Disclaimer: Don't worry; this isn't gonna be like that episode of The Loud House where Luan goes insane with pranking and only gets a pie to the face. This is gonna be more like Fools in April from Spongebob, or at least that's the kind of vibe I wanna go for. May work out, may have a different vibe, but as long as it's tasteful to the audience, I'm cool with it.

Friend or Foe arc Episode fourteen: Pranking Expert Zuma
Zuma was up early, a rare feat for sure, and he was lying next to a sleeping Rocky as he looked down at some safety pins he placed on their blanket. He loved how cute he was when he was sleeping, but he had to do something that sadly required waking him up. He whispered to the Mix in order to enact this plan. "Psst. Wocky."
Rocky woke up to the sound of Zuma's whisper and smiled at the sight of his cheeky face. "What's got you looking all mischievous today?"
"Oh, nothing." Zuma then snickered a bit as he put his plan into motion. "Just that it's almost twelve o clock."
"What!?" Rocky started to panic over how much he'd overslept, and it caused him to start rolling out of his bed. As he was doing this, the safety pins Zuma placed down sunk into Rocky's butt and made him wince. He then fell out of the bed, and was completely wrapped up in his blanket. Rocky then sighed as he remembered what today was. "April Fools Day."
"Yep!" Zuma hopped out of bed with a cheeky little grin as he helped roll Rocky out of the blanket. "Don't wowwy. I checked, and safety pins shouldn't cause too much blood."
"They thankfully won't do that at all for dogs with soft fur like me." Rocky added, and he started pulling the pins out of his butt as he sat up. Since he pulled all three of them out at once, he winced and rubbed his butt before commenting on the scenario. "I imagine this is only the start of your little crusade."
Zuma nodded his head yes and then revealed to Rocky that it was only eight in the morning. "And it's only going up fwom here!"
Rocky looked at the clock and laughed a bit when he realized how easily he fell for Zuma's prank. "And here I was thinking I was the smart one of the team."
"Even smawt people have their dumb moments." Zuma reminded Rocky, and then he kissed his cheek as he snickered a bit when thinking about his next prank. "I bet you can't guess what my next pwank is gonna be." Rocky tried to think about that and gave a sly grin as he thought about what exactly Zuma had in mind.
Zuma was guiding Chase towards the ocean on the beach, and Chase was wearing a blindfold, so he couldn't see exactly what was going on. Chase was also suspicious of what Zuma had planned for him, since he knew it was April Fools Day. "You'd better not be tricking me into doing anything illegal Zuma."
"Welax Chase dude; it'll be nothing like that." Zuma assured Chase, and then he guided him towards the ocean, and as they stepped in, Chase felt the water on his feet. "Too bad this pwank won't cause you to shake."
"Zuma, pretty much every dog shakes when they get covered in water." Chase reminded Zuma, who then turned Chase around, and Chase was seriously wondering what exactly Zuma was planning. "At least give me a hint Zuma. You're usually really straight forward on this day."
"Just sit down and you'll see." Chase did as Zuma requested, and Zuma tried to avoid snickering as he checked to see if there was anyone out in the ocean. Once he saw that no one would get hurt from this experience, he taunted Chase with a comment on his farting ability. "Tell me Chase. Do you think your butt would still look hot if you were to rip a bwass band while it was wet?"
"Tch. Strong yes. Just watch!" Zuma braced himself with joy about what was about to come as Chase scrunched and released...
PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT
...a loud and bassy one minute fart into the Adventure Bay beach ocean, making his butt vibrate violently with the ground shaking a little, and a big wave of greenish yellow water soaring over the ocean, as the rotten egg gas was unleashed and covered a good amount of the ocean it started out in. Chase then realized something as Zuma snickered a bit, "Wait a second!" and he took off his blindfold, looked around, and to his shock, he saw that he'd killed at least a hundred fish with his fart. He caused so much of the water to change color that he couldn't see any blue left.
Chase was usually proud about his farts, but he never thought about intentionally hurting the wildlife when it wasn't hurting him. As Zuma was laughing, Chase turned to him and angrily called him out on his prank. "You tricked me into contaminating the ocean and killing all those fish!?"
"Suwe did!" Zuma laughed, leaving Chase to growl at him, which led to Zuma rushing off while still laughing as Chase ran after him. "Don't fowget that you're the one who fawted in the ocean!"
