Chapter 12: A new Camp director

~ON OLYMPUS~

"Your guardianship is to be put on hold indefinitely." Said Zeus, as he sat on his throne watching the figure in front of him with a curious eye.

"If I'm no longer guarding that wretched place then I'm guessing you need me somewhere else that's of more importance." Replied the god with an irritated tone.

"You're right… Dionysus is to have his punishment on hold until this war is over to properly prepare for what's to come. Because of that-"

Zeus was cut off by the other god, "Because of that you want me to go and watch that camp?"

Zeus nodded his head a single time, "You're correct… Due to the circumstances at the camp it is probably the only place as important as Olympus. No matter how much I or the others want to deny it. Our children are the only hope we have to survive this war."

The other god began to grin and rubbed his chin. "I see… I'll accept on one condition then."

"Do you truly think you're in a position to negotiate?" Asked Zeus leaning forward in his throne and arching his eyebrow.

"Well saying we're having this discussion in private with Hera gone, and you are asking me of all the gods to take over that sorry excuse of an Olympians punishment… I'll say yes. Yes, I am in the position to negotiate." Replied the god still grinning.

Zeus stared down the god before sighing and waving his hand, "Name it then. But, if I feel it's too absurd I'll deny it."

"Oh, that's perfectly fine… I want to be freed…" Started the god.

"Done-" Zeus began but was cut off.

"From everything, Hera will no longer torment me. And I'll be able to live my life how I want."

Zeus stared at the god and growled under his breath before snarling, "Fine. I'm going to hear it from Hera, but fine."

