Understandably there were more than a few complaints about the previous chapter. The scene between Bella and Sirin was similar, if not identical, to the one in "Null and Voids". That was intentional as I wanted something similar and didn't have the brain power to top that.

That aside I should have given credit where it's due. It was wrong of me.

So I'd like to apologize to RushAlias for that and give him the credit for that scene!!

I do not own Honkai Impact and it's characters except for the OC's!!

Enjoy!!

The weekend soon came to an end as Monday rolled over, the Kaslana twins as Bella had returned to their residence in Nagazora after Sirin was checked out and Tesla was satisfied with the results from Bella's tests. The main challenge came in what Bella would do while she was staying with them.

Kiana had suggested she attend school with them, but Sirin and the scientists turned that idea down real quick. Bella wasn't quite adept in terms of the social norms. While she may look like a teenager, she had the mindset of a twelve year old, something that Kiana found to be endearing.

At the end of the day the scientist decided that Bella would stay at home for the time being and help around with the household chores, at least until they found her a means to occupy herself. Kiana was all for the idea if it meant less chores for her, something that Sirin didn't like.

Bella accepted everything quite well, she was just glad she would be able to be by her queens side once more. She had hoped to attend school with Sirin but had also accepted the reason for her not attending, she didn't want to cause any unnecessary problems for her queen.

Which leads us to Monday morning, where Kiana and Sirin had just finished dressing up and preparation for school, but it was the sight that awaited them down stairs that caused the Kaslana twins to stop in their tracks and stare wide eyed at the scene in front of them.

"Ah!! Good morning my queen, princess. I took the liberty of making breakfast, I hope you enjoy."

'Princess', that was how Bella had chosen to address Kiana. Something about it only being proper since she was Sirins sister. The herrscher of the void didn't really bother to argue about it at the time, and decided that if Kiana had a problem with it then she would speak up. As it turned out, Kiana didn't have a problem with it, though she did find it weird at first and was probably unnerved too she eventually grew accustomed to it after Bella had addressed her as such numerous times.

Though that's not what had the attention of the Kaslana twins at the moment…

No what really had their attention was the so-called 'breakfast' that Bella had made for the two of them.

…Sirin had never thought anyone could cook as bad as bad as her father and her sister, but here she found herself proved terribly wrong.

In the plates served by the dragon of the void were four slices of 'toast', if it could even be called that. It had been clearly burnt from top to bottom!! How the dragon thought that was eatable was beyond Sirins understanding. Then they were the half cooked eggs and overcooked bacon. All in all breakfast had been a total disaster on Bella's part.

And yet looking up at the proud and hopeful expression on the drahins face as Kiana and Sirin nervously sat down on the table, the herrscher twin knew she would not be able to disappoint her by not eating the food.

"You made us breakfast." Sirin said as she put on the best smile she could as she nervously gazed down at the abomination in front of her, Kiana was no better as she laughed nervously. It was clear the elder twin wished to be anywhere but here in that moment.

"Please eat it while it's still warm, I'll prepare some juice to go with it." Bella said with a smile as she left for the kitchen once more.

Once she was out of sight, Kiana swiftly turned to Sirin with a look of dread plastered on her face.

"I'm not eating this!" She whispered harshly at her sister, Sirin could sympathize with her in that moment. But they still needed Bella to think that they had eaten the food.

"You and me both, but I'm not about to disappoint Bella so we have to think of something." Sirin admitted although a bit shameful. Normally she would have tried to stomach it for Bella's sake, but she didn't want to go to school and end up having stomach aches. "I have an idea, just follow my lead."

With that said Kiana and Sirin made their way to their respective seats next to eac other , Sirin couldn't deny that the food looked a bit worse up close and the smell of burnt toast filling her nostrils didn't help.

"Thank you for the food." Sirin muttered as she broke a piece of the the burnt toast with a cut of the overcooked bacon. She glanced back at Bella who was still trying to work the blending machine and tossed that bit towards the ground between her and her sister.

Kiana watched in slight shock as the food fell into a void portal that her sister had opened between them, the portal in itself was small. She swiftly caught into what her sister was doing and decided to play along, going as far as to add extra effects.

"This isn't too bad." Kiana commented as she pretended to chew, throwing more of the meal into the portal between them.

"I told you bringing Bella with us would be a good idea with us." Sirin said as she saw what her sister was doing.

"My queen, you flatter you servant." Bella said with a light blush as she came back with a tray that two smoothies, "I hope you don't mind watermelon smoothies."

