Total Drama Grand Prix Update 2
Margaret appears on the screen again and begins to speak, "And now the second week of applications are done and it's now time to announce are second set of players. This time, we got a bit of variety, both of players and of cars and we will be sure to interview some of them during the announcement. And let it not be said that I go back on my word, as by the end of the announcement, I will give you all a sneak preview of two tracks you will see in the cups. So, with that, let's get to it."
The camera flashes to a blue screen with the first application. He's a small and thin older man covered in white makeup, wearing a rainbow color afro and has brown eyes. His whole outfit is a pink, blue, and yellow clown outfit with giant red shoes. Margaret then introduces the contestant, "First is Piccolo the Clown. AKA, Giuseppe Bilancia. A clown born in my country of Italy, he dreams of making it big, but due to his lame jokes, terrible looks, and being a pain magnet, he usually ends up as the butt of many jokes. Fitting considering his current profession."
The camera than transitions to his vehicle. Which is a black and white ice cream van. Margaret then continues, "Piccolo will be driving Vanilla flavor? Man does he need better naming sense." Margaret looks down in annoyance before continuing. "Anyway, Mr. Vanilla is a modified ice cream truck that may be slow, but is strong and durable, tanking more hits than any of the contestants we have seen so far. That's for sure" Margaret snickers at the last part, "In addition, this truck also has a lot of tricks up its sleeve, like a flamethrower, some land mines, and even a nitro boost. Looks like this clown is all ready for the Survival Cup, so that's where he's going to be."
The camera transitions again to the next contestant. Or contestants, in this case. The screen shows a boy and a girl. The boy is five foot seven with black spiky hair, green round eyes and pale skin. The girl is five foot nine with black curly hair, blue round eyes, and white skin. Both of them are pretty skinny, though the girl seems to have a bit more than the boy. The girl is wearing a beige collared long-sleeved shirt with a picture of a bomb on front, blue pants, red sneakers with socks. The boy is wearing a green long-sleeve shirt with black dots, black pants rolled to the top of his shoes, black and white shoes with socks.
Margaret then speaks again, "The next contestant is actually a two for one deal. As these two will be driving together in their chosen vehicle. But quick reminder, it's usually only one contestant per car. They're the exception since both of them are going to drive together. So, I better not hear any complaining!" Margaret yells out the last sentence, "As for the duo, the girl's name is Margaret Advert, hate her already. And Vince Cent, who I'm not sure of yet. Both of them are homeschooled teens and best friends who have a shared love for racing. Though it looks like they aren't afraid to cheat or do a little sabotage on the side to win the contest. So, I'm hoping to see some blown up engines and flat tires when they're competing."
The screen transitions to their vehicle, a yellow Sodi Kart Sigma KZ. Or in simple terms, a yellow go-kart for two people. Margaret continues, "They'll be driving a yellow go-kart of all things. Despite this surprisingly, it can handle its own against others car thank having a high amount of speed, great drifting capabilities, and top-class tires. On the flipside though, its steering is terrible and can get easily damaged, so the gruesome twosome better watch themselves since they decided to start in the Survival cup."
The screen does another transition to the next contestant. A five-foot five, brown-eyed, Caucasian girl who's in between skinny and husky. She has dark brunette that is long and goes to her shoulders, but she's also wearing a wig which makes her hair black and have purple streaks. She is wearing a pink spaghetti strapped shirt with a bra underneath, brown shorts, sandals, and a necklace with a rose on it. After a second, Margaret introduces the unnamed contestant, "The next racer is Emily Miller, a girl from Wichita, Kansas. Says here that she's been dreaming of being an engineer when she grows up and is considered a 'Girl Next Door'. Little bland, don't you think" Margaret raise her eyebrow after the last remark, then says, "In fact, why don't we hear from the horse's mouth? One of our interns, Bridgette I believe, is down with Emily right now and will give our first interview. You hear that, Bridgette!?" Margaret shouts the last part.
The screen transitions to Bridgette in a tied up black and white striped-t-shirt and a pair of black short-shorts, and some black sandals. She's standing next to Emily, who's currently working on her vehicle "Loud and clear! Margaret!" Shouts Bridgette in an annoyed tone. But then she gives a complicit smile and says, "I'm here with Emily Miller who's looking over her vehicle for the cup. Emily, how do you feel about entering a season like this?"
Emily, with an annoyed stare, says "Well first off, I'm wondering why you're practically wearing a bikini for this event…"
"Hey! I didn't want to wear this!" Bridgette shouts back, "It's part of the contract since I'm going to be a flag girl for the remainder of the Prix!"
"…Second," Emily continues, "Is that I'm more than fine competing in a season like this and I'll be able to crush anyone who thinks otherwise."
"Well," Bridgette says, "You are a lot more open than I thought you'll be."
