic, and nimble bodies. Well no full party has ever made it out, either one or two invaders survived. After that Sylvie, and her forces killed them with ease.
All of that aside, this was a perfect place to have a picnic which the guardians, and Majorita were doing right now.
"Remember that working all the time can lead to exhaustion which can lead to mistakes which can lead to death, so remember to take a break, and eat…even if you don't need to eat."
"What do you think masters ultimate goal is?" Astolfo asked.
"World domination maybe?" Sylvie said. "Wait, no he doesn't seem like a conquer."
"The Celestials never really conquered anything, they were explorers that brought back stories of battles in dungeons, victories against Players, treasures from distant lands, and sights beyond our imagination." Majorita said.
"So, he wants to explore—wait no, he wants to spread the guilds name, and create a legend that will last for all time!" Scanty exclaimed.
"That idea sounds amazing sister!" Kneesocks exclaimed.
"A legend to last for all time." Astolfo repeated with a wide smile whilst hopping up. "Master will become a living legend, and we'll make sure his name goes down in history as the strongest being in this world!"
"Hell yeah!" Sylvie explained.
"How fun this will be!" Rusalka squealed.
This was their promise as loyal servants of the last Celestial. His goal would be achieved, and his will would be done.
The Next Day – Re-Estize Kingdom – E-Rantel – Adventurers Guild
Making a name for themselves was easier than they'd thought considering how they were now iron plates. Mordred was the show off that could decapitate anything with her magic sword, and tear things apart with her bare hands. Naruto or Kurama was a magic caster who could use powerful 6th tier magic with ease. It was only when it had been confirmed by other magic casters was it believed.
The duo could perform multiple requests a day without breaking a sweat.
"Considering you skills, we're going to have to ask that you limit yourselves to three requests a day." The guild master said.
"Eh, why?" Naruto asked in confusion.
"You aren't leaving any for the other adventurers." He said. "They've been complaining, and I agree with them."
"Oh, well that's a fair limitation." The blonde said not aware that he and Mordred had been hogging all the requests.
"I'd say we have a overall good amount of money." Naruto said as he finished counting everything in their wallet. "Shame we don't have any Rings of Sustenance, then we could save on food."
"I kinda like the food here." Mordred said.
The girl was no longer wearing her armor, but her casual clothes. Naruto simply didn't have his hood or mask on.
"But it's nothing compared to the food back home." She said. "Could really go for steak right about now."
They could afford things at food stalls, and food sold in the Adventurers Guild. That was about it really.
"I really want some ramen." He sighed. "But, we have to wait until we need to go home, then you can eat all the steak you want." – "And, I'll be able to sleep on a proper bed."
Putting the money away, he stashed it in his Item Box. Now they could rest after a hard, well not hard days work. Before they could get comfortable, the sound of yelling caught their attention. The two hopped up, and quickly ran out of their room only to see that the other adventurers were leaving the building.
"What's going on?" Mordred asked.
"Undead there's an undead hoard heading toward the city." The receptionist woman said. "The others are going out to either fight or…flee." – "What about you guys?"
"We're going to go destroy that hoard." Naruto said with a smirk that she couldn't see. "[Teleport]!"
Re-Estize Kingdom – E-Rantel
The hoard was big, bigger than anything any of them had seen. Naruto counted more than 900 undead nearing 1000 ranging from skeleton warriors to zombie hounds. More than enough to take down the outer wall. If they made it past that then the city was liable to fall.
The guards, and soldiers were prepared with their weapons, the few magic casters were prepared to fire long range spells. To them this looked like the end. Some even fled to save their own skin, understandable.
"That's a lot of undead." Mordred stated. "What do you think?"
"I think this is going to be very destructive." Naruto responded.
The others were flabbergasted by how calm to duo was. It was like this didn't even phase them. In truth they weren't scared by this, bot when they could destroy the hoard by themselves.
The duo proceeded to jump down. Upon landing Mordred immediately ran forward with her sword drawn, and blood red energy crackling around her like lightning.
"Let's have some fun!" she exclaimed.
Cutting through the undead resulted in the red energy tearing more apart. Any undead that attacked were repelled by her armors properties. She was untouchable as she inflicted violence with glee.
"So energetic." Naruto said. "Well I'd better pull my weight."
The blonde smirked, and then stretched out his right hand.
"[Solar Flare]."
From his hand came a massive burst of flames that swept across the battlefield. The heat burning away the grass, and turning the undead to ashes. This heat as hot as the surface of the sun could be felt by all on the wall, and some in the city. The spell ended, and revealed the large patch of scorched earth. Mordred had been unaffected the spell, and had continued to fight.
As the two continued their slaughter. A certain knight stared in awe. He'd never seen such power before in all his years. He who was called the strongest couldn't help, but accept that in the face of such overwhelming power. He was insignificant granted his pride was bruised just by watching.
"Should-should we help them?" one of the adventurers asked. "Pick off any stragglers?"
"If you can avoid getting caught in those attacks then be my guest." Gazeff said. "Who are these guys?"
"The magic caster is Kurama, and the armored one is Mordred who is actually a young woman." Another adventurer answered. "They're iron plates."
Gazeff looked at the woman as if she were crazy.
"I'm serious these two are iron plates, they were promoted a couple days ago." She said. "What's that?"
They looked to the sky, and immediately some fainted due to shock.
"Oh shit."
"Is that…no way!"
"We need to evacuate the outer—"
The creature let out and ear piercing roar that sent many running. Once it was close enough though who were brave and stupid enough to stay, could see it clearly. An undead monster made of countless human bones. It was three meters tall, and formed from bones with a rib cage devoid of organs nor flesh. Its head contains four hollow eye sockets, each with a crimson glow. The jaw of the skull is lined with sharp teeth along with a pair of bat-like wings attached to its shoulders and four limbs.