"Did you remember to remove the seeds?" Kiana asked as she took a glass for herself, the smoothie looked quite normal, read in color and all.

"I used what humans call the internet and followed the instructions to the best of my ability. Apparently this internet holds a vast amount of information." Bella responded, Sirin and Kiana had to resist giggling at the way the dragon spoke. Sirin took a leap of faith and took her own glass before bringing it to her lips and drinking it.

The way her eyes widened and her body froze immediately worried both Bella and Kiana. The former thinking her queen did not like the drink, and the latter fearing that her sister had suffered from some sort of poisoning.

Those thoughts went down the drain when Sirin swiftly drank up the rest of the glass before placing it back on the table.

"That was great!!" Sirin shouted as she let out a content sigh, it really had been good. Not only was the taste naturally sweet and but it was cold and refreshing, Bella must have used ice cold water when blending it.

Seeing her sister doe her drink that fast Kiana allowed her curiosity to overwhelm her caution and took a few sips of the smoothie herself. She was also shocked that it had come out well. She had assumed it would be another disaster. And true to the dragons word there were no broken seeds in the juice.

"Wow thanks, that really was great." Kiana said once she had finished her juice.

"There's still more if the two of you would like some." The dragon stated with a smile glad to see that her queen and her sister were enjoying the meal that she had prepared, she'd been worried that something had gone wrong with the cooking.

"Yes please!!"

….that morning the Kaslana twins may not have had a proper breakfast, but at least they didn't leave the house on completely empty stomachs

"Thank you Kazuya!" Mei said with a radiant smile as she exited the limo. The brown haired driver dressed in a black suit and similarly colored shades merely nodded his head.

As the black limo drove off, the ME Corp heiress made her way the school ground towards the building.

As she entered the school building she was greeted by various students, juniors and seniors alike, as she made her way to class. Mei didn't like to consider herself as popular but she knew that she was a well known around the school. Whether that was because of her father's wealth, her ability in kendo or other qualities of her own was still unknown, it was for that reason that she sometimes found herself insecure of the friendships she was in.

Especially at times like these.

None of the bonds she had formed throughout middle school and elementary school had lasted after they parted ways. Even those that still lived in Nagazora. She had assumed it was Normal, but even the few close friendships she'd had in Chiba had never lasted. Mainly because she was quick to realize that those who really wanted to be really close to her always wanted something from her, or maybe just the reputation that came with being friends with the Queen of Thunder.

…she had thought that maybe this time would be different, with Sirin and Kiana that is.

She had only known the twins for a week since their enrolment, but it felt like she'd known the both of them her whole life. The time spent between the three of them felt so genuine that it would be hard to think they had been trying to gain from her.

They were friends…right?

If that was the case why had neither of them responded to her calls and texts over the weekend?

Friday evening Mei had told herself that the two of them were busy. They probably had things to do at home or had gone out.

Throughout Saturday she had told herself the two of them had their own lives to live and thus she shouldn't be selfish.

By the Sunday evening when non of the twins had called back or responded to her texts she began to doubt them, if only a little. After all, this wasn't the first time that someone had only chosen to speak to her on school grounds.

The heiress shook her head sideways at the morbid thoughts. Sirin and Kiana were different, they weren't like others. They had to have had their reasons, and she more than intended to find out what they were.

"MMMEEEEIII-SENPAI!!" The drawn out scream of her name pulled the heiress out of her thoughts, but before she could turn towards the direction of the voice she was suddenly tackled into a hug from behind. Fortunately the heiress managed to keep her footing and didn't fall.

"K-Kiana-chan!" She said out of shock once she saw the attackers w hi ite hair, the elder twin was the only one this hyper and invasive of personal space. Though Mei knew she was partially to blame since she'd never complained about it, not that she would.

"What the..!! Hey, get off Mei-sama!!"

"Yeah, who do you think you are?!"

"Think you can just come here and make a move on our queen?!!"

Cries of outrage rang all throughout the corridor as Mei and Kiana suddenly became the center of attention. The Kaslana was quick to pull back, not because they asked mind you, but because she was pissed that her reunion with her precious senpai!

"Oi, if you've got a problem with me showing my senpai some affection then come say it to my face!?" Kiana shouted as she cracked her knuckles threateningly, behind her Mei's face erupted at the elder Kaslana's choice of words.

"Look at this hotshot!!" A mint haired girl called out, Mei recognized her as Mika, they were in the same class after all. "Look, you're new here, so maybe you don't know how things work. To make things worse you got here on a scholarship, that means you're of a more standard lifestyle."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Kiana asked as a frown made its way onto her face, while Mei seemed to become concerned with how the situation was escalating.

