Chapter 3: Voices

He loved flying, he loved it more than anything. Flying through the air, feeling the air brush his skin, being above the clouds, feeling the warm sun on his skin. There was no better than feeling this, his wings took him higher and higher, and he loved every minute of it. Sometimes he wishes he could just stay here forever and never come down.

As he continued to soar, he reached his hand down to touch the clouds, his hand gliding through the white clouds. His hand was hit with coldness, but he didn't care at all. He just continued to fly with his hand in the cloud, it was like he was ice skating on the sky. But that fun would soon come to an end when he was blindsided by a hit.

The hit made him spin out of control, he was able to regain himself, but it was pointless when someone grabbed him by his shirt and rocked him with a devastating punch. He felt great pain in his jaw and it continued as he felt a knee get to the gut followed by a shot to the back of his head that sent him down.

The onslaught continued as the figure flew faster than him and appeared below and struck him again sending him to the other side. It happened once again, and again, and again, it was like he had become a pinball. When the mysterious attacker had enough of him he grabbed him by the neck and began to choke him, he felt the ability to breath be cut by the tight vice grip around his neck.

*Ack* He struggled, he fought, and he tried, but it was to no avail as the grip around his neck was too much for him. His eyes started to roll into the back of his head, his strength started to be lost to him, his limbs went still. With little strength he had he looked up at his attacker, he could not see his face for it was shadowed, but he saw something else. He saw how he was in the air, how he was able to move so fast.

What he saw was two metal wings shining in the color of silver. He looked at the wings with appalled eyes, the attacker however saw his look and smiled. It was a cold, evil, and sinister smile that was on his face. With his great strength he brought his victim closer to speak to him for the first time.

"You will never be rid of me." He heard the cold words leave his mouth, hearing them made chill go down his spine as the attacker gave his hand one final squeeze making him kick his legs around the ability to breath was soon over. His vision was blackness and the last thing that he saw was the smile on the attacker's face.

*Gasp* Izuku gasps for air as he leans up off his bed like his life depends on it. Izuku heaved for air, trying to get as much oxygen as he could and got so much that it caused him to cough. He coughed heavily as he got out of his bed, when his feet touched the ground he could barely stand. In fact he collapsed to his knees with the coughing continuing, it wasn't before the noise attracted another guest to his room.

"Izuku? Izuku!" Nemuri opened the door to her adopted son's room and saw on him the ground, sweat covered his body like he had just done an intense workout. She ran to his side and kneeled down next to him, her placed on his breath.

"Izuku, take slow deep breaths and then exhale." Nemuri told her son and Izuku did so, he took slow deep breaths getting air into his mouth and soon exhaled. Nemuri soon saw that it was working, the coughing was stopping and her son was starting to breathe normally. When he finally came down Izuku got up and sat down on the bed hunched over, his hands on his knees and his head down.

Nemuri did the same and began to rub his back, trying her best to comfort him. She had seen and done this before, this action was not something new to her. Since Izuku has been living with her he has been suffering from nightmares, waking up screaming or drenched in sweat.

She knew that these nightmares came from his time being a weapon for All For One. Midnight has asked Izuku if he wanted to see a therapist, but he denied it. He didn't need to see one he told her, but she knew that it was a lie. She didn't want to press him so she accepted his decision, but now she wonders how long can her son stay like this.

Izuku's recovery was speedy, he was breathing normally now and he wasn't sweating as much, but the dream still haunted him. "Was one of the nightmares again?" He heard Nemuri ask him and he shook his head. He knew what she was referring to, she was talking about the memories of his past deeds as the Archangel, but that was not this. No, this was not a memory. That dream served more as a warning for him.

"No, this one was different." Izuku told her as he rubbed his face, Nemuri gently pressed on. She wanted more details so she could get a better understanding of what's happening to her son and then she could help him.

"How different?" Izuku however was not going to let that happen, he was not ready to let her in just yet. Their relationship was not distant, but he kept his adopted mother at arms of length for many reasons. One of the biggest was because he didn't want her to get hurt because of him, he's hurt enough.

