Morning had come around and Tucker felt anxious about the dream he had last night. Was Rin telling him something he didn't know? He tried to shake the thought out of his head, but it was clear that it was going to stay. Tucker made his way to the art room where he opened the door to see who was inside. It was Shinichi as he was the only one that was there. He looked up to see Tucker standing outside with a perplexed look to his face.
"Come on in." Shinichi told Tucker. Tucker sheepishly walked into the room as he still had his belongings from the day before with him. Tucker then sat down at his favorite spot while Shinichi was watching him. "Mr. Kagami, you seem a bit off, is something bothering you?" Shinichi asked. Tucker knew he had to bring up the dream he had last night.
"Mr. Noyima, it is what I dreamt of." Tucker began. Shinichi looked at him as if he was curious about what he was talking about.
"What was it about?" Shinichi asked Tucker if he was able to remember the dream he had.
"It was about me and Rin, we raced through an orchard, a plain and some wheat. We stopped before she looked at me with a big smile on her face. My arm was normal, and Rin looked like she had arms and hands. She seemed to be really happy about something and she said she wanted to make the moment last forever. I am still unsure about what she meant by "forever"." Tucker admitted as if he was blurting out the dream to Shinichi. Could it be what Rin said the day before about them getting together? Shinichi adjusted his glasses.
"I'm not entirely sure either. I will have to see this while the class is going on." Shinichi explained to Tucker. The door opened as Rin walked inside. She felt puzzled.
"I'm probably hearing things." Rin began as she shrugged her shoulders. Rin sat down next to Tucker while she began trying to figure out what she wanted to say next.
"Did you hear anything too?" Tucker curiously asked Rin. Rin began to think about something, but she decided to bring up something different.
"Tucker, I spoke to Eleanor and she's… probably the type that Shinichi likes as much as me." Rin began. She had interacted with his little sister.
"How did it go?" Tucker asked Rin. They had a few minutes left before class started so they might as well make the conversation count. Rin began to think about what she was going to say next.
"Well, it went like we were shrews bumping into each other." Rin began. Same results from when she first met Tucker. "Shinichi really seems to like her for her talent and it seems to me I might have some competition."
"Eleanor is the artist and not me." Tucker added to the joke. This gets a slight giggle from Rin.
"I know she is. I wanted to tell you that. We kind of ended up talking about you." Rin added on. The doors began to swing open as the rest of the class began to trickle in for the morning.
"What was it about?" Tucker asked. Rin paused as she tried to remember what the conversation was about.
"Nothing that I remember telling her, but she seemed to be impressed by my paintings. She asked if she could take it up one day?" Rin tried her best to speak about it. Tucker looked at Rin as she was looking away from him. It was clear something was beginning to bother her.
"Is there something wrong Rin?" Tucker asked curiously. Rin tried her best to shake the feeling off of her, but it was beginning to linger. "Do you want to continue painting?" Once again nothing. Rin just said nothing. Shinichi decided to get the student's attention.
"Good morning, everyone. We'll be resuming in our usual groups as we're approaching the deadline, just a few more weeks left before vacation. Let's put in the effort and get this ball rolling." Shinichi did his best to rally the class together. Tucker got out the cat he had around with him as he went back to sketching the picture. Rin had a blank canvas delivered to her as the one she was working on previously had been completed.
Tucker was busy drawing his set as Rin seemed to be idle. She had no paint with her and all she was doing was staring at a blank canvas, she didn't know what she wanted to do. Shinichi walked over as Tucker decided to flag him down.
"Hey Mr. Nomiya, can I ask you a question?" Tucker asked Shinichi.
"Sure, what is it?" Shinichi asked.
"Do you ever get the feeling of your brain fogging up and you can't think of anything?" Tucker asked. Shinichi began to think about it as he wasn't sure what exactly Tucker was trying to say.
