Third Person's POV

Akira sits under a tree and looks up at the sky, a book in hand.

"What are we doing here, it's just 4:00 pm" Pakkun said laying beside the genin.

"I just want to, no reason" Akira said with a sigh as she looks down at the dog. She picks up the dog and tilts her head.

Pakkun got startled when Akira picked him up, he tilted his head copying Akira. He took this time to examine her. The first time he met her was in the Land of Wave... What did even happen that time? Kakashi looks so worried and somewhat frustrated.

Akira looked at the dog. Mhm, he's okay, she guess. She put the dog down on her lap and petted him. A small smile appeared on her lips, she really likes animals even if they are wild animals. Well, the difference is that she can't really pet them.

Pakkun snaps out of his thought when Akira smiles down at him. It was just a small smile but she looks genuinely happy as she pets him. He just let Akira pet him despite the fact that he didn't want anybody to pet him like a pet in a house, he wasn't used to things like that especially when he just met the person. But he feels comfortable with Akira, so he guesses it's just okay. He lays his head on Akira's lap as his tail wag a little.

Akira looked back at her book and leaned on the tree as she continue to read and pet Pakkun on her lap. This is not bad as she expected it to be.

Akira sighs a thought crossing her mind. "It's already 5:00. Don't tell me he's going to be late..." She said as she looks up at the sky.

She is now lying on the grass and Pakkun got seemingly interested in her book so he started to read it. Her eyebrow twitches at that. She didn't know that Pakkun would get interested in reading a book.

"Turn the page" The dog demanded making her want to throw the book at the dog. Akira turned the page as the dog continue to read on her lap.

"You have a paw why don't you just use it" Akira said with a sigh. Gosh, making her a page-turner...

"You know you can touch my paw after this, it's really soft." Pakkun said showing his pinkish paw. Akira's brows twitch at that. She doesn't really care...

Pakkun wanted to laugh. Besides, it's his reward for at least staying with her and playing fetch with her.

He wanted to grumble remembering that Akira really forced him, no, that he gave in when Akira gave him a puppy face. Pakkun looks at the book again when Akira didn't respond. The book is good in his opinion, it's kinda historical with a twist of romance. He actually can't believe that he's reading such a book.

Akira shakes her head and just lets the dog read peacefully. She should have thought that her Sensei would be late. It kinda got out of her mind.

Kakashi looks down under the tree where the two are located, a smile appearing on his lips. He was there since 4:45 pm actually. But the two seem to get along really well, he can't help but watched them.

He should probably let them know his presence, well Pakkun might have already smelled him. He sighs ready for what he needed to do and nods to himself.

Akira opens her eyes hearing a rustle of grass beside her.

"Wow, that's new don't you think?" Akira said mockingly. This day was really weird. First Naruto wakes up early then their Sensei is early. Kami-sama, are they by chance taking pity on her?

"Ma, I can't let my dear student wait" Kakashi said giving Akira an eye smile, which Akira just blink at.

"Why am I even here, Sensei?" Akira said sitting up as the dog lay on her lap just watching them.

"Well...Why don't we spar?" Kakashi said as Akira raises her eyebrow and tilts her head.

"Huh?" Akira said dumbfounded. Really is her Sensei serious? Like, why...now?

"Why? I just wanted to spar, besides it's your training before Chunin Exam. I will be busy in the next few days so..." Kakashi said as he glances at Pakkun who seemingly enjoying Akira's company.

Akira's brows knitted still confused. Then he should have called the whole team... She just sighs and stands up, putting the dog down.

"Oh, well, I'm gonna leave now. Good luck you two" Pakkun said as he disappeared.

"So what?" Akira said looking at her Sensei.

"Well, just like the first time... I want you to get this bell from me" Kakashi said pulling out the bell from his pocket.

"But this time..." Kakashi said as he crouched on Akira's level.

Kakashi leaned to Akira's ear, whispering, "It's just the two of us...Now we start!". Akira's brows knitted at the way her Sensei said it as if he is threatening her. As if he is making sure that this exercise will be really different from the first time they did it.

"Wha-" Akira said but her Sensei disappeared giving her a slight squeeze on her shoulder.

"Gosh." Akira said as she expands her chakra and jumped from tree to tree to find her Sensei.

