When Two Worlds Meet

Chapter 2

Dean thought back at her comment of being here years alone. He could relate, since that is how Sammy and him lived as well. The important question: who was this woman? He got up and inspected a novel stand that he had overlooked. He scanned the book and stroked his fingers across the bind of the books and finally pulled one out. Behold it was the book he thought he would never see again. It was Chuck's famous work. "The Supernatural Books."

'I guess she hasn't put one and one together, or she hasn't had the time to read this awful garbage yet,' Dean reflected.

Suddenly, he heard the bedroom door opening. Dean quickly returned to his seat at the table.

Makoto entered the room and smiled at her guest.

"Sorry about that!" She said, as gathered the dirty dishes and put them in the sink.

"It's all good!" Dean replied, as he watched her spooned out the rest of the stew into a Tupperware bowl.

"Alone, eh? No guys ever caught ya eye?"

"No it's not that! Mainly I was too muscular for them." Makoto expressed, as she placed the stew container in the refrigerator.

"Too muscular?" Dean beseech.

"Yeah, I'm pretty strong."

"Really?"

"Want to see?"

"You bet!"

At that instant, Makoto placed her elbow on the table.

"Oh you're on!" Dean commented, as he clasped hold of her hand tightly.

"Don't cry when you lose." Makoto advised.

"Sweetheart, I was going to say the same thing to you."

This remark made Makoto chuckled out and BAM! Dean's hand crashed to the , Dean reached for his hand, because it was in pain. Next, he uttered this subsequent assertion.

"Ahh! You weren't kidding!"

"I tried to warn ya!"

"Yeah, yeah. Hey, I hate to eat and run, but do you mind telling me where the hotel is?"

"Oh, you can't leave. I-Uh- have a friend coming over. She, Um… is returning something of mine."

"Um..okay. Not sure how that prevents me from going?"

"Just don't leave, yet! Please!" Makoto pleaded and added. "You can just stay here?"

"You would let a complete stranger stay here?"

"You're not a complete stranger, tho!"

"Lady, you hardly know me!"

"I don't fully know you, no. However, I know you are needing help where you are down on your luck, and you are in need of a shelter. It's supposed to rain heavily tonight. So, just please, wait!"

"Oh-whoa! I'm not homeless. I'm-" Dean proclaimed.

"You're what?"Makoto questioned.

"I-"

Before Dean could finish that sentence a knock was heard at Makoto's entrance. She went over and looked into the peep hole.

"It's okay, it's my friend that I mentioned earlier." Makoto asserted to Dean, as she went to unlock the steel flank.

"Hi Rei!" Makoto exclaimed, as she stepped to the side to let her friend enter.

Dean noted the woman had on a short black shirt, with an white button up shirt with sable boots.

Makoto's raven hair friend turned to see the so-called stranger. The same one that her brunette friend had specified about. Instantly, her eyes widened. Apparently, Makoto had not read those books she bought for her birthday. Won't she be surprised! No this man was no foe, but he could be that someone who could help them. Rei beamed at the stranger.

"Hi, my name is Rei."

"I'm Dean Winchester."

"Nice to meet you."

"It's nice to meet you, too."

"If you don't mind, I would like to speak to Makoto privately." Rei informed her friend's guest.

"Sure. Take all the time you need."

Rei ushered her friend into the next room. She checked to make sure Makoto's guest wasn't listening, prior to their conservation. In a whisper, Rei query.

"I take it, you haven't read those books I gave you?"

"No, I haven't had the time. Why?"

"Well, you need to!" Rei suggested and included. "Here I will tell you a little bit of it."

When Rei had finished, it left Makoto in bewilderment.

"You're kidding?" Makoto blurted.

"Nope." Rei responded.

"So that was a-"

"A ghost, and that fine hunk in there can help us!"

The girls headed back into the kitchen where Dean was still at.

"Well, I better be heading out." Rei announced, as she positioned the notebook on the small end table. Rei conveyed the following.

"It was so nice to meet you!"

"Likewise," Dean replied.

"Makoto, I will talk to you later!" Rei put forth, as she opened the door.

"Right." Makoto rejoined, as it was being shut.

After Makoto's friend left, Dean averted.

"Makoto, I am looking for my brother and Baby. But what I desire more is a way back home."

"Oh wow! A baby congrats!"

"No, no! Not that kind of baby. It's a…car."

"Oh!"

The quietness in between the two sat hefty, as the seats on the love-seat grew uncomfortable for them. To ease this, Makoto offered.

"Me and my friends could aid you on your request?"

"How? Magic is what brought me here and that's what's going to take to get me back." Dean pointed out.

"Oh, we have our ways!"

"Really now?" Dean disclosed, skeptical.

"Yes. But for now, let's sleep. It's been a long day!" Makoto alleged, as she got up and went into the closet.

"Can't argue with you there."

Makoto returned with a pillow and blanket and reached Dean these items.

"Here. The love-seat isn't the comfortest, but it's something."

"Thank you. This is good!" Dean responded.

"No problem. In the morning, we'll see what we can do. Night." Makoto stated, as she headed to the bedroom and once Dean called out, "Night." She then closed the tall and wood structure that led to her chambers.

Minutes passed and Dean laid there in this strange world, his mind wondering.

Makoto changed into her pj's and climbed into bed. She glanced over at one of her romance novels on the night stand. Makoto couldn't believe it, the one and only Dean Winchester was in her house. Makoto was so excited, she hoped to fall asleep soon.

The next morning, Makoto was fixing breakfast, which awoke Dean's taste buds.

"Hey, that smells wonderful! Man, maybe I should marry you!" Dean declared, as he seated himself and admired the bacon, eggs, homemade gravy that was on his stove.

Makoto blushed and placed the empty plates on the table. At this moment, Dean's mouth water.

"Help yourself." Makoto proffered.

Instantaneously, he scooted out of his seat and began to pile his plate of this scrumptious meal. Dean sat down and picked up the fork and crammed his mouth full of the delicious food.

Makoto took a seat across from him and started to eat hers, too. The scraping from the Dean's plate indicated he was finished with it.

"Slow down, Sparky! It wouldn't be healthy to eat the plate. You might end with a massive stomach ache." Makoto replied in a tease.

Dean looked up and mentally scorn himself for acting like a pig.

"Sorry about that!"

Makoto smiled and revealed. "It's okay, I'm used to it. I have a blonde friend who loves my cooking, and expresses it the same way, too. Speaking of, she's the one that can get you back!"

"She is? Then let's go!"

"Well first thing first."

"What?"

"We might need your help?"

"On?"

"I think we have what you would call a ghost in a location we know."

Dean nodded and slid from his seat, grabbing one more piece of bacon off the stove.

This place wasn't bad, but Dean missed his home. Makoto grabbed her small shoulder bag and keys. Followed by, Makoto and Dean out the door. Once they made it to the bottom floor. Dean inquired.

"Okay, where is the car?"

"Silly, I have to take a bus."

"Oh!"

More to come!
