Chapter 3
The 100 born on Halloween
Ok, thank you for the attention people showed my last chapter I hope you liked being able to get on to seeing people like Clarke and Bellamy in this life. In this chapter it will follow Bellamy's perspective and what he's thinking for the most part this will just follow Bellamy and Clarke but I will centre on others were it makes sence.

Bellamy
As he was backing away from Clarke Bellamy could feel the anger and hurt Clarke was feeling in this moment which was something she was probably making no effort to hide from him either. Being able to feel the emotions of a girl you didn't especially like really did suck, if it was all girls that would be different but it was just the one. There were people who would do anything to somehow get a superpower but Bellamy would tell any of them the reality of such things were nowhere near as good as ones imagination might make out.
Turning around now Bellamy started walking away from Clarke with Murphy and Miller trailing behind him but he could still feel the emotions that were coming his way from her which did nothing to help his mood. For years him and Clarke hadn't realised what it was they were feeling when they were around each other but when they turned ten things had started to change, they had both started learning about certain concepts and well things had progressed from there. They had talked about telling someone back then but they had decided against it, there was already enough that people thought was weird about them being primes and all that so there was no need to add anything more to that and besides it was unlikely anyone would actually believe them.
'You two are really something you know that,' Murphy joked drawing Bellamy's attention as the three of them crossed a field of grass and got close to one of the schools buildings 'you two always make a great show of it.'
'That's one way of describing it,' Miller countered as they all moved inside the building which had a few people milling around inside 'personally I find it kind of disturbing to watch, I never know if Bellamy is going too,' Miller trailed off here embarrassed but it was clear what he was going to say.
Annoyed by this implication Bellamy stopped in his tracks and rounded on Miller 'I would never hit a girl,' he said razing a finger in Millers direction glaring at him. Clarke might push his resolve sometimes but Bellamy had been razed with certain rules and never raze your hand to a woman was a fairly big one and one he took very seriously. 'The princess might be a stuck up bitch,' Bellamy continued lowering his hand now but still glaring at his friend 'and I'm always going to call her out on that fact but I would never resort to violence Miller, I'd like to believe you know that.'
Hearing this Miller let out a large sigh seeming to regret his words now 'I know Bellamy,' he apologised looking away from Bellamy's gave 'it's just I worry, you know the kind of stories I hear from my dad.' Millers dad was a cop so Miller had heard certain kinds of stories there which was what he was referencing now but Bellamy wasn't sure he appreciated that comparison either, it didn't feel like much of an excuse. 'I know Clarke can be annoying,' Miller granted continuing with what they were talking about 'but why do you feel this need to go after her whenever you see her Bellamy, why can't you two just stay away from each other.'
Bellamy didn't have a complete answer for Miller but he did have part of an answer for Millers question, he couldn't feel Clarke's emotions right now they had gotten far enough apart but he did know where she was right now. He couldn't see Clarke or anything like that but he did have an instinctive sense of where she was, it wasn't visual but he could point in the direction one would have to head to find the princess right now. He didn't really want to tell Miller any of that though Miller and Murphy both would probably believe him but telling about this would also mean admitting certain things he for one didn't like to admit.
Bellamy would have given Miller some kind of answer to his question but as it was Murphy beat him to it 'you know why,' Murphy said exasperation in his voice. 'It's the same reason us three are friends,' he continued a heavy amount of sarcasm in his voice now 'sadly Clarke is a prime just like us that's a hard fact to swallow but it is a fact so none of us can ovoid her really Miller.'
'It's true,' Bellamy nodded looking at Murphy and then back over at Miller who had a considered look on his face now 'me and Clarke have are issues to be sure but sadly we can't really ovoid each other.'
'I suppose that's fair,' Miller conceded nodding slightly 'I guess we three ended up at this school because we are gifted as they put it but even if Clarke and the others were going to end up here anyway she is gifted as well.'
'You know I've never liked being described as gifted,' Murphy laughed making light of this subject matter 'it's always seemed to me just like it's a way of saying that us lot are different from the guys we would have been going to school with if not for,' Murphy didn't finish his sentence he just made a motion at his head instead but what he was saying was clear. Bellamy knew what Murphy was getting at even if he wasn't saying it out right, on that Halloween night seventeen years ago not all of the kids that had been born were born to wealthy families. Bellamy's mum for example had been a single waitress at the time however Bellamy and the others like him had started showing off all the quickly developing intelligence the other primes had started developing as well with no difference between them which they all knew annoyed some.