The god nearly jumped in joy, which was saying something; and only gave a mocking bow to Zeus before saying, "Thank you Father… I'll head there now."

~~~SCENE~~~
"Where the Hades am I?" Percy murmured as he slowly opened his eyes and found himself lying on a cot within a tent all alone. Percy tried to move and winced as he felt his wound given to him by Thalia stretch and sting, "By Aphrodite's tits that hurts." Percy growled, forcing himself up to a sitting position and swinging his legs off the cot.
Percy checked himself over and saw he was still wearing his pants and boots but instead of his shirt and sweater he now wore bandages wrapped around his torso, coated in a golden liquid. Percy, being curious, swiped some with his fingers and licked it. "Ambrosia, Figures." He said to himself. He should have known it was something like Ambrosia as the stinging pain he felt from the injury was less painful than it originally was.
Percy began to stand and slowly remove his bandages to check over his body for how bad the damage was. "Doesn't look too bad, but that's going to be a scar."
Percy looked at his body and saw the slash across his side and up his torso was the only true injury he sustained and nodded, beginning to absorb the water left on his bedside and press it into his wound, healing the bits he could. "That's better," He said as the wound closed leaving bright red skin in its place and an obvious scar that would stay with him for eternity.
Percy looked around the tent and silently thanked Tychee, seeing his pack in the corner of the tent, sitting on top of a chair. "Last thing I need is for the hunters to see me without a shirt." cringing at remembering how much the hunters loathed men regardless of Artemis' opinion on them.
Percy made his way to his pack and fished out his extra sweater and threw it on before mentally thinking, 'Gods, I really hope that the armor Charles was rambling on about; is as good as he said it'll be, I can't keep letting my clothes get destroyed.' Percy, deciding he was ready for the public to see him, shouldered his pack and moved the tent flap out of the way, walking out into the night sky.
Percy looked around and saw the open area that was formerly a battle ground was now the temporary camp for Artemis. Percy looked around and saw the largest tent which could only be the goddesses and made his way to it ignoring the glares he was receiving from the handful of hunters.
As the lone spartan made it closer to the tent he was stopped by a loud shout, "Where do you think you're going boy?"
He rolled his eyes and didn't even bother turning around before taking a step and answering, "None of your business hunter."
At that everything went silent even to the point the wolves stopped eating and quieted, "What did you say to me bo-" began the hunter but was cut off.
"Spartan…"
The hunter who was already charging towards Percy stopped dead in her tracks and reeled back in confusion and surprise, "What?"
"Spartan. if you want to refer to me as anything, I am a spartan, no mere boy… now go on and sharpen your arrows… girl" Percy said adding power and irritation in the final word causing the hunter to take an involuntary step back.
Percy had no care to keep the conversation going and finished the last few of the steps to the tent before it opened before him and out came the last person he suspected, bumping into him. "Watch where you're go-."
Thalia's voice died in her throat as she looked into Percy's eyes and internally cringed, "Oh, it's you."
"Only me," Percy repeated, ignoring the irritation that radiated off of Thalia.
"Sparta, I see you're awake, come in." A voice came from the tent.
"Yes, my lady," Percy replied, moving to the side letting Thalia walk past him quickly and walking into the large tent.
The son of Poseidon made his way in and was amused by the trophies hanging around the tent along with the different types of furs on the floor and walls. He also noticed the obviously fuming Zoe standing besides the Goddess of the hunt and chose to ignore her. "My lady," he said once again taking a knee in front of her desk.
"You may rise spartan, I have no need for you to go to your knees every five minutes." Artemis said with an amused tone.
Percy stood and took a seat at one of the multiple chairs near the desk. "Thank you my lady, now if I may ask. What brought you here tonight?"
Artemis grinned and placed her head on her closed fist, "I was hunting." She stated simply.
"For new hunters, I can assume?"
Artemis' grin didn't fault, "You're right… When I found out Thalia was once again amongst the living I wanted to offer her a spot within my hunt once again."
Percy tried to hide his surprise but failed in doing so, "Thalia? Why her?"
"I've always had an eye for her, It's been some time since we've had a daughter of my father in the hunt. The last time was nearly a thousand years ago and even then she only lasted a hundred years before falling in combat." Artemis explained grimacing at the memory.
"I feel there is another reason behind this." Percy said, his eyes glancing towards Zoe who looked ready to throttle him.
"Because she's a love sick puppy stuck on someone who would betray her in an instant!" Barked Zoe.
Artemis only closed her eyes, but Percy turned his head to Zoe and raised an eyebrow, "And who would that someone be Lieutenant?"
Zoe opened her mouth to speak, taking a step towards Percy but was stopped as Artemis raised her hand, "Zoe, not another word from you…"
Zoe shot a look at Artemis who ignored her pleading look before continuing, "Besides my Lieutenants own beliefs, I solely wanted her for the benefit of the hunt and herself as I originally thought she wouldn't fit in with the others… But I feel I was mistaken."
"Care to explain to my lady?" Percy asked, leaning forward intrigued.
"I was afraid she would see the others as beneath her and become arrogant as the child of my father… But it seems you and Spartan Ajax have shattered that possibility. Yet, I'm still hoping she will take up my offer." Artemis explained leaning back into her chair.
"I mean you no insult my lady… but, If given the chance i'm going to offer her a chance to my mothers blessing." Percy replied.
Artemis couldn't help but straighten in her seat and widen her eyes, "You are going to bring women into the Spartans?"
Percy only smiled, "Yes, I fear there aren't many capable out there to fight in this war so I plan on bringing women into the ranks to balance out."