"It means you should interact with people of your own class." Mika shot with a scrutinizing grin on her face, before she turned to face Mei, "Honestly Mei, you stopped hanging us for people like her?" the mint haired girl shot as she looked disapprovingly at the ME Corp heiress.

Mei wanted to speak in defense of Kiana but the words wouldn't leave her mouth. She remembered the when she used to be friends with Mika herself, she had believed it to be a solid friendship, that was until she found out that the mint haired girl had only been using her as a means to secure her future.

Mika's farther was the head of well known business firm in Nagazora, one that apparently had close ties with Me Corp, naturally Mika's father would want Mika to hold strong relations with the ME Corp heiress in order to further boost their business.

However Mei wouldn't have taken this too personally if it wasn't for the fact that she had overheard the mint haired girl talking down on her to her other friends. Claiming that the only reason she had been friends with Mei was to because her father told her to, and that she bring Mei down so she could claim the title of 'Queen' for herself.

On obvious case of jealousy. Mei cut of her ties with the mint haired girl soon after, and even explained to her father why when he came to her about it. Mika didn't take it well, and tried to spread a few nasty rumors about the heiress, none of which got far because there was really no proof.

Long story short Mika wanted Mei's position as 'Queen of Chiba Academy'.

A title that Mei herself never even asked for, and would honestly rather not have.

"And what exactly is that supposed to mean?" A cold chilling voice suddenly cut through the corridor, dropping the temperature of the room and causing more than a few of the students to shiver.

To Mei's left walking up to the scene of conflict was none other than Sirin, the younger Kaslana walked up to Mika with a sweet smile on her face that was anything but sweet.

"I think this is the part I kindly ask you to walk away." The younger Kaslana twin said in a sweet voice that sent a sharp chill down the smile of everyone present.

"Hey who d-!!"

Before another word could come out of Mika's mouth, the mint haired girl felt an overwhelming pressure suddenly press down on her. The air became that much thicker, and she suddenly found it really hard to breath.

" Please." Sirin all too sweetly as she released the killing intent she had directed solely on the girl in front of her, allowing her to gather her bearings and breath once more easily.

"Tch, whatever." Mika said as she turned away from Sirin with a scoff of faux bravado, but the younger Kaslana had already seen the intended effect of fear in her eyes. "I've got better things to do than this." With that she swiftly began to walk further into the school without another word, probably heading towards class.

Once Mika was out of sight Sirin turned her eyes to the rest of the crowd with a glare that easily told them to 'get lost'. Within seconds the crowd dispersed as the rest of the students went back to their daily activities. Sirin then turned towards her sister and Mei as her facial expression softened.

"Are you guys alright?" She asked Mei more than Kiana, she knew her sister well enough to know that she was mostly unfazed from the confrontation, if only a little bit angry.

"Hmph, you should've let me punch her at least once." Kiana said with a scowl as she clenched her fist.

"That's exactly what I was trying to avoid." Sirin said sternly, the last thing she wanted was for Kiana to end up getting suspended or getting in trouble unnecessarily on the second week of school.

"You're, I would've stopped…after knocking a few of her teeth out." Kiana said with a confident grin, Sirin merely deadpanned at her sisters response before swiftly shaking her head and turning towards Mei.

"Mei?" Sirin called out after not getting a response from the heiress, Mei's hair over shadowed her eyes making it hard for Sirin to see just how she was doing.

"Huh? Oh…yes I'm fine." Mei responded with a smile as she shook her head sideways to get her thoughts together. Sirin eyed the heiress for a few seconds, she knew a fake smile when she saw one, after all she had worn plenty of them in her precious life to mask her own pains and insecurities. Something was bothering Mei, whether it was what Mika ahd said or something else Sirin wasn't too sure.

"If you say so, just try not to let what Mika said get to you." Sirin said with a sigh, she wouldn't press the issue for now, but if Mei continued to show signs of being bothered then she'd bring it up. "Anyways we better get to class, don't want to be late for homeroom."

Mei nodded her head in agreement, along with Kiana, and the three then made their way to class. Kiana once more talking away as both Mei and Sirin were more or less forced to listen to the elder Kaslana twin. The two turned to each other for a moment before facing the still talking Kiana and giggling.