'And there will be plenty more coming.' Izuku shook his head when heard that voice, he shook it and even went as far as to slap it. He knew who that voice belonged to, it sounded like him, but it didn't belong to him.

"Just different. What time is it?" Izuku asked as he leaned up from hunched over position.

"5:45 am." Izuku sighed, it was early, very early. He still had about two hours till school started and he didn't feel like going to bed again. Looks like he will be staying up…again. Izuku got up from the bed and stretched his arms and wings, he did while making sure not to hit Nemuri. The shirtless teen started to walk out the room, before the pro hero that was still on his bed called his name.

"Izuku," Izuku turned around too Nemuri, she had a concerned look on her face. Nemuri opened her mouth to say that she wanted Izuku to talk to her to open up, but she knew that she could do that. She could not force him to be close to her. So instead she just put on a smile and told her son to enjoy his morning flight.

"Don't go too far out, ok?" Izuku nodded his head with a smile as well and turned to walk out his room, when he did Nemuri dropped the fake smile and shook her head in her hand.

She was frustrated, angry, and confused. She was feeling all three right now because she didn't know what to do. She was a new mother, she knew that it wasn't going to be easy, but she didn't expect this. How long will Izuku keep her at arm's length? She just wants to help him on his road to recovery, but it seems that he's hellbent on doing it himself.

'He's getting worse every day. The night terrors, the cold sweats, and now he is just talking to himself the other day. What is that even about?' Nemuri wondered to herself as she looked at the clock, she knew that it only had a matter of time before she went to work. She sighed and silently prayed that the day would come when Izuku let her in, till then all she could do was support him.

Izuku was leaning on the balcony of Nemuri's apartment, the apartment was fairly large and definitely had enough space to hold the both of them. It was weird making the transition into her home, he still sometimes feels like a guest that was just trying to find his place, but Nemuri assured that her home was his home. Still even with that assurance it was weird, his whole life he had spent time sleeping in a pod and now he was sleeping on a bed. When he first laid down in it he felt like he was going to sink into it for how soft it was.

The white wing angel looked up at the sky, the sun was starting the rise. He jumped and flapped his wings, taking off into the air. The chilly air touched his skin and it helped even more to wake him up as he rose higher and higher. When got high enough he stopped, he looked around at the surrounding area which was the neighborhood that he lived in and saw that some of the occupants were starting to wake up as well.

Some were taking out their trash, others were doing their morning workout like him, and others were just walking their animals. Izuku smiled when he saw all this, it was times like this where he wished that he would stay in the air forever. It was so simple and peaceful up here, nothing to worry about.

'Oh, I wouldn't exactly say that.' Izuku heard the voice again and this time he grabbed his head with his right hand. Izuku gritted his teeth because he heard the voice everyday, it was starting to get stronger and stronger. He knew it was him that was causing his night terrors.

'Is that what you think? Ha!' The voice laughed at him and Izuku just glared his eyes at what was in front of him which was nothing. He just took deep breaths to calm himself, he couldn't let himself get angry or lose control of his emotions, he does then he will come out. He promised himself on the day that he was freed from All For One control that he would never let him out.

"I will never let you out no matter what." Izuku spoke determinedly, but the voice saw right through that. He knew Izuku better than anyone, he knew all his fears and all his insecurities. The false bravado was one of them.

'Aw, don't you look so tough acting like a hero. That's so sweet, hahaha. Sure, go ahead and tell yourself what you want to hear Zu. Whatever helps you sleep at night, which isn't much.' Izuku ignored jest and just focused on his morning flight, he wanted to get some laps before school started. He needs to continue to get stronger, his brothers are out there and he needs to be ready for them. Not only that he still needs to figure out how to free from the control that All For One has them under.

'That is something that we can agree on.' Izuku and the Archangel disagree on many things…well basically everything, but if there is one thing that they can agree on then it's the freedom of their brothers.

'Once freed we can all go kill All For One and Sinister.' Izuku made a face when he heard that, that is where Izuku disagreed. As much as he wanted to punish All For One and Sinister for what they did to him, killing them is not in the plan.

