Me and Tsu suited up and headed out to Ryukyu's agency, waving a quick goodbye to Deku, Iida and Kirishima as we went. Ryukyu had told us to come in early, and miss class. We were going to go on patrol with her and Hado, and keep an eye out for criminal activity.

"If we see those villains from earlier, of course we'll stop them. But for now that case is being covered by the police. We have a district to cover."

The agency always had fresh coffee brewing, and Hado got extra question-y after a cup or two. It seemed she needed energy to make her spiral powers work, so she was rarely without a nice cup in hand.

"Hey hey, Uravity, why so down? Huh, huH? Cause of those villains we fought before? No good moping about em! Best foot forward, you know? Or is it something else? A boy? A girl? A bad grade? Tell me!"

I put on a big fake smile. "It's nothing, really. Guess I'm just tired!"

"Best get used to an earlier schedule," Ryukyu told me. "Look alive, girls."

It was an all-day patrol. In the morning we stopped a bank robbery. But it wasn't until evening that anything big happened.

We were patrolling the downtown area, eyes sharp. Ryukyu had told us criminal activity tended to go up after dark. Then we heard the great big "THOOOM" CRASH!" sounds of chaos, sure enough.

Two gigantic villains were brawling, their fight tearing apart the city! Civilians and police were running from the chaos, yelling for grinned at us.

"Heya, girls. This may be a good time to whip out that move you used on me during your test! Let me pin em down, and you do the rest."

She was off, and we followed, I floating myself into the sky and Tsu jumping onto the falling debris. Hado had gotten into a perfect position to blast 'em, calling "Charging complete. Output level 30!" before letting loose with her trademark 'Nejire Wave', laying the villains flat on their butts. Guess she'd been taking it easy on us!

"Hey hey! Why're you fighting? Is it cuz you both have the same quirk? Kinda weird! NOW! DO IT YOU TWO!"

"Ultimate - "

"Move!"

"METEOR FAFROTSKIES!"

And a meteor shower rained from the sky right onto those villains' heads, as Tsu balanced on a piece of falling building next to me, and I held position, not even a bit nauseous.

The villains were down for the count.

We regrouped with Hado-senpai and Ryukyu, who had calmly observed us from the sidelines.

"Nice, really, really nice! Were you two nervous?" Hado asked.

"We did it just like you said!" I told her.

"Kero! I wasn't worried at all, surprisingly," said Tsu. Of course she wasn't!

"You're as good as Nejire said. I can see why she recommended you two," said Ryukyu senpai. "And good job improving on timing the attack Nejire."

We bowed together. "THank you so much for hiring us!"

"Yes, of course."

"Ah! Ryukyu, didja know, these two couldn't work with their old internship heroes? And as first years, they could only work at a really accomplished agency! Did you know that?" asked Hado.

"You may be students, but you're already showing great promise as fighters during this work study!" said Ryukyu. "You may even prove helpful for a certain case."

"A case?" I asked.

"All Might's former sidekick, Nighteye, has requested help."

Oh. Deku's agency. Huh. Guess I may be working with him.

I'm calm. I'm ok with that. why shouldn't I be?

That evening, it seemed we weren't the only ones who'd done well.

"Your name! Your hero name's in the news!" Kaminari called out to Kirishima.

"TSuyu, Uraraka! This is too cool! Your names' here too!" said Ashido, showing us the article on her phone: "New recruits at the Ryukyu agency"

"Heh - pretty exciting I guess!" I smiled.

"Where'd they get that picture from?" asked Tsu.

"I love it! Bet you've laready got hordes of fans, just like Mt Lady!" Mina smiled.

"Provisional licenses or not, we are now heroes when we step onto those mean streets. Wonderful job!" Iida told us. I felt a little self-conscious, but smiled to myself really. Iida's always so nice. He turned then to yell at Deku and Kirishima. "But a student's primary concern is academics! No slacking off now!"

"Gotcha, Iida!" said Kirishima, who this was mainly directed at. "We're ready to learn and all that."

"Yeah!" added Deku.

"You suck at school, though," Kaminari told Kirishima. "You gonna be ok?"

"SEnsei's gonna be giving me some extra lessons," Kirishima explained. "Maybe I should join you?" dded SEro. "KEeping up this doulbe life is tough."

"Everyone learns at their own pace," Yaomomo interjected.

"You always know just what to say!" Kaminari smiled at her.

I watched my classmates discuss academics and couldn't help but feel nervous myself. How'm I supposed to keep up? I'm not much better at academics than Kirishima.

Side B

The bird faced creep went on, "What happens once you've expanded? How're you gonna use these people? What's your management strategy for this organization? Starting with the Hero Killer Stain, then the carnal murderer muscular, and the death row inmate, Moonfish. All heavy hitters operating under you, but they got beaten and caught, almost like you didn't know how to use em, right? You can barely handle the ten or so wackos you've got already, and you wanna recruit more? No point in amassing power you can't control. You need a solid plan to make your goals a reality. And I'm the man with the plan. So no, I didn't come here today hoping to work for you."

"Twice," said Tomura. "I'd appreciate it if you could vet applicants before bringing them here."

"The plan I've got," BIrd face barreled on, "requires a ton of cash. But no one out there's crazy enough to fund some small time Yakzua throwback. But if you guys and the nam you've made for yourselves were involved, it'd be a different story. So join ME. I'll become the next leader and put you to good use."

"Get out," Tomura told him.

"Sorry Mafia boy," said Big Sis Mag, whipping out her weapon. "But we didn't come together to serve anyone." She snatched up the beak head and continued, "The other day I saw a friend of mine. She's a shy one and kind of timid, but she's still my friend, even knowing who I am and what I do. 'People bound by the chains of society always laugh at those who aren't' she told me. I'm hre because I wanna be free! We get to decide where we belong!"

The bird beak touched her. Something happened.

And our friend big sis Mag's top half of her body exploded.
