Mask's first class

Class 1-A was talking quietly to themselves as they walked across the grounds of UA. On their way to Gym Gamma for the first time, eagerly throwing out ideas for what today's class could possibly be about. The whole class was in full costume having been informed the night before by Aizawa that they would be required. While Mineta was still missing they had been joined by the members of class 1-B , also in costume, which more then made up the difference. Bakugo with the constant need to be first was competing with Monoma to be the one that reached the gym before the others. At the last second Bakugo shoved the blonde haired boy to the side and slammed the gym doors open, stepping inside of the gym before anyone else.

Gym Gamma was a perfectly flat area created with Cementoss's quirk which allowed him to modify it for whatever would be needed at the time. It was clear to both classes that Cementoss had prepped the room for today in advance. Mask was standing behind a podium on a low platform with stairs on either side that lead up to it. A stone table with numerous belts resting on it sat the to right of the doors to the gym, to the left was a series of bleachers that several members of the UA staff were sitting on. A more tired then usual Aizawa with Nezu sitting on his shoulder, Vlad King, Midnight, All Might in his skinny form, and Recovery Girl.

What really caught the classes attention though was the other three figures up on stage with Mask. The first figure being Shinso who had his hands in his pockets, dressed in his UA gym uniform rather then a hero costume like everyone else. The second figure took the group a moment to place as not only was his outfit completely different then what they were used to but the figure was also almost a foot taller. What actually clued them in to his identity was the dark purple balls on his head.

Mineta's outfit it seemed had undergone quite a few changes, gone was the diaper looking section replaced by dark purple pants secured with belt that looked very similar to the ones on the table. The yellow of Mineta's gloves, boots, and cape had been changed to a lighter shade of purple, the boots top vanishing beneath the purple pants. The soles of the boots also appearing to be much thicker then standard. Instead of a mask Mineta now wore a white helmet shaped like a bowl whose edges ended just below the top of his head, leaving his ball like hair untouched. It also appeared to not have anything resembling an opening for Mineta to see through.

The final figure up on stage looked like a more feminine copy of Mask. She lacked the green cape and instead of a visor that glowed red hers glowed a soft green. She was roughly a head shorter then Mask as well which still made her taller then the majority of the students and teachers.

Upon seeing the combined classes enter Shinso and Mineta hurried down stairs of the platform to meet everyone just a few feet beyond the door to the gym. Shinso's longer legs letting him take the lead. This was the first chance for many to see how Mask's special training had helped Shinso. He was no longer a skinny beanpole but now had the muscle definition of a runner.

"Hello some of you know me from the Sports Festival for those that don't my name is Shinso Hitoshi. I'll be joining class 1-A after today." Message having been delivered Shinso walked over to where Midoriya, Uraraka, and Ida were standing.

Monoma who had overheard the conversation started to rant about the favoritism that always got shown to 1-A. Kendo smacking Monoma on the back of his head, her focus on something else. Most of the girls of both classes had their attention focused elsewhere. Their eyes on the approaching Mineta.

He stopped several feet away, the girls of the classes feeling vaguely creeped out by the fact that they couldn't see where his eyes were looking. Just then the front of the helmet flickered going from perfectly white to transparent in an instant, revealing Mineta's face and eyes. Eyes meeting with Momo's who was at the front of the crowd.

Reaching up to base of the helmet, Mineta flicked an unseen latch. The helmet letting out a hiss of air as the seal was broken and Mineta removed it. The girls close enough to Mineta catching a glimpse of electronics tucked away inside of the helmet as it started to fold in on itself until it was about a quarter of it's starting size. Mineta reached back with the helmet in his hand, slipping it beneath his cape where it hooked onto his back.

Then to the utter shock of all the girls he bowed down in the dogeza position. "I wish to apologize for all of my actions taken up until now! I realize that they were wrong and will not repeat them in the future! Whether or not you can forgive me is completely up to you!" Before any of them could respond Mineta got to his feet and walked away, heading towards where Kaminari and Sero were standing. The girls of the two classes too stunned to respond to the completely unexpected apology.

"Ahem let us get started now." As Mask spoke cement benches shot up from the ground to form several rows in front of the stage. "You can remain standing or sit down as you wish just as long as you are paying attention. As you should all know by now my name is Iron Mask but please address me as Mask. I am here today for three very specific purposes that we will being going over individually for each member of your class.