That afternoon, Chase finished chasing Zuma and went to tell Ryder what happened, and Zuma was peeking into Chase's room, which Skye now slept with him in. She was sitting on his desk chair while talking to Amy on the phone about the LARP she and Sweetie put on for everyone. "I think Sweetie was way more passionate about it than I was though. You should've seen her fit when Chase couldn't play his first role." Zuma snickered a bit as he snuck on over with Skye responding to what Amy was telling her just as he got to her bed. "I can see that too. She even has the diva attitude."
"Hey Skye?" Skye looked to where Zuma was and his butt was shown when it was revealed that he was pointing it at her while standing on his hind legs and pointing it out. When Skye saw this when covering the phone, she flinched right before...
PHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHT
...Zuma cut a loud and bassy ten second fart directly at Skye, making his butt vibrate as he surrounded her with a green cloud of moldy cheese and pepperoni. Skye coughed and wafted the fart away, correcting something Amy asked her as she cleared the air well enough while Zuma was laughing. "No, that was Zuma. He gets pretty crazy on April Fools Day." Skye covered the phone as she angrily called Zuma out for his timing on that one. "Zuma, what the heck!? Can't you see I'm busy!?"
"Pwanking takes no bweaks!" Zuma declared, and then he shot three more farts right at Skye...
PFFFFFFFFFFT BRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUP BLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRP
...all of them reeking of rotten meat and cheese, before leaving the room and giving some advice to Skye. "Yeah, I'd wecommend taking a shower after you end that call."
Zuma continued to laugh as he left the room, leaving Skye to groan in annoyance as Skye set the phone down on Chase's desk and called out to Zuma. "The advice is mutual Zuma!" Skye sighed, and her butt was shown to be pointed at the phone, since she turned around and stood on the chair to call Zuma out. Not realizing this, Skye's butt was shown vibrating as she accidentally cracked...
BRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAT
...a ripe five second fart that reeked of burnt bacon, and it was revealed on the other end that the fart went through the phone and hit Amy. As Amy coughed and wafted the fart away, Skye was heard on the other end as she apologized for the butt burst. "Sorry Ames. That last one was me."
"Looks like Chase and Zuma rubbed off on ya." Amy joked, leaving her to laugh a bit at Skye's predicament.
The rest of the pups were in the living room as Skye went into the living room after her shower and saw Flare and Marshall watching a movie. She sat down next to Marshall while still being annoyed at the prank Zuma played on her. She felt it wouldn't hurt to ask the others about it. "Did Zuma get you guys already too?"
"No, he didn't get me yet." Flare informed Skye, and then he told her about what Zuma did to Marshall. "He did hit Marshall with a balloon full of expired milk though."
Marshall gagged at the memory of how bad he smelled after he got hit with that balloon. "I'm just relieved it was only expired by two days. Too long, and it would've been way too chunky for me to get out."
Skye couldn't help being disgusted by the thought of that prank. It made her feel less annoyed about her own. "Yikes. Looks like I got off easy compared to you."
"Tell me about it." Marshall sighed, knowing that this was a lot, even for Zuma. He did have a signature pun in mind for it though. "I mean, Zuma's pranks are usually easy to brush off, but he's really milking it in this time."
"Marshall!"
Flare and Skye laughed off the pun as Claw was heard laughing as he came into the Lookout with Snow and Everest. Snow's annoyed look with Everest trying to make it feel better made it clear to Skye that Snow was a recent victim. "Let me guess. Zuma got you a few minutes ago?"
"Yep. He put itching powder in my had and hit Everest just now with an ice path on the path up here." Snow revealed, and then she brought up something she was relieved about. "Thank God he at least made it ice cubes and not an actual trail."
Claw couldn't help snickering as he brought up the prank Zuma did on him. "And he just finished chasing me around in some giant psycho costume." Claw laughed a bit more as he revealed why he enjoyed the prank. "Most exciting thing that's happened to me all day."
Marshall then realized that Flare was the only one left and started to get worried about what Zuma would do to him. "Hold on. Does that mean Flare is the only one left?"
