Coven Fairy
"He'd really be willing to use the Thunder Palace for taking the title of Guild Master?" Grey asked.
"That sick bastard." Elfman said.
"It's worse then that." Kali said. "His anger towards me has changed. I noticed it, during the last beating I took, you were there Ed."
"You mean, the beating you took before we went on that job?" Ed asked.
"How was this different then the others?" Grey inquired.
"It felt less restrained, and more enraged." Kali said. "I think, he started the coup after everything that went down with Phantom Lord. He feels those of us in the Guild right now are weak, and that we're destroying the Guild from the inside."
"Then I guess we don't really have any time to lose." Makarov said.
"Uh guys." King said. "Something's going on with the door."
The others turned to the door to the guild and saw he red barrier that was there.
"Freed must have used his magic to put it up." Kali said.
"It's not done yet." Em stated.
Slowly, the letters of the barrier began to fly into the building, and took on the shape of a skull.
"What is that thing?" King asked, running behind Kali.
"Can you hear me old man, Parasite?" Laxus's voice echoed as he asked. "The rest of you better listen up too."
"Parasite?" Amity asked.
"He's referring to me." Kali said, getting to her feet, and clutching her side in pain.
"What do you want?" Natsu asked.
"Looks like one of the rules has gone out the window. I don't know how you were able to undo Evergreen's spell without defeating her, but that's not gonna save you this time." Laxus said. "It's fine though, with the old rule out the window, I'll just add a new one. In other words, since I would hate the end the battle of Fairy Tail, before it even begins, I've decided to activate the Thunder Palace."
"He really is gonna do it. Are you out of your mind Laxus?" Makarov asked.
"You have one hour and ten minutes. If you think you can defeat me, then get moving." Laxus said. "Unless you're ready to hand the guild over to me now, Master." He sarcastically said, as he began to laugh with the skull dispersing.
"What's the Thunder Palace?" King asked.
"A spell of Laxus's own creation." Kali said. "It's power, is on par with that of Phantom Lords Jupiter Canon. If he activates it over Magnolia…"
"Then nothing but ashes will remain of the city, and its people." Grey tsked.
"We have to stop him." Amity said.
"But how?" Luz asked.
"Luz." Kali said, the quill in hand. "I've recharged the Quill. Heal my injuries, and change the elements of my magic."
"But, what are you gonna do?" Luz asked, taking the Quill.
"I'm gonna end this with Laxus. Once and for all." Kali hissed, before Luz encased her in a bubble again.
"What do you mean, you're gonna end this?" Erza asked.
"Laxus, is my brother. It's my responsibility to end this nightmare, and stop him from turning the town to ashes." Kali said, as her injuries slowly healed, one by one.
"Hold still, I'm almost done." Luz said, before pausing momentarily.
"What's wrong Luz?" Amity asked.
"N-nothing." Luz said. "Kali, what element were you wanting me to change your magic too?"
"Etherion." Kali stated.
"Well… it's done." Luz said, popping the bubble, and letting Kali land on her feet. "I also increased your magic reserves, and your stamina. So you should be able to fight longer."
"Now the only question is, where are we gonna find him?" Ed asked.
"Not we, me." Kali said. "I have to face him alone."
"But Kali, the last time you faced him…"
"The last time I faced him, I was scared, and he wasn't holding the entire town hostage." Kali said. "I don't feel fear right now. All I feel, is pissed."
"Do you even know where to find him?"
"I have some ideas. But one sticks out the most to me, so I'll start from there." Kali said.
"Kali wait." Makarov said, getting in her way. "I want you to have this."
Reaching into his cloak, Makarov pulled out a pendant in the shape of the Fairy Tail Guild Emblem.
"What is this?" Kali asked.
"It was given to me by Master Precht, the Guild Master before me." Makarov said. "I intended on making it a right of passage, that the current Guild Master, will give this pendant to their chosen successor."
"W-wait hold up. You're not serious, are you?" Kali asked.
"I am." Makarov said. "Kali, my beautiful Granddaughter, you look so much like your grandmother when she was younger. It would do this old man proud, if you accepted the role of my successor."
"Gramps, I can't. I…"
"You're not a murderer Kali." Ed stated.
"Should something happen to me, you shall take on the mantle of Guild Master. I'm counting on you to lead this Guild into prosperity, once I retire." Makarov stated.
Kali looked at him, before back at the pendant in her hand. With a sigh, Kali put the pendant on the same chain as the heart pendant Saphira left her, on her hip, signifying she accepted the role, and would take over once Makarov retired.
