AN:

Hey guy, sorry about making you wait for so long on this next chapter, I've been working a lot lately. Trying to get to work on the next chapter also realize I dropped a couple of stories as well; I'm trying to get those back up and running soon. :-)

Early the next morning:

Everyone was happy to find that Ihop had been ordered and was the breakfast of the day, they gathered their food and went to their preferred places to eat. Finding that neither Kitty nor his adopted sister were there he decided to go check on them and see if everything was ok. Getting to Kitty's room he knocked.

"Kitty, you'll never guess vhat we're having for breakfast!" He announced cheerfully.

He listened for a response, there was none. Then there was the subtle noise of sniffling on the other side. He started to worry if she'd had a nightmare or if someone had hurt her.

"Are you ok Kitty?" He asked, there was a few seconds that went by.

"No." She answered back simply.

"Are you decent?" He asked her, instead of responding she got up going to the door and phased through pulling him in to which he gasped not expecting the action. His surprise faded a moment later when he felt her shaking.

"Vhat's wrong, did you have another nightmare?" He asked her she shook her head, trying to steady her breathing.

"It's… Logan's gone!" She said trying to control her crying, his eyes widened at her words.

"What!?" He asked unsure if he heard her right.

"He is… I – I didn't even get to say goodbye!" She broke into sobs after that, he put his hands on his head looking around the room.

'Professor, is this true?' He asked mentally.

'Yes Kurt, he passed away in his sleep peacefully last night.' The older man answered him back, he stood there not sure what to do, then he let out a sob not wanting to believe what he heard.

"Where's Ororo and the kids?" He asked his voice cracking.

'They're together.' Neither one of them were hungry anymore at this news.

Down in the dining room Charles Xavier cleared his throat, and announced himself letting the others know he was about to speak.

"Good morning everyone…" At his words some of the students quitted down while some of the others kept talking.

"I have some very sad news this morning…" now the students were shushing the others who had continued their conversation, the man prepared himself for what he was about to say.

"I am sorry to say that, our instructor and dear friend Logan Howlett is no longer with us today." Voices slowly started whispering what he meant.

"He passed peacefully in the night." The whispers got louder now as the news hit everyone in their own way.

"Wait! You mean, he's dead?" Bobby asked the man at the end of the table, he nodded back to the boy.

"Oh my God!" He said his expression turning blank as he had no idea how to handle this. The murmuring continued until it was time for school.

"Professor." Scott said as he saw the man wheel toward his office, he turned toward the younger man knowing what was on his mind.

"Is he really… I mean, how?" He asked a bit dumbfounded, Xavier kept wheeling himself to his office while the young man walked beside him.

"Yes Scott, he died in his sleep last night." Instantaneously a thought crossed the brunettes mind.

"She was busy comforting the family, she didn't forget to tell you." He responded knowing what Scott was thinking.

"I know she didn't, I'm just surprised she didn't let me know at breakfast or something, you know." He responded.

"Yes Scott, I understand."

"Yeah, I know."

At the school later that day:

"Wait, so your teacher DIED last night?" one of the kids at the school asked,

"Yeah, he'd been sick for a while, but we didn't think he'd die…" Ryan, one of the newer students responded

"Good for you, haha."

"Dude really?" He asked back, the other boy looked at him not understanding why he wasn't glad.

"What? Don't tell me you're not just a little happy, no more homework bro!" He looked down to his hands thinking for a moment.

"Yeah… I guess you're right about that part."

"After all you did say he was real hard core on PE right?"

"Yeah, that guy was a hard ass, it was for out betterment though."

"Oh yeah, I'm sure he just wanted to give you all heart attacks so him and the other adults could laugh as you die, that's what teachers like doing after all."

"Bro that's not funny! They're not like that!"

"Pfft, yeah sure. All teachers dream of that, it's what puts a smile on their faces in the morning, don't you know?" His classmate joked.

"Why…" He said internally, not sure why he hung out with the people he did at times.

It was a good thing that the Howlett kids got the day out of school otherwise he could think of a few ways that Jessie and Evan would love to torment the boy to his right.

Ororo went back into their room from the bathroom, or now her room. She Was tired, she ached, body, mind, spirit, and soul and yet she felt numb, like when they numb your tongue at the dentists office… Her whole body felt that way, from head to toe. She'd grieved over many things in her life, her parents, her ex, friends, family, death… but it never felt exactly like this. It was a good thing she had her power restrainer on, this had torn any ability to ward off or put down any emotional distress right out of her, and completely uprooted it.

She breathed unrhymed as she looked at the wall where there were a bunch of photos of her and Logan together. She couldn't take it, a loud sob escaped her as she pulled her hand up to her mouth, thunder and lightning flashed in the distance and rain poured as she cried. Taking the picture from the night stand she looked it over tenderly. She then put her hand on Logan's portion of the picture softly, her eyes watered again, her stomach and chest tensed as if she was about to throw up. She couldn't breathe, the pain wouldn't let her, she felt her heart stop in her chest as she remembered her husband, who'd passed just the previous night.

The kids were scattered different places, Jean was worried about them, being that they were all grieving the loss of their Dad. Scott knew that they all needed their time and space to process the events of the past night and today. They were all still in shock of Logan's death.
