A light tap on Billy's doorways all it took to alert Jacob of their visitors. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes and called down the hall to let Billy know that it was time to get up. Billy scoffed from the kitchen "I've been up for half an hour, it's about time you rolled out of bed.".

Jacob opened the front door. "Hey Bella, Hey Paul, you're here early. What's up?" He stepped to the side and ushered them in.

Bella shot a look at Paul and made her way to the kitchen.

Billy smiled as she entered. "Bella, it's good to see you. How's my little grandson growing?" He placed a hand on her belly and gave it a small pat.

"Billy.. It's good to see you too, but this is not actually a social call." she said softly as both Paul and Jake made their way into the room.

Billy straightened in his wheelchair.

"Well. Alright, what can I do for you?"

"Billy…Chief Black, I'm here to request a meeting of the Elders."

Billy's brow furrowed and Jake took a step forward. "Uh Bells, you can't actually meet with the Elders… as an outsider." He said, rubbing the back of his neck.

Bella glanced at Jake before looking back at Billy. "Chief Black, I know this is not traditionally how this works but it really is important."

"Bella, why don't you just take a seat and explain what's going on."

Paul pulled a chair out for Bella and helped her to sit.

"Okay…um, I'm not really sure where to start." Bella sighed. "So.. I had a dream last night."

Billy raised a brow and waited for her to continue.

She shot a quick glance at Jake and he swore he saw an apology in her eyes.

"In my dream…I spoke with Sarah, Billy."

Billy sat in silence. That was not what he had expected. "Well, Bella, I dream of her some nights too. I'm not sure what this has to do with the council."

"No.. Billy.. I SPOKE with Sarah last night. It wasn't a memory, or a dream. It was her."

"I hear during pregnancy dreams can often be very vivid." he said gently.

"No! No. Okay, um, she said to tell you that what you've been looking for is in a box in the closet marked "Important Things."

Billy's eyebrows shot to his hairline.

"Dad, what is she talking about?" Jake asked, confused.

Billy's eyes flew back and forth between Bella and Jake before he quickly turned in his wheelchair and made his way into his bedroom. Jake, Bella, and Paul all waited quietly in the kitchen. They could hear shuffling in Billy's room before it went completely silent.

Billy wheeled slowly into the kitchen, his eyes on his lap. He rolled silently to the table and stopped in front of Bella. He wordless held an old faded picture out to her. She took it gently. "It's our first photo together." Billy said, tears welling in his eyes.

"Bella…I've been looking for that photo for the last 5 years…."

Bella nodded. "Billy… she told me that she spoke to someone, a medicine woman."

Billy's eyes widened again and his mouth hung open. "She never told anyone that. No one."

"There's something coming Billy. Something none of us are prepared for, and for whatever reason Sarah believes that I can help. She said…she said that I'm like her Billy. That I have the sight."

The room was deadly silent and Jake sat heavily in the chair next to Bella. Paul came up behind her and placed his hands on her shoulders, squeezing gently in reassurance.

Finally Billy nodded and made his way to the phone. When he had left the room Jake cleared his throat.

"Was it…was it really her Bells?" he whispered.

"She wants you to know how incredibly proud of you she is Jake." Bella said as she grabbed his hand. "She misses you so much, she wants you to know that she loves you."

A sob burst from Jacob's mouth and his shoulders shook. Bella rubbed his back gently. She knew that this was only the start. They had a lot of work to do, and her gut screamed that time was running out.