-skip-

Akira's brow twitches as she stops and conceals her presence. It's like her Sensei was playing hide and seek with her. They had been trailing each other now for fifteen minutes. Then her Sensei would always leave 'quotes' before he disappeared which is just frustrating.

She took deep breaths and readied herself. She looks down at the tree from where she is hiding and observes her Sensei who is leisurely reading his book.

Akira throws a kunai with an explosive tag toward her Sensei.

Kakashi looks behind him hearing a metal whip in the air going in his direction. He smirks and dodges it, he leaps away from it noticing the explosive tag attached to it. So there where she is, she is good at sensing enemies, to find him so quickly, every time. Her concealing chakra is also good, she could match up with other Chunin or maybe other Jonin, too.

In the time that passed, he was trying to catch Akira off-guard, but she was always aware of her surrounding... which is good for the chunin exam, even if there was only a certain distance she can sense him, not all genins will be as stealthy as him in the exam. He concluded looking at the kunai that explodes creating a small crater on the ground.

Akira smirks as she cuts a string. Kunai flew in her Sensei direction coming from different directions.

Kakashi's brows raise as he dodges the kunai continuously going in his direction. He looks at the kunai amusingly as more kunai flew in his position wherever he would jump. To set a trap and assess where he would jump... Maybe after all he should not take Akira lightly.

Akira sighed when all of the kunai were quickly dodged by her Sensei. She should have known such lame traps, even if she predicted where her Sensei would likely jump, won't work on him. She jumps away from that spot, knowing that her Sensei would know where she is from the kunai she threw earlier.

Kakashi sighs as the kunai stops assaulting him. He should really take this seriously. This will be the test that will determine whether Akira can take the chunin exam alone. He looks around and disappears from his spot. He should make his move.

Akira stops running hearing a rustle. It was really subtle but she sense him. Where is he?

She looks around and stops, a metal touching her neck. A figure behind her.

"Finding me?" Kakashi said with a smirk, trying to move the kunai a little away from Akira's neck to not wound her.

They were now on a tree, both crouching.

"Ehh, well you're there," Akira said her eyes glancing at her Sensei. She quickly leans forward to the kunai startling her Sensei. She put both of her hands on the bough of the tree and swing both feet in the air kicking her Sensei hand holding the kunai and his face.

Kakashi stares in shock feeling the cut of flesh as he jumps away from Akira when she tries to kick his face, the kunai he was holding flew away when Akira successfully kicked his hand.

They both landed on the ground. Akira is holding onto her neck, a little blood pouring from her wound. Damn, that hurts a little.

Kakashi stares at Akira's hand holding onto her neck, keeping the blood from touching her cloth. He stares, he didn't expect Akira to do that.

He sighs and stops the strange feeling from flowing in his heart, and stops the concern from reflecting in his eyes. In the chunin exam, there will be more deadly opponents. Stop feeling that way, Kakashi!

Akira wipes the blood on her neck and wipes it on her pants. Akira stares at her Sensei thinking about what would be her Sensei's next move. Gosh, she's really not prepared for this.

Kakashi looks lazily at Akira. "Okay now, why don't we take this seriously now, ha" Kakashi said tilting his head a little and glancing at Akira's wound.

"Then you should stop teasing me, you're the one who's been playing since we started..." Akira said brow twitching. Tch, always whispering in her ears. It's really uncomfortable, damn it.

Kakashi sees the frustration cross Akira's eyes "Oh, well, sorry."

Akira squints her eyes and runs toward her Sensei. She didn't have time for pointless talking, this is what she came here for, she supposed...

Kakashi smirks when Akira runs toward him. He dodges the kick Akira throws at him. He tried to trip Akira but she just jumps and tries to kick him again.

Akira throws a punch at her Sensei, but he just dodges it. Akira just continues to throw kicks and punches at her Sensei.

Kakashi dodges all the punches and kicks Akira throws at him, while also trying to hit her back but she also dodges it. Taijutsu... she's good at it. Now he is sure of it... he thought it was just luck when the first time he fight her in their bell test when she almost get the bell. He can't help but feel a little reassurance.

Kakashi then holds Akira's hand, making her stop the assault. "You know that you won't be able to get the bell by just using Taijutsu, Akira" Kakashi said holding her hand tighter, slightly twisting it.