"I don't think I've had any brain fogs as of recently but those can happen to even the most talented people." Shinichi began speaking to him about these brain fog. "It can be frustrating to see someone not be able to do anything as they can't have a thought in their heads." Tucker looked out the window while looking at the weather. It seemed to be very cloudy outside. The clouds were white, but he wasn't sure if they were going to get darker as time went on.
"Could the brain fog be like the clouds?" Tucker asked. Shinichi shrugged his shoulders as he didn't know what to say.
"Maybe, I'm not entirely sure." Shinichi replied to Tucker's question. Rin's stress had been building up as the conversation went on. She felt like she was at a breaking point. Rin placed her feet to her head.
"I don't know what I want to do!" Rin cried out. Shinichi and Tucker turned their heads as if they were surprised. "I can't think of anything." It was clear that Rin had finally snapped a bit. The entire class looked at her as if they had been curious to see what Rin was talking about. The class sat in silence, Rin got up and decided to leave the room to cool herself off. Tucker and the class didn't know what they wanted to do next.
"Should someone go after her to make sure she's, okay?" Tucker asked Shinichi if someone should try to calm Rin down and figure out what she was going through.
"Some of us are wimps. But if you seem to be brave enough. You can figure out what is wrong with her." Shinichi told Tucker. Tucker got up and decided to leave the room. Hopefully Rin didn't go too far.
Katawa Shoujo- Breathlessly
Tucker headed down the hallway and his hopes were pretty clear. Rin hadn't gone far as she was huddled up in a corner and trying to figure out what to do. She looked up as she heard footsteps. She turned her head to just see Tucker. He stood there almost if he wanted to speak to her, but he felt hesitant about going first.
"Is there something wrong with you too?" Rin asked Tucker why he was out there and not in the classroom.
"I wanted to check up on you. I noticed you must have shouted something." Tucker began. Rin looked at him as if she didn't know what to say now. She eventually gathered up the courage and she faced him.
"I'm out of ideas, I don't know what to paint." Rin explained. She found this very stressful as she had no idea what to do next. Tucker felt his classmate under some immense stress. He had to figure out what to do.
"Is there anything else you want to do?" Tucker asked Rin. Rin didn't say anything but instead she got up.
"I need some time alone; I won't be visiting you on the rooftop. You can gather my things if you wish." Rin told Tucker she needed her space. Tucker got up and decided to head back to the art room.
"Stay here." Tucker instructed Rin. Tucker walked back in and realized he didn't have much time left on the clock, so he packed Rin's and his belongings up before handing the stuff he borrowed back to Shinichi. "Rin's not doing too well. I've gathered her belongings up to take to her. She wishes to be alone." Tucker explained to Shinichi that his best painter wasn't doing too well.
"Okay, I can understand, take care." Shinichi told Tucker. Tucker left the room as he got back to Rin. Rin had been waiting around when she spotted Tucker. He had her belongings.
"Shinichi told me he understood and decided to let us out early." Tucker told Rin about the situation. Rin looked at him and she nodded.
"Thanks." Rin told Tucker. She gathered her belongings and left the scene. She definitely wanted some space to herself. Tucker decided to head off for his next class.
Tucker felt that he had to move back a few spaces when it came to Rin but if she wanted to be alone, he couldn't blame her for it. Lunch time came around and Rin didn't invite him to the rooftop. Well, he didn't want to eat with Misha and Shizune so that left him with one other place to go, the tearoom. Tucker went to the entrance of the tearoom before he knocked on the door.
"Come in." Lilly's gentle voice told whoever it was that was at the door. The door opened as Tucker came in. It was just Lilly and Hanako today. Lilly sensed something was clearly wrong with Tucker. Tucker unpacked his lunch and began eating.
"Is there something wrong?" Lilly asked Tucker. Tucker just sighed before he closed his eyes.
"Rin had a bit of a breakdown in the art classroom today and she said she needed some time to herself and that we can't have lunch on the rooftop. I came to you in the hope of getting to know people better." Tucker did his best to explain what exactly happened regarding him and Rin that morning. Hanako was studying some of the chess pieces before she began speaking.