These three purposes are as follows, Hero name improvement, quirk improvement, and finally costume improvement." That got the classes talking even as they took seats or remained standing. Most of their attention shifting back to Mask when he lifted a clipboard and pen from the podium.

"For today class 1-A and 1-B don't exist and I will be going down the list alphabetically by last name. When I call your name you will come up and join me on stage."

Aoyama, Yuga, can't stop twinkling

The first person to be called up was a blonde haired young man wearing a full suit of highly polished armor. Glittering at his belt and in various places across the armor were gem-like lenses. A cape and reflective orange glasses completing the outfit.

"Hero name?"

"I am Aoyama Yuga and my hero name is Can't stop Twinkling."

Dead silence followed that statement as Mask looked from the clipboard to Aoyama, back to the clipboard then back to the boy.

Then he stared...

And stared...

And stared...

And stared...

Finally the feminine robot standing beside Mask spoke up her voice completely flat. "One question in and we've already had a stinker."

Letting out a very long tired sigh Mask shook his head before speaking. "No, absolutely not. That's not a hero name that's a sentence. How about something like The Twinkling Hero: Starlight?"

Aoyama stood there, head tilted slightly to the side with one hand holding his chin and a finger resting against his lips. "Yes, yes I like it, from now on I shall be the Twinkling Hero: Starlight!" The two classes chattered excitedly to those sitting next to them. Falling silent as Aizawa favored them with a wilting stare.

Mask didn't even seem to note event as he scribbled a quick note down on the clipboard. "Explain to me what your quirk is and how you believe it to work."

"My quirk is Navel Laser and with it..." Aoyama then went on to describing his quirk and showing off what it could do. When he was finished he found that Mask was seemingly staring at him once again. When Mask finally spoke it wasn't to address Aoyama but the teachers. "Nezu, Aizawa come here for a moment."

The assembled crowd of teachers and students muttered curiously to themselves as Aizawa with Nezu still on his shoulder walked up to the stage.

"What is it Mask-san?" Nezu asked curiously, beady black eyes looking from Aoyama to Mask and back.

"Are either of you aware that Aoyama here was not born with a quirk but instead gained it within the last year?" Aoyama's near ever present smile dropped from his face and he suddenly looked nervous as both Nezu and Aizawa fixed their eyes on him.

"We were not aware of that Mask-san. How did you discover this information?"

"Quirks and superpowers in general fundamentally alter a person's DNA from the moment a child is conceived, shaping the way that they develop as they grow older. While the primary manifestation of the Quirks abilities usually doesn't come about until about the age of 4 there is a host of secondary manifestations or mutations that aren't visible. These secondary mutations are what generally allows one to use their Quirks without instantly killing themselves or significant side effects.

The absence of these mutations is why Aoyama suffers from stomach issues when he uses his Quirk."

"Is there anyway for Aoyama to get these secondary mutations?" Mask paused for a moment as he thought over Nezu's question. "Overtime the side effects will become less severe as his DNA alters to accommodate his Quirk but that's mainly only possible due to the fact that he's still growing. I'll need more research before I can be certain but I believe that I can come up with a treatment method to speed up the process. The appalling lack of research into Quirk's is hindering me somewhat in this case."

While Nezu nodded Aizawa continued to stare at Aoyama before finally speaking. "We will be addressing this after class." Then turning around he walked back to the bleachers. Mask clapping his hands as he was left on stage with Aoyama, speaking up once more to addressed the other students.

"That drama aside, your quirk is very powerful Aoyama and I only have a few suggestions about how you can improve it. The first being that your lasers don't seem to actually need to hit anything in order for them to push you around. Following that logic it shouldn't matter how long the lasers you fire actually need to be. So if you can make it so that your lasers only travel a few feet away from you and you fire out of all of your lenses at the same time you should be able to manage brief bouts of controlled flight.

Continuing on with that idea by controlling how far your project your laser it should be possible to create an actual sword. It won't last very long but it will allow you to still act offensively when using your laser would otherwise be dangerous, such as an enclosed area or when civilians are between you and a villain."

Mask paused to let Aoyama digest what he had just mentioned for nearly a minute before continuing. "Finally as to your costume, I have nothing to say about it that won't come up at the end during the general costume improvement. If you'd please go and take a seat."

