Kopaka, Toa of Ice and Snow was finally at peace. Having left chatty Toa of Stone, and the (not really) pitiful sapphire, He finally had some quiet. He was more used to working alone anyway. He continued his trek up the mountain, and within a few minutes, He was all the way to the top. He waved his hand over his face, summoning a strange, white, asymmetrical mask with ridges and a single eye on the right, and 3 scopes on the left. He looked around for any abnormalities in the snow and stopped when he saw a small shape in the distance. He walked over to it and picked it up. It was a mask! He dissipated his own, flipped around the one in his hand, and inspected it. 'Angled eyes, 3 slashes in the cheeks. The Kanohi Hau, the great mask of Protection.' "Congratulations Brother!!!" You could have sworn that if Kopaka had a heart, he would've had a heart attack. The shock in his only visible eye turned to annoyance as he recognized the voice. He turned around to see Pohatu carrying Sapphire on his back. "What are you 2 doing? Didn't I say I wished to work alone?" "We pitied you." Sapphire retorted. "Screw you." Kopaka put on the mask. He felt a strange power wash over him as the previously gray mask turned snow white. "…How do you feel brother?" "…Strong," Kopaka responded after a brief pause. Although what was said aloud was an understatement of what was going through the Ice Toa's mind. Just then, he waved his hand over his face. He had to check something. And soon, his previous mask replaced the white Kanohi Hau. "Good. The powers of the Mask of Vision are still mine to utilize." He said under his breath. But soon, his expression underneath the mask turned from relief, to fear. "We have to go." "What is it?" Sapphire inquired. "What did you see?" "No time for words! We have to go! NOW!" Sapphire looked to her "transportation", Pohatu, and with a shrug, He decided to follow the currently dashing Toa of Ice in a run. They had run down halfway when they heard an earth-shaking roar. A giant, grotesque, mechanical, bull-like creature burst from the ice in front of them!! "Were you trying to lead us toward that?!" Sapphire shouted. "I was trying to lead you Away. But I guess Makuta's guards are more persistent than I thought." "How about instead of talking, we get to running!!" Pohatu suggested. The 2 gems (plus 1 riding one of the other's back.) dash off with the bull following close behind. The group rushed back up the slope, attempting to escape the beast, but Pohatu slipped and nearly falls into the Bull-creature's clutches, taking Sapphire with him. Kopaka stopped moving and looked toward the 2. And with a sigh, he slid back down the hill, skidding to a stop just below the creature. "Hey!!!" He shouted waving his arms, distracting the creature. Pohatu attempted to stand up, but the confused creature soon turned its attention back to him and Sapphire. Kopaka looked around for anything he could use to stop the beast! He waved his hand over his face, summoning his Mask of Vision. He looked around. Nowhere to hide in the flat floor of snow that coated the hill. But then his eye landed on a Large Icy Ravine. That's it! 'I'll have to lure the beast.' He looked to the gems in peril and to his shock, the beast was already on near them! 'There'll be no time to explain.' Kopaka resolved that they'll just have to go with it. And if they don't… 'Well…' No time for that. And with a inhale and an exhale, Kopaka summoned a circular shield and surfed it towards the charging beast! Pohatu took a step backward and nearly slipped and dropped Sapphire as his foot hit an Icy path. Sapphire looked up to see Kopaka sliding down toward them. And with some handy future vision, she easily discerned his plan. "Arms out!" She commanded. Pohatu obeyed as the plan fell to fruition. Kopaka Surfed by and grabbed Pohatu by the chest, with Sapphire transferring to Kopaka's back. And now, the Toa of Ice has to worry about 2 stragglers on his ride down the slope. Thankfully, neither struggled. But this didn't help with the round disk-shaped shield's wobbling. He was losing balance, and if he didn't regain it, he and his companions would lose their lives. He could already hear the beast recovering and getting ready to charge at them from behind. Kopaka heard Pohatu inquire him about their destination, but he didn't pay any mind. He was far more focused on steering the group away from an impending doom of possibly eternal falling. Thankfully, it worked, and Kopaka was able to steer the group onto the right path. There was no turning back now. Kopaka bent low on the shield without dragging Pohatu's feet on the snow. "Wait, what's going-AAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!"

The shield dissipated from underneath Kopaka's feet, sending the group flying over the large canyon. Perfect. Pohatu screamed the entire way down. Kopaka landed on his feet with a SLAM, Sapphire simply floated down, and with a THUD* Pohatu landed face down on the ground. "WHYYYYYYY????" Pohatu shouted at Kopaka after getting up. Kopaka simply pointed to the Ravine. The creature skidded and slipped into the large Hole in the ground. "Oh." "Yeah," Kopaka replied before turning to Sapphire. "You knew my plan, didn't you? How else would Pohatu have known to open his arms for me to grab him?" Sapphire let out a chuckle. "Guilty." Kopaka just barely smiled underneath the mask covering his mouth. Then, he walked over to the Ravine. He noticed that it wasn't as deep as he had first thought. And Sapphire seemed to notice too. "It's not deep.

It'll be able to climb out." Pohatu smiled. "Not on my watch! Stand back and let the Toa of Stone make the problem go away!!" Pohatu jumped to the nearby cliff. He drew his foot back, and suddenly, a pair of strange bronze sabatons with golden accents appeared on his feet! And with a "YEEEEEEHAAAAW!!" Pohatu kicked off a huge chunk of the rock face allowing it to fall into the Ravine below. He jumped to another section of the cliff, repeating the previous action, doing the same thing to all sections of the cliff until the Ravine was covered in rocks, trapping the beast. Kopaka covered Sapphire's head with his shield as the rocks fell, and used his Kanohi Hau to shield himself. When the chaos subsided, they saw Pohatu now standing beside them again. "That. Was. AWESOME!!!!" He shouted. "I mean, I didn't know it would work, but I had a feeling! I should trust my instincts more often!" "Nice job. It won't be coming for us any time soon." Kopaka congratulated him. "What was that anyway?" Pohatu inquired. "Rahi. To make a long story short, they aren't friendly." Sapphire answered. The group was silent before Kopaka heard something. Like... Talking? He activated his Mask of Vision, and looked. He saw 6 dots. Three much brighter than the others. One green, one blue, and the last one black. He walked over to the edge of the hill. Pohatu and Sapphire joined him. "Brother, what do you see?" "...Strangers, beings of great power." The bright one had to be the other Toa, they had to be. "But are they allies, or enemies?"

And Sapphire gasped.