Akira felt the pain from it. She looks at her hand and smirks.

"I know" Akira said as five clones appears around them. The real Akira uses her left hand to grab a kunai and aims it at her Sensei's face.

Kakashi looks around. Shadow clones? Without hand signs... Not bad. Kakashi dodges the kunai and lets go of Akira's hand, dodging the clones and popping them out in the process.

Akira runs to her Sensei, kunai in both hands. She jumps in the air and attempts to stab her Sensei on his shoulder.

Kakashi grabs Akira's hand and twists it slightly making the other kunai fall to the ground. Akira jumps away from him and throws the other kunai on her Sensei feet.

Kakashi jumps away from it. The sound of the bell got his attention. He quickly looks at it and sees a hand reaching for it. He kicks her stomach slightly making her roll on the ground as it pops. When did she... so that first kunai earlier, it was a shadow clone, huh.

Another wave of clones appears and attacks him again. Kakashi throws the clone at the real Akira as she runs toward him. Clones keep appearing as Kakashi pops them all.

Kakashi's brows knitted. She really does have a lot of chakra reserve.

Akira dodges her clone and concentrates. She can try this now. She folds her other finger except for her index and middle finger in both hands, forming a tiger seal.

Kakashi feels it, the sudden expansion in Akira's chakra. He can feel it surrounding him, he can even feel it in his body as if her chakra was flowing in his body as if her chakra was holding him.

Akira leaps forward one hand with index and middle fingers pointing at her Sensei's stomach.

Kakashi blocks Akira's fingers (right hand) with his left hand, and he stops feeling the sudden change in his Chakra flow. He looks at Akira confusingly. What does this mean...

"Don't tell me... you're targeting my-" Kakashi said but stops when Akira holds his left hand with her right hand and use it as a support as she jumps in the air attempting to kick him in his left shoulder. He stops her feet with his right hand.

Akira squints her eyes and looks at the bell. This is the time...

Kakashi tried to pull his left hand but Akira's hold on it was really tight, also she is putting weight on his left hand as she uses it as a support. This is bad...

He didn't have a choice but grab Akira's left foot he was blocking with his right hand. He holds it tightly and uses it to throw Akira to the side.

Akira felt a sharp pain on her left foot making her loosen her hold on her Sensei's left hand. She was thrown to the ground knocking the air out of her as she rolls and bumped into a tree which made a loud thump. She swears, she could lose consciousness right there and then.

She tried to breathe as her left foot felt numb. Damn it, a lighting style...

Kakashi catches his breath and looks at Akira, concern flashing in his eyes. He looks at his left hand feeling his chakra flow become normal. So it was only temporary...But it still confuses him... Akira shouldn't know that.

Akira looked at her Sensei a smirk making its way on her lips despite the sharp pain on her back.

"I don't know, but I am quite adapted to it. I didn't know when and where did I learn it, Sensei" Akira said making Kakashi looks at her again. She didn't properly hit it, actually, she's afraid that she might go too far. This spar was really sudden and out of nowhere, she knows there was something her Sensei was trying to do or trying to test.

Kakashi feels Akira's chakra retreat very slowly. The heavy feeling in his body also slowly lifted. Kakashi wanted to run to her, he wanted to check Akira's condition. He looks at Akira's left foot, he bites his lip the frustration is getting to him. He knows Akira's foot might be numb now, but it's just temporary. Akira's hold on his hand was really tight he didn't have a choice but put pain in her foot, which became successful when she loosened her hold on his hand.

Akira's chakra retreat completely. She catches her breath and tries to stand. She uses too much chakra, damn it. She smirks and puts her hand on the ground for support.

Kakashi looks back at Akira hearing a rustle. Maybe this is enough... Akira coughed and blood poured out from her mouth, Kakashi quickly run towards her. He really got carried away, she throws Akira harder than he is intended to do.

Akira looks at her Sensei and wipes the blood from her mouth. Dark grey eye looked at her with concern, and Akira's brow twitches at that. What is he so concerned about, it's not like she will die.

"Ma, ma, I think it's enough now" Kakashi said with concern. Akira snorted at that.

"After you throw me... I don't think so" Akira said pulling a kunai and wounding her Sensei on his cheek.

