Subaru just sighed as he packed his bags. Barely a day after returning from his forced travels, and he's already leaving again. He already made preparations for Wiz to watch over both Sophia and Yuika over in her world, so there was one worry off his chest.

The other worry...

He watched as a familiar Ground Dragon ran towards him with a near frantic pace. He could hardly shout out "Patrasche" before she barreled straight into him from the basement.

Only Wiz and Kazuma had been around to witness it. The former instantly going into her 'concerned hen' mode while the latter was content just watching. Patrasche just nuzzled his neck and while keeping him on the floor. "Off, please, off." Subaru said while putting a hand on Patrache's snout. The Ground Dragon pulling back as he gave a light shove.

"How, how did you even?" he asked in confusion as he picked himself up. Patrasche just let out a snort in response, seemingly giving a smug answer. "Did the teleportarion circle go off?" he asked Wiz. "Not to my knowledge, we didn't have any deliveries today and none of us have ledt yet." Wiz answered.

Subaru looked Patrache deep in the eyes. "But.. How?" he asked once more while embracing his loyal steed. "Aw who cares, you magnificent dragon you." he said as Patrasche snorted as though agreeing with him. "Ah, the bonds between a boy and his dragon is always so wholesome." Wiz commented as Kazuma averted his eyes from the scene unfolding in front of him.

The door to the shop flung open as Naofumi and his group walked in, Kumoko alongside Magic 1 and 2 not far behind. They paused the moment they saw the scene in front of them. "What ya got there?" Keel asked. "The most loyal dragon in the world." Subaru replied with a sappy tone. Filo seemed to fume in response to this while the others just looked at him in confusion.

"This is Patrasche, she was my loyal steed back in there. She helped me through some of the worst troubles, the fact that its just her and no one else from my old world just proves how loyal she is." Subaru quickly explained as he gestured to Patrasche. The Dragon in question perked up with a smug expression as Subaru finished.

"And you just now brought her out?" Naofumi asked as he raised a brow. "I didn't bring her with me, she just rushed her way out of the basement." Subaru replied as he brushed himself off. Naofumi gave Patrasche a look over before huffing. Filo seemed to hiss at the Ground Dragon while Raphtalia put a hand on her shoulder.

"Wait, as in she just ran out of the basement?" Rifana asked. "Yep, he opened the door and she tackled him." Kazuma spoke up. Keel and the three Spider Sisters snickered at the scene. "Anyway, we're just wrapping up here, you guys have everything you need?" Subaru asked.

The two sets nodded in response to which Subaru gestured towards the basement. "Then just head down there, we'll finish our stuff up then join you guys." he said. The two groups moved past them, both Raphtalia and Naofumi having to keep Filo from trying anything with Patrasche.

Kazuma closed the door behind them before he returned to his bag. "I'm going to miss this place." Subaru said as the tarps were set on the last of the shelves. "I know, we barely had it open for a month." Wiz lamented. Subaru tucked his bag onto his back before picking up Yuika and taking hold of Patrasche's reins. Wiz took Sophia in her arms as Kazuma let the way down the basement.

The others had already left with the Spider Sisters, leaving them alone as they stood in the centre of the circle.

Then it lit up once more.

Hajime let out a whistle as they walked out of Ainz's village and into Nazarick. The massive tomb was impressive from the outside alone. Ainz himself led the way as the large doors opened. He held his hand up before the group; "We stop here, I'll grab what is need to traverse the tomb properly." he said before disappearing.

Myu grew restless from her perch atop his shoulders as the minutes ticked by. Kaori, Yue, and Shizuku gave cautious glances to the areas surrounding the entrance. Tio was busy keeping Shea calm as they waited.

Eventually Ainz returned with a small collection of rings. "Wear these, the defense systems won't register you as intruders if you do." he said while holding them out in an armored hand. They slid their rings onto their fingers before following the imposing figure as he walked through the tomb's entrance.

No one stopped, only taking the odd glance at the architecture of the tomb. Ainz then stopped, raising his left hand as he did so. They could hear the tomb doors close behind them before a faint glow escaped between the gaps of Ainz's gauntlet. A bright light took their vision for a brief moment before they were found themselves in the middle of a mess hall.

"I apologize for the sudden move, but it would take far too long just walking. We're now several floors down into the tomb of Nazarick. I will show Hajime to the armory and the forge, the rest of you can either explore or claim one of the guest rooms as your own." Ainz said. Hajime let Myu off his shoulders and let her walk. He nodded and handed his bag to Kaori; "Don't take to long." She said to him. Yue nodded as she took Myu's hand to make sure she didn't get lost.

Hajime left his group (haremdaughter) to do their own thing while Ainz walked away. "How old is this place?" Hajime wondered out loud as he followed Ainz. "Not that old, it just empty." Ainz replied. "Did you build this place?" Hajime asked as they passed rooms with numerous Kanji over each door. "My Guild and I conquered this place, then we modified it to suite our needs and desires." Ainz said.

