Thank you for all of your support everyone, and I do sincerely hope that, everyone that reads this fanfic, immediately gets the idea, that both Archer and Shirou, will have a hard time trying to Trace Mecha-shift Weapons. But anyways, as I've said in the last chapter. I'm thinking of getting a Beta Reader to help with my writing, but since it's my first time attempting such. I don't know how to properly do the process for such. So until then, this will be it.

Legend:

"Clean your room" Archer speaking

"Please, clean your room" Shirou speaking

"Why me!" Jaune speaking with his thoughts

Safe to say that, this is definitely one of my more awkward experiences in life.

"Uhm, can you please get off me?" As awkward as I said that, this position of the both of us, isn't exactly the most... Safe, so to say.

"I-I-I-I" And she's starting to lose it!

"Well damn, Velvet! Didn't think, you had it in ya!" Yang! That is not helping the situation at all!

And of course, Coco is joining in the fun too.

"Yeah Bun-Buns! Hold tight and giddy up! This one's a kicker!" Coco cheered, all the while snapping pictures with her scroll.

That was the last straw for the poor girl. She fell unconscious, body heated to the point where it could be mistaken, for a fever. So I did that I had to do.

Gently grabbing her shoulders, I pushed her up. Which in turn, caught Coco's attention, and came in to finally help her Teammate.

"Heh, well that was something" Coco commented, heaving the poor girl, over her shoulder, like a sack of potatoes.

"Next time, try not to tease Velvet too much. I do not, I repeat. I do not! Want another kick to my face, when Bunny Girl gets agitated. Her kicks could've knocked a few of my teeth out, if it wasn't for Aura" Of course, Reinforcement also helped, but barely. As everything happened way too fast.

"Not my fault, you decided to make your presence known, that exact moment" Coco replied, a smug smirk on her face.

"I was coming up the stairs. I was in her blind spot, and she didn't see me" I deadpanned at her. But she only gave a hearty laugh before adjusting, the still unconscious Velvet.

"True, but I'll ignore that. Probably share to the rest of the team, that Velvet straddled you" And with that, she left while cackling like a villain.

"I'll admit, Lover Boy. That was something even I rarely get to see! And I'm Yang!" Yang continued. Making the other students we passed by look at us weirdly.

"Yeah, sure. Laugh it up. Just let the door, hit you on the way in" She immediately stopped laughing... Mostly because she actually hit herself on the door to the Library.

"Damnit! Why didn't you warn me earlier!" Yang angrily rubbed her nose.

"I did" I didn't say anything else. But I made sure to let my smug smirk, be visible to her.

Now, why would Yang be going in the library? Apparently, she and her team are planning on taking a stroll in Vale. Though in Weiss' words. Scouting out for competition. And Blake, is the only one missing from their Team.

"Still though, why do I need to be here? I also have plans with my Team you know?" I complained, though Yang knew it wasn't really meanspirited.

"Aw, don't be like that, Lover Boy. You're just here, to increase my persuasiveness!" Ah... I see...

"She's really planning on using your cooking, as bullets against her teammate... Brave girl" Archer commented. Though I can tell he's smiling at my misfortune.

"Just so you know, you're not getting any dinner from me today" I made sure to kept my smirk hidden from her, as she yet again, face planted on wood. Only this time, a bookshelf.

"That was totally uncalled for!" She yelled while rubbing her sore nose, which garnered her the attention of the Librarian. I swear to Oum that woman's glare can be compared to Medusa's Petrifying Gaze.

Yang fearfully clammed up. Not taking any chances to be permanently banned from the library. Though I did let out a huff of amusement, which made her slap the back of my head.

"That won't be the worst thing, you'll be getting from me, anytime soon... And I'm keeping an eye on you" I raised a brow at her last words. She didn't even lower her voice, so I guess she wants me to hear it?

"Ok? There's Blake, by the way" She grabbed my shoulder, forcefully pulled me to a stop, and made me sit down on a random chair, before marching towards her teammate.

I was forced to watch her crusade... Which almost failed, until she pointed at my direction, which I made an awkward wave at the two. I saw Blake visibly sigh, before grabbing her things and Yang letting off a fist pump.

The two made their way towards me, and I stood up.

"Just so you know Jaune... I'm not risking losing good fish" Blake said, much to Yang's amusement.

I let out a sheepish smile, which Blake took as a signal to leave. Which means, I'm stuck with Yang again.