"I'll do my best, Gramps." Kali said.
"The PA system is enchanted to allow only Gramps to turn it on, to announce who his successor will be, or if he's passing the Guild on. I'm sure Laxus will be pissed when he sees the pendant, and hears the announcement." Grey smirked.
"I'm gonna get going now. If the Thunder Palace is already in the air, then I don't want anyone to touch the lacrima. Who knows what kinds of tricks Laxus put on them to deter someone from destroying them." Kali said.
"Now, get going and save this town." Makarov said. "I will make the announcement when I'm sure that you're winning."
"I'll be back, and I'll stop Laxus, you have my word." Kali stated as she marched out of there. "But first, I'm gonna need a bit of supplies from my armory."
Taking her portal blade, Kali opened a rift to her workshop behind the Owl House. Entering the secret room in the cabin, Kali showed she was determined to make this right.
~Cardia Cathedral~
Things were not looking good for Laxus. He'd intended to take the title of Guild Master by force, and have Makarov hand it over to him in exchange for the lives of those Evergreen petrified, all the while getting rid of his parasitic sister once and for all. But Bickslow proved he was incompetent of a task as simple as that, and it was about time that Laxus got to the bottom of why he'd been pulling his punches on Kali.
"Laxus."
"Speak of the devil." Laxus said, looking up to see Bickslow in front of him. "Bickslow, we need to talk."
"Yeah we do." The masked man said, in his less then cheery attitude. "You can count me out of the Thunder Legion. I quit."
"Excuse me?" Laxus asked.
"I've played along, because the Thunder Legion was the most feared team in the Guild. But I draw the line, at holding an entire town hostage, just to get the title of Guild Master, and I'm certainly not sorry, I allowed Kali to escape death." Bickslow said.
"See, I was just about to ask you about that." Laxus said, getting to his feet. "But now I see, you've been holding back against her, and you've been pulling your punches. Why?"
"Because she's not to blame for the death of your mother." Bickslow stated. "Death in child birth is natural, whether it's the mother or a stillborn infant, it happens. Kali's not to blame for her demise, and I don't believe a single word of the nonsense your father spouted, when he was still a member of the guild."
"So, you're taking her side?" Laxus asked.
"I've done more then take her side." Bickslow said. "I used one of my babies to remove Freed's enchantment on the PA System at the guild. An' I know something that you don't, a decision that Master Makarov made after your little announcement about the Thunder Palace."
"An' that would be?"
"You're never gonna become the next Guild Master." Bickslow exclaimed. "That honor, has rightfully been given to Kali, and she's coming here, ready to take you down."
"I'd like to see that weakling try." Laxus growled, a vein bulging on his forehead.
"You'll get to see sooner then you think." Kali's voice came from behind him.
Laxus quickly turned around, before he was sent flying from a fire infused kick, that sent him flying over Bickslow, as the masked man ducked, and slammed into one of the support pillars, before sliding to the ground.
Picking himself up, Laxus looked at Kali, and growled, unphased by what she now wore.
Instead of her normal clothing, Kali had taken a page out of Erza's book, and made herself some armor. The armor itself, didn't look all that impressive, at first. It looked like it was made of fabric, consisting of a black corset that curved in the middle at the bottom, under a black and red cropped hooded jacket, with fingerless armored gloves, and a pair of black and red trimmed skinny jeans, finished off with a pair of combat heels, and her hair tied back into a ponytail.
"Decide to make yourself look nice for your funeral?" Laxus asked. "Saves the coroner some trouble."
"This is armor, Laxus. Armor, I made myself, not that you would know what I'm capable of, since you're too selfish and egotistical to actually care about what I do." Kali stated.
"You call that weak looking fabric armor?" Laxus laughed. "I'll burn it away and show you how pathetic you really are."
Shooting a lightning bolt at her, Laxus smirked as the resulting cloud of dust was immense, but his eyes widened, when he saw there wasn't even a scratch on the clothing.
"This armor might look like normal fabric, but it's not." Kali stated, uncrossing her arms. "The thread is made from Palistrom Wood. Took a lot out of Araña to make enough thread that would harden into a material that's harder and stronger then Celesta Steel to comprise this suit, but once it was complete I allowed it to set, and that's when the indestructibility came into play."
"Damn brat. Just because you got a fancy suit now, doesn't mean you're powerful enough to defeat me." Laxus said, charging at her.
"Bickslow, go let the others know what's going on." Kali called out, jumping out of the way of Laxus's attack.