Hajime took a deep breath as he read the Names on each passing down. "Were you Isekaied?" he asked. "Yes, both I and the tomb." Ainz replied calmly. "So it's just been you, all alone in here, for who knows how long?" Hajime inquired. "This place, is twelve years of hard work. Before I was pulled into the New World, even before the sky broke, this place was filled with Npcs, servants, and traps. Now its empty of all living and undead things... except me." Ainz said as he turned back to Hajime.

Hajime almost pulled Donner on Ainz as he starred face first into the red flames of his eyes and the skeletal face in front of him. "Come, we are almost there." Ainz said as he turned back and continued onwards. Hajime shook his head, thoughts running through his mind as he followed him.

Naofumi glared at the list in front of him. Subaru had been rather insistent that he be prepared for anything when he agreed to join him. A list that resembled a set pipe bomb instructions was not what he expected, nor were any of the other items on the list what he had expected.

Who even needs a crystal of fire magic for 'medical purposes'?

He looked up as Subaru finished strapping his bags to Patrasche's sides. A large wagon was being prepared for Filo and his group not far away. Wiz was keeping a close eye on everything while Magic 2 and a pair of undead were playing babysitter for Sophia and Yuika.

"Subaru." Naofumi said as he approached his junior (Senior?). "Yes?" Subaru replied as he looked back at him, the skin he had once thought peerless now riddled with scars and cuts. He had been hiding them with one of the concealer creams he and Kazuma had in their disguise kit. "I just don't get why we have to take all this-" he held up the list to emphasize "-with us?" he asked. Subaru calmly held up his hands; "A ni-immortal woman capable of regenerating due to shape shifting." he replied as though it was the most normal sentence one could say.

Naofumi stared into Subaru's remaining eye for a second. "That, actually explains the fantasy napalm recipe in this list." he replied. "Yep, believe me when I tell you that she wasn't the worst threat." Subaru said as he turned back to Patrasche. "What?" Naofumi asked.

"Sin Archbishops of the Witch Cult, not many left, but they could make that freaky hand ability you saw in the desert look like childsplay." Subaru said. "Then how many are left?" Naofumi asked. "To my knowledge just Lust, the immortal woman, Wrath, but she's imprisoned, and maybe part of Gluttony." Subaru calmly explained. "The rest?" Naofumi asked. "Either dead or non-existent." Subaru said.

Naofumi looked down at the list in his hands once more. "I'm going to update this." he said before walking away. Subaru chuckled as he locked the last of Patrasche's bags. "Come on girl, we're about to go back to your home." he said as Patrasche followed after him.

"Once you arrive I want you to make your way to the docks and board a ship called the Duchess. It will ferrie you guys to Subaru's world. Afterwards any navigation will need to be done on your own." Wiz explained to the Shield Group. "Understood Ma'am." Raphtalia said as she took a seat next to Naofumi at the front of the wagon. Filo hummed happily in her Fillolial form as she was harnessed to the wagon. Keel and Rifana poked their heads out and gave her thumbs up.

"Just remember too be on your guard. The people are tough, and their enemies tougher." Subaru chimed in as he rode atop Patrasche's back. His face seemed to have dried tears as his breathing betrayed his face of calm. "Also remember not to open the wooden crate with Magic 2 in it until you've reach Lugunica." Kazuma chipped in. "We'll be fine." Naofumi said as Wiz activated the circle around them.

The group was bathed in light for a single moment before they found themselves in the woods a fair distance away from any sort of road. The echo of waves crashing against the shores told them the direction they needed to go. Hardly a minute passed before they found a road leading to a bustling port town.

Folks gave way as they wandered to the docks. Numerous ships were lined up along the wooden flooring. Sailors and merchants were hard at work moving cargo and commerce along the whole path.

The Duchess was one of the larger ships which had been docked. It even had a built in crane to haul supplies down to its storage compartment. Merchants and nobles were lined up as a man inspected them.

Subaru turned back to Naofumi as they stopped near the Duchess. Naofumi handed the reins of the wagon to Raphtalia before he took his spot in the line. Subaru got off Patrasche and left her next to the wagon as he took a spot next to him. Each held a piece of document allowing them to board the ship and keep all their supplies in personal storage.

They reach the inspecter in no time, the man simply glancing at thei documents before nodding. "Section Twenty four will be all yours, it has two floors with the upper floor for living space while the lower floor can be used for supply storage and animal pens. Don't make a mess of the place." the man said while gesturing for them to move up.

The group moved along the line, boarding the shop as the sailors transported the wagon and their 'animals' to their section. "This ship is massive, practically a floating palace." Keel commented as she walked behind the others. "Yep, these are the closest ships we have to the massive tankers back home." Naofumi said as they opened the door to their section. "You have ships bigger than this back home?" Rifana asked. "Yes." "And they're made of metal rather than wood." spoke the two Isekaied passengers.

The section resembled the interior of a plain hovel. A series of bunk beds and a table made up the majority of the first floor. A set of stairs let down to the second floor, which Filo had already run up to the moment she had heard them enter. "Daddy, Uncle's Dragon is being mean." Hmshe said while wrapping her arms around Naofumi's waist. "I doubt Patrasche would be mean to you." Subaru said as Naofumi just tried to pull her off him.

"Wait... Uncle?" Subaru half yelled as the others (sans Naofumi) started to chuckle at his pardiciment.
