Star Fleet Intelligence
OMAKE
"It's been TEN YEARS since the lazy author updated?!" Rachel Hunter complained.
"Indeed, updating at this point is most illogical," the Vulcan, T'lea, noted.
"Anyone know why?" Sam Green asked.
"I suspect it's the official end of the novel canon that the author intended to use," T'lea mused.
"Huh?" Kh'tanr asked, the Klingon looking irritated.
"With the coming of the series Star Trek: Picard, the official Star Trek series no longer matched the books," Rachel explained, "so David Mack, Dayton Ward and James Swallow wrote a trilogy of books, Star Trek Coda, that, functionally, nuked the book timeline."
"Well, shit," Sam blinked.
"Indeed," T'lea agreed.
"So we're officially bound for publishing limbo too?" Rachel wondered.
"Ugh," Sam sighed.
"So we are no longer bound by canon?" Kh'tanr asked. She addressed T'lea, "Is it true Vulcans hide huge passions between their cold exteriors?"
"Would you like to learn, Klingon?" T'lea said, then both women kissed suddenly.
"WHA?" Sam yelped.
"It's a Shanejayell fic. It's his thing," Rachel noted.
"Would you be interested iin...?" Sam asked hopefully.
"Actually, I'm asexual. Sorry," Rachel shrugged.
Sam sighed, "Drat."
End
Notes: Hi, yes, I know it's been years. Sorry. With the (somewhat) recent stuff with Picard, I thought I should revisit this and shoot it dead, pretty much. Admittedly, I might still do SOMETHING with this, but I'm not expecting to. Plus I'm mildly pissed by the novel writers basically burning down the existing novel-verse in Coda too.