"Right." Bickslow said, running out of the Cathedral.
"My attire isn't the only thing that's changed about me, brother." Kali growled, her eyes glowing clay brown momentarily. "Earth Dragon: SLEDGE HAMMER." She called out, thrusting her fist upwards, resulting in a pillar of stone piercing the ground, and slamming into Laxus as he reached out to grab her.
Slamming into the ceiling of the Cathedral, Laxus's eyes landed on Kali as she came flying up towards him, with wind magic propelling her up, and slammed her knee into his chest, before grabbing him by the shoulders and throwing him to the ground bellow, his impact with the ground building up a cloud of dust.
"How? How are you this… pathetically weak?" Laxus questioned, picking himself up with a laugh.
"You're not even scratched." Kali gasped.
"I'll admit, you did have me worried there for a second, when you used elements that weren't your own. But then I remembered you have your Wild Magic." Laxus said. "So let me show you, what real power looks like, from a true Dragon."
~Fairy Tail Guildhall~
"Hey Luz, can we talk?" Amity asked, Sapphire in her arms, sitting across from the human as she was doodling, with King by her side.
"What's up Amity?"
"It's just… changing Kali's magic, after healing her injuries. Do you think that was the right thing to do?" Amity asked.
"To be honest… I didn't change her magic." Luz said.
"What?"
"When I opened up her magic, I did increase the reserves, and her stamina but… I didn't touch her actual magic. She already had Etherion listed as her element." Luz stated.
"What does that mean?" King asked.
"Amity, you remember the story Kali told the courts, when Org had accused her of treason?" Luz asked.
"I remember."
"I don't know if Kali ever told you this, but there are several ways a Dragonslayer obtains their magic."
"Ed filled me in on that. But… wait are you saying some of Acnologia's blood might have…"
"Gotten into Kali's wounds the day Saphira died, when she injured him? Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying." Luz said. "It's the only thing that makes a lick of sense as to why her magic would be Etherion."
"So that would mean Kali's magic had been replaced with Acnologia's that day."
"There's no doubt about it." King said.
"Hey, everyone." Bickslow said, as he came running into the Guildhall. "I know, I'm not really popular right now, but Kali is kicking Laxus's ass at Cardia Cathedral."
"What?"
"Who's winning?" Natsu asked.
"Last I saw when I ran out of there, Kali was actually holding her own against Laxus." Bickslow said.
"Kali's fighting to protect the town, so it would make sense she'd ignore the barriers she put on her own power when facing off against her brother." Makarov said. "I shall go make the announcement now."
"Kali's fighting, and it's her own brother. I have to go and support her." King managed to say, slipping down from the table and heading for the door. "If I remember correctly from the map Kali showed me, Cardia Cathedral is in the center of town. Weh I'm coming Kali."
~Cardia Cathedral~
"What's wrong Kali?" Laxus questioned, slamming Kali on the ground. "Feeling tired already?" He asked, throwing her into the air, before slamming her back down on the ground. "Why don't you summon your little Palisman, what did you say her name was, Sapphire? I'm sure you'd love to see me tear her in two."
"No. You will not… touch her, and her babies."
"Babies?" Laxus laughed. "You're kidding me right? That hunk of wood is incapable of reproduction. What, did a bee pollinate in her or something?"
"The entire purpose of this armor, was to keep Sapphire safe… and to keep her from taking on any of the formations that change her physicality." Kali coughed, spitting up blood.
"Seems like it's a double edge blade, as the armor doesn't absorb impacts, it just makes them worse." Laxus stated, stomping on Kali's stomach. "Now, what should I do with you NEXT?" He asked, kicking Kali like a soccer ball, through one of the support pillars, and into a wall.
Forcing herself to her hands and knees, Kali coughed up more blood, and spit out a tooth had had been knocked loose.
"You know what, maybe I will keep you around my Fairy Tail." Laxus said, making his way to her. "Use you as stress relief for those under my employ who need the release some tension."
"You bastard." Kali groaned. "You'd subject your own sister to being no more then a plaything for horny perverts?"
"You are not my sister." Laxus stated. "You're just a parasite, a parasite that killed my mother. Who knows, maybe you'll be lucky enough to have a few parasites of your own."
"Kali." The teens eyes widened when she heard that voice call her name, and turned her head to see King, having forced the doors open, and running to her.
"Kali, what happened?" King asked.
"King, run get out of here." Kali coughed.
"You." King said, turning to look at Laxus. "As King of Demons, I order you to stop this at once." He said, standing in front of Kali.