Artemis nodded at that, "You don't disappoint Spartan."
"I try my lady," Percy added, deciding this was the end of their little conversation and standing from his seat. "That was all my lady." Percy finished deciding to take his leave.
Percy placed his hands in his pocket and began to walk towards the exit opening the flap, and was stopped as Artemis spoke her final words, "I hope to see more Spartans in the coming months. I do miss my Sanctuary."
Percy let out a chuckle, "I'll make sure one is built for you again my lady." He didn't wait for a response and walked through the tent flap and removed his hand from his pocket, clicking his pen and clicking it blocking the sword strike that came down to his right.
"You'll need to try better than that… girl." Percy mocked the girl who he assumed was the one to originally argue with him before he walked into Artemis' tent.
The hunter growled in anger and jumped back, equipping her bow and nocking an arrow in record time. But, before she could let it loose. She was stopped as Percy closed the distance on her within an instant, gripping the arrow in his hand and snapping it. The camp once again grew quiet as the air became heavy and thick with what could only be described as power and death in the air. Percy leaned closer to the girl and whispered, his voice laced with such power it seemed like multiple voices were speaking at once, each deeper and more bone chilling than the last. "Don't go and do things you won't be able to finish, daughter of Ares."
"That is enough spartan." Artemis said behind Percy.
Within that second the air in the camp returned to normal and life once again seemed to enter the premises as percy let go of the broken arrow. Letting it fall to the ground, standing up straight. "Yes, My lady."
Artemis looked around the camp and began to speak so everyone could hear. "Until our guests are back at camp, you will leave them alone for the time being… Is that understood?" Every hunter in the camp nodded or shouted a "yes" causing Artemis to nod her head and walk back into her tent.
Percy was already walking away by the time Artemis was speaking and made his way towards his group of people, ignoring the hunter behind him who was still standing in the same spot stunned in what could only be fear.
The son of Posiedon made his way to the spot of the others without hassle and plopped down on a seat next to the fire close to where Grover was listening to the boy named Nico who he recently saved. Go on about the card game he had been playing with in the gym hall. "I never thought I'd see the day Artemis would see a man nearly cause harm to a hunter and then tell the other hunters to leave that same man alone." Clarisse said, still gawking at Percy.
"Artemis isn't happy about doing that, but she knows if she ends up on my bad side she'll lose her chance at being Sparta's number one goddess." Percy replied, glancing over at Thalia who was trying to act like she was in her own little world but was obviously listening with rapt attention.
"What about Enyo?" Asked Clarisse, "Isn't she going to be the main goddess for the new city?"
Percy chuckled and shook his head, "Enyo doesn't care about praises, Sparta as a whole is basically one massive praise for her."
"So like how Athens was for Athena?" Asked Clarisse.
"Basically." Percy simply said.
Clarisse nodded her head and a silence fell between them listening to the fire crackle. Nico went on, about his card to Grover who looked like he was getting ready to jump off the ledge they were near. Percy looked around and saw the new demi-god named Bianca keep glancing his way before looking away quickly. "Want to ask me something?"
Bianca jumped and began to fiddle with her fingers not wanting to make eye contact with Percy. Clarisse chuckled and began to speak, "Before you woke up Artemis spoke to me and that one over there about ya know what… Well I instantly denied it and walked off, but this one stayed back and heard her offer. She's been a fidgeting mess since she got back over here…"
Percy looked at Bianca who had her head down and was playing with her hands trying to hide within herself. He knew she was probably spiraling about all of this unlike her brother so decided to do something about it. Percy stood up and walked over to Bianca and held out his hand towards her. "Let's take a walk."
Bianca slowly looked up and looked at the hand before looking at Percy and slowly grabbed his hand before being gently lifted off the wooden log and onto her feet. As the two walked on away from the others Ikaros landed on his shoulder and rubbed his head into percy's neck. "You don't believe any of this is real."
Bianca let out a single laugh, "no, and what's crazy is… I'm not even that surprised by it!"
Percy was surprised to hear Bianca speak so easily, he honestly assumed he was going to need to slowly convince the girl to open up. "That's how many of the Demi-gods are."
"How many of them are there?"
"I don't know to be honest… But, I'm assuming there has to be a few hundred of us."
"Few hundred…" Bianca repeated, her mind going a mile a second.
The two went on for a time walking out of ear shot from the camp as Bianca asked questions and Percy answered. It seemed like hours went and gone when in reality it had only been an hour. Bianca seemed to finally be coming to an understanding of everything and it showed as her questioning became less rapid and more paced. Finally the questioning stopped and the two walked on making their way towards the camp. Once the two reached where they could see their group Bianca spoke up. "Artemis wants me to join her hunt."
Percy didn't look at Bianca and began to hum before replying, "What do you want to do?"
"I… I don't know…" Bianca replied.
"What's stopping you from making a decision?" Asked Percy.
Bianca didn't speak for a minute getting closer to the camp. "My brother… It's always been us two… I feel like I'm taking care of him more than I can take care of myself… But, I don't want to leave him… Our mom died and our father obviously wants nothing to do with us. It's just us two."
"So you want to go somewhere where you don't need to be an adult. But you also don't want to abandon your only family left." Percy replied.
Bianca nodded her head, "What should I do?"
"I can't answer that for you… You must come to that decision yourself." He said, as the two finally made it to the others and sat back down in his original spot as Bianca kept walking towards Artemis' tent.
~~~SCENE~~~