Izuku flew around the neighborhood for a couple laps, doing spins, and loops, but when enough was enough he came down back to his home and got ready to school. After showering and changing into his clothes, and getting his wings through jacket. His clothes were mostly tailored to fit his wings and when he was dressed he walked out his home and took flight once again.

Nemuri had already been gone since he returned from his workout so when he left he just locked the door. Now in the air once again Izuku calmly enjoyed his flight to school. He knows that he is not supposed to be using his power in public, but flying always cleared his head better than walking did. Also there was the added benefit of avoiding traffic. He hoped that the flight to school would be smooth, but that was not going to happen, especially when he saw the hero battle going in front of him.

The battle that was taking place featured a giant villain against Kamui Woods, Deatharms, …his aunt. The heroes looked to be in control of the battle and it didn't take them long to arrest the villain. hit the Mountain Kick, one of her finishing moves. When the villain took the kick the face was down and Kamui Woods used his branches to entrap him.

Izuku stayed at a distance, not wanting to attract attention nor did he want to be seen. As the heroes were getting thanks from the crowd Izuku saw the villain start to break free from his binds. Once free the villain quickly rose up from the ground and went to attack the first person he saw and that was .

Izuku saw the action and reacted quicker than anyone else including the heroes. Izuku fired a pair of feathers at the back of the villain, they met their mark and pierced his skin causing him to come to a complete stop.

"Who did that?" Deatharms asked aloud as he and the others saw two white feathers in the back of the villain. They looked up to see a winged man flying and thought that it was Hawks, but when they saw the white wings they quickly soon realized that they were wrong. The Kamui Woods team knew who was above them for one of their never shut up about their favorite nephew.

"Izuku!" rushed over to Izuku and grabbed the angelic teen with both her hands now holding him like well…how a giant would hold someone much shorter than them. Izuku looked directly into the eyes of a woman that technically was not his aunt. Mt. Lady aka Yu Takeyama is best friends with Izuku's mother, they're close, basically like sisters…sisters that like to outdo each other, but sisters nonetheless. So when Izuku was adopted by Nemuri, Yu instantly Izuku as her nephew and showered him with love.

"Hi, Yu." Izuku greeted the giant woman, but she frowned and brought Izuku close to her face.

"Now Izuku, what have we talked about?" Yu spoke gently, but underneath that gentleness was a threatening and dangerous tone. Izuku even felt her hand tighten around his body, he felt the squeeze and looked her back in her eyes.

"You told me to call you Aunt Yu." Yu nodded her head at her nephew and gave him a look that he understood very well. If he wanted to get out of her hold he was going to call her by her title. Well in truth he could get out of this whole easily, but Izuku decided that he will play her game.

"Alright, then. Hi Aunt Yu, can please let me go so I can get to class." Now that she heard her title Yu did release Izuku, not before giving a giant pat on his head. The pat messed up his hair, but it was too much to expect. Yu released the teen and Izuku nodded his head at her, he soon took off in flight heading in the direction of his school. While the onlookers were shocked to see that the new hero Mt. Lady had a nephew, they began to wonder who was the mother of the angelic teen.

"Yu, you should have told him that he can't use his powers in public. It's illegal." Yu looked down at her boss Kamui Woods, as great of a hero that he is , Woods is a stickler for the rules.

"Nah, trust me it wouldn't do any good. Izu could have easily broken out of that hold if he wanted to. He just decided that he didn't want to." Hearing that made Woods and Deatharms look at each other, both had the look of surprise on their faces. Both wonder how strong is the son of Midnight.

After being freed from the clutches of his aunt Izuku arrived at school on time, joining the many others that were now walking into the building. 'Let's just get through the day and then head home.' Izuku didn't really see the point of school, he was smart enough as it is.

All For One made him a weapon, but that didn't mean he made him a dumb weapon. All For One had all of Project X taught in many forms of studies. Studies that included foreign languages, history, math, science, even arts. Long story short Izuku is smart where he doesn't need school, but Nemuri insisted on it.

Why she insisted on it Izuku will never know, maybe it had something to do with trying to integrate him back into society. Maybe it had something to do with even getting a second chance at having a normal life. Honestly Izuku didn't care, but one thing is for sure that he did not want to be here. He would rather be anywhere than here, especially now with today's boring lesson.