Ashido Mina, Pinky

The second person that Mask called up was a girl with pink skin and a pair of horns on her head. She was wearing a skintight outfit with a color combination that would have easily fit in at a disco. Even down to the faux fur around the shoulders, neck, and sleeves.

"Hero name?"

"I'm Ashido Mina and my hero name is Pinky."

Mask suppressed the reflexive urge to sigh loudly even as Alana laughed through their telepathic link. This was going to be a long day if the names were all going to be like this.

"While it's certainly a unique name I somehow don't think that was your first choice for your hero name."

Mina frowned, glancing back at Midnight before nodding. "I wanted to be called Alien Queen cause of my acid but it was rejected because of the images it brought to mind." Once more Mask fought down a sigh, this was going to be a seriously long day.

"I think you could make it work if you tried, after all people will draw the comparison just based off of your Quirks name. I do have a suggestion for you to think about. The Alien Hero, Queenie. Let's move onto your Quirk and what it can do."

"So my quirk is called Acid and it let's me do things like.." Just like Aoyama before her, Mina proceeded to demonstrate the capabilities of her Quirk. Eventually sliding to a stop in front of Mask on a trail of her acid.

"First off while you are using your quirk quite well you also aren't using it to it's fullest potential. The acid that you produce when your sliding around for instance, if you coated yourself in a thin layer of it opponents would have difficulty restraining you.

Inversely if instead of having your acid be slippery you could make it very sticky almost like glue. If you use it in this way you can force opponents to be cautious about their movements or risk getting stuck. In addition you can use it to rob villains of weapons or devices.

My last point ties into suggestions for your costume so I'll move onto that if your ready." Only once Mina nodded did Mask continue.

"You mentioned and your demonstration of your Quirk has shown that your costume will get damaged by your acid over time. It also showed me that your skin is able to withstand much higher concentrations before it begins to cause you problems. My suggestion is that we make your outfit out of acid resistant material and infuse it with your DNA.

My final suggestion for you is a support item to increase your range." Turning away from Mina, Mask took the piece of paper that Alana was holding out to him.

On the paper was a detailed schematic of an opened palm gauntlet with a pair of small tanks built into the sides. Beneath the wrist of the gauntlet was a small nozzle connected to the tanks. "This is designed to be about as acid resistant as possible and will incorporate the same DNA infusion as your new outfit. When you clench your hand and produce acid it will fill the tanks then when you want to fire it you do this." Mask demonstrating what many prequirk comic book fans would say was the Spiderman web-shooting hand sign.

"The nozzle of the sprayer has three settings that are selectable by touching your index, middle, or ring finger to the palm of your hand. Index is the default setting with an estimated range of about 15 meters. Middle is a high pressure setting with a range of 25 to 30 meters. Your Ring finger isn't actually designed to increase your range but instead shoot it out as more of a mist. So instead of a more concentrated blast it's spread out over a wide area."

Mask then handed the paper over to Mina who was soon studying it with an unusual amount of focus. Eventually she looked up to stare at Mask. "I'm worried about how long this will be able to hold my acid and the chance of it breaking when out on the field."

"Not to worry once its produced it will undergo rigorous testing before being used in anything resembling a truly dangerous situation."

Asui, Tsuyu, Froppy

No one was sure quite what to expect as Asui's name was called and she walked up to the stage. Most couldn't read her expression the few that knew her well however could tell that she was slightly nervous. Stopping in front of Mask she peered at him before preempting his question.

"My name is Asui but please call me Tsu. My hero name is The Rainy Season Hero, Froppy." Mask peering back at Asui as she studied him.

"Good name. Onto you Quirk." Tsu was soon showing off what she could do with her quirk. Landing in front of Mask after a particularly impressive set of bounces she waited for his input.

"I don't have a lot to add, just a couple of questions. The first is that while you quirk is called Frog the amount that you can extend your tongue is closer to a chameleon's then a typical frog's, also I'm not sure where that extra tongue length is going. So my question is do you know why?" Tsu shook her head, frowning thoughtfully.

"Something to research for later. Speaking of research you should look into other abilities of frogs and see if you can replicate them. I also have a question for your ears only Tsu." The gathered students and teachers whispered to themselves as Mask leaned down to whisper something into Tsu's ear. She seemed to freeze for a moment, face turning bright red, before violently shaking her head in an emphatic no motion.