"See Lover Boy! Even Blakey folds under the threat of losing food!" Yang! It's bad enough that it worked! Don't take pride in it.

"You're not getting Breakfast" Yang balked. Frozen from my sudden declaration, which I took the opportunity to immediately escape.

I got out of the Library quick, and hid inside a thankfully, empty classroom. Before the wooden doors of the library almost flew from their hinges, as a visibly angry Yang stormed her way out.

"Jaune! Get back here you little shit!"

"Hm, you're playing with an active volcano there, Jaune. Careful not to get too close" Archer commented.

"You're really pressing her buttons" I scoffed.

"She started it!" I retorted back. Which Shirou only replied with a sigh.

"Nora! He is not a toy!" I hear Ren's fearful scream, as Nora's hyperactivity caused her to casually pick up another Beacon Student and started flailing him around.

"She got the syrup again, didn't she?" I asked Pyrrha, who just sighed in defeat.

"Yes... Yes she did" She replied, defeated. Her shoulders slumped, and a hand on her forehead.

"I'm starting to feel envious of Ren's near infinite patience. How does he do it?" Pyrrha asked.

"From what Nora told us... Years upon years of being together" I replied, which Pyrrha replied with a defeated giggle.

We're currently within Beacon Grounds still, sitting on one of Beacon's many benches. Enjoying the breeze and tranquility... Until Nora found the Syrup.

"But hey, at least it's never a dull moment in our school life... Right?" I awkwardly tried to lift her mood. Which actually worked, as she lets out a smile.

"That is true... It's nice to take a break from all of that" Ah right, I keep forgetting she's Mistral's four time champion. Dear Oum, the paparazzi and constant attention must be tiring.

But before I could say anything else, she leaned on my shoulder, eyes closed and her lips formed a peaceful smile.

"Hey uhm Pyrrha... I-"

"Don't mind them, Jaune. Let's stay like this... A little bit more." I swallowed heavily. The now constant staring at the two of us, from other Students, are really making me awkwardly nervous.

I'm aware of the feelings Pyrrha has for me, but I don't think I'm deserving of it... After all, the time we spent as a Team... As Partners, it all happened because of lies, and all this deception is taking its toll on my conscience.

She laid on my shoulder for a few more minutes, and the stares of our peers, slowly dissipated, seemingly knowing of our relationship.

This lasted until Nora came running at us. Energy still at full, only to stop and faceplant on the pavement before us. Ren, on the other hand, looks like He just ran around the world.

"Hah... Next time... Hah... Remind me... Hah... To buy more locks" And with that, he passed out, right next to Nora.

Pyrrha and I looked at the scene, before looking at each other. A small crack of a smile crept it's way on her face, and slowly, the two of us erupted into laughter.

"Vale, huh... This is my first time actually" I told no one in particular... Except maybe my two tenants in my head.

"Reminds me of Europe, with all these architecture almost similar to them. Though I suppose Beacon is the biggest European thing, in this area" Huh, that reminds me.

"Say, what's Earth like?" I asked the both of them.

There was a pregnant pause, as I continued to walk around Vale. Looking at shops and other businesses on the sides of the road.

"Earth... Earth is like Remnant, but without the constant threat of the Grimm... But, that doesn't make it any safer" It was Shirou who answered.

"Huh? Why's that?" What could be more dangerous than Grimm?

"Whatever you're thinking, it's not true. Tell me Jaune, what is the biggest problem in Remnant, other than Grimm?" Huh... Now that he mentioned it, I've been reading a lot of conflicts between the White Fang and the Schnee Company lately. Which also involved a lot of Atlas Military personnel being dispatched to hunt down the White Fang.

"Racism? I mean, it is a big problem for us, I don't know about yours" Which is true, as they didn't really bother with sharing their own world's problems.

"That's one thing Jaune. The biggest problem of our world is, Humanity itself. Unlike yours, which is somewhat united due to the universal Grimm problem, ours are on constant odds at each other. Countries, which is what Kingdoms is to our terms, are constantly on each other's throats. waiting for opportunities to increase either their wealth, territory, and resources" Woah, that's a lot to take in.

"Yes, as Shirou said. Without a universal Threat. Humanity will always be at odds with each other. Though that doesn't mean there isn't any peace at all. Sure, it's not healthy to always be concerned of a possible invasion anytime soon, but the true threat lies within the Moonlit World" That again?