Izuku was half asleep much like the rest of the class, everyone either drooling on their desks with closed eyes or fighting to keep their eyes open. They had already toned out their teacher, even him, Izuku had his eyes on the window. He so badly wanted to be out there spreading his wings and flying through the sky.

The teen sighed and closed his eyes for a moment, when he opened them he saw something out the window. Izuku narrowed his eyes at the object in question, whatever it was it was coming straight here. Izuku turned his body and got up from his seat to go to the window to get a better look at the object. When moved it disrupted the class and everyone in the room had their eyes on him.

"Mr. Kayama, please sit back down in your seat." The teacher ordered, but Izuku did not listen. Instead he just went to the window to get a better look at whatever was out the window. Izuku at first thought that it was a bird, but its shape and size was too large.

It was coming fast, but the sun behind blinded his vision so he could not get a better look at it. As the object got closer Izuku saw the wings, large and long, had to be the length of his…wings. Izuku widened his eyes when he realized what it was…or better who it was.

"No, no, no, no, no, NO."

"Mr. Kayama get back in your seat right-"

"We need to get out of here now-" It was too late for he had broken through the glass of the classroom and caused everyone to scream in panic at his appearance and entrance. Izuku was frozen like a block of ice as he looked at the figure in front of him. It was him, the Archangel. Archangel smiled as his nails grew in length and his first move was to kill Izuku. Archangel made a move at Izuku and that is when everything went black for teen.

"AAHH!" Next thing Izuku knows he is screaming his life out in the classroom full of students who are looking at him like he is crazy.

"Mr. Kayama!" Izuku turned his head to the teacher, he looked around and saw everyone looking at him like he was an absolute weirdo.

"Do you have something to share with the class Izuku?" Izuku shook his head and put his head in hands as he calmed down from the nightmare. That was the second one today, the first happened earlier in the morning. Another nightmare that had involved him.

"Very well, as I was saying before I was rudely interrupted. You all have homework tonight in today's class. Those that believe that becoming a hero requires brawn and brute strength will not end up very far, class dismissed." The teacher dismissed the class and almost everyone started to make their way to the doors, the only ones that didn't were Izuku and Katsuki. The students that were leaving started whispering about Izuku as they left. He heard them of course with his exceptional hearing, it was nothing new.

"Such a weirdo."

"Crazy."

"I hear him talking to himself sometimes."

"He would be a total dream guy if he wasn't so crazy." Those were things being said about him, it didn't bother him for it was all true. He was weird and he might be crazy.

The day he arrived at his school he tried to blend in, but it did not work. Sleep terrors and talking to oneself tends to ward away potential friends. So with that Izuku has decided to navigate high-school alone. Izuku got up from his seat and rubbed a hand through his hair. He needed to get some air, doing that will help clear his head. As he made his way to the door his path was blocked by Katsuki Bakugo, an old friend of his.

Old friend being the only title that Izuku can give him, things changed when Izuku got kidnapped. Izuku and Katsuki's mother were good friends, the sons played together at the park when they were kids and even talked about being heroes. That all changed when Inko died and Izuku became Archangel. Izuku didn't tell Katsuki the whole truth, all he knows is that he disappeared for years and came back with Nemuri.

Katsuki is not an idiot, a loud mouth yes, but he wasn't stupid. Izuku figures that the ash-blonde teen has his own theories on what happened to him. Still even with those theories Izuku will not tell Katsuki about his darker half or about Project X. The less people that know, the better.

"What was that about?" Katsuki got straight to the point starting with Izuku's loud scream that caught all of them off guard. Izukiu just shook his head, ignoring the question he decided to push through the explosive teen.

Katsuki however was not to let Izuku go that easily and put up his hand with his palm facing his former friend. Izuku knew what that meant and gave Katsuki a look that basically told him that he better think twice about his next move. Katsuki's quirk explosion is powerful, but Izuku is not a weakling.