It had been a few hours before Artemis came out of her tent and called out to the camp. "Time to pack up, we'll be leaving in five minutes."

"Where to, my lady?" asked one of the hunters.

"You'll be hitching a ride to camp-half blood while I go on a hunt." Artemis responded, causing instant protest from the others. "There is no room for arguing or discussion!" Shouted Artemis causing the hunters to silence.

The hunters began to dismantle the camp as one of them stopped and slowly turned to Artemis, a look of weariness on her face. "Who exactly are we hitching a ride with?"

Before Artemis could respond a bright light showed itself over the horizon off the cliff where the sun was coming from. Normally everyone would ignore it but the hunters all groaned in unison as the light grew brighter and brighter until finally reaching the camp. Causing everyone to cover their eyes or look away.

When everyone looked at where the bright light was last seen. In its place was now a sports car Percy couldn't remember the name of. That slowly shifted colors to what was associated with the sun. Percy moved his eyes away from the car as he saw the door open and out popped the one and only, god of the sun.

"Why hello everyone!" Apollo shouted, spreading his arms basking in their stares, "And hello to my recently favorite cousin." He added looking towards Percy.

Percy couldn't react in time as Apollo appeared instantly to his side, Apollo's arm over his shoulder and pulling him close. "You've caused so much drama up there." Apollo said, pointing up in the sky, "That the drama network is going up in arms!" Apollo then pulled Percy close to whisper in his ear but being loud enough for the others to hear. "Rumor is, Aphrodite dumped Ares and is currently planning on looking for you to take his spot."

Percy scoffed and went to say something but was silenced as Apollo shushed him by placing a finger over Percy's lips, "Shhhh… Another rumor is there's a new camp director… no more Dionysus. Know anything about that? My dad's keeping it quiet for the time until he gets to camp. All I know Is that it has Hera up in arms."

Apollo moved his finger from percy's lips and nodded his head giving him the chance to speak, "Why am I your favorite cousin?"

Apollo let out a bark of laughter, "Because, it's been nearly a century since anything interesting has happened! And even then the last thing was W W 2. Then here you come! Bringing back Thalia from the dead, saving the last remaining child of Enyo. which inadvertently saved Enyo herself, exposed the up and coming war. Made Aprhodite possibly dump Ares. Oh yeah by the way Hephaestsus wants to shake your hand at that. And then you beat and embarrass Ares on top of it all!"

"Why does Hephaestus want to shake my hand? Doesn't his wife want me to become the new 'Ares' as you said?" Percy asked, ignoring the seething looks he got from the hunters and the gaping looks from his group.

Apollo waved his hand around dispelling that statement and continued, "The ole smithing god could care less about Aphrodite." Apollo leaned closer and actually whispered this time to where only Percy could hear, "That whole marriage thing was a sham anyways. Hephaestus hated how Aphrodite was and begged Zeus and Hera to call off the wedding. They of course didn't." Apollo then pulled away and spoke normally again, "The reason he hated their relationship so much was due to Ares constantly mocking and insulting him everytime Aprhodite and him did something."

Percy went to respond but was cut short as Artemis appeared behind them, "That's enough Apollo, I asked you to take them to camp. Not to become the gossiper of the group."

Apollo, hearing his sister spun around and made a mock salute, "Yes Ma'am! Alright demi-gods and beautiful hunters, pile up!"

The group of individuals all looked confused at Apollo until one raised his hand, "Uh… Mr. Apollo, how are we all supposed to fit in that?"

Apollo turned to see Nico speaking to him and then turned back to his mobile. "Oh right," With a snap of his fingers the sports car turned into a school bus along with Apollo's. "NOW, everyone hop on!"

The others all piled in with the hunters taking the back seats with Bianca following them. Grover followed behind, sitting as close as he could without being found out and Clarisse sitting in one of the front rows. Nico sat in the very front on his own looking at his cards lost in his own world, still lost about what his sister told him only a couple hours ago. Percy was the second to last to enter, deciding to sit with Nico and talk to the kid. Lastly was Thalia who went to find her own spot.