Skye tried to remember everything that happened today from what Chase told her, listing of the other pranks she knew of. "Causing Rocky to get his butt poked by safety pins, tricking Chase into farting in the ocean at the beach, messing with me during my phone call with Amy..." Skye gave a concerned look to Flare and Marshall as she confirmed Marshall's concerns. "You're right Marshall! Flare IS the last one!"
"What about Ryder and Richie?" Flare asked, not sure if they should be left out of this. "Did Zuma get them too?"
"No, he only pranks us when it comes to April Fools Day." Skye revealed, having known Zuma long enough to have an idea as to why. "Ryder and Richie were always too clever for his pranks."
Everest was quick to let the others know where Zuma went after he pranked Claw. "He went into town after he pranked Claw. He could be planning a big one to finish the day off."
"I was his victim for that." Snow shuddered at the memory, not wanting to relive anything like that. "You never forget something like that." Flare and Marshall got more worried after hearing that. As they looked at each other, it was clear that they didn't know what was going to happen.
Later that night, Flare was eating a bowl of ice cream for dessert as he saw Zuma coming up to him. "Hey there Flawe."
Flare looked at Zuma and saw him giving a friendly smile as he continued to eat his ice cream. "Oh, hey Zuma." Flare took another bite of his ice cream before pointing out how serious Zuma's pranks were today. "You sure pulled a lot of hardcore pranks today."
"Yep. That's how Apwil fools goes with me." Zuma snickered a bit before he then changed the subject to something else. "Anyway, I found something cool I think you'll wanna see. It's in Chase's woom."
Flare wasn't sure what to expect and felt something was a little off about this offer. "Why would Chase have something cool in his room and not tell us about it?"
"Evewyone has secwets dude." Zuma pointed out, and Flare couldn't really argue with that, and Zuma knew he couldn't stop him from being curious now. "If you like, I can wash your bowl for you while you go check it out. There's this little hole in the door that'll give you an eagle's eye view of the goods."
"Thanks Zuma!" Flare handed his bowl to Zuma before coming to realization about something and went to question him about it. "Hold on. This isn't a prank, is it? I'm not gonna look through there and get pink eye or something, am I?"
"My extweme pwanking is over after dessewt Flawe. Twust me, you're safe." Flare couldn't help but wonder if Zuma was telling the truth with all he'd heard about today. He shrugged after thinking for a few seconds however, and went off to see what Zuma wanted him to check out. Zuma couldn't help snickering after he finished washing out Flare's bowl. This was almost too easy. "And that's how you twick a puppy."
Flare was outside of Chase's room as he looked in through the hole, being completely stunned by what he saw, but unable to move. There were subtle moans and sighs that cave an idea as to what was going on in there. Marshall and Everest were walking down the hallway as Marshall told Everest about his family. "Mom even performed at the last show Flare and I attended before we moved here." Everest found herself interested in that, and Marshall noticed what Flare was doing. Sighing in disappointment, he walked over to Flare to confront him. "Flare, what are you doing?"
"I wanna look away, but I can't!" Flare informed Marshall, and that concerned Marshall and Everest, as he was clearly horrified by what he was seeing.
Marshall and Everest shared a worried look before the two of them pulled Flare away from the hole with Everest asking about it. "What's this hole doing in Chase's door?"
"No idea." Marshall admitted, and when he went to check it out for himself, "This is invasion of privacy too, so Chase could-" he saw something that absolutely shocked him upon sight and caused him to scream. "OH MY GOD!"
The moaning stopped as soon as Marshall screamed, leaving a concerned Everest to speak up as Flare shook his head to get the image out of it. "Marshall, what's wrong!?"
"Pardon my French, but Flare was watching Chase and Skye f#ck!" Marshall exclaimed, and then he realized what was going on. Remembering the talk he had with some of the others that day, he became furious. His blood started to boil as he clenched his fists. "This was Flare's prank." Everest coudln't help but be shocked by that. She didn't think Zuma had a side to him that was this dirty. The outside of the Lookout was then shown with Marshall shouting at the top of his lungs, and it was so loud that it made the ground shake. "ZUUUUUUMAAAAAA!"
Zuma was running away from a furious Marshall in a panic, and Marshall was sure to call out to him with rage. "Running will only make it worse Zuma!" Chase and Rocky were chasing after the both of them as Marshall called out to Zuma again. "You went too far this time!" Zuma arrived in the living room with Snow being in there, having spotted what was going on with Zuma begging him silently to protect him. She saw Marshall running over to him and glared at him with rage. "There you are!"