"Katsuki, let me pass now." Izuku flexed his wings and spread them out in their full length while Katsuki looked Izuku dead in his eyes. Neither side moved, but after some time Izuku sighed. He was not in the mood for a fight, so he decided to turn and leave. Katsuki could block his path, but that was not the only path for a person who can fly.

"Where are you going?"

"Away from here." Izuku told him simply as he opened the window and jumped out of it, taking to the sky. Katsuki looked at the fleeing teen with a look of concern on his face, he grabbed his phone and texted someone that hoped could help his childhood friend.

Izuku now was flying in the air, clearing his mind and trying to forget the near altercation with Katsuki. The teen going as far away from the school as he could, the images still plagued his mind as well as the voice that caused the images.

"Losing more and more control, it's only a matter of time before I take control." Izuku's face turned into one of anger, he grabbed him with both his hands and screamed aloud letting all of his emotions out.

"SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP! SHUT THE FUCK UP" Izuku screamed, knowing that there was no one there. That the voice causing him so much pain was not physically there, but he did not have to be right next to him to cause him torture. Izuku's chest was heaving from the outburst and as he calmed down he removed his hands from the side of his head. His outburst seemed to quiet the voice down, but it brought upon visitors that Izuku did expect to see.

While recovering from the outburst Izuku sensed someone behind him, he quickly turned around and swung his right angelic wing at the mysterious person only to widen his eyes when he saw who it was.

Behind Izuku was a familiar looking man with short blonde hair and red wings on his back. Izuku could easily recognize his face for it everywhere on every television screen, every cereal box, hell even on comic books. Hawks was behind the teen with his hands raised up in a surrendering manner and the teen's angelic wing on his jugular. The white feathery tip was sharp enough to pierce his skin if Izuku put enough pressure on it.

"Easy little bro," Hawks tried to calm him down and Izuku realized what he was about to do and removed his wing. Izuku looked at his hands and saw them shaking, he was close to killing someone.

It just shows how he is getting closer and closer to losing it. Hawks saw the teen's reaction and grabbed his shoulder, seeing that he was still not paying attention Hawks snapped his finger at him and that got Izuku to wake up and stare at the red winged hero.

"Hey, let's come down from up here and relax." Hawks offered with a calm and smile, Izuku nodded his head and took him up on the offer. Both of the winged men came down from the sky and landed on a nearby rooftop where they could talk.

When they landed Hawks saw that the teen was looking away from him, in fact Izuku rather be anywhere but here. But he knew what he did was wrong and he was close to killing not just a hero, but a top hero. How the hell would he explain that to Nemuri.

"I'm sorry…about earlier." Izuku apologized while rubbing his head, Hawks easily accepted it and was not affected by the action by the teen at all.

"Eh, don't worry. Not the first time that someone has tried to kill me." Hawks smiled trying to make light of the situation, but Izuku did not see any humor in it. Especially when this was the second time that he tried to kill him.

"Well, anyway, goodbye." Izuku was going to end the conversation there, but Hawks did not want that to happen. He could see that the teen was trying to get out and he could let that happen especially with what he just witnessed.

"Hey, hold up." Izuku stopped when heard Hawks' voice, he didn't know why, but he just stopped.

"Is everything alright, I heard you yelling at someone. I must be crazy because there was no one there." Izuku could see that Hawks was calling him out and he didn't bother trying to hide it, his facial reaction told the entire story.

"Yeah, crazy." Izuku tried to lie, but failed terribly and Hawks genuinely looked concerned now.

"Is everything alright, Izuku?" Izuku nodded his head, but still Hawks didn't believe it.

"Ok, then explain who you were yelling at. Look I'm not your mom or anything, whatever you say I promise will stay between us." Izuku sucked his teeth and rolled his eyes.

"So, what you're my shrink now. Trust me I don't need one of those." Hawks did say anything to that comment, but if he did he would have said that the teen was wrong. Izuku desperately needed help, the sad thing is Izuku doesn't believe that all.

"No, not shrink. Think of me as a big brother who is just concerned about his little brother." Izuku turned his head to the side, but he had to fully look at Hawks. The winged hero had his hands in his pockets as he watched the teen with close eyes.