This was a Skeletal Dragon, and once it landed it tore through the wall with ease before it proceeded to rampage.
"Shit!" Naruto cursed. "Mordred, finish off the hoard!" –"[Teleport]!"
The blonde was now in front of the rampaging dragon. Bodies surrounded him while, they belonged to civilians, soldiers, and adventurers that he knew.
"Brita!"
"I'm here!"
Naruto ran over to the collapsed building that his human friend was under. Without any care he lifted the rubble up, freeing the red head.
"You're really—"
"[Chain of Constriction]!"
A golden chain erupted from the ground, and wrapped around the undead beast, pulling it to the ground. Without missing a beat he reached into his item box, and pulled out a potion.
"Is that blood?"
"No, it's healing potion, don't ask why it's red or where I got it; just drink the damn thing." He said giving it to her. "Trust me, please."
Brita was completely silent as she took the potion which prompted Naruto to stand up, and turn to the dragon. It was breaking through the chains, they weren't very strong to begin with, but they'd been enough to help people flee.
"Congratulations, you just became worthy of 8th tier magic."
The blinders dashed forward with immense speed.
"[Maximize Magic]!" He leapt into the air. "[Holy Armory]!"
A magic circle materialized under him as he aimed downward with both hands. From it rained a tempest of weapons made of holy magic. The dragon broke out of the chains, but it was to late. The spell was beyond devastating, to onlookers it was beautiful in a way. It was like heavens wrath was coming down to protect them.
Mordred finished the undead army minutes later, and needless to say had just gotten famous.
The Next Day – E-Rantel – Ro-Lente Castle
They were being honored by none other than Princess Renner Theiere Chardelon Ryle Vaiself herself. The princess was a young girl with long golden hair, silky smooth and supple as it drapes over the back of her neck. She has vibrant, dark blue eyes that shine like sapphires, filled with warmth. She wears a fashionable white dress, which further strengthens her image of purity. Around her neck hangs a golden necklace.
By all means a great honor for their actions yesterday, it was apparently very impressive. Then again it seemed like humans were pretty weak in this world, Naruto hoped there were some exceptions.
At the moment they were sitting in front of the girl. They'd been escorted to the tea room by the only maid that Mordred hadn't scared. As it turns out she had a problem with mere maids talking trash about her master, and herself. Thankfully nobody was dead, yet.
"On behalf of all of E-Rantel you have our gratitude, if not for your actions then there's a chance the capital would've been overrun by nightfall." Renner said. "I'm told that your skills were beyond exceptional in the battle." – "Skills that saved millions."
"We were only doing what was right, your majesty." Naruto said. 'Was that a random hoard or something more sinister?'
If it was sent their way by someone on purpose then there was going to be hell to pay. That person would suffer a fate worse than death. He would personally make sure of it.
"That horde was pretty weak." Mordred said. "What's gonna happen to the soldiers who ran away, cause I remember their faces." – "They deserve to be properly punished."
"I've decided to pardon them." Renner said.
"Hold on a second, their job is to protect the city to death, and they willingly ran away like cowards effectively leaving innocent civilians to die; pardoning them just let's them know that they can do it again." The green eyed blonde said. "That can't be forgiven, I know that I would sooner slit my own stomach open than give into that kind of fear."
Mordred was a proud General, and despite her lax disposition around her master she took her job serious. If it came to it, she would give her life for his without any hesitation or a second thought.
"Hm, perhaps you're right." Renner said. 'Such a hassle, but it'll keep me preoccupied for a while at least.'
Two days later the soldiers who had fled would disappear, and never be seen again.
1 Month Later – Star Genesis Base – Treasury – Nighttime
Star Genesis had 60 world items in total, all had been rather difficult to attain. They would have 62, but Naruto left his with Ainz Oool Gown by accident. Ahura Mazda, and World Savior. Both were incredibly powerful, and very dangerous if used in the NW. At the moment the blonde was holding a blue orb that fit perfectly in the palm of his hands, and shined like the sun on the inside. The Shard of the Heavens, it wasn't a world item, but an expansion for the base, and 540 more data levels for NPCs, and some kind of special prize to the guild leader from the devs. They never used it because they were happy with what they had, but now Naruto needed to think about the present.
"Alright 25 floors is about to become 30." Naruto said whilst using [Message] to communicate with the floor guardians, the six generals, and the other key NPCs who could keep everyone calm if things got shaky.
Activating the orb, he watched as it shattered, releasing massive amounts of energy that connected with himself as the guild leader, and the base itself. He could feel the base expanding, more floors, more dangers, and more life. All shaped by his memories and feelings. Then he saw it.

Naruto was completely silent as he took in what he had just heard, and what he was seeing. These were insane stats, more than enough to break the game and make him some kind of insane boss since the level cap was set to 100. Therefore stats were set unless certain items were used to increase them. This was something else altogether, the devs must've thought they were really clever, but they obviously didn't realize that said item would become real.
"Adjusting NW accordingly what does that mean?" Naruto wondered as he sent the screen away. "What the heck was that voice anyway?"
The blonde had done something that could never be undone. He had changed the rules that governed this world.

The world was adjusting itself for those like her, those who were beyond the realm of heroes, those who were the physical manifestation of godhood. This was their reward, power beyond power, and a world for them to use as they see fit.
"This is going to make it quite difficult to make a baby, there might not be anyone stronger than me." She hopped off of her bed, and left her room. "So many spells to test." – "[Teleport]."
A new age had just begun.