"If it makes you uncomfortable I won't bring it up again, I just wanted to check. Moving onto your costume." Mask was saying as he stood back up, glancing down at the clipboard in his hands momentarily.

"Your costume is fine other then the need to be slightly reinforced but that's more of a general problem then a personal one. You mentioned that because of your quirk you get sleepy when it gets cold, is your suit designed to counteract that in some way?"

"My suit has strips of thermal gel in it to help fight against the cold. Other then that no." Mask quickly made a note besides Tsu's name.

"When we updated your costume, temperature control for you suit will be added. You can go take your seat once more."

Awase, Yosetsu, Welder

The next hero to be called up was actually the first of class 1-B and one of the first heroes that Mask had encountered when he had first arrived in this dimension. The black haired youth quickly making his way up onto the stage.

When it came to Awase's hero name, Welder, Mask didn't have a comment on it. Instead quickly moving onto Awase's quirk and how he went about using it.

"Are you able to Weld only solids or can you affect liquids, and gases?" Awase firmly shook his head before responding. "Pretty much only solids, the exceptions being things like glass that I guess count as being solid enough for my quirk to count."

"Interesting. I'd suggest trying to see if your quirk can be channeled through an object to increase your ranged. Additionally test to see if your quirk can only be used through your hands or if it can be used with any part of your body. Finally learning martial arts to improve your abilities in close combat will benefit you in the long run." Awase pursed his lips thoughtfully before looking down at his hands, flexing his fingers as he did so.

"Suggestion wise for your costume I'd look into bringing with yourself a wider variety of items to use your quirk on. Things like extra plates on your arms and legs or a larger piece of metal for an improvised shield. Actually that gives me an idea for a change to your shoes, essentially extra soles at the bottom that you could Weld to something then slip the sole off when you no longer need it."

As Awase headed back down to join the rest of the students he was still looking thoughtful. When he sat back down he moved his right leg so that his foot was sitting ontop of his left knee, fingers running across the rubber soles.

Bakugo, Katsuki, Dynamight, Exploud

"Finally!" Bakugo roared as his name was called. Instead of walking up to the platform he launched himself into the air with his explosions, using them to keep himself aloft until he landed on stage. Arms crossed across his chest as he glared up at Mask.

"Listen up you extra! My hero name is Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight! I'm gonna be the number 1 hero in the world so just stay out of my way!" Bakugo shouted, punctuating his words with small explosions in the palms of his hands. This got an exhausted sigh from the class of 1-A, all of who were quite used to this behavior.

It was impossible to tell without the normal facial or body expressions that so many people relied on, but it certainly seemed like Mask was trying to contain his mirth while wishing to roll his eyes.

"Well from now on your hero name is going to be Exploud, because your both loud and explosive." Even as Mask spoke he made a mark on the paper while Bakugo gaped at him.

"I'm joking, Dynamight is a fine hero name. Just drop the rest of it." At that Bakugo huffed and started to glare even harder at Mask. The armored man chuckling as he scratched out his last note.

"Well you've already demonstrated a fair bit of your quirk so we might as well see what else you can do." That got Bakugo grinning once again as he propelled himself into the air with his explosions. The near constant sound of bigger and bigger explosions making it impossible for anyone to hear anyone else.

Only once the ringing in people's ears had subsided from Bakugo pulling the pin on one of his grenade gloves did Mask manage to make himself heard. "When you cause your sweat to explode, is it done by a physical trigger or mental?"

"Mental if you really need to know. I just will the sweat to explode."

"How far?"

"Huh?" Bakugo replied looking at Mask curiously.

"How far away can you cause it to explode? 1 meter? 2? 3?"

"Never tested how far I could explode it from, didn't see a point." Mask made a note on the paper to get Bakugo to test that in the near future.

"In the future I'd suggest seeing if you can make your sweat explode from any point of your body rather then just your hands. That will give you more flexibility in fights and make you less predictable. When attacking you pretty much always lead with your right hand." It was the last part of the statement that got Bakugo to snarl, one eyebrow twitching as he recalled Deku saying basically the same thing.

"On the matter of your costume I think that one of your grenade bracers should be multi chambered so you can store up multiple blasts for times when you've had trouble producing sweat. Other then that your costume shares the same problems as most of the groups in that it can stand to be made tougher.