Snow walked off with a smug grin on her face as Zuma continued to plead with her, leaving Marshall to lunge at him and make him land on the couch. Marshall attempted a strong right hook on Zuma with the Chocolate Labrador grabbing his fist and kicking him off afterwards. Chase caught Marshall and held him back before he could charge at Zuma again, leaving Rocky to assist him when he arrived. "Marshall, stop it! I know Zuma went to far with his prank on Flare, but beating him up isn't gonna help anyone!"
"Wait. Zuma finally pulled off his prank on Flare?" Snow asked, and she signaled Zuma to come on over. Since Marshall looked well restrained enough, he went on over as Snow asked about the prank. "What could he have done to make Marshall uncharacteristically attack him?"
Marshall was about to speak before Chase signaled him not to, leaving him to whisper what happened into Snow's ear as Zuma asked Rocky what was gonna happen. "Any idea what's gonna go down?"
Rocky shrugged in response, and as Snow nodded in response while containing her rage, she stepped closer to Zuma and hit him with a strong right hook. This happened just as Ryder came down the elevator. Thankfully, Snow was done, but Ryder was still shocked as he caught sight of the situation. "Snow, calm down! I saw everything on the monitor. There's no need for violence." Zuma rubbed his cheek with the glare from Marshall helping Zuma more to see that he really screwed up.
Flare was with Everest in the kitchen, and the Husky was helping him pour just the right amount of bleach into his eyes so he didn't burn them. "Don't worry Flare. Once Marshall calms down, you can go to bed and make tomorrow a brand new day."
"I hope so Everest." Once Everest was finished pouring the bleach, Flare started to worry about what would happen to Zuma. "Is Zuma okay? Marshall's never gotten that angry before."
"Aside from Snow sucker punching him, yeah. He's fine." Everest assured Flare, walking to his room with him while the others finished talking to him. "Come on. Let's get you to your room, away from all this drama about... that."
Zuma was in the living room as he was faced with a worried looking Rocky, along with a disappointed Ryder, who was crossing his arms, a furious Marshall, and an additionally angry Chase, Skye, and Snow. Zuma wasn't sure what to say in response, since the silence was so long and awkward. He still didn't fully understand what was going on, since it was April Fools day, which he thought gave him a free pass on the prank he did on Flare. Despite Rocky not being happy about what Zuma did, he still didn't want him to face anything that sounded too severe.
Getting tired of the silence, Chase broke it and stepped forward to begin telling Zuma off for the stunt he pulled. "Did this incident make you happy!?" Zuma was scared when he saw how angry Chase looked, and when Chase noticed this, he composed himself and spoke as sternly as before, but nowhere near as aggressively. "That was too far Zuma! I know you've gone over the top on previous April Fools days, but exposing mine and Skye's first time to Flare has to have destroyed some of his innocence!"
"I-I-I didn't think that would happen to someone like Flawe!" Zuma admitted, figuring that Flare would've been able to bounce back from that easily. "He bounced wight back fwom lots of stuff that would twaumatize anyone else."
"Everyone has their limits Zuma." Chase reminded Zuma, who felt even worse when he realized that slipped his mind. "And even if Flare didn't, you shouldn't have used April Fools day as an excuse to intentionally horrify your friend."
Zuma was about to speak up, only for Marshall to snap at him before he could. "Now if you'll excuse me! I'm going to go check on my brother to make sure he doesn't have nightmares tonight!"
Marshall stormed off, leaving Skye to speak up on her end about how she felt about this. "I felt, so... violated."
Zuma didn't know what to say after that, and Ryder then spoke up to let him know what was coming. "We can discuss what's going to happen tomorrow Zuma. For now, I think we should just head to bed, and cool off after tonight." His voice made it clear that he wasn't happy with Zuma. And Zuma didn't even mind it. He didn't deserve any sympathy after what he did to Flare.
Zuma was contemplating what happened in his bed as Rocky was getting in to lie down next to him. Zuma needed to talk to someone about this, and he knew that Rocky would be the best pick for that. "Wocky?" Rocky listened closely and put his paw on Zuma's shoulder to let him know. "Do you think... do you think I twaumatized Flawe?"