Apollo followed behind and took a seat but was stopped from closing the doors as Artemis stuck out her foot, preventing the door from closing. "Don't you dare try to flirt with my hunters Apollo. If I even hear you compliment them again, I'll make sure to flay you alive."

Apollo, taking the threat in stride, Sat straight in his seat and made another mock salute, "Yes little sister!" causing Artemis to growl in annoyance.

"I'm being serious Apollo!" Artemis barked before disappearing in a flash of light.

Apollo closed the bus doors and turned to the passengers in his bus and decided to ask a question, "Anyone want to drive the sun?"

~~~SCENE~~~
Percy slowly stood up from being thrown on the floor of the bus for the hundredth time as the bus finally came to a complete stop on the beach of camp-half blood. "By the gods Thalia…" Percy groaned as he looked around to see Nico was wrapped around Clarisse's arm. How did he end up over there? Percy had no clue, but was glad the young demi-god wasn't hurt. He was also glad he sent Ikaros to camp via teleportation as he could only guess the injuries the bird would have gotten from being slammed into every side of the bus.
Thalia, not waiting for anyone's comments, jumped off the bus seat and bolted off the bus running somewhere private to possibly throw up. Almost no one noticed the daughter of Zeus running off as they were all recovering from the trauma they received on the bus ride and slowly fixed themselves. Slowly leaving the death trap called the sun bus and onto the beach.
As the last of the passengers left the bus, Apollo stayed there waiting around with the campers causing Percy to question the god. "How come you haven't left yet?"
"I want to see if my suspicions were correct…" Apollo replied.
Percy raised an eyebrow and wondered who just was the new camp counselor. After a short minute Percy heard the clopping of hooves and laughter coming from around the tree line and recognized it as Chirons hooves and laughter along with someone else laughing, "Seems like the new counselor's already doing better than Dionysus."
Everyone on the beach froze as out came the last God they would have expected to walk around that corner with Chiron. "Is that fucking Heracles?!" Shouted Clarisse.
"Sure is!... Oh this is going to be amazing, Alright everyone! Have fun! Especially you hunters!" Shouted Apollo as he hopped into his bus and turned it back into his sports car peeling off into the sky.
Everyone turned from where Apollo was back to the closing figures of Chiron and Heracles. Percy stared in awe as the most famous Greek hero walked over to them. "Ajax is going to lose it when he finds out about this…"
"NOPE, NO… NOT DOING THIS!" Shouted someone within the group causing all eyes to shift to her.
Percy looked over and saw it was Zoe who was now storming off to Artemis' cabin followed by the rest of the hunters before Heracles could get close enough to greet them. "Wonder what that was about." Said Heracles as he closed the distance and finally stepped in front of the campers. "Good to meet you four! I'm guessing you all know who I am?"
Everyone nodded their heads synchronized and eyes wide. Percy had to admit Heracles was possibly the perfection of the male physique. Was it because of his godly powers or from drinking from Hera's breast? No one would ever know. "I'm guessing you're our new Director?" Percy asked Heracles, making himself sound strong.
"Sure am, and I'm guessing you're one of the two last remaining spartans that has all of Olympus talking." Heracles stated.
"You'll be correct." Percy replied.
Heracles chuckled and waved his hand. "No need for the formality bull, I'm not here to do anything but to make sure you all are kept safe and from killing one another."
At that Percy relaxed but still keeping up the appearance he was as strong as his title of spartan said. "Thank you…"
"Heracles, just call me by my name. I'm not going to be like my useless brother and make you call me Mr. or sir or some shit, like I said… no formalities."
Chiron decided now would be a good time to step in and clear his throat, "Where is Thalia?"
"Oh, she ran off as soon as we landed, probably to go and throw up." Said Clarisse not taking her eyes off of Heracles.
"Shit that reminds me, I should probably go look for her." Percy said going to run off but stopping in his tracks., "Was there anything you needed from me Chiron?" Chiron shook his head giving Percy the chance to go and find Thalia.
~~~SCENE~~~

"Never again…" Thalia groaned as she stumbled from behind a tree, finally throwing up the last of her latest meal.

"You okay?" A voice came, causing Thalia to shoot up and look up from the ground.

Thalia's eyes widened in surprise, "Oh… it's you."