Whatever it was that had actually happened that night to make all of them child geniuses the money and status of the various families who had ended up with a child who was one of the primes the name that was used to describe their little group had nothing to do with it. However Bellamy and the others like him amongst the primes had soon figured out that this was a fact certain people disliked hence why they tried to make the excuses Murphy was alluding to right now. 'You've got that right,' Bellamy said smiling now backing up his friends point 'they cannot face the possibility that guys like us might just be able to hold our own with all the precious rich kids.'
Having said this Bellamy laughed out loud and both Murphy and Miller joined in 'it's part of why I agreed to what Roma is setting up for Halloween this year,' he continued after a few minutes of laughter still grinning. 'I know Roma isn't exactly one of us,' Bellamy clarified because Roma's parents were definitely on the richer side of rich 'her being the centre of everything on Halloween is going to really get to the princess I just know.'
'Interesting,' Miller said in a rather cryptic way having heard Bellamy say this looking at him and grinning 'right now you are more concerned with how a certain girl feels on her birthday than you are your actual girlfriend.'
Bellamy just glared at Miller at first in response to this observation of his while Murphy tried and failed to conceal a grin 'I'm not going to dignify that with a response Miller,' he said finally after a few minutes glaring. Having said that Bellamy decided they had been hanging around enough and turning on his foot again he started walking thinking he would much rather gets started with the school day now as a pose to continuing this conversation.
The day progressed nicely after that for him thankfully, most of Bellamy's lessons came easily to him doing things like mathematics or any of the stuff one learnt in school always felt like to Bellamy that he had already done it all on some level. So Bellamy did his lessons throughout the day and during break and lunch he was able to meet up with Roma who as well as talking about everything that was going on with her did give him a very big kiss which was nice. Things only really began to take a turn on the last lesson of the day which was literature, it wasn't that Bellamy had anything against literature he liked reading in fact and the teacher was fine, the problem was that was one of the lessons he had with Clarke Griffin.
Having gotten caught up a bit with last lesson and chatting to that teacher Bellamy was late arriving at the class room close to the library where literature was held which would have been fine if as he had gotten close he hadn't started to sense a certain someone. He had been expecting to feel where Clarke was when he got close but she wasn't where she was supposed to be and sure enough as he reached the door to the class room he saw Clarke as well, late as well apparently. Seeing her now Bellamy saw Clarke frown and a moment later he felt a feeling of disdain coming off of her which he in turn returned which also appeared to make the girl who the princess was with who he didn't recognise feel uncomfortable.
There was silence for a moment while they both sent ill feeling emotions at each other but then the emotions Clarke was feeling became sort of hopeful which got Bellamy confused and that was the chance Clarke was looking for apparently. 'Bellamy,' Clarke began speaking in a slow formal voice 'this is Emori,' she said gesturing at the short brunet girl beside her 'she's new, I'm showing her around today,' as she said this Clarke's feelings became almost pleading.
Bellamy could tell what was going on with the princess now she was trying to use there connection to ask him not to embarrass her in front of the new girl she was apparently making an effort with. As it was Bellamy was very tempted to do just that but his common sense got the better of him, this Emori girl was knew and he didn't know anything about her so there was no need to make her uncomfortable by going after Clarke.
'Ladies,' Bellamy said finally after a long moments silence bowing theatrically and then gesturing for them to go in ahead of him which they both did. Emori gave him something of a confused look as she did so and Clarke mouthed a thank you as she walked a head of him which Bellamy had to really try not to smile in response to.
In spite of his best efforts Bellamy found himself checking Clarke out somewhat from behind as he walked in after the princess and her new friend, he and the princess didn't get along but he wasn't blind and the princess was actually a good looking girl. She might not be a twig like some of the girls she hung around with were but the princess had curves in all the right places, her hair was an amazing natural blond colour and as Bellamy could see right now the princess had a great ass. He didn't like the princess like that but Bellamy could admit she was a hot good looking girl and in fact if she wasn't quite as stuck up as she was he would probably, well who was he kidding he would definitely go there.