"The Moonlit World, or the Reverse Side of the World is where creatures of unimaginable powers resides. Beings that has enough power that a single breath, is enough to wipe out Countries. But thankfully, with the Age of Gods having ended, they no longer bother with the Mundane World. But the Threat still remains, due to the fact that Magi, has little to no care about other human beings. What they only care about is reaching the Root" What? Why would they do that!?

"You're probably thinking why would they not care? Because reaching the Root is all that matters to them. Even if one Magi is researching something different, the end goal will always be the Root. After all, the Root is where everything came from, and everything will come to." That doesn't sound ominous at all.

"What's so important about the root anyway? From what I got, It's like a huge recycling process"

"Well, you're not technically wrong. But the reason for Magi wanting to reach the Root are varied. Some wanted immortality, some wants all knowledge, while many just wants bragging rights" That's just pitiful... The last one anyway.

"That's all you're gonna get from me." Archer suddenly said... Sheesh, stingy much?

Before I realized it, it was already getting dark. So, deciding it's time for me to come back. I turned around the corner, only to bump into someone I didn't except to be running at full speed from someone or something, with tears running from their eyes.

"Blake?"

"J-Jaune?"

We both stared at each other, until Blake shook her surprise away first before grabbing me and pushing me inside an alleyway.

"Blake? What was that for" I asked, confused as to why the sudden action.

"Shh!" She shushed me, pinning me down behind a dumpster and covering my mouth with her hand. A few moments passed and I hear faint clacking of heels, seemingly in a hurry.

She kept me down for a few more moments, giving me ample time to see her properly. But since the alleyway was dark, I had to use Reinforcement to see her in the dark, properly.

She was still wearing her normal attire, but the thing I noticed, is her bow missing. Which in turn, made my eyes go wide, when I finally saw her Cat Ears.

"It was pretty obvious, with how she likes Tuna and her bow twitching, from time to time" Archer commented, which I also noticed, the things he listed. But with how the current situation, of Faunus is.

"Good, they're gone" She exhaled in relief.

"What are you doing here, exactly?" She asked me, accusingly.

"Woah, easy there Blake. Whatever you're thinking, it's not it. I promise you, that I was just sightseeing" I reasoned, making her calm down a bit.

She sighed, before slumping right next to me on the dirty, moss covered, ground. It's pretty dirty, and knowing how sensitive Faunus, senses can be.

"Hey Blake... I don't think this is a good place to sit down" I told her, which she immediately realized, and I took that as a signal.

I stood up, patted myself off, and reached my hand to her. Silently asking permission, to help her up.

She accepted with slight hesitation, seemingly afraid I might pull my hand away, after she tried to reach for it.

"So... Mind telling me why are we hiding from your Teammates?" I asked, finally getting out of the musty, disgusting alleyway.

Blake flinched, surprised at my precise guess.

"H-How'd you know?" She asked, the slight stutter making her sound miserable.

"I uh... I kinda memorized the way their heels click on pavement?" I mean... It's pretty much true, considering Reinforcement training. Which Archer made me do for my ears, to detect unwanted entities from getting too close. Which in turn, I've accidentally memorized their heels.

"Really?" Her earlier emotions, gone as she scrutinized me.

"Hey, don't give me that look. I'm not a creep!" Her gaze didn't change one but, so I just let out a defeated sigh.

"Ugh... Come on, let's just get moving" I told her.

She didn't follow immediately, but seeing no choice on the matter. She moved alongside me.

"So, why were you running from your Teammates?" I asked her.

She was hesitant, her gaze looking for any possible ways to escape the situation. But after seeing me not giving her the chance to do so, she swallowed nervously before speaking.

"W-Well... I suppose you could tell why." She implied, which I got immediately.

"Ah, so you've decided to tell them... But seeing how you're running away from them, it came out as an accident and caused friction, between you and Weiss" She nodded, looking away the moment after.

"Well, I think you two just need to understand each other" She looked at me like I just grew a second head.

"Jaune, are you even thinking, before saying?" She asked me.

"Ok, look. I know that Weiss is a Schnee, and all that. But have you seen her as Weiss? Not as a Schnee?" I told her.

Her eyes went wide, realization clear that she has been biased because of her upbringing. Causing her to not see the bigger picture.

