Chapter 10
Around 12:00, Ana got a text that Christian was outside. She climbed in and they drove 40 minutes to Mercer Island. Ana saw the assisted living sign. "He looks good. He doesn't look sick. He has stopped all treatment."
They walked in and signed in at the front desk. The lady smiled. "He knew you would be back with someone. I was told to let you both in." She handed them a badge. "You're much prettier than the pictures. He was right, the camera doesn't capture your beautiful eyes the same way." She pointed and they walked together.
Ana saw his room was full of pictures of her family. Her mom and her. She picked up the latest. It was her at her graduation. "I was there. I wouldn't miss it for the world." Ana froze hearing her dad's voice. She turned and saw him. His hair was a little thin and gray, but he looked the same. "I knew you couldn't keep a secret. Thank you Christian."
Ana thought about what her best friend said and even though she was mad, it all went away when she saw him again. "Oh daddy!" They had lunch and Ana even spoke to his doctors. The outlook was grim. "4-6 months. That's it?" That put a damper on the visit for sure.
Christian had an idea to cheer everyone up. "Ana said yes." Ray smiled. He always wanted Christian to take care of her. "How about you come to family dinner and help us celebrate?" It didn't take a lot to convince him. While he was getting ready, Christian had a question for Ana. "What if we got married next month? A nice summer wedding. He can walk you down the aisle. What do you think?" Ana kissed him.
Dinner was a hit and everyone loved seeing Ray. They were all shocked about his illness, but followed Ana's lead in not holding it against him. His time left was going to be surrounded by love. Of course everyone was over the moon about Ana and Christian's announcement.
Elliot and Kate cleared their throat and Christian looked at Ella. Then he remembered they had something going on. They were married and had been for years. They even had 3 year old Ava Grace Grey. Kate smiled, "I'm pregnant. So Ana, if I'm in this wedding, the sooner the better." Ana had already announced that she wanted Hannah, Kate, and Ella to stand by her side. "I'm also selling dad's company. Elliot and I don't like the distance and with the kids, it's a lot. I'd rather take it and join him to be closer and raise our family." Ray smiled with all of the excitement. Ana couldn't help but be sad, that he would miss her children.
One month flew by, but they were short on time dealing with Ray. He even had a hospital stay for fluids only to help with the long wedding day plans. Elena and Grace helped Ana get dressed. Her bridesmaids were getting the last touches of hair and makeup. "We promised your mother that we would always be here for you. Hopefully we haven't let her down." Ana wiped her tears, they were perfect and she was grateful for the love. She also knew she would need it once she had to say goodbye to her father.
She opened the door and saw Ray waiting for her, "Sweetheart, you look beautiful. He wanted to say more, but didn't want to make it about him. This was her and Christian's moment which they sped up for him.
They watched everyone walk down the aisle before them. Hannah gave her best friend a wink. Ana took a deep breath. She hadn't seen Christian in over a week per parents orders. They hadn't been away from each other since they started dating.
She looked down the aisle and saw Christian with his hands cuffed in front of him. He had a huge smile on his face. They walked slowly as the music played. "Who gives this woman to be with this man?"
Ray grabbed Elena and Eric to join him. He didn't forget they were the ones who raised her. They all stated in a strong voice, "We do!" He kissed his daughter and handed her over to Christian. He shook his hand and took his seat.
Ana and Christian stared into each other's eyes. They heard the minister and answered in response. They repeated their vows and said I do. "I present Mr. and Mrs. Grey!" Everyone clapped and extended their love. They wrapped up the day with pictures, dinner, and dancing.
Their family waved at them as they left in a limousine. Christian wanted to give her a honeymoon, but not too far since Ray was sick. They didn't travel far. Ana smiled, "The Grace! That's our honeymoon?" She saw the family yacht and smiled.
Christian shrugged, "It seemed fitting for us. My parents gave it to us as a wedding gift." Ana couldn't believe it.
They climbed on board and waved at the staff. "Mr. Grey, once you're settled downstairs, we'll take off." Ana heard them talking and tried to figure out where they were headed.
They went downstairs. "Mrs. Grey." Ana smiled, liking the sound of her new name. Ana asked him where they were going. He shook his head, not giving away any clues. "Let's get you dressed for bed."
Ana shook her head, knowing they both took showers and changed before leaving the reception. "I don't have bed clothes with me." He smirked thinking she wouldn't need bed clothes. He kissed her and slowly took off her clothes piece by piece.
Ana was already at a disadvantage so she decided to take charge. Just as Christian was about to remove her panties, she stopped him and ran her fingers down his bare chest to his button on his pants. "What are you doing?" Ana put her finger over her lips and told him to be quiet.
She undid his button and zipper and pulled everything down and off. "I like what your body does." His breathing picked up as she wrapped her lips around his length.
She started on the tip and pushed forward inch by inch until her lips were touching his front. "Fuck Ana! Where the hell did you learn that?" She wanted to laugh, but her mouth was really full. Christian's hand immediately went to her long brown hair.
She looked up with her big blue deep eyes and pulled away before he exploded. "Not yet Mr. Grey." She held his length. "One more chance. Where are we going?" He shook his head. "Ok. Have it your way."
Ana used her tongue to circle his tip and attacked his length again. She sucked and gagged until Christian exploded, shaking in her mouth. "Fuck! We're going to Banbridge Island." She licked her lips and laughed. Christian shook his head, "You're going to get it. He grabbed her over his shoulder and gave her ass a small slap before bouncing her off of the bed. "I love you Ana."
They spent the entire night making love.
Ana stretched and covered her eyes from the sun beaming in the window. She saw some clothes laying on the bed. She showered, changed, and went to look for her husband. "Good morning! Did you sleep well?"
Ana kissed him, "I wouldn't exactly call that sleeping, but yes." She looked around and saw they were at a dock. It was a long dock and she saw a waterfront property in the distance. "Who lives here?" Christian extended his hand helping her down.
They started walking and she asked again once they got to the end and saw a one-level home. "We do." Ana turned shocked, "Well, not live, more like a getaway."
Ana walked in and saw its beauty. "It's been completely updated." The house had stunning floor to ceiling windows and french doors with a few of the shore and waterfront. "Do you like the vaulted ceilings with exposed beams?" Ana nodded and noticed the oak floors, an updated kitchen with a cozy nook, plus a unique family room modeled after a ship's salon. "The property also has a spacious detached 3 room studio with a full bathroom. The swimming pool and patio are fenced in." Ana spun around. "I wanted to surprise you with something. I was nervous about picking it without you, but I figured if I did this, we could pick out our home together. What do you think?"
Ana ran her finger along the leather sofa in the family room. She shook her head and Christian thought he messed up. Ana ran into his arms and kissed his lips and smiled. "I think Mr. Grey, we should make love in every room and the pool."
Ana sat in his arms. "Ana, when do you want kids?" She had been on birth control since they started having sex. Elena was very open with her and didn't want early babies. Ana shrugged. They hadn't talked about it and she really didn't think Christian wanted kids at least right away.
They had an argument about kids years ago. Ana wanted at least 4. "We should try, 4 is a lot. We better get moving." Ana eyed him, "I thought you only wanted one, if that. When did you change your mind?"
Christian smiled. He knew Ray would probably never live to see one grandchild, but he wanted to give Ana everything she wanted. "When I fell in love with you. I hope they're all girls. 4 little Anas." They both laughed.