Pulling his gaze away from the princess's rear now Bellamy saw that he and the girls were definitely quite a bit late actually, looking around the mid-sized class room it was clear to him that people had already been broken up in to groups for whatever task they were doing. 'Thank you for finally joining us,' Miss Winters who was standing at the front of the class said sarcasm dripping off her voice 'we have already broken up into groups for the task but Murphy was going to be on his own so you three can be with him.'
Looking Bellamy saw Murphy sitting alone in a corner of the table who kind of shrugged as he looked at him but then he turned back to face Miss Winters opening his mouth to speak, the last thing he wanted was to be so close to the princess through the lesson and he was sure she felt the same. However before he or Clarke could even say anything Miss Winters razed a hand to stop them from speaking 'you should have been here on time,' she said in a matter of fact kind of way that seemed to say that there was no arguing this point.
'Well if we kill each other miss it's on you,' Bellamy said staring Miss Winters right in the eye before turning around and moving to sit next to Murphy, he might have to except this but he could still have the last word. Sitting down next to Murphy he watched as Clarke who was smiling now for some reason and Emori who seemed to be eyeing Murphy followed after him and sat on the opposite side of the table.
'Now as I was saying,' Miss Winters began apparently continuing with what she had been saying before they all came in 'you can't just choose any story for the project you're going to be working on for the next few weeks, it needs to be something that is meaningful to your group.' Bellamy's first thought upon hearing this was dread, the idea of working with the princess on anything was not an appealing topic but then the concept of the project got him thinking; there were a lot of good books out there to do a project on.
He was about to ask about this in fact but another hand on another table shot up before him 'Miss,' Josephine asked once she was looked at by Miss Winters 'what if different groups want to do the same story?'
'You are not allowed to do this project on the primes,' Miss Winters said her voice stern 'in fact,' she added looking around at the rest of the class 'none of you are allowed to do this project on the primes, might be a story but it's not a story we need to be hearing, again.' Miss Winters put real emphasis on the word as she said again a kind of exertion in her voice as she said it which proved to be something of a reminder of the past as she said it.
This decree of Miss Winters caused something of a silence to fall over the class which was why Emori's whisper to Clarke carried more than it otherwise might have. Bellamy understood why Emori would want to try and ask someone about it after that and she was being shown around by Clarke so why not her but she really could have chosen a better time to ask.
The reaction to the question was immediate, Miss Winters right away turned and faced there table and Emori in particular 'if you want to ask just ask,' she said in a stern voice 'you are new after all.'
'Well,' Emori began slowly looking really embarrassed now 'what did you mean by primes, I don't know what you mean by that?'
'You're sitting next to three primes,' Miss Winters sighed her voice relaxing somewhat now 'almost seventeen years ago now something rather interesting happened one Halloween night in this town.' Hearing this part Bellamy leaned back in his chair ready to hear the same old story again 'twelve babies were born,' Miss Winters continued 'in that one night twelve were born, that Halloween night we had twelve only two of which were due apparently.' As this was said Bellamy looked at Emori but she just looked confused 'as you can imagine something like that has led to a lot of stories,' Miss Winters continued 'and I don't want to hear any of those this project.'
There was more as Miss Winters knew such as how different all the primes were and had been since the beginning but she seemed to have decided to end things there. Bellamy understood why though it was all kind of complicated after all; he would have let things end there as well, besides Clarke was probably going to tell her the rest at some point but Roma who was in the class as well had other ideas.
'There are only really ten of us knew girl,' Roma called from the table she sat on with Maya who was a prime as well and two other girls 'those first two don't count really, there are only ten of us that are actually special.' That statement did annoy Bellamy, after all he was one of the two but it didn't really bother him because he knew who Roma was really directing her words at, it was a lie but the princess could always do with a little knock down in his mind.
'Really,' Clarke said loudly responding to that which meant Bellamy felt the anger bubbling up within the girl 'you want to go there again do you Roma do you, do I have to remind you about all the things I can do just the same as any of us.' Miss Winters made an effort to step in here but both girls ignored her which would have amused Bellamy if he hadn't been struggling with the anger coming off of Clarke he could also feel.
'You know I really think that's just an act,' Roma countered as Bellamy started breathing heavily as he tried to hold it all in 'I bet you're just some dumb blond really.'