Percy closed his eyes and bit back his retort, deciding to try to be civil with Thalia, "Yes it's me."

The two stood there awkwardly for a handful of seconds before Thalia finally broke the silence. "What do you want?"

Percy groaned, "I came to check to see if you were alright. Should I not have?"

Thalia felt touched that Percy came to check on her health but also hated how it seemed he wasn't angry with her anymore when she was still irritated with him. "I don't know, we finished the mission so you aren't in charge anymore."

The son of Poseidon opened his mouth to say something and closed it before opening it again, "I don't know what happened to you in the course of these few days… but you're really starting to irritate the fuck out of me." Percy took a step forward closing the distance on the two. "I know how you kids of Zeus are, you fiend for acceptance and power. I know you want to be the leader and show your father and everyone else up."

Percy took another step forcing Thalia to take an involuntary step back. "I know you hate how no one fears you or looks to you as a leader because I took that spot."

Percy took yet another step forward causing Thalia to step back yet again and press her back against a tree. Letting Percy fully close the distance on Thalia and press his arm against her shoulder keeping her pressed against the tree; leaning forward to where his lips were inches from her own, staring right into her eyes "And I know for a fact, after all of that… you're still scared like the rest of these kids are. You're trying to be something you're not… And until you realize that you're going to do more bad than good for yourself."

Thalia's voice hitched in her throat and she scoffed, not breaking the staring contest. "You don't know me, Just because you have some title of a long dead civilization doesn't mean shit."

Percy grinned at that, "even though it's been over two thousand years… you're just like your siblings, you think you're some hot shit because of your dad… but in reality you're just like the rest of us."

Thalia felt her anger grow within her but it was mixed with multiple emotions coursing through her, and she couldn't understand why. In an instant, she felt anger, intimidation, arousal, embarrassment, confusion, and whatever else possible. "So what, you plan on intimidating me and making me kneel before you like some bitch?"

The Spartan let out a bark of laughter, "No, I want you to understand you're not better than any of them."

"But you can say, you're better than them?" Thalia bit back letting her anger win out and trying to move out of Percy's grasp but realizing he was too strong to move.

"We both know the answer to that." Percy said with a grin that nearly caused the anger in Thalia to subside.