"I know how hard it must be for you to lose someone that you were close to, although Rin wants her space for the time being, I think it's better that way instead of doing something that might impair a relationship. Trust me." Hanako explained to Tucker. Tucker began to think about Rin and what they were going to say next if they met up again. He began to worry at the possibility of her getting angry or upset.
"I just hope Rin is doing okay, sensing she has cooled down." Tucker told Hanako. Hanako got up as she was preparing to head off somewhere.
"I'm heading to the library to exchange books, want to come with me?" Hanako asked Tucker. Tucker finished his lunch before he decided to follow her.
"I actually planned on going there." Tucker told Hanako that he wanted to head to the library as a means of finding something to read later on.
"That's fine. Follow me." Hanako told Tucker. The two of them began to walk out of the tearoom as they were going to strike up a conversation.
"So Hanako, Lilly said she was heading out of town?" Tucker began. Hanako listened in as this was catching her interest.
"Yeah, just yesterday, I think we told Eleanor about it and not you." Hanako explained. Tucker wasn't quick to pick up this type of news, but his little sister was, however.
"So, what did Lilly say she needed to buy?" Tucker asked Hanako if she knew anything about what Lilly was going to do. Finally, after some thinking. Hanako began speaking.
"Well Lilly said she had to meet up with her sister Akira and their young cousin Hideaki Hakamichi. They went shopping but the only thing they told me about was the music box. They didn't tell me what else they got." Hanako did her best to explain what exactly happened. Tucker nodded before he began speaking.
"Is there anything special coming up that they went shopping for?" Tucker asked curiously. Hanako began thinking about the event that was coming up which would call for them to go looking for presents. She walked along before she began speaking.
"My birthday." Hanako told Tucker. Tucker blushed slightly after hearing about it.
"Do you want me to get you a present?" Tucker asked Hanako. Hanako began to think about it before she began speaking.
"No, you're fine." Hanako told Tucker. Hanako opened the door for him, and they both walked into the library. Yuuko was busy behind the desk working on something before she turned to see the two students having just arrived. Yuuko decided to greet them.
Katawa Shoujo- Everyday Fantasy
"Tucker and Hanako, pleasure to see the both of you." Yuuko began. Hanako placed the book down that she was returning. Tucker looked ahead before he began speaking to Yuuko.
"Anything I can take from here?" Tucker asked. Yuuko looked at him with a bit of a bashful smile.
"You can take anything you wish but let me ring it up so I can give you a return date." Yuuko told Tucker about it. Tucker nodded as he and Hanako prepared to look for books. When given the chance, they decided to set off to look for something to borrow.
"See anything you like?" Hanako asked Tucker. She ran her fingers through the books to see which one she was going to pick out.
"Uhhh…" Tucker began. There were a lot of books he could choose from. He was lost and was looking for something to pick out. There were many interesting choices to pick from. Tucker picked out a book and began to open it up. "Does this sound interesting to you?" Hanako walked over before she opened the book and began to read it. There were various snakes traveling down their steel paths with smoke pouring out of the top and the big metal cylinders. Hanako seemed excited.
"Me and Lilly love these steam giants." Hanako told Tucker as they kept flipping through the pages of the book. Then they spotted something, a little slip of paper in the book. Tucker took it out and decided to unfold it to see what it read.
"Tucker, there is something I want Yuuko to talk to you about. I kind of regret having snapped at you and I wanted to make it up to you. Rin Tezuka." Tucker read to himself. He needed to figure out what Rin had said. He decided to grab the book and headed over once Hanako picked out the books she needed. Tucker sets his book down before he begins speaking. "Hey Yuuko, I got a slip of paper in my book, do you know what it is?" Tucker asked. Yuuko grabbed the piece of paper and began to read it over. Once she was done reading, she placed it down and she began to speak.