This goes for the rest of the class from now on as well, unless I say otherwise assume your costume can be made tougher."

Bakugo scowled as he walked off the stage to rejoin the rest of the class. Missing the fact that as soon as he was offstage, Mask had turned to Alana and spoke to her in hushed tones."Even if we didn't have the DNA scans that right there would be proof that quirks come with secondary mutations. Otherwise Bakugo would be blind, deaf, and missing his fingers."

Bondo, Kojiro, Plamo

Fukidashi, Manga, Comicman

Bondo and Fukidashi were the first of the students that Mask didn't really have much to say about. Their hero names were fine, minor suggestions were given to improve their quirks or to expand their usage. Both outfits passing without a comment from Mask, meaning he thought they needed reinforcement.

Hagakure, Toru, Invisible Girl

It was surprising then that the next person that Mask ended up having an issue with was Hagakure. The floating pair of gloves and boots walking up on stage and stopping a few feet away from Mask.

"Before I get started could you actually turn the reflection on your outfit off? As much fun as it might be to troll your classmates by making them think your running around naked it's also highly unprofessional."

"Fiiiine if you just have to spoil my fun." Hagakure responded just before to the surprise of all the students a pale blue and white almost military style tactical armor faded into visibility.

Covering her entire head Hagakure had on a white mask that left only her eyes exposed. Three pale blue streaks extending outward from the corner of each eyehole. The streaks wrapping around the sides of her head to all meet in a single spot at the back of the mask. "What did you mean by reflection? My quirks Invisibility." If it had been possible for Mask to blink he would have.

"If you were actually invisible, meaning that all light passed through you then you should be blind." The gathered students started to mutter at that, the loudest of the lot being Izuka who had produced a notebook from somewhere and was mumbling up a storm as he jotted down notes at lightning speed.

"Your quirk is more likely to be Light Refraction, essentially bending the light around your body so that you appear to be invisible. Before we get too far into that however let's get your hero name out of the way."

"Well my hero name is Invisible Girl but if what your saying is correct then I think I'll change it to something else. No idea what yet though!"

"Now back to your quirk miss Hagakure."

"Please call me Toru!" She said interrupting Mask before he could finish his statement.

"Very well then, Toru. Your quirk acting as it does for light means that with practice you will be able to produce flares of light to blind opponents or light up dark areas. You can also deflect laser beams and turn them back on the shooter or send them flying away harmlessly.

Finally there is a possibility with enough practice that you should be able to create laser blasts of your own. If you can manage to do so then it's likely that you've reached the limit of what your quirk can do." That set off another round of murmuring from the gathered students, Izuka's pen practically smoking from how fast he was taking notes.

"Onto the matter of your costume, despite the fact that you've been tricking your classmates, you've also clearly put a lot of thought into it. Your about as protected as you can be without sacrificing stealth, there may of course be minor improvements but otherwise your costume passes."

Toru cheered, jumping up as she did so. Once her feet were back on the ground she quickly exited the stage, outfit fading back into invisibility until all that was visible was the floating gloves and shoes.

Hitoshi, Shinso, White Noise

Shinso slouched up onto the stage hands in the pockets of his gym uniform. Stopping so that he was standing about halfway between Mask and Alana before turning to face the students.

"My name is Hitoshi, Shinso for those that don't already know it. After today I will be officially joining the Heroics Course and I hope to get to know you all better." Shinso trailed off with Mask stepping forward to continue.

"Because Shinso doesn't have a costume we will be skipping that aspect. We will also be leaving his hero name until after the explanation of his quirk. Whenever your ready Shinso."

Taking a deep breath Shinso held it for several seconds before exhaling, a second breath taken before he started to speak. "My quirk was formerly called Brain Washing, however after a discussion with Mask we have decided to rename it to Mind Control.

It works by someone responding to me in some way, once that happens I hijack their control of their body and can order them around. Orders are limited to about a sentence in length and can't be too complicated otherwise they fail. Additionally i can't implant an order that will activate at a later time.

This last bit is why after some thought that both me and Mask decided to change the name of my quirk. A hard shove or jostle is good enough to break someone free from being controlled. Because of all these factors I have decided that my hero name shall be, White Noise."