"I mean, she is, but she's doing her best to not be just known as a Schnee. She's doing her best to be known as Weiss Schnee. From what Ruby have told me, she's improving her attitude around her, with considerable effort, on Weiss' part. But it's effort nonetheless. So I think it's better for you, and Weiss. To make up, and know each other, be close to one another. Not just as Teammates, but as Friends, Sisters in Arms, and all that"

Blake stared at me, wondering where in Oum's name I got all of that from.

"And yes, having Eight Sister will do that to you... Especially the Elders are the worst Hormonal Teenagers back then" I cringed at the memory of my Oldest sibling going through her Period... I'm never asking an irritable woman again.

I lost a little bit of my innocence there.

"Huh, didn't think a dork like you would have that much knowledge about reading people" Hey! I take offense to that!

"Hey! What's that supposed to mean?" I asked her, only to receive a lighthearted giggle in response.

"Come on, the night is still young, and I don't want to come back just yet." She suddenly grabbed my hand and pulled, dragging me off to Oum knows where.

Though, I suppose I did cheer her up. Seeing that smile on her face... Shit, I still need to buy Dust to replace Ruby's Dust Rounds I've used.

A day has passed, and safe to say that Weiss and Blake, are certainly giving each other the effort of getting to know each other better. Though Weiss needs to put maximum effort on her part.

On the plus side, Blake is now more open about her Faunus heritage and history. Though they're not exactly the brightest, but they're bonding nonetheless.

Our Team meanwhile.

"Hey Ren... Food fight?" Nora asked, much to Ren's horror.

"Nora no!"

"Nora yes!"

She threw a pie at Ren, but instead of hitting Ren, he dodged and the apple flew straight to Weiss.

Everyone stopped what they were doing, and the deafening silence unnerved everyone.

Thus... Hell broke loose.

"FOOD FIGHT!"

"No... No... NO! NO!!!!" Shirou yelled in horror as various food items started flying.

"I can't watch this" Archer said, before cutting off our link... I think Shirou passed out.

"Jaune! Look out!" I heard Pyrrha yell. If I reacted any slower, I would've been hit by two roasted turkeys, flying at me.

After dodging, I jumped back to avoided another pair of flying food. Only this time, a baguette and a swordfish.

With Weiss still holding the swordfish by the tail, like her rapier.

I heard grunts from behind me, and saw Nora and Ren, throwing watermelons at team RWBY. Causing Weiss to retreat, and Yang to intercept the projectiles. Only to fail deliciously, as watermelons continued to rain.

"Yang! Take out Jaune!" I heard Ruby order Yang, which the blonde brawler let out a smirk, before making a mad dash towards me.

I panicked slightly, before my eyes landed on a food tray. Which I picked up and used it as a shield.

Using Reinforcement and Aura on top of it, the food tray became the strongest of all makeshift weapons in this building.

I blocked each and every punch, Yang tried to hit me with. And even with her Semblance, after I've countered her enough, the food tray didn't even have a dent on it.

I then smacked Yang hard enough with the tray, and knocked her back, flying towards her team. The brief moment of relief, then allowed me to retreat from the front lines.

"I'm Queen of the Castle! I'm Queen of the Castle!" Nora yelled in a sing sang voice as she stood, on top of the mountain of chairs she and the rest built up, while I distracted Yang.

"Justice will be swift! Justice will be painful! But most of all! It will be delicious!" Ruby yelled, joined by Weiss, Yang, and Blake.

We all charged, everyone else using food, while I'm using the same food tray, from before.

"Children please, do not play with your food" Professor Goodwitch yelled, after using her semblance to fix everything.

Except the roof only lasted, until Yang came back down from reaching the atmosphere.

"Haha! Let's do it again!" She said, excitement filled her voice. Only to flinch as Professor Goodwitch cleared her throat.

We were then chewed out by the Professor, until we were saved by Headmaster Ozpin. We quickly escaped, Professor Goodwitch's wrath, and silently thanked Headmaster Ozpin for sacrificing himself.

"Well, now that we're in the clear. I think it's about time we pay attention to the elephant in the room" Weiss suddenly said, after reaching the Library.

Everyone suddenly looked at me.

"Wait, what? Why is everyone looking at me?" I asked, confused at the sudden attention.

"Well... Remember the time you got sick?" Ah, that... Right. From what Archer and Shirou told me. My overuse of my Magecraft caused some, extreme side effects so to say.