"Tucker, there is something I wish for you to talk about regarding the note that Rin left for you whether you found it or not." Yuuko began. "She said she came here as she ran out of ideas for her paintings and needed a way to cool off. She wasn't in her classes for much of the morning and we ended up chatting. She said she was sorry for yelling at you and she wanted to take you out with her to smooth out tensions between you and her." Tucker began to think. Rin definitely wanted to spend time with him but what was it that they needed to say to each other?
"Where do you think we should meet?" Tucker asked Yuuko if she had any ideas. Yuuko began to think about where they could meet before she came up with the place.
"I work part time at a cafe known as the Shanghai. I'm heading over there tonight, and I was hoping for you and Rin could spend time there." Yuuko told them about the plan. Tucker nodded as he wondered when he needed to be ready.
"When do you think me, and Rin should arrive?" Tucker asked Yuuko if she had any ideas when they should come.
"You can come anytime you wish. I'll be there." Yuuko told Tucker. Tucker handed the book over as Yuuko wrote down the return date. Hanako handed her books over as Yuuko did the same thing. Once they gathered their belongings, they turned and walked out.
"I'll come this afternoon." Tucker promised to Yuuko. Yuuko waved her hand as if she was telling them to have a nice day. Tucker knew he definitely had to get ready.
Afternoon came as Tucker had finished doing the homework for the day and he made sure to look nice. There was a knock on the door as someone was trying to get in. Once Tucker was finished, he walked over to the door and opened it. Outside was Emi.
"Hey you're ready. Rin is waiting for you at the end of the hallway." Emi told Tucker about it. Tucker nodded as he was grateful for the instructions.
"Thank you." Tucker told Emi, Tucker stepped out, closed the door behind him and locked the door. They traveled down the hallway to see that Rin was standing by. She looked at Tucker as if she had cooled off for a bit.
"Hey Tucker, do you accept my apology?" Rin asked Tucker.
"Apology is accepted, I wasn't expecting you to give a note to me." Tucker replied to Rin's question.
"I had to speak to Yuuko about it and I tried looking through some of the books to find inspirations for painting and I just kept reading, nothing really seemed to stick with me." Rin told Tucker about it. Nothing seemed to hold for her. Tucker nodded as if it was a sign that his friend was in trouble.
"Yeah yeah. Let's go then." Emi told the two of them. Rin and Tucker seemed to have been rudely cut off but Emi was in a rush, so they didn't want to bother her by holding her up.
The three of them were walking along the sidewalk to the Shanghai as Emi was leading the way. Tucker was nervous and Rin was trying to think of conversation topics that they were going to speak to each other about. All they tried to speak to each other about was the weather as it was unusually cloudy. Emi was growing impatient.
"How much longer until we get there?" Emi whined. Tucker didn't know as he had never been there, and Rin shrugged her shoulders.
"Only a couple more blocks, you said this was some kind of picnic, right?" Rin asked as she tried to have some humor to the situation.
"Of course, it is Rin. How would you ask?" Emi playfully teased her friend. Rin shrugged before Tucker felt something fall onto his head.
"Did any of you feel that?" Tucker asked. Rin and Emi ignored his question, and they kept walking. Another drop was felt. "Hey, I'm not playing, I want to ask if any of you feel that?" Tucker jogged up as he had stopped briefly. He caught up as Rin looked at him.
"I don't feel anything." Rin told Tucker that she felt nothing. Within a moment, Rin felt something wet hit her, almost as if she had felt a drop of saliva from a hungry dragon. She looked up as the black clouds had blocked out the sun. Then she felt another drop, then another, and another. Within a few seconds, the drops of water began to fall from the black skies.
"It's raining!" Emi squealed. Tucker, Emi and Rin began to get downpour as the rain fell from the sky.
"We have to hurry." Tucker playfully added, the three of them took off running as they didn't want to get touched by what seemed to be clear lava from the sky above. Fortunately, they didn't have much distance to run to as they were close to the Shanghai when the rain began to pour. Tucker opened the door as the two girls entered with Tucker closing the door behind him. "Are you two alright?" Tucker asked them. Emi was shaking the rainwater out of her hair.