"No King, don't." Kali pleaded.
"Oh, a thousand pardons your majesty." Laxus said mockingly. "Please, allow me to show you the door." He stated, kicking King like a football, and sending him to the other side of the room, into one of the support pillars.
Kali's eyes widened, as she watched in slow motion as King began falling to the ground. A fall from that height, for someone as small as him, would surely end his life.
"Now then, where were…"
Laxus stopped, when a gust of wind blew him back, pushing him a couple feet away. Looking to the ground his eyes widened when he saw Kali was no longer there. Looking to where he'd kicked King, he saw Kali in the air as she caught him, before landing on the ground, and cradling the little fur ball in her arms as he was unconscious.
"You know what." Kali began as she set King down behind the pillar. "I can take a lot of things. I can handle being abused by my own family, I can handle the town disliking me, even if it's for something I have zero control over."
Laxus watched in curiosity as Kali turned back to glare at him, and removed her jacket, revealing the corset was backless.
"Here's another thing, you probably don't know about me." Kali said, throwing her jacket to the side.
When the jacket landed on the ground however, it caused a crater to form in the floor, big enough to make into a small pond.
"All my clothes are weighted, to keep my power limited when I go on jobs."
With lightning flashing around her, Kali charged at Laxus and appeared right under his line of sight. She moved too fast for him to dodge or block this strike, evident by how he was sent flying through the air, with an uppercut from Kali, and landed at the podium of the Cathedral, smashing it to pieces.
"The hell?" Laxus questioned, groaning as he picked himself up. "What the hell did you do to yourself Parasite?"
"I made myself stronger." Kali's voice came from above, shocking Laxus as she moved faster then expected, before slamming her foot down on his head with a fire infused axe kick. "I made myself powerful." She said, grabbing Laxus by the arm, and throwing him to the doors of the cathedral. "But most of all, I made a life for myself on the Boiling Isles. I have a family who loves me, friends who care care about me, and I'd do anything to keep them safe, and away from harm." She stated, appearing behind him, faster then she'd ever felt herself move before. "Because they are precious to me." She exclaimed, slamming her elbow into his back, causing it to crack, before she used her Oracle Magic to enter his mind, and forced him to destroy the Thunder Palace.
Landing on the ground with a heavy thud, Laxus in his hypnotized state, stood back up and destroyed his weapon, before Kali undid the spell, and freed his mind. Shaking his head in confusion, Laxus looked to Kali, before looking at himself.
"What did you make me do?" He asked, before swinging at her. "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU JUST MAKE ME DO?"
"I simply had you destroy the Thunder Palace." Kali stated, deflecting his arm, and throwing him over her shoulder.
"No." Laxus hissed.
"I know that weapon better then anyone, since you force me to make it for you." Kali said, flipping him over, and pulling on his arm as she stepped on his back. "Once the lacrima in those spheres have been destroyed, the Thunder Palace is rendered useless. You cannot use it to threaten this town again."
"You little brat."
"Face it Laxus, you've lost."
"Not so fast."
Kali looked to the side, and her eyes widened to see Freed holding the unconscious King, with a blade to his throat.
"Remove yourself from Laxus at once. Or this little creature you seem to care so much for, dies." Freed stated.
"You asshole." Kali growled, scales forming on her cheeks and shoulders. "He's only a child. He's only eight."
"Then I suggest you do as he says, unless you wanna see his short life, end right now." Evergreen stated, going to Kali's jacket.
Kali just glared at Freed as he seemed serious about his threat; however, before Kali could let him go, a laser shot out from nowhere, and hit Freed in the chest, forcing him to drop King, before the little demon was caught by three flying dolls, and flew him to safety.
"So, you decide to show yourself at last, you traitor." Freed said, as Bickslow stepped up. "How'd you manage to sneak past us when the door's right behind us?"
"Snuck in through a window." Bickslow said. "I saw what you were doing, using this poor kid as a hostage, and threatening to kill him." He stated, as King was taken away. "We weren't about to let that happen."
"We?" Evergreen asked, having given up on trying to take Kali's jacket for herself.
"Fire Dragon: IRON FIST." Natsu shouted, hitting Freed from the side, slamming his fist into the green haired man's face, and sending him into another support pillar, creating a cloud of dust.
"Heaven's Wheel." Erza called out, appearing in front of Evergreen with her blades.
"What the hell kind of monster, uses a child as a hostage by threatening to kill him?" Natsu questioned.
"Natsu, Erza?" Kali asked.