…Maybe things weren't as bad as Sirin thought they had been.

~~~
Lunch break came by faster than Sirin had expected, not that Sirin was complaining. Even when living a second life school was still such a headache. Granted she was putting enough effort to at least get a passing grade in tests and assignments, but she really couldn't be bothered to go beyond that.
In a few months she would be learning a completely different curriculum at St.Freya Academy. Until then this was just a means to keep her mind sharp.
She once more found herself on the rooftop of the school with her sister and Mei eating their lunch as they usually did.
Except Mei wasn't being her usual self today. She seemed to be a bit distant if anything. And it seemed that even Kiana had picked it up, it wasn't a big difference, but Kiana had noticeably mellowed down in the way she interacted with the heiress, obviously not trying to impose herself or cross boundaries.
Mei didn't seem to notice this and continued to interact with them with the same plastic smile that had yet to fool Sirin. By now it was clear to the herrscher twin that something was bothering the heiress, and it was equally clear that she wouldn't be coming to them about the problem.
Granted they had only known each other for a week, so Sirin couldn't blame her. She remembered how I'm her previous life she found out much later that Mei had also buried her own guilt, pain and insecurities for the sake of her friends.
It was a burden Sirin was determined not to let her carry alone this time around.
"Okay, I didn't want to bring this up for the sake of respecting your privacy." Sirin suddenly spoke up, causing Kiana to go quiet as her attention and that of Mei turned to Sirin. The younger Kaslana twin kept her gaze focused on the heiress, "But are you okay? You've been kinda out of it today." Sirin stated.
"Oh…I didn't realize." Mei said as she turned her gaze away from Sirin, that only served to make both Kaslana twins more worried.
"Is it about what that Mika girl said earlier?" Kiana asked with a frown as her right hand formed into a fist, the elder Kaslana looked ready to break some bones, and Sirin didn't doubt she'd do it too.
"No it's not that." Mei said as she shook her head sideways in denial, Sirin watched as the heiress took a moment to think, probably wondering how to word what was on her mind. "Uumm…we're friends right? The three of us I mean."
The question caught both Kiana and Sirin off guard, the two turned to each other questioningly before turning back to the heiress who seemed to avoid their gaze by looking down at her bento box.
"Of course we are!! What would make you think otherwise?!!" Kiana shouted, Sirin wanted to scold her sister for her lack of tact, especially when she saw Mei flinch, but decided not to be a hypocrite. She would have done the same long ago.
"What's this really about Mei?" Sirin asked, obviously this ran deeper than she thought.
"…" The heiress remained quiet for a few seconds before she looked up at Sirin. The herrscher twin felt a lump build in her throat at the vulnerable look in the heiress' eyes. "Were you two busy this weekend. I tried calling and texting the both of you throughout the weekend but you both didn't respond. I thought somwthig had happened, or that maybe you were…"
"That we were deliberately ignoring you?" Sirin asked with a small frown, she was more offended than anything but she could understand Mei's point of view as well.
When she saw Mwi nodded her head in confirmation Sirin leaned back against the wall with a sigh. To be honest with everything that had occurred over the weekend responding to texts and messages had been the last thing on her mind. It probably also had to do with the fact that she had been living with her farther and sister for several years and didn't have much of a need for social media back then.
Regardless it had been a lapse of judgment on her part. Of course Mei would try to reach out to them. She had been the one to approach them and give them her number, so it stood to reason that she would want to stay in contact with them.
…she really felt like an idiot.
"Mei it's not what you think. We didn't go out of our way to ignore you. Something…personal, came up over the weekend, a family matter. It even affected our living arrangements." Sirin explained as she rubbed the back of her head in irritation. She didn't know how to explain to Mei without lying to her.
The heiress was not yet to be dragged into the world of honkai. Neither the doctors or Raiden Ryouma would appreciate her doing such a thing. That's not to mention the possible impact it may have on future events.
"So you were made to move out?" Mei questioned, it was obvious that .the heiress was skeptical of the excuse that Sirin had given her, and to this Sirin felt like groaning.
"Nope!! But we had to leave Nagazora on Friday, and due to some stuff that happened while we were out of town we now have a new roomie." Kiana said with grin, Sirin could easily see through the clam façade that her sister was putting up.
"You left Nagazora?" Mei questioned.
"Yeah, our father works out of Nagazora so the issue needed us to meet up with him outside of town. At the end of it all we came back with someone, a girl slightly older than us, who's now living with us as well." Sirin decided to explain more clearly. Mei seemed to be accepting of the story, though she didn't seem to be entirely convinced. Sirin couldn't blame her, there were so many loopholes in this story. "With everything that was going on we weren't really on our phones. Sorry for that."
Sirin went on to bow her head apologetically, prompting Kiana o do the same. This caused Mei to blush in embarrassment as she brought her hands in front of her face and waved them sideways.
"P-please don't now!! This was clearly just a big misunderstanding!! And I may have overreacted a little bit." Mei said in minor humiliation.
"It's not an overreaction Mei." Sirin spoke up as she rose her head, Kiana doing the same, "Given your status I can only imagine how hard it is to find friends that genuinely like you for who you are, and not what you have and what they can benefit from you." Mei's head rose up in surprise, probably not having expected Sirin to figure her out.
"How di-"
"Call it an educated guess." Sirin said with a smirk, causing Mei to smile, "I'm gonna take a wild guess that you've been through something like that a couple of times"
To this Mei nodded as she grasped her right arm with her left. A clear sign that she was growing uncomfortable with the topic.
"Well Mei-senpai doesn't need to worry about that from us. The three of us will be the best of friends forever!" Kiana declared with conviction as she swing an arm around Mei's neck, pulling her in.
The heiress seemed to blush from the physical contact, but Sirin could tell that she seemed to be at ease now. If she wasn't fully convinced, then only time would be able to reassure the heiress.
~~~