Rocky didn't want to make Zuma feel worse, but he also knew he couldn't lie to him about this. "Permanently, no. For tonight, yes." Zuma looked at Rocky as he told Zuma what he learned about Flare since he met him. "Flare's young and naive, but he's also tough and forgiving. I'm sure everyone just needs time to cool off, and by tomorrow, you and Flare will be cool."
Zuma sat up with Rocky keeping his paw on his shoulder as he told him about his struggles. "There's also Mawshall, Chase, and Skye I'll have to wowwy about." Zuma's guilt was obvious to Rocky, and he could also tell that Zuma felt this bad because he knew he messed up, rather than the fact that he got busted. "Chase was wight. I went too far this time. How can I even apologize to someone after I pwactically cwacked their innocence?"
"Like I said, Flare's tough." Rocky reminded Zuma, knowing that Flare wasn't the type to hold a grudge. "And as far as I know, it's not in his blood to hold a grudge on a friend."
Zuma saw Rocky's point, but he still wished he could take his prank back. "Twue. I just wish I wealized what I was doing sooner."
"Maybe next time, you will." Rocky then assured Zuma that he'd help him with that one. "And I'll be on watch for if you ever plan anything this serious again." Zuma smiled gratefully, and then he and Rocky started to get ready for bed. "Goodnight honey."
"Goodnight sweetie." The two pups hugged each other when they went to bed, embracing each other lovingly, since Zuma felt better knowing he had his support.
Flare and Marshall were getting ready for bed as Flare held onto Princess Chocolate while talking to his older brother. "Don't worry about me Marshall. If there's one thing Princess Chocolate does best, it's beating up nightmares and trauma until they turn into cotton candy!" Flare still couldn't believe some of the stuff he learned during their last vacation in Twin Flame Island. "Dad sewing her makes so much sense. I can't help feeling safe around her."
Marshall was still mad at Zuma, but he couldn't help smiling while talking to Flare about life. "I think mom said once that... sewing was a good comfort hobby for dad. That's probably why he made that sash for the Twin Flame Island Protection Force too." Marshall then thought about his father's early years and started to get worried again. "I'll bet he needed it after he first started to atone. It sounds like a good stress reliever."
"And something he and mom loved doing together." Flare added, and then a question came to his mind that he hoped Marshall wouldn't mind asking. "Hey Marshall?"
"Yeah Flare?" Marshall asked, and Flare then went right ahead and asked the question.
"Why did Chase stick his wiener into Skye's butt?"
Marshall was left speechless at that question, and his face said it all. He dodged the question with a cop out response and slid down the ladder to his bed. "You'll know when you're older! Goodnight buddy; love ya!" Marshall then went to bed as fast as he could, and the fake snoring he did told Flare that he didn't wanna talk about it. He shrugged with a smile in response to that and went to bed, hoping that all of this drama would die down tomorrow.
Rocky and Zuma were walking down the hallway early next morning as they overheard Marshall talking to Chase alone in his and Flare's room. "This doesn't have anything to do with the prank Zuma pulled on Flare last night, does it?"
Rocky and Zuma were concerned when they heard that with Marshall than debunking the idea. "No, that didn't change anything." Zuma sighed of relief, glad he didn't cause Flare or Marshall to hate him. "It's just that... our last visit to Twin Flame Island had us learn some stuff that made me worried he could become a target for Charm's torture." Rocky and Zuma became more intrigued by that as Marshall explained all he could. "I can't go into the specifics, but our dad was in desperate need of fundings when it was just him and our Uncle Pongo."
Marshall sighed, hoping he wasn't going to sound like a hypocrite when asking Chase for this favor. Especially since he knew he was breaking the promise he made to Flare on that same day. "I know I cracked when trying to keep your secret in Barkingburg, but please don't let Flare find out about this. If he has to learn that I told Ryder not to let him join, I want it to be from me. I only told you about it because I had to tell someone."
Chase was about to respond, only for Rocky and Zuma to come in as the former spoke up. "Flare isn't joining the team anymore!?"
"SSSHHHHH!" Marshall hissed loudly, and he listened closely to see if Flare heard that. He sighed of relief when he didn't come, figuring that he was too busy making breakfast. He then told the others about this, showing just how bad he felt as he did. "I don't know what Ryder's gonna do yet. I know this is gonna crush Flare, but I have to protect him."