Emily shrugs and replies, "It's mostly because I'm allowed to be more open than I would anywhere else."
"I see." Bridgette says, then she asks, "So, you'll be starting in the Speed Cup, the last qualifying cup of the Prix. Feeling nervous that you're starting so late?"
"Not really." Emily nonchalantly replies, "I picked that cup because I'm good at it. Plain and simple. No other racer will be able to match me when it comes to burning rubber on the track."
Bridgette smiles at this response and asks, "May we see how your car work then?"
Emily shrugs at this and replies, "Sure." The camera moves to the vehicle and Emily starts to explain, "My vehicle is a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro with a black and purple color scheme. I have a top-of-the-line engine that will guarantee that I run circles around the other racers, and have extra plating for old planes, which admittedly slows my car a bit, but gives me sweet defense that will make sure it won't be taken down by any of the weaklings here."
Bridgette observes the car and says, "But didn't you say that this was made in 1969? How do you think it's going to stack up against more modern vehicles?"
Emily smirks and replies, "It may be old, but it's been modified by me. It'll will certainly keep up with the other, if not surpass. Sure, it may start up slow, but once it gets going, nothing can stop it."
"Sounds like you're confident about you chances in this Prix. Emily." Bridgette retorts.
"More like excited," Emily says ecstatically, "I can finally do what I love and not hide it every step of the way. I may be a regular girl off the track for the sake of making friends and keeping thins civil, but on the track, I'm ready to let loose and truly have fun." Emily then remembers the cameras and blushes and whispers to Bridgette, "Just please tone done the trash talk during editing please?"
"We'll see what we can do." Bridgette says, and then looks at the camera and says, "But that's all the time we have for this interview, so Margaret, back to you."
The screen transitions to Margaret and she replies, "Thank you Bridgette." The screen then transitions to the next contestant accepted. The contestant is six-foot nine pale white female who's very thin and lanky, has greenish-blue eyes, long and messy brown hair that reach her shoulders with blue highlights. She's wearing a dark green shirt with lime green Space Invaders symbol, a dark grey hoodie jacket with black pockets, a pair of blue jeans, and red Converses with blue stripes. She also has freckles on her cheek and a mechanical right arm. Margaret then says, "The last contestant of the night is a girl with a robotic arm named Melissa Robison. Born in Phoenix Arizona, she grew up pretty lonely and without many friends." Margaret tears up a bit at the last part, but quickly recovers and continues, "She's apparently some inventor who hopefully made a great vehicle for the Prix."
The screen transitions to her car, a blue Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with red and purple stripes and a mechanical arm attached to the back. Margaret then continues, "Her car is a Silverado with a mechanical arm that is tough and can pick stuff up with ease thanks to its built-in mechanical. However, it has low acceleration and pretty bad control. And she wants to try her luck in the Speed Cup? No way! Exploration Cup for her, all the way.
The screen transitions to Margaret in the front and she says, "So, now that the second batch has been chosen, it's now time to reveal two of the track of the Prix. And here they are!"
The screen transitions to a giant metal circle being hoisted up in the air by several red helicopters. It has several can on the edges, several ramps and hoops, and a big fountain at the center. Margaret from offscreen, says, "This is the Heliport. A stadium for the Famous Cup, it is with ramps and hoops to help get easy points, but the real point grabbers are all on the edge, where several cups are waiting to be knocked down and giving you many point if you do. But if you stay on the ledge, you'll keep getting quadruple points for how long you stay there. Be warn though, this track isn't stable, so if you're not smart, many people can easily go off the edge."
The screen transitions to a base of a volcano that is barely covered with ash and soot, "This is known as Hell's Entrance. A Survival Cup stadium. The floor is rocky and unstable, and it's still molten hot, so expect to see actual burning rubber and cars burning in sight. The floor can also burst out molten lave anytime, so expect to feel a burning sensation if you dare go on this track."
The screen then transitions back to Margaret, and she says, "And with that, we are out of time. Tune in next week to see who'll be joining the cast next time. As well as more interviews and track Previews on the way. Right here on Total Drama GRAND PRIX!"

Hey everyone. I'm here with my second update. As you can see, it's been a lot slower than I thought. Hopefully, the applications can pick up or I may have to skip next week when it comes to updates. I have a few from applicants who have previously been accepted, one of which I added in during this update, but I still need more since this is going to be a very big cast of characters. So, I implore that anyone who's interested in sending an OC who hasn't been accepted yet to please send one. I really want to go ahead with this project, but I can't do so without your support. And I know that using your OCs in fics like this is severely frowned upon and I do not want to resort to that. So, again, I hope all of those who are interested and haven't send one yet can send an OC and hopefully get this project off the ground. With that being said, I will see you all later and hopefully, I'll come back with an update next week.
