Insomnia
Part Three
Incoherent babbling escaped Percy's lives as he screamed while wailing his arms and legs around on the bed. Selene held his arms on Morpheus, held his legs and pushed on his chest just enough to keep him on the bed but not enough to hurt it.
"Tie him down," Morpheus said.
Nodding, Selene's hand glowed as a rope wrapped around Percy and the bed, making it loose enough to let him thrash around, but not enough for him to get off. Morpheus set up while Selene began plucking the feather stingers out of Percy's skin.
"He must be going crazy with so many stingers in his body," Morpheus said, as he helps remove the stingers.
"When we remove all of them, we still have to deal with the poison is body. Selene said, removing the last of the stingers on his legs and waist.
"That's why I'm going to go in there and help him."
Walking over to the window, Selene narrowed her eyes as noticed a flock of Shadow Hawks flying in their direction.
"Very well, I'll hold interference," Selene said, still looking outside. Morpheus went to take a step toward the window, only for Selene to shake her hand.
"Hurry," is all she said.
Morphy's eyes gave all purple glow as his body grew transparent and within moments, he flew right into Percy's body.
Darkness surrounded Percy, no matter where he looked. Within moments he was flat on his back as a sticky cold dark purple liquid slowly inching it way up his body.
With screeching echoed all around him and the liquid up to his waist. It would only be a matter of time before it would engulf him completely.
His mind wondered if it did, could he could finally have peace? Percy thought about giving up up on this whole adventure. But then he remembered Benjamin Mann, a shadow hawk who captured Hypnos to sell the essence of a God that should be free to millions of people. Too caused chaos among the mortals is beyond cruel, it down right viscous. He won't let him get away with this.
A cerulean glow formed around Percy's body. It was dim at first but grew brighter and brighter soon. His eyes lit up and with a loud scream, the light exploded, engulfing the area.
When the light disappeared, Percy was standing in an area filled with a tan light.
"You truly are Poseidon's son." a voice bellowed.
Percy looked around for a moment for a person at the voice when a word escaped his lips.
"Hypnos"
Smiling dust swirled around Percy and once it cleared, there stood a young man with short tan blond hair and sapphire blue eyes with small white wings behind his ears. He had one a teal blue cape that held up by a single flower followed with a gold rope like sash holding up white robe like bottom.
"Hello Percy," Hypnos said.
Percy was about to speak when Morpheus appeared beside him. Morpheus looked at his father and his once stern eyes relaxed a little. Hypnos looked at him and nodded.
"Son."
"Father, we're trying to find you."
"What have you collected so far?"
"A shadow hawk by the name of Benjamin Mann has been using your essence in pill for and selling it to the humans. He must have you someone, but overall he has a flock or rogue shadow hawks with him.
"Not rogue manipulated. He has done something to the hawks that serve him."
The image around Hypnos changed to a laboratory filled with dozen of computers and a large chamber with dozens of wires attached pumping out tan sand dust aura. Hypnos imaged appeared in the chamber filled clear liquid.
"This is where I am in a laboratory with in Sleep Technologies. Remember what you see here and please don't make mother angry. It's best to work with her, then keep her in the dark."
Percy and Morpheus watch the image before them disappear as a white light glowed around them, getting brighter and brighter.
"Its time to go see you on the other side."
"Like wise"
The light engulf them and Morpheus stood beside the bed as Percy winced, welcoming the pain that racked his body. He looked down at the rope tied around his hands and legs. With one wave from Morpheus's hand, they were gone.
Pushing himself up into a sitting position, he looked around at a simple, lit room. He noticed the broke window over turned table, chair cabinet with debris on the floor leading out of the room.
Biting his lip, Percy sung his legs over the side of the bed and stood up, stumbling a bit. He welcomed Morpheus help who appeared by his side. Once he was at the table, the two headed out of the room.
Walking down the hall, the walls filled with claw marks and bloodstains along the wall, along with a smell that caused his nose to wrinkle.
Reaching the living room, there was Selene with dirt and bloodstains on her pants, shirt, and hands as she stood up from the couch. Percy and Morpheus' eyes wandered over the room, chaos hawks were sprawled all over the floor. A few even hanged out the window but the one laying on the couch continued gasping for air.
"Glad to see you two are awake," Selene said with a smile.
"Thanks," Percy said, still looking around the room. He went to take a step forward when he took a step back, as his eyes were glued to a dark spot by the window.
"Thank for holding interference," Morpheus said.
"You welcome. I learned a few things." Selene said.
"Go on,"
First, these are Nyx's hawks, but someone has tampered with them. And Second never come between a mother looking for her son.
Morpheus' eyes widen as Selene motion to the dark spot by the only window not broken. A pair of glowing dark purple eyes appeared as a woman with long inky black hair walked out of the shadows. Percy bowed as Morpheus did the same. He looked up at the woman whose long black dress transformed into a pair of black jeans, with a matching color shirt and sneakers.
"Hell Nyx," Morpheus said.
The woman glared daggers at Morpheus as she put her hands on her hips.
Morpheus cleared his throat. "I mean… Grandma."
Sighing, Nyx looked between Selene, Morpheus and Percy before folding her arms across her chest."
"Now, where is my son?"