"Hey Kali. I know you said to stay at the guild, but when Luz and Amity pointed out King had gone missing I tracked his scent with Erza as back up. Bickslow came too. Guess he's not such a bad guy after all." Natsu smirked.
"Out of everyone in the Thunder Legion, I disapproved of what Laxus was doing to you." Bickslow said. "I know I have a lot to atone for. But I'm hoping you can eventually forgive me, at the very least."
"Saving King, is a good start." Kali said, letting go of Laxus and kicking him towards Freed and Evergreen. "Where are your dolls taking him?"
"Back to the Guildhall. Sorry but I can't join you in this fight." Bickslow said. "Not only am I short a few of my babies, but Freed, Evergreen, and even Laxus are too familiar with my fighting tactics. I'll be nothing more then a liability to you guys."
"People of Magnolia." Makarov's voice echoed through the air. "I bid you all a Happy Harvest Festival. In times of this celebration, I come with happy news. I have chosen the successor who shall take my place, after I have retired."
"Here it comes." Freed said.
"Don't get your hopes up you bastard." Natsu stated.
"From this day forward, my granddaughter, Kali Dryer Clawthorne, shall take my place as Guild Master when I officially step down." Makarov continued. "Treat her well, and treat her with the same dignity and respect you would me."
With the announcement over with, Laxus just clenched his fists tightly, causing his knuckles to pop, as electricity crackled around him.
"You guys sure you're gonna be okay?" Bickslow asked. "After that announcement, this won't be an easy fight."
(Cue Music… Get Jinxed: League of Legends)
"It's fine." Kali said, cracking her knuckles and neck, as she stepped up, standing between Natsu and Erza. "We got this from here."
"You're gonna die here. Like you should have, alongside my mother." Laxus glared.
"Natsu, Erza. Head's up, Laxus is a Second Gen Dragonslayer."
"What's that mean?" Natsu asked.
"It means he got his magic from a Dragonslayer Lacrima fusing with his very soul." Kali said, removing her gloves and boots. "His element is lightning, as you could probably guess. So leave him to me."
"I'll handle Freed."
"That leaves Evergreen to me." Erza stated.
"Then let's rumble." Kali smirked, tossing her gloves and boots away, resulting in two more craters, bigger then the one her jacket made.
Charging at each other, Kali and Laxus took the leads on the attack. Their fists collided with one another, creating a shockwave of power that sent the both of them flying back, with Laxus going further then Kali. Regaining his footing, Laxus's eyes widened when Kali was right in his face again, and hit him with a double palm strike to the chest, sending him crashing through the doors of the Cathedral, and tumbling out into the open air.
'Gotta make this fast. Sapphire's still at the Guildhall, and the curse is draining my magic, faster then I can use it.' Kali thought as she marched out, more scales spreading all over her arms and face.
"You're dead meat Parasite." Laxus growled. "You'll die here."
Picking himself up as a crowd began to gather, Laxus growled and glared at Kali, before he went charging at her, and she did the same. In a flash of lightning, both siblings were in each other's spaces, and hit the other with their own attack.
"Lightning/Flame Dragon: HALBERD." Kali cried out, hitting Laxus with a diagonal kick to the shoulder from above.
"Lightning Dragon: HAMMER." Laxus shouted, hitting Kali in the gut with a strong punch.
Bracing her feet on the ground, the force of the blow traveled through her, and destroyed the cobblestone bellow her, and caused it to move like a wave, before Kali grabbed his arm, and pulled Laxus into an arm lock, knocking him to the ground with her weight, and a kick to the face.
(End Song…)
"Why do this Laxus? Why try and force gramps to give you the Title of Guild Master?" Kali questioned, pulling tight on his arm.
"Because it's the only way, for Fairy Tail to remain strong. This battle royal, was to prove who deserved to stay, and who would be weaseled out." Laxus growled. "Nothing a parasite like you would know about."
"You wanna talk real strength Laxus?" Kali asked, pulling harder, and dislocating his shoulder, before she got up and slammed her foot on his chest. "I dealt with you and Ivan tearing me apart, piece by piece day in and day out, for as long as I can remember. I was dissected, and treated as nothing more then a fucking lab animal by the two of you. An' now here, you are trying to prove who's the strongest in the guild. Well guess what Laxus. I'm the strongest, because despite every damn thing you and Ivan did to me, I never lost hope. I never lost sight of who I was. I maintained my smile, and forced myself to be happy, all so Gramps wouldn't hate Ivan, his only son." She stated, tears falling down her face, as Laxus picked himself up, holding his arm. "You only know, how to hate and abuse me, because Ivan taught you to to do that. You're my brother, and I'm your sister. It's normal for siblings to fight, but this is going too far. You held the entire town hostage, with your Thunder Palace, just to get Gramps's title. You only want the power, because it makes you feel invincible."