"And what makes you think that we are brothers?" Izuku asked curiously and Hawks walked up next to him and patted him on the back.

"Come on, Zu. We have the same powers, same moves, wings, and we are both good looking dudes." That last part actually got Izuku to smile and let out a chuckle and seeing that reaction made Hawks smile.

"Guess I can't really argue with that."

"No, no you can't. Now, are you going to tell me what's up with shouting at the sky." Izuku thought about it, and decided to tell him, but not the whole truth. He still doesn't know if he can trust Hawks all the way. When he was done Hawks got the complete understanding of what was happening to the kid.

"Nightmares, huh. Are they about things you have done in the past?" The hero asked as both winged men sat on the edge of the roof overlooking that city.

"Sometimes, yeah. Other times they are images from…that day." And there are other times where Izuku see's him, but he did not tell Hawks that. No, that will stay private with him.

"The day you were kidnapped." Izuku nodded his head and Hawks just remained silent. Yeah, he could easily see that the kid was going through major PTSD. It was easily seen and recognizable, and if he could see then Midnight must know the same thing that he knows.

"Have you talked to anyone, but me about this?" Izuku shook his head at the question.

"I"m a private individual and like to keep things to myself. I will try to solve them on my own"

"I can respect that, I'm the same." Hawks told him honestly and he was not lying, he does prefer to keep things to himself especially when it comes to his past. The public and the other heroes in the community think they know him, but the truth is they don't know anything. A moment of silence was shared by the two and it was not long before Izuku broke it and asked Hawks a question.

"Hey, Hawks. Do you think that I can be a hero?" Hawks could hear the uncertainty in Izuku's questions. He can understand why, especially after the young man has gone through.

"I think so. I mean it's not going to be easy of course, there a bunch things you to-"

"That's not what I meant. I did a lot of bad things I'm not proud of and then there is…" Izuku was going to finish the sentence by telling Hawks about his other half that is a part of him, but stopped. He didn't want anyone to know about that just yet.

"What is it?" Hawks gently asked, he was not trying to force it out of him. If he did that then the kid would not open up to him at all. Izuku was about to say it, he was going to tell him about Archangel, but stopped when he saw smoke in the sky.

"What the hell is that?" Hawks turned to his head to the direction of the smoke and saw the black clouds fill the sky.

"Looks like there is trouble, come on." Izuku did a double take when he heard that. Hawks wanted him to come along.

"Wait me?"

"Yeah, don't worry I'll just tell them that you are my apprentice. Now come on!" Hawks took off into the air and left Izuku behind, but the teen soon did the same. Both the winged heroes started flying to the location of the smoke. Izuku was nervous, his face told the entire story. He had been in action before, but it was always with his brothers, never before has he worked with a hero.

"Don't worry, just relax and follow my lead."

"I'm fine." Hawks smiled, he could see that the teen was trying to hide his nerves, he wondered if he liked that when he was his age.

"You'll be fine. I saw you in a fight, you can handle yourself just fine. Just follow my lead." Izuku nodded his head ignoring the fact that Hawks mentioned that he fought Archangel, which is not him. When he and Hawks arrived at the location of the smoke. There was a fire, a big one that was burning down an apartment complex. Hawks used his goggles to see that there were people still inside, he counted at fifteen, sixteen including the pet dog.

"Izuku, we need to get inside the building and rescue those people. I'll take the bottom floor, you take the top. Here take this." Hawks tossed Izuku something out of his pocket, when the teen caught it he saw that it was a small communicator. He used them before whenever he worked with his brothers. Izuku quickly put it in his ear and followed Hawks lead.

Izuku dove into the fire ignoring the heat and landed on the floor, he looked around and saw that the building was burning. It wouldn't be long before things got real bad. He needed to hurry, the teen fired feathers out from his wings and have them go off in separate directions, all of them searched the various rooms in the complex

"Kid, how are you doing?"

"Working!" Izuku yelled back as he felt that his feathers had found people, he began to control them with his mind and get them to safety, but he was not the only one. Hawks were doing the same thing. The individuals trapped in the flames soon felt themselves be lifted up by red and white feathers, and it was not long before they were escorted to safety from the flames. Those outside so the feathers carried the people trapped in the flames and landed them gently on the ground.