This crossed a line for Clarke Bellamy knew right away so as she stood so did he 'come on Princess,' he said gritting his teeth as he felt her anger start to be directed directly at him now 'it's just talk.'
'Don't call me princess Bellamy,' Clarke said glaring up at him looking murderess and he knew very well she wasn't far off right now. He really should have ended things there, Bellamy should have tried to calm things down that would have been the right thing to do but feeling the anger he was in that moment it was difficult not to act as if it were his own.
'Princess,' Bellamy said slowly leaning forward sounding out each syllable as he spoke, saying this Bellamy felt a kind of hate well up inside for the princess a hate he knew she would be feeling in this moment.
Considering that it perhaps made sense that was when Clarke slapped him, such a slap was easy for Bellamy to take it wasn't the first time Clarke had slapped him in fact but he wasn't just going to let that go either. Bellamy would never be the kind of guy who raised his hand to a girl especially not in response to something like that but neither was he a push over so he responded verbally to Clarke using some choice insults that in his mind where an equal response. Needless to say things blue up after that, his and Clarke's argument was big and loud Bellamy didn't think it was one of their biggest ever but he would say it was close so unsurprisingly a detention was handed out to both of them afterwards.
Because of this after school was over Bellamy found himself walking into the library which was where most detentions were held and where he had been told to go this time. Getting into the library through one of the side entrances Bellamy looked around the library which was a large space with shelves around a central reading space so it took him a minute to spot where he needed to be but he soon did. Clarke was already here sitting at one of the reading tables with Mr Pike the teacher who handled this sort of thing standing next to her who for his part was eyeing Bellamy with a rather disapproving kind of look.
'Over here, Mister Blake,' Mr Pike said gesturing at the same table Clarke was sat at speaking in a gruff no nonsense tone which showed him to be every bit the former army man Bellamy knew for a fact he was.
Walking forward Bellamy didn't say anything he just did as he was directed and sat across the table from Clarke who he could tell was already feeling board. Sadly it would just be the two of them this time from the looks if it, if anyone else was coming they would probably already be here and unlike him Roma had managed to avoid getting a detention.
'Well,' Mr Pike began disapproval in his voice 'here we are again, once again you two just had to have a go at each other, you know if either of you had just left it alone you wouldn't be here with me right now.' Neither Bellamy or Clarke responded to this they knew they were not supposed to but they did glare at each other each of them sending angry emotions at the other as well that just made them both angrier, Mr Pike didn't know about that part but the glaring did get noticed. 'You see that's what I mean,' he shouted waving a hand between the two of them to get their attention exasperation in his voice now 'I mean why can't you two just leave each other alone for once?'
'Well the person, who started it this time, isn't actually here,' Clarke grumbled in response to this looking away from both Mr Pike and Bellamy speaking more to herself than them from the looks of it.
'Maybe so,' Mr Pike granted addressing this comment all the same looking down at Clarke now 'but you were the one who slapped Bellamy, we can't have you resorting to violence Clarke.'
'O, he had it coming,' Clarke countered looking up now sending Bellamy a bit of a glare before looking up at Mr Pike defiance in her face that Bellamy could feel as well as see.
'He probably did,' Mr Pike smiled shrugging slightly sending Bellamy a brief look before looking back down at Clarke 'it was still just as wrong for you to slap him Clarke as it was for him to call you the things he did.'
'Sir, what do you actually want us to do for detention today,' Bellamy asked letting out a sigh feeling like they had all managed to get off topic just a little bit, after all the sooner he and Clarke got started with whatever task Mr Pike had planned for them the sooner he could get out of here.
'Well Bellamy,' Mr Pike said turning to face him his voice calm now 'I don't actually want you and Clarke to do anything here other than sit where you are and talk.' Confused by this statement which he could tell Clarke was as well Bellamy opened his mouth to ask about it but Mr Pike cut him off 'I don't care what you two talk about just talk, apparently you two can't stay away from each other so your both going to start learning to be at least civil with each other.' With that said Mr Pike stepped away from the two of them and moved over to another table a short distance away where he had set himself up from the looks of it, Bellamy wanted to ask more questions but looking at Mr Pike he knew right away there was no point.