Rocky and Zuma knew Marshall wanted to keep this from Flare as well, and despite not agreeing with it, they felt complying was their best bet for now. Rocky made sure Marshall knew that. "As long as you tell him when you think it's safe, we can keep it to ourselves."
"Yeah. No pwoblem." Zuma assured Marshall, and the Dalmatian was relieved to hear that as Zuma then spoke up. "Let's twy not thinking about this for too long. I bet we're all stawving wight now."
The others nodded in agreement, but on the way to the kitchen, Marshall stopped Zuma to talk to him. Once Chase and Rocky were out of sight, he began speaking. "I'm still mad at you for what you did to Flare last night, but I appreciate you helping me with this." Zuma smiled when Marshall told him that, glad that he wasn't ready to cut ties with him. "And I won't be acting as a temporary restraining order either, so if you wanna talk to Flare, go ahead. But no, pranking!"
"Wight. Got it." Zuma assured Marshall, being fine with the no pranking thing. As long as he got to apologize to Flare for last night, all would be good.
Marshall and Zuma then joined the rest of the pups in the dining room, where Flare was serving them all a bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage, and buttered toast breakfast. Ryder was there too, leaving Zuma to wonder what he had to say as Flare noticed his brother and good friend come into the kitchen/dining room. "There you two are!" Flare gave Marshall and Zuma their plates after they sat down as he cracked a joke about what happened last night. "I hope you two don't plan on turning this into a Breakfast Fight Club."
"Well I'm still upset, but you know how I am; I'll get over it quickly." Marshall assured Flare, taking a bite of his bacon as Zuma then got down to business.
Before Zuma started eating, he stopped Flare as he was leaving the table so he could talk to him. "Hey Flawe?" Flare let Zuma say what he wanted to say, which the Chocolate Labrador struggled with. He wasn't used to apologizing for his pranks, so he just brute forced it out of himself. "I'm weally sowwy about that 'pwank' I pulled on you lat night, if you can even call it that. Believe it or not, that's the cwaziest I've ever gotten on Apwil Fools day before. I never should've used that day as an excuse to do what I did."
Flare appreciated the apology, and he had to admit that he had his own thoughts on the situation. "I definitely wasn't happy about it while it was going on. It's a good thing I had Princess Chocolate to help with that." Flare then giggled a bit before warning Zuma about his limits for his pranking. "Just make sure you don't try anything like that on any of us again, and I won't barricade my bedroom door." Zuma gave Flare a thumbs up, assuring him that he would make absolute sure about that one.
Ryder, being glad to see Zuma taking accountability for his actions, decided that now was a good time to talk about last night. "I'm glad you understand what you did wrong Zuma, but there's still the matter of the consequences of the prank."
"You mean Snow's wight hook didn't count?" Zuma asked as his eyes darted over to Snow, who smirked in response. "I'm pwetty lucky she didn't knock a tooth out."
Ryder chuckled a bit as he then assured Zuma that it wouldn't be too serious. "It did, but I still have to do my job as a leader." Zuma got that, and as he began eating his breakfast, Ryder decided to make a compromise for his original punishment idea. "I was originally going to ground you for a two weeks, but seeing Snow punch you last night, and seeing you apologize to Flare, led to me deciding to make it one week instead. You can still participate in rescues that require your skill set, and sleep with Rocky, and talk to your parents, but that's about it."
"Well at least I still get some sweet love." Zuma then realized that he still had to apologize to Chase and Skye, addressing them next. "Oh; Chase, Skye. I should apologize to you guys too. I never should've gotten you involved in Flawe's pwank like that. Or any way that would've violated your pwivacy."
"It was a lot less than ideal, I'll say that much." Skye admitted, still being shocked by how serious things got. "Just keep our love life out of your pranks next time. Please?"
Zuma nodded his head assuredly in response, leaving Chase to be relieved a he flirted with Skye a bit. "Maybe we can have a do over on our first time, no interruptions." Skye giggled a bit in response, loving any idea Chase had in store for the two of them.
Zuma was talking to his parents on his Pup-Pad, which Ryder let him keep, but only for that one purpose. "So yeah. I don't know what's gonna happen on the next Apwil Fools day, but I can tell you wight now that I'm never gonna be damaging someone else's innocence with my pwanks, ever again."