"Well, at least let me give you a wound" Akira said as she throws the kunai at the ground.

Kakashi didn't have the time to stop the kunai as he hisses and lets the blood pour from the wound. "Well, I think that's fair... maybe a payback for throwing you" Kakashi said ruffling her hair which she shoved away, he can't help but pout at that. He thought he could ruffle her hair without his hand being shoved away, he thought she wouldn't have the energy to move.

"Well you still didn't get the bell though" Kakashi said raising his eyebrow.

"Ehh, really?" Akira said also raising her eyebrow.

Kakashi quickly look where the bell was located and his hand twitches not seeing it there.

"What- I..." He said looking back at Akira.

Akira opens her right hand, revealing the bell. Kakashi looks at her brow knitted. When did she get that? So that's why she was using her left hand even when she hold a kunai earlier, knowing that she is right-handed.

"Luck is on my side, I guess" Akira said giving the bell back to her Sensei. She got it even when she felt the sharp pain in her foot, her Sensei was too concentrated on his left hand earlier. That's her goal so she didn't really care about the pain at that time.

Kakashi shakes his head, it was a gift for being able to take the bell "Just keep it" He said giving her an eye smile

"Oh well, okay" Akira said putting the bell in her pouch. She is tired she just wants to sleep.

"Okay now, we should go home" Kakashi said as he help Akira stand up

"nhn" Akira said, she feels light-headed. She covered her mouth feeling the incoming fluid flow in her throat. Her knees became weak.

Kakashi stops and looks at Akira concerned when she coughs and blood poured out from her mouth again.

"Akira!" Kakashi said catching her. Did he really throw Akira that hard? Kakashi looks at the tree, seeing a crack on it.

"I really did" He said to himself as he picks up Akira bridal style and disappeared.

Someone's POV

"Now I know why he is interested on her." The person said looking at the silver purple-hair genin. A creepy smile appeared on his lips.

"The other genin are nothing special. But her teammate Uchiha Sasuke and Gaara from the Sand Village... we needed to watch out for them. Those three will be a hard match." The person said chuckling darkly as he looks at the moon.

Third Person's POV

Kakashi puts Akira on the bed. He sighs and scratches his head. How will he explain this tomorrow... she might freak out?

He just went to the hospital and the nurse said that there's nothing to worry about. She has a bruised, yes, but she collapses because of Chakra exhaustion, also the nurse said that she might be stressing too much.

He looks at the person on his bed. What is she tressing about? The Chunin-Exam?

He looks at Akira and pulls the blanket up. He fixes her hair a little. He glances at her neck, her wound is covered with gauze.

Ah, damn it, their apartment was locked he didn't have a choice but to bring Akira into his apartment. He groaned and paced palm himself. He is really tired. He looks at his couch which makes him sigh again. His couch was too small for him and his bed was enough for two people...

He looks at his clock "Oh, I'm supposed to meet up with someone" He said as he quickly jumps out of his window leaving the sleeping genin in his apartment.

-skip-

Kakashi was on the roof of a villager's apartment, waiting for someone as he looked at the moon.

A presence appeared behind him.

"How was it?" Kakashi asks still looking at the moon.

"We went to the trouble of having a special preliminary exam, but all nine of the rookies passed" The person said as he removed his henge, revealing Iruka.

"As you say, it appears their skills have definitely improved" Iruka said looking down.

"Well, actual Chunin-Exam won't just end at this, but..." Kakashi said with a sigh.

Iruka looked up. "So... what about Akira?" He said with concern. He's hoping for something.

"She passed" Kakashi said, making Iruka look down again brows knitted.

"You didn't go easy on her, are you?" Iruka said with hesitancy

Kakashi looks at him with a raised eyebrow.

"No, I didn't." Kakashi said making Iruka look at him again

"I'm her Sensei and it's my responsibility to make sure she will be ready for the Chunin exam... I didn't go easy on her, knowing the fact that the chunin exam will be more dangerous and deadly, Iruka-sensei" Kakashi said with a sigh. A tint of bitterness in his voice.

Iruka looked down again. She really passed. She would have to do the Chunin Exam alone. And he can't do anything about it, it will be Akira's choice if she wanted to take the Chunin exam or not.