Meanwhile far from Nagazora, a highly technologically developed island was floating in the sky. This was known as the HQ of the most powerful anti-honkai organization of the modern Era, Schicksal. It was also the most secure place on the planet.

Within the central tower, in an office at the peak, was none other than Otto Apocalypse himself attending to some paperwork. Nobody said being the Overseer of the worlds largest military organization was a glamorous job.

If anything it was rather taxing, but the blonde overseer was willing to endure the hours of paperwork if it meantt that his plans progressed.

"Lord Otto!!" The doors to his office slid open as his secretary, Amber, walked into the room rather urgently. Secretly appreciating the break, Otto turned his attention towards her. "I come bearing important news from our spies in Nagazora."

Nagazora? He remembered that being the location of Me Corps HQ, with the CEO of said organization being one of the leaders of Anti-Entropy. He wondered what events could be occurring there that would require his immediate attention.

"What is it?" The Overseer asked as he set down his pen and closed the file he had in front of him. He noticed Amber swiping on the digital pad she had in her arm before displaying an image on a virtual screen directly in front of him, but it was the individuals in the image that surprised him.

The image showed none other than Kiana and Sirin having lunch with Mei on the rooftops of Chiba academy. Otto couldn't help the smile that suddenly made its way onto her face.

"Well, well…" Otto said as he leaned back into his seat, it seems his interests in the events occurring in Nagazora had just risen up a notch. "When was this image taken?"

"This afternoon Lord Otto, this is the rooftop of Chiba Academy. And the other individual with Kiana Kaslana and subject K-423 is none other than Raiden Mei, the heiress of Me Corp and daughter of Raiden Ryouma." The Android secretary explained as the data appeared to the left side of the image.

Otto wondered if that was a coincidence or if it had been intentional on the parts of AE and ME Corp. Either way, he doubted those two were not without watchful eyes to protect them within that city. Not that he had any intention of kidnapping her at least not yet.

"Which one of them is K-423?" The two of them looked identical, which made sense since one of them was the clone of the other.

"According to our sources the one with the braids is Kiana Kaslana, while the one with straight hair is K-423, more commonly known as Sirin Kaslana." Amber reported as Otto suddenly turned to her with a raised eyebrow as if he didn't quite here her properly.

"I'm sorry Amber, could you please repeat her name again." Otto requested in amusement.

"Sirin Kaslana?" Amber said unsurely as she turned back to the Overseer

Clearly the was Siegfried's doing. Otto could only reach two possible conclusions, the first being that K-423 somehow had knowledge and memories of her past. The second being that the loose cannon had given K-423 the name Sirin as a means of atonement for something. Regardless, Otto found the very idea to be amusing.

"Lord Otto, would you like me to assemble the immortal blades to capture them?" Amber questioned, the overseer shook his head sideways as he took the cup of wine to his right.

"No, I want to observe them for the time being. This requires a much stealthier approach, Durandal and Rita would be identified too easily." Otto said as he took a sip of the wine. "I want to see how far they've come under that loose cannon. Fortunately we have the perfect infiltration valkyrie amongst our ranks."

"You mean-!"

"That's right Amber. She should be at St.Freya right now. Have her deployed to Nagazora immediately, I want more detailed reports on the events occurring within that citiy." Otto said to which she nodded her head dutifully before turning and swiftly making her way out.

'Let's hope you're up for the task…. Old Friend'