Celeste and Gabe were listening to Zuma's story, and Gabe had some choice words for Zuma, being the prankster that he was. "It's important to know the limits of pranking son. Practical jokes can only go so far until you forget what you should and shouldn't do."
Celeste also took the time to ask Zuma about one of the other pranks he did. "What about that prank you did on Chase? Was anyone else riled up about it?"
"Well Captain Tuwbot was a little upset, but only because of how much it inconvenienced him." Zuma then realized that Flare's prank wasn't the only time he went too far. "Dang. I did NOT think some of those pwanks thwough." Zuma felt in need of some parental advice upon this revelation. He hoped Celeste and Gabe would know what to say. "Mom. Dad. Do you think I'm a pwanking monster?"
"No, not a pranking monster. Then you wouldn't care who you hurt." Celeste assured Zuma lovingly, letting him know that he was better than he was starting to think he was. "Everyone goes too far sometimes, and the good ones acknowledge it when they do and try to make things right. Though, I'm surprised you risked damaging the ocean as much as you did."
Zuma then remembered something Ryder told him after breakfast and let his parents know about it. "Well now that I think about it, I think Wyder has something to fix that. Even if it's just cleaning up the ocean, and not bwinging the dead fish back to life." Rocky was coming by with a soda for Zuma as he overheard what he was talking about with his parents. "I've got Wocky to make sure I never do anything like that again. And knowing him, he's gonna do an epic job."
Celeste and Gabe were proud of their son for how he's handling the situation, and Gabe let him know that they'd be there for him too. "We're also here if the two of you need any help with that. (Smirks) Or if you want me to join in on your next April Fools tirade."
Zuma laughed in response to that, knowing that him and his dad teaming up would be epic. "That'd be awesome!"
Rocky then opened the door as he was finished listening as he reminded the two of a circumstance for him. "I hope you'll still keep the fart pranks away from me."
Rocky handed Zuma his soda as the Chocolate Lab lovingly kissed his cheek, just as Gabe commented on that reminder. "Don't you worry Rocky. You'll be as uninvolved with any smelly pranks Zuma and I come up with as possible." Rocky sighed of relief upon hearing that, and as he did Gabe made an offer to the pups for what they could do together sometime soon. "Hey. Maybe sometime after Zuma's grounding is over, we can all head off to the beach together and help you with your Aquaphobia."
"Yeah; that sounds phenomenal!" Rocky exclaimed, still being eager to start loving the water like Zuma did. "Swimming with more than one dog should help us make significant progress!"
"And that means we'll get closer to making you a suwfing pwo yet!" Zuma said as he lovingly wrapped his arm around Rocky. "I'm always down for helping you leawn how to balance on a suwfboard." Rocky smiled and nuzzled Zuma in response to that as the Chocolate Labrador then complimented his boyfriend. "I don't think you'll have much twouble though. You may not get involved in combat as much as I do, but you've definitely shown you can be tough as nails."
Celeste rubbed her belly a little before adding her own two cents on what they could do on that day. "I have a feeling I'll also be hankering a lot of food then. Maybe we could grab a bite or two at Mr. Porter's, see how well he can cook us up a seafood feast."
Rocky and Zuma were a little surprised to see Celeste this hungry, and their gaze showed that they didn't know what to say about it. Gabe knew what was going on and signaled Celeste to save it for when they knew for sure what was happening. Zuma knew it would've been awkward to keep things silent however, so he decided to say the best thing he could. "As long as you don't eat the whole westaurant." The four canines couldn't help laughing at Zuma's joke. Even though they had to wait until Zuma's grounding was over, it was clear that they were going to have a great time next week.
Melancholic music played as Claw started speaking in regards to what was going to happen in the next chapter with specific moments being shown. "At least some of us get to have our families in our lives. Huh? Oh, it's nothing Skye. I just have a lot on my mind right now. Yes Snow, I know I brought up that my parents died during our visit to Jake's Mountain; I don't see why it interests you. And I don't see how talking about it is going to make me feel any better!"
Claw finished the announcement with the words Paw Patrol in all blue with red outlines and the title all white with Flare on one and and Marshall on the other. "Next time, What Family Means To Claw! (Claw was shown to be getting upset while talking to Chase by the Lookout trees) I'm not bottling anything up! Just leave me alone!"