Honenuki, Juzo, Mudman

"Well this is quite the impressive costume, armored while still being flexible. I admit that using a snorkel instead of a self contained breathing setup isn't the best choice. That will be one of the suggested changes to your costume. But I'm getting away from myself, please introduce your hero name."

Juzo slipped off his helmet, holding it beneath one arm before responding. "My hero name is Mudman, which I'm thinking from your previous reactions isn't going to work."

"While it is slight uncreative that doesn't mean it's bad. I'd put some more thought into it if you want but otherwise it's fine. Now tell me about your quirk."

Juzo perked up, whether it was because his hero name hadn't been rejected or because of the chance to talk about his quirk. Mask couldn't tell but it really did cause the fairly dour faced boy to light up. "Well my quirk is called Softening..."

Mask listened attentively as Juzo demonstrated the various uses of his quirk. As Juzo popped out of the ground, turning it back into a hard surface as he exited it, Mask stepped forward examining the cement.

"Interesting, with your permission I'd like to test something. I want you to use your quirk on me." Juzo stepped back in shock, the students and teachers glancing nervously at each other. Juzo looked over at Vlad King who eventually nodded to give permission.

Reaching out to grab Mask's extended arm Judo activated his quirk. Focusing as hard as he could so that only the arm was effected. Mask watched silently as from the the shoulder on down the metal of his armor started to become soft then dripped onto the floor.

It didn't take much time before the armor had completely melted off of Mask's arm, the only thing left being the metallic bones that comprised it. "Now reverse the effect." Sticking out one foot Juzo tapped the softened armor with the toe of his shoe, the substance slowly returning to its hardened state.

The students gasped as the hardened armor began to slowly move, flowing across the stage until it contacted Mask's foot. There it vanished, sinking into the material of the armor, only to reappear as it reformed itself around Mask's skeletal armor.

"One more time please." This time when Juzo reached put to touch Mask's arm it was with significantly less trepidation. Unlike before however just as the armor started to soften it stopped and no matter how hard Juzo pushed his quirk the armor refused to change further.

"That's enough I've got a fairly good idea of what you can do now." Touching the armor again Juzo canceled his quirk and stepped back.

"Your quirk is actually quite interesting young Juzo, it provides an impressive amount of mobility and surprise along with control over the battlefield. Perhaps its greatest use is in the ability to transform a villains weapons, armor, equipment, or even their transportation into useless soft mush.

Your focus in the future should be on increasing the speed at which things soften in addition to the maximum amount. Lessons in battlefield control and awareness would also benefit you quite a bit, guides on basic trapmaking wouldn't go amiss either.

Lastly some martial arts training to improve your ability to deal with enemies close up." While Mask had been speaking he had also been jotting down a quick series of notes onto his paper. Juzu's expression shifting towards wide eyed excitement as ideas that he never would have thought about before were presented to him.

"Finally onto your costume, in addition to the self contained breathing I mentioned earlier your helmet needs a sensor suite with an active tremorsense so you can find and engage villains without them spotting you in advance. Good job on the armor by the way no improvements needed there."

Ida, Tenya, Ingenium

Ida's turn onstage was over surprisingly quickly. Mask having nothing to say on his hero name. The discussion on his quirk ending up combining with the discussion of his costume. Suggestions being put forth to make the armor tougher and heavier with parts that could be ejected to increase Ida's speed. Another suggestion being made to route some of the exhaust from the engines on his legs through various pipes on his armor to increase the speed of his blows and increase his mobility. The final suggestion was for a citric acid injector to increase his speed much like NOS would do to a regular engine.

Jiro, Kyoka, Earphone Jack

Kyoka turn onstage focused on the position of her speakers. Mask pointing out that small speakers on her shoulders, hands, or even into her jacket would have served her better. Covers for her jacks and noise canceling headphones for situations where she would be exposed to areas with high amounts of noise or villains with sonic quirks.

A music player was suggested for times when she needed to work alongside other heroes. The students being confused at first until Mask explained that music could be used to help people focus or give them unexpected strength.

Kaibara, Sen, Spiral

The conversation with Sen about his hero name started off odd, much to the confusion of the gathered students and teachers. Sen had come up onto stage and proudly proclaimed that his hero name was Spiral where upon Mask had started to play a musical score that none of them recognized before muttering. "Rah, rah, fight the power."