"Doing good kid, just a couple more and we should be good." Izuku smiled when he heard those words, he smiled because he was doing good. This was him doing it, not Archangel. He could be a hero, it's possible to move on from the…'No.' The word entered his mind when he saw him. Stepping through the fires like he was one with it, he saw his cold metallic wings, his slitted eyes, there he was again. Archangel stood right in front of Izuku making the teen eyes widen in horror.

"Missed me?" Izuku was panicking, he was having a freaking panic attack and because of this distraction he didn't hear Hawks screaming into his ear.

"IZUKU! IZUKU! IZUKU!" Izuku shook his head and realized that Archangel was now gone and he was still trapped in the fire.

"Huh, what?"

"Get out of there now!" Hawks screamed and Izuku saw that the pieces of the roof were coming down, he needed to leave quickly. Izuku turned to leave, but stopped when he heard a cry for help, he looked and saw the dog trapped. Izuku knew that he could not leave, he needed to rescue the animal and so he did. He turned around and got the dog where he lifted the debris that it was trapped under.

He grabbed the dog and then bolted to the window, when he neared it he jumped out of it and spread his wings allowing to fly. Everyone saw the teen that had angelic wings come out of the burning building, as he lowered himself on the ground they saw that he had something in his hands.

Izuku held the dog and laid him down. His leg was injured, but it looked like it could be healed. Izuku soon saw a family with a little girl with pink hair walk over to the dog, she picked him up and hugged him tightly. Izuku could see that this dog was theirs and from the looks of it he did the right thing going back. Soon the sound of clapping pierced his ears, he looked around and saw that everyone was clapping for him. Hawks who were outside already smiled and patted him on the back. Izuku looked around and smiled as well, taking it all in.

Few Minutes Later

"You know you asked me earlier if you could become a hero." Hawks and Izuku were back on top of the building, both of them watching the fires be put out by the firefighters that had arrived. Both of them were sitting on the edge of the building under the night sky as Izuku listened to what Hawks had to say.

"And I think you answered your own question."

"I guess I did." Izuku said, the applause felt amazing and doing something heroic felt good as well, but somewhere in the back of his mind he still felt him. He knows that he is still there.

"Listen, I have to go, but I want to leave you with something. My phone number, if you ever need help or ever want to talk, just give me a call." Izuku nodded his head as Hawks gave him his phone number, when he was done the older hero got up and mocked and saluted Izuku goodbye.

"See you in the sky little bro." Hawks took off into the heavens after the goodbye leaving the teen in the building. Being called brother by Hawks didn't feel so weird, but he still preferred that he heard that word from his true siblings, none more than Laura. He cares for them all, but Laura has a special place in his heart. Izuku looked up at the full moon that brightened the night sky.

'Maybe I can be a hero.'

"Don't hold your breath." Izuku closed his eyes and turned his head to see none other than himself, same clothes, same face, but the only difference was the wings. The trademark metal wings are easily seen that belonged to Archangel. He was sitting next to him on the roof, but for once it did seem like he here to bother him.

"I can move on from you." Izuku told him and the Archangel just smiled and laughed at his own face.

"No you can't, you will never be able to move on. Do yourself a favor and let me take control so I can put an end to all of this." Izuku ignored him and with that Archangel disappeared from his spot, but he would be back. He will always be back.

Chapter 4: The Exams

Author Note: There is your third chapter. I wanted to explore the dynamic between AA and Izuku, obviously you can see that the relationship is not healthy. AA wants control for he thinks that Izuku is not strong enough to get the job done, but there is more. What that more is I cannot tell you. Izuku doesn't want control for obvious reasons as well. This struggle for control will play a part when they fight in battles.

I wanted Hawks to be Izuku's All Might, I wanted to have that mentorship/ big brother role to Izuku and Fumikage. I think it will be a interesting dynamic since Hawks was there when Izuku was freed and he is basically like him. So be on the look out for those interactions. Now next chapter we will hit the Exams and then we will have Izuku's first day.