"Yeah?"

"Do you not remember what happened?" Yang spoke up in place of Weiss.

"I... Kinda? All I remember was falling on the ground, in a lot of pain, and blacking out" I told them... Which was the truth.

We got in the Library and sat on our usual spot.

"Well, Ruby said that you were suddenly growing swords out of your body" Pyrrha said, surprising me.

"Yeah! What's up with that, Fearless Leader? A backlash of using your Semblance tok much? Ooh! Or maybe, your Semblance is evolving! There has been cases of such back then!" Nora cheerily spoke. Huh, for someone that has little to no attention span she does know quite a lot.

"I had to strap her down" Ren replied... Ah, I suppose that's the reason why.

"But enough of that! Why did that happen, Jaune?" Weiss asked, her intent clear for everyone to see.

"Listen, I actually didn't know about the swords coming out of me! I swear. Though if I remember correctly, I've read about Semblances having backlashes... But I think, mine is too much, to be a normal backlash" I tried to reason, which they all accepted, though with a lot of scrutiny from Weiss, Blake, and Pyrrha.

"Then, I suggest you don't use it, like how you used it before." It was Blake this time. A hint of concern lacing her tone.

"I mean, yeah... I wasn't planning on pushing myself, too hard" She narrowed her eyes at me, next to me. Pyrrha pinched my side, to which I flinched in surprise, and pain. While Weiss gave me a disappointed stare.

"Woah, take it easy there, Jauney. Even I know when, enough is enough" Yang said, a grin on her face, while Ruby is groaning next to her.

"Don't listen to Yang... Her breaks, involve breaking stuff" Ruby suddenly said, causing the older sister of the two, to grab the younger by the shoulders, and giving her a noogie.

"Oh yeah? What's that supposed to mean?" Yang said irritably, though she's smiling.

"But that's enough, were here in preparation for Professor Oobleck's quiz, tomorrow" Weiss suddenly said, to which everyone agreed with their own ways. Though, Nora is groaning.

"Well, I'll just grab some books" I said, and I got up.

After gathering a few books, about Professor Oobleck's lessons. I felt a tug behind me, and found Ruby holding on to my shirt.

"Hey Jaune? Can we talk for a moment?" She asked. I suppose it doesn't hurt, I mean... It has to be important, right?

"Uh, sure. What is it?" I replied, and she immediately started fidgeting on where she stood.

"Well... About the day you got sick" This again?

"It's about those swords that came out of you" Huh? Did something happen? I mean, I remember Archer telling me that, whatever happened to me, can happen again. And that it's supposed to only be Normal Blades, not Noble Phantasms breaching through my skin.

"What about them?"

"Well... You see, I know it might sound crazy but. I could feel that those swords, are not normal swords? I don't know how to explain it, but when I first laid my eyes on them. I suddenly felt compelled to hold them, like those cheesy hypnotism videos" Hold on... Did she say, she was being called on by the blades?

"Interesting. Hmm, I know that all of Remnant's people and Faunus has magi within them, though inactive and is barely there. Is it because of her Mystic Eyes?" Archer suddenly spoke, surprising me slightly. But I managed to keep my surprise hidden.

"It was weird! Then when I held one of the Swords. I saw visions. I don't know of who, but all I saw were people. Then this Feminine Faced Knight, in blue and silver armor. Or was she a woman? I couldn't tell, but I saw her/him fight another knight. Only this one, is wearing red and silver armor" Ruby rapidly spoke. But I was able to get a grasp on what she was saying.

"It's a possibility that the Sword resonated with her. But that would mean, she could wield it. Which she couldn't, or at least, I think she couldn't. Jaune, when given time, see if you could continue to test this Theory with Ruby" Archer ordered. Which even if I could say no, I'm not allowed to say no.

"I see, I don't know about all that but... When we get some free time, maybe we could test a Theory I have?" I asked her, and she immediately beamed.

"Yeah! Maybe I could finally understand what those visions were!" She excitedly replied.

Hm, this is getting way too complicated for my tastes... And I should definitely apologize to Shirou, for what happened earlier... Hey, at least I didn't use food, and only used the food tray.

A/N

I apologize for the lack of an update, last week. I've been extremely busy with School, being in college and all that jazz. So yeah, that's one of the reasons, as to why I wasn't able to post last week. Anyway, hope you enjoyed the chapter, peace!

End.