Sen had spun in place so fast back to Mask that it looked like he had used his quirk just on his head. Just before he shouted. "Thank you! Finally someone else that knows about it!"

After that Sen seemed to open up to the taller armored figure of Mask, happily explaining his quirk and the idea behind his original hero costume. One that had to be rejected because he couldn't explain how it looked properly or draw it well enough to get the look across.

In turn Mask made several suggestions as to how Sen could use his quirk to improve his speed and mobility. Rotating the lower part of his legs to skate across the ground. The original costume was also discussed with Mask promising that he would have it properly built along with several additions like steel cables to use his quirk upon for foes that stayed at range.

Kamakiri, Togaru, Jack Mantis

Kaminari, Denki, Chargebolt

Kendo, Itsuka, Battle Fist

Kirishima, Eijiro, Red Riot

The next four heroes to come up onto stage Mask had little to talk about. Togaru getting minor suggestions. Denki told to cover his body in electricity rather then pouring it into the air around him, also to get some weapons to conduct his quirk through like a metal rod and a metal cable.

Itsuka passed without comment, though as she was exiting the stage Mask once more turned to Alana and muttered. "There's a good example of quirks not following the laws of physics in anyway shape or form."

Mask was quick to point out that no matter how tough Kirishima got not having armor as part of his base costume was just asking for trouble. Surprise attacks taking him out of action before he could get his quirk going being a point that Mask practically had to hammer into Kirishima's head.

Koda, Koji, Anima

Koda got off with very little comment from Mask, the discussion mostly focusing on getting over his fear of insects to more properly utilize them as needed. Mask also wanted to see if Koda could control genetically modified animals but since the only one they had on hand was Nezu that idea was tabled for later.

When they did eventually get around to testing it on Nezu they discovered that Koda's quirk wouldn't work but that Shinso's did. They ended up with the theory that Koda's quirk had a limit on the level of intelligence that it could affect. Another test focused on if Koda could control spiders, he could, which gave more evidence towards intelligence being the key factor.

Kodai, Yui, Rule

When it was Kodai's turn on stage Mask's suggestion was for her to bring objects with her that had been pre shrunk in advance for any situation since shrunken objects also weighed less. Things like vehicles for chases or escape, barricades to block villains off and other such things.

Komori, Kinoko, Shemage

Komori's suggestions ran to improving her squirt guns so that she could increase her ability to spread her spores. A backpack to hold spores that Komori produced for large concentrated bursts of spores. A few minor other ideas were also suggested but decided to be shelved for later discussions.

Kuroio, Shihai, Vantablack

Kuroio when called up onto stage used the gathered crowd to slip through their various shadows until he could pop directly out of Mask's own shadow. After that the demonstration of his quirk really began with Mask turning his armor black and seeing if Kuroio could control him. When that turned out to be the case Mask went further on to see if the young hero could control any of his weapons.

Some weapons could be used like producing the blades from Mask's wrists but anything that wasn't mechanical in nature couldn't be controlled, nor could Mask's ability to generate lightning. Also tested was if Kuroio could control multiple shadows at once or only one object at a time. They concluded that Kuroio was limited at the moment to only controlling a single item.

As Kuroio descended the stage Mask turned to place the clipboard down on the nearby podium. "I think this is a good time for us to take a break for lunch and let you all stretch your legs a bit. Please be sure to meet back here in an hour."

The hero students quickly exited the gym, loudly discussing the lesson and swapping ideas for those that hadn't yet been called up. Soon the only people remaining in the gym were Mask, Alana, Nezu, Aizawa, and Vlad King. The two teachers and the principal soon forming a huddle with the two robotic figures.

"So what do you think of our hero students so far?" Nezu chirped from where he was sitting on Aizawa's shoulder.

"A mixed bag but about what I was expecting overall. My main worry is the obvious lack of armor on many of the students, many costumes are going to require complete reworks and that's just with the ones I've seen so far.

I'm considering I might need to bring in one of the Forges to provide enough facilities to get them done in a timely manner." Aizawa and Vlad King shared a confused look with each other before Nezu chimed in.

"The Forges Mask-San?"

"My personal starships, I don't usually bring them through until after a dimensional bridge has been fully established and with a planet's permission. They maybe needed though depending on how bad things are, I'm still going through a lot of this worlds history so I'm not certain how one of my ships appearing would be taken."
