Granfos hadn't been seen all day, and everyone was getting worried. Shortly after everyone started looking, Setskogen disappeared as well, and everyone knew she must have found him. They all kept looking anyway, just to be safe.

But they had been correct, Setskogen had found him. And just in the nick of time.

. . .

Granfos stared blankly at the wall, shaking as Setskogen sat with him, her hand on his shoulder.

"I lost her… she was taken from me…" Granfos said, reliving some old memories from his rough past.

"I know… but I'm here for you now…" Setskogen spoke in a soft tone. Granfos only seemed to be half with her, part of him reliving the painful memories of his past. He looked around, silently scanning the room, until his eyes found what he was looking for. A tradesman knife, sitting on a nearby table. He began to reach for it, but Setskogen took his hand firmly, pulling it back.

"Do not touch that!" she said firmly, knowing he would try to harm himself if he got ahold of it. She forced him to face her, and pulled him in for a gentle embrace, holding him firmly against her. After some time, he buried his face in her chest, crying softly. She held him still, allowing him to cry.

"Nobody is ever going to get me, or take me from you. I'm not going anywhere…" she said as she rubbed his back.

"I-I hope so… I can't lose you too… I live for you…" he whispered, sniffling. Setskogen sighed quietly.

"I live for you too." she said after some time. "And I'll be damned if I ever let anyone harm you again. We can be stronger than anything that comes our way, together." she said, squeezing his hand in hers. Granfos looked at her.

"Don't leave me…" he said. Setskogen smiled slightly.

"Don't be stupid… I'm not going anywhere, and I don't need anyone else." she said, kissing his forehead softly. He began to relax in her arms, his breathing slowing to normal.

"I love you, Setskogen…" he whispered, closing his eyes. Setskogen felt her heart warm inside, and it filled her entire body.

"I love you, Granfos." she replied, tightening her embrace. She helped Granfos to the bed, laying him down carefully and he eventually fell into a slumber, tired from his panic attack.

"And I will always protect you."