After Percy's last words the two stood there in silence pressed against the tree until finally Percy took a step back letting Thalia go and beginning to walk away without saying another word. Percy knew what he did, he didn't necessarily like it but he knew it was his only choice. The son of Poseidon was being truthful when he meant what he said about Thalia. What he didn't mean was he saw himself above the others. He didn't see himself as some kind of hot shot demi-god better than the rest. No that was quickly dispelled from him at a young age during his years at the Agoge. Yet he knew Thalia thought exactly that. She wanted to be the boss of the camp and dictate what happened just like her father did in Olympus. Percy knew that would only cause issues within the camp and cause fighting within the ranks that he didn't need. His main priority was birthing a new army of Spartans and he wasn't going to let some confused hormonal driven teen do just that.

~~~SCENE~~~
Percy had made it back to the cabins looking around for the power couple he referred to them as, since he had a favor to ask of them. Surprisingly he found Luke on his own practicing on his sword fighting against Scylla and Charybdis. Percy watched as Luke spun around trying to make contact with one of the two camp counselors, it looked like they were going at it for a few hours now as the three were all drenched in sweat and breathing heavily. "Where did you two even train during your punishments?"
"Charybdis and I had a lot of free time." Scylla replied between heavy breaths as she stabbed out with her sword and Charybdis swiped with hers, making sure no matter which way Luke dodged he would be a hit.
Percy saw the attacks and knew it was over but was stopped in his tracks as he saw the last thing he would have expected from Luke. As Charybdis' sword almost made contact with Luke's shoulder he disappeared and reappeared nearly ten feet away and slouched forward breathing heavily. "Too. Slow."
The two counselor's looked at one another and nodded before sprinting towards Luke. They never made it to their target as Percy called out causing the three to stop in their spar. "When in the Hades did you learn that?"
Luke looked over to Percy and leaned forward grabbing onto his knees and sighing in relief as he doubted he could go on for much longer, "A few days ago when I was sparring with these two… I wanted to hide it and use it on you as a surprise."
Percy laughed and walked over to Luke, "It was a common ability when I was back in Greece. If you want to surprise me you'll become invisible… Now that was rare back then."
Luke looked up at Percy and raised an eyebrow, "I can do that?"
"Probably, demi-gods back then were forced to master their abilities at a young age so special abilities like your little mini teleportation you did was something common for children of Hermes." Percy answered, patting Luke on the back.
Luke stood up and stretched before looking at Percy, "What's your special abilities then?"
"One of mine you've seen countless times, being able to pull water from anywhere." Percy said, absorbing the sweat from the three fighting and hovering the ball of water over his hand before dispelling it.
"Of course…" Luke said, putting his sparring sword on a rack and thanking Charybdis and Scylla for their time before talking to Percy once again, "So I doubt you wanted to watch me spar, so what do you need?"
Percy smiled and started to walk along with Luke back to the cabins and began to speak, "There's a new camper here… His name is Nico De'angelo. His sister recently joined the hunt so he has no one… I wanted to ask if you and Annabeth can take him under your wing."
"Like a little brother?" Luke asked, looking curious at Percy.
"Yes and no, those two kids are something special, and the last thing I need is him getting into harm's way."
"Why can't you do it?" Luke asked, raising an eyebrow.
"To put it bluntly… I don't have the time, I'm going to start choosing who I want for the first group of training once all the campers get here."
"I mean he is going to be at camp… I doubt he really needs us to watch over him carefully." Luke replied.
Percy stopped walking and looked at Luke, "Luke, we both know once the camp is full like it should be that kid is going to be bullied and pushed around."
Luke went to reply back disagreeing with Percy but stopped and grimaced knowing Percy was right… "Alright fine… Let me just tell Annabeth, I doubt she'll care but still. I'm guessing we don't know who his parent is?"
Percy grimaced and shook his head, "Sadly no… And the way things are I doubt he'll be claimed. But from what he told me I have a feeling on who it might be, but I don't want to jump to conclusions."
~~~SCENE~~~

Percy sat at his table in the dining pavilion and looked at Thalia who was currently sitting alone at her table also refusing to look in his direction. Percy rolled his eyes at that and looked towards the Hermes cabin and smiled seeing Nico currently in a very loud conversation with Luke and his siblings about something. Percy was glad that the unclaimed could choose to sit with the Hermes kids or the two newly added tables recently added to house the lesser gods' kids and other unclaimed.

Percy then switched his attention to the Artemis table which surprisingly had the hunters. They obviously looked annoyed with Zoe and some of the other hunters making death glares at Heracles who seemed ignorant to them as he ate his strictly protein plate. Percy wondered what the history was between them for Zoe to react the way she did.

As time went on Percy ate his food with Ikaros catching bits of meat Percy threw his way. Finally Percy heard a hoof stomping down towards the front of the pavilion and up stood Chiron looking at the campers and hunters. "I hope you all had a good dinner…" Chiron waited as a few cheers and jokes came from the tables, "Because I have something to tell you all which I hope will make you excited."

The campers all looked at Chiron confused as a grin formed on Chiron's face before saying aloud for all to hear, "Tomorrow will be the capture the flag game! Hunters vs campers!"

At that there was a groaning coming from the campers and cheers coming from the hunters. "We always lose!" shouted one of the campers.

Most of the other campers agreed and went silent before someone else shouted, "But we have a chance!"

"How so?" shouted a third voice.

"We got Percy!" shouted the second, causing the campers to go quiet before shouting in excitement and turning their heads at percy who was currently feeding Ikaros.

"What about me?" Percy asked, having not paid attention after Chirons initial announcement.

A/N: Well I hope you enjoyed this chapter everyone. I know it was a bit slow, but hey not every chapter can be filled with intense action and drama. ALSO I hope you enjoyed what I did with adding Heracles into this. NO he won't be a douchebag like in the books, I always hated that about his character. I am still going to make it to where he did screw over Zoe but obviously I had to as there needed to be some sub-plot to this all.

A/N: Anyways I hope you all enjoyed it, and you know how it goes, if you're new here, Favorite and Follow the story and if you really want to leave a review. Besides that I will see you all next week.
