Caspian and Susan walked to the train station hand in hand. As they got closer, Susan's heart began to pound harder, and she gasped. Caspian clasped her hand more tightly.

"Are you all right?"

"I will be."

Debris still covered the ground, so Caspian and Susan had to be careful where they stepped. Susan wandered along, not even sure what she was looking for, until she saw something shiny glistening in the rubble. Curious, she bent to pick it up and saw that it was a ring.

"You know what?" she said to Caspian. "This looks like it might be one of the magic rings!"

"It very well may be," Caspian agreed.

"Let's hold hands, and you can slip the ring onto my finger with your free hand," Susan suggested.

Caspian took the ring from her. He clasped her hand and then slipped the ring onto the ring finger of her free hand as she squeezed her eyes shut tight. All was quiet and still for a few seconds, and then she heard Caspian's voice.

"Well? Aren't you going to open them?"

"I'm too scared!" she moaned.

"There's nothing to be scared of, I promise you."

The gentle teasing tone in his voice gave her the courage to open her eyes, and when she did, she found herself standing on the rolling green hills of Narnia!

"So it really is true, after all!" she breathed. "Narnia is real!"

"Of course it is," Caspian laughed.

Overcome with wonder, Susan couldn't stop gazing around. Although she'd been here before, of course, everything just seemed so fresh and new. She walked up to a rose bush, touched the snowy white flower, and caressed its petals, relishing their softness.

"Everything is so beautiful!" she breathed.

"There are some people here who would love to see you," said Caspian's gentle voice.

Susan turned around, and there they were - her mother, her father, Peter, Edmund, Lucy, Eustace, and Jill.

"Oh, Mother!" she cried, and her mother was there, holding her tightly, stroking her hair.

"It's so lovely to see you again, dear," Mrs. Pevensie murmured.

A few seconds later, Mr. Pevensie joined them, and then Peter, Edmund, Lucy, Eustace, and Jill came over.

Anton closed his office and headed for home, then changed his mind and turned toward Susan's flat instead. He'd decided to surprise her with a night out. Arriving at the flat, he was surprised to see the talking lion from his near death experience. He felt a cold chill run down his spine.

"Did something happen to Susan?" asked Anton.

"She is at peace," Anton replied.

Anton got a sinking feeling in his stomach.

"Do you mean that she is...no longer of this world?"

"She has returned to those who love her most," said Aslan. "Do not worry about her. She is happy, but there is another who is still in this world and needs you more."

"PB?" With a shock, Anton realized how long it had been since he'd spoken with his friend and felt ashamed. "Where is she?"

"You will find her in the pub near the university," Aslan told him.

Patty sat alone at a table, drinking her hot apple cider. The rabbi's words kept running through her mind.

Always remember that, no matter what, God is always with you.

Yeah, but some human companionship would be nice, too, thought Patty.

"Is this seat taken?" asked a rich baritone voice. Patty looked up into Anton's smiling face.

"Not at all!"