"I wasn't expecting it to rain." Emi told Tucker that this wasn't what she wanted. Rin seemed the least drenched out of the three despite Emi being the fastest of the team.
"Well, we're here." Rin told Tucker and Emi; the Shanghai wasn't a very big cafe, but it certainly looked busy. Emi leads them both to a table in the corner where they try to dry themselves off.
Katawa Shoujo- Red Velvet
"It's a neat little place that I haven't been told about before." Tucker began. He didn't know such a place like this existed. A familiar face came to the table as she was dressed in the cafe's uniform.
"Hey you showed up." Yuuko's voice told them. Tucker looked up to see the librarian was also working there.
"You definitely look nice, Miss Shirakawa." Tucker complimented Yuuko's uniform. Yuuko smiled before she handed out the menus. There were various tea and sweets they could order from.
"How can I help you three?" Yuuko would ask. "I got strawberry cake, lemon meringue pie and raspberry layer cake as well as assorted sweets." Tucker began to think about it while Emi began trying to make up her mind.
"Strawberry and Lemon, I wish to have." Emi began. Tucker nodded as it looked like Emi was up for a challenge. Tucker meanwhile turned to see what Rin wanted.
"Anything you want?" Tucker asked Rin.
"Nothing really, I'm not into sweets." Rin answered Tucker back. "I would just like a straw for my feet since they are wet." Tucker got confused for a second, what did Rin need a straw for?
"A straw?" Yuuko asked in confusion. Tucker was quick to tell Yuuko about it.
"I think Rin is saying she wants a drinking straw. I also want a couple pieces of blondies with my tea." Tucker added. He didn't want much compared to Emi but at the same time, nothing compared to Rin. Yuuko nodded before she bowed. She walked off to get the items she needed.
"I'll be back." Yuuko told the three of them. Tucker nodded as Yuuko was being formal. He decided to take a look at his surroundings. It quickly became crowded as people were sitting at the tables and they were now happy to be out of the rain. The conversations he was able to pick up were pieces of the lousy weather and how it ruined their day or what their homework was going to be. Tucker knew he wanted to read the book he borrowed from the library when he got back to his dorm. He seemed to be relaxed as the sound of a saxophone was playing a solo in the background followed by the keys of a piano. It wasn't even a few minutes as Yuuko returned to the table carrying what they ordered. A slice of cake, a slice of pie, a couple of blondies, three teacups and saucers and a teapot. Afterward she hands out everything before heading off to serve the other customers. Emi was hungrily staring at her strawberry cake, but she waited until Yuuko was out of sight and Tucker had finished setting everything up. He took Rin's straw and placed it into the white China cup.
Emi began devouring her cake as if she was pretty hungry while Tucker was content on pouring himself, Emi and Rin their tea. Rin seemed to be deep in her thoughts while Tucker did his best to content himself from going wild like Emi. Tucker stirred the tea around to let it cool off for a bit while Rin was staring at the swirling tea, almost as if it was hypnotizing her. Tucker knew he wanted to try his blondies. He picked up a slice and took a bite out of it. It had chocolate chips and pieces of walnuts in it. It wasn't overly sweet and that was a good thing. Emi was digging into her cake as if she hadn't seen a slice of it her entire life. Rin was drinking her tea through a straw as Emi began speaking.
"Iff ver' good." Emi was trying to talk with a mouthful of cake though her words weren't clearly read. Tucker looked on as Rin was still drinking her tea. She was still deep in her thoughts while trying to find out what she was going to say next. Eventually Rin decided to work up the courage to speak.
"Hey Tucker?" Rin whispered to him.
"What is it Rin?" Tucker decided to ask back. Rin paused as she tried to figure out what to say next.
"Can I talk to you on the way back, there is something I wish to speak to you about." Rin whispered to Tucker; she was trying to keep it a secret so that Emi didn't hear about it. Emi was just finished with her cake before she dug into her pie. The slices weren't exactly small either.