"I am, invincible." Laxus stated. "An' you're nothing but a damned parasite, who killed my mother."
"Our mother." Kali stated. "An' I didn't kill her. In fact she told me this herself."
"What?"
"I spoke with her." Kali said. "When the Tower of Heaven exploded, when I redirected the energy into the atmosphere to prevent half the continent from being destroyed, I died. I died and I met our mother. She told me herself that I wasn't to blame. An' she's disappointed in you, for following in our fathers beliefs. Ivan always told you, she'd be proud of you for avenging her death, by hurting me. But I'm telling you, as someone who spoke with her, that she's not."
"Where's your proof of this?" Laxus asked.
"Right here." Kali said, holding up her arm, and showing the bracelet she made with the gem her mother gave her. "Mother gave me this, gem, and I think I know what it's supposed to do now."
Tapping the gem, a magical light began to flow from it, before constructing into the form of their mother, Iris Dryer.
"Laxus, if you're watching this, then it means Kali convinced you to hear her out, and managed to charge the gem." Iris's recording said. "You've been following your fathers lead for so long, and have accomplished so much during your time as a member of your grandfathers guild, but I cannot say that I am proud of you."
"Mom?" Laxus asked.
"For how could I be proud, of a son who abuses, and tortures his sister on a daily basis?" Iris asked. "I know that the blame does not rest squarely on your shoulders. Your father lead you down this path, and has turned you against your own family. For that the blame mostly lies upon him. However, you are not blameless yourself."
"No, mother I…"
"Until you've made amends for your wrongdoings, until Kali has truly forgiven you for what you've done to her, I cannot forgive you for hurting your sister, my daughter." Iris continued. "Nor can I say, I'm proud of you. So please, take heart in knowing, there will come a day when I can say that I am proud, but that day cannot be today. It will be up to you, to decide when that day comes. Goodbye, my son."
Laxus just stared in shock, as the message from Iris ended, and Kali's gem returned to the ruby it had been before the incident with the Wailing Star.
"It's over Laxus." Kali said, as her brother fell to his knees, and he began balling. "I've won this fight."
~Afterwards~
"Doing okay over here Kali?" Luz asked.
"Doing fine. As fine as can be for someone who just found out her grandpa had a heart attack as he was making the announcement of his succession." Kali said, guzzling down a drink, while Sapphire nuzzled against her comfortingly.
"You're not supposed to be drinking you know." Luz said.
"Fiore has no real drinking age limit. It's frowned upon for anyone under the age of twelve, but other then that, I'm well within the law." Kali said. "Not that it's doing much good, since my internal body temp burns away any alcohol before I can get buzzed."
"I know it's rough, and the Fantasia Parade's been postponed until tomorrow so, I guess we're gonna be staying a day extra, huh?" Luz asked.
"No." Kali said. "After all that's happened, we're going home after we find out Laxus's punishment. I just hope King is doing better."
"I'm doing fine Kali."
Kali looked down to see King on the ground, and bandages on his head.
"King." Kali gasped, crying as she pulled him in for a hug.
"Hey, unhand the King of Demons." King said, sounding not so serious about it.
"Oh I'm so sorry I wasn't able to protect you King." Kali said, hugging him.
"It's fine. Look I'm okay." King said. "I'm able to go home now as well."
"I'm glad, but we still have a bit of business we need to finish here, before we can go." Kali said. "Gramps is probably still talking with Laxus."
"Kali."
"Speak of the devil." Kali said, turning around to look at Laxus. "What's up?"
"I've been exiled from the Guild. So I gotta leave now, before things get worse for me, but I didn't wanna go without seeing you, one more time." Laxus said, his words shocking Kali. "An'… I'm sorry. I know it might not mean much right now, but…"
Laxus stopped, when Kali hugged him, taking him by surprise.
"It means more to me then you know." Kali said, misty eyed. "I have waited years, for you to say that to me, and to start actually treating me like your little sister. It'll be a while, before we can have an actual relationship, but I'm just glad to know, that it's a start."
"Better late then never, I suppose." Laxus said, returning the hug. Ending the hug, Laxus picked up his bag, and began heading for the door. "Take care of yourself, sis."