'Well,' Bellamy said looking over at Clarke who was looking as exasperated about this as he felt 'this is a new form of punishment for the two of us.' He would just sit in silence but Mr Pike would put a stop to that and besides the Princess was a lot of things but she wasn't boring so he might as well at least try to talk to the girl in front of him.
'Yeah,' Clarke nodded giggling a sarcastic kind of giggle 'who knows, we might end up killing each other before too long.'
'A fight to the death sort of thing,' Bellamy smiled appreciating Clarke's sarcasm, as he said this he looked in to Clarke's face properly taking in her smile and the moment he did so things got awkward. In spite of what Mr Pike had just said and what others would say as well he and Clarke could be around each other without fighting it was just when they didn't fight they were left with the thing that existed between them that neither of them liked addressing.
Thinking about this Bellamy looked over at Mr Pike who was seeing to work of his own but was also definitely within ear shot so they couldn't talk about it even if they wanted too. Looking back at the princess now Bellamy let out a sigh shaking his head as he did so, why did the two of them have this connection, why couldn't they just escape each other, why couldn't they have both just been born normal.
Bellamy was sure Clarke was thinking along the same lines as him but this isn't what she asks about when she opens her mouth breaking the awkward silence 'Bellamy why are you with Roma of all people,' she asked looking at him in a confused sort of way.
'Excuse me, princess,' Bellamy said taken aback by Clarke's question, he knew she and Roma hated each other but he really hadn't thought she would go there.
'Why are you with her Bellamy,' Clarke said repeating her question not even reacting to him calling her princess this time 'I mean do you really not see who she is?'
'Clarke,' Bellamy sighed using her name without thinking about it 'I know she can be a bit, well I know she could be nicer sometimes but she does have redeeming qualities.' It was true, Roma was actually a prime so she was smart in a bunch of different ways, she was a really good looking girl and she had a similar dislike of Clarke to him which Bellamy did appreciate.
Clarke frowned upon hearing this 'tell me Bellamy,' she asked her expression stone now 'is one of those redeeming qualities that she is willing to have sex whenever you want.' Bellamy knew Clarke wasn't exactly wrong there he could admit the sex part was part of it but still he didn't appreciate it being brought up so bluntly especially considering Clarke's past love life.
'O, come on, princess,' Bellamy spat back ready to counter this 'like your one to talk, remind me how did it end with the guy you decided to give your virginity to.' That was a low blow Bellamy knew and he felt the hurt it sparked in Clarke right away but really if she wanted to go there with him she had to let him go there with her as well.
Bellamy was sure Clarke would have responded to that but as it turned out Mr Pike had been listening in 'talk about something else you two,' he called from his table stopping the argument before it even began. Bellamy would have been able to tell this direction pissed off Clarke even if he didn't have the inside track of her head from the look she shot Mr Pike the moment he said this which she shot at him two but she did actually leave it there all the same.
'So,' Clarke said letting out a large sigh apparently in an effort to calm herself 'tell me Bellamy, how's Octavia, I haven't seen your sister in a while.' Bellamy couldn't help but smile there at Clarke's forced change of direction for the subject matter of their conversation; it was not seamless so the effort amused him a bit. However talking about his little sister was a safe subject for the two of them he knew from experience so he took the change of subject on all the same.
However even as Bellamy started talking with Clarke about his little sister he couldn't help but think about his girlfriend. He and Roma had made plans for tonight, her parents were away so they would have the house to them self's which meant they could do all kinds of stuff and be as loud as they liked. Sadly that probably couldn't happen now because after this detention was over he would need to go home first and his step dad would probably be home by then which in turn would mean he would most likely get pulled in for some kind of talk.
So the odds were it would be on the rather late side before he stood any chance of getting out of the house and then there probably wouldn't be much point. By the time he would be able to head over to Roma's she probably wouldn't be in the mood and she'd probably be happy if he didn't turn up because that way she could be angry at Clarke which was a state of being she liked. Also Bellamy thought smiling to himself slightly at a little inner joke it was probably safer, it was the season after all Halloween was coming so there could be monsters about looking to claim victims.
Ok thank you again for the attention people paid last chapter I hope you enjoyed this chapter just as much, if you did please post your thoughts I would love to hear what you think. Lastly with the chapters right now I'm just doing build up but I promise better stuff will be coming soon, I hope you all look forward to that.