"Sure, what is it that you wanted to chat with me about?" Tucker asked. Rin didn't say a word and instead decided to sip her tea. She knew she wanted to keep it a secret, so Emi didn't hear about it.
Tucker didn't mind spending the rest of the afternoon in the Shanghai even though he only had two blondies and some tea. Rin was more than thankful to have her feet dried off, so she decided to order a piece of blank paper and a pencil and Emi ordered a second piece of cake. When the orders were delivered. Rin happily began drawing away as if she was sketching something. Tucker decided to be the gentlemen of the room and pour them more tea to help sate their thirst. Tucker decided to text Eleanor to see how she was doing, and she responded by being in the art room once again. Rin was busy drawing as Tucker continued the conversation. It wasn't long before Yuuko came back, and Emi ordered a third slice of cake as Yuuko rolled her eyes. Tucker seemed to be mildly amused at the bottomless pit that was Emi Ibarazaki's stomach. The time wore on as Tucker had played a few games and Rin was finished drawing. Emi had two more slices of cake before she was finally sated. Tucker looked over to see the completed picture Rin just drew. It looked like the steam snake he saw in the book that he borrowed from.
"You memorized it?" Tucker asked Rin. Rin turned over and she began speaking with a small smile.
"I find it easy to memorize stuff and I definitely like steam trains." Rin told Tucker that this was something she was really interested in. "Though coming up with original ideas is something I struggle with a bit." Rin added on. The rain didn't seem to let up as they knew they needed to get back to Yamaku Academy while they were still dry. Yuuko came over as Tucker decided to cover the bill.
"Hey Yuuko?" Tucker began speaking. Yuuko turned her head as she was curious about Tucker's request.
"Yes Mr. Kagami?" Yuuko asked.
"Can we have an umbrella so we don't get wet?" Tucker would ask. Yuuko decided to think about it for a moment, she walked off and within a couple of moments, she returned with an umbrella. It was a red umbrella and it was a big one too. Tucker grabbed it as Yuuko decided to give Tucker some instructions.
"Make sure you return the umbrella much like my books, I don't like it when I have stuff go missing." Yuuko advised Tucker. Tucker nodded before he grabbed it.
"I will even if I don't get to see you until the return date." Tucker thanked Yuuko. Rin decided to leave the drawing for Yuuko as a present as a way of saying thank you. Tucker decided to look at the drawing for the last time. Rin surely was talented.
The three of them arrived outside of the Shanghai as it was still raining outside though the rain seemed to have slackened off a bit. Tucker pulled out the umbrella and opened it up. Rin and Tucker huddled beneath the umbrella with Emi waiting outside.
"Aren't you going to join?" Tucker asked Emi if she was going to join them in the umbrella. Emi looked at them and smiled.
"I'm fine, I want to take the hike back to the school and possibly take the long way back. I want to get rid of any energy I have left and work off some of the cake. I'll probably go for a few laps in the rain." Emi explained that she wanted to take the long way back and get some exercise. "Great, I should have brought my running blades, these aren't very good for running. Oh well, I'll just walk fast then." Emi told them before she took off and began walking at a brisk pace back to the school. Emi spun around one last time and she bid them goodbye for now. "We should eat lunch on the roof tomorrow, I'll bring enough for three." Emi took off into the rain. This left Tucker and Rin alone. They began to walk back together as the rain continued to pour on them.
Katawa Shoujo- Raindrops and Puddles
Tucker and Rin were slowly making their way back to Yamaku Academy as the rain continued to pour on them. They were in the safety of the umbrella as they continued to speak to each other.
"Hey Tucker, now that we're alone. There is something I wanted to speak to you about." Rin began. Tucker turned his head to Rin as he was curious to figure out what she wanted to talk about.
"What is it Rin, were you trying to hide something?" Tucker asked Rin curiously. He wanted to know more about her.
"Do you know what Clouds are?" Rin asked. Tucker seemed curious before he began speaking.
"Clouds are evaporated water that comes back down as rain. That's what I learned in my science class." Tucker began answering Rin's question. He looked up at the sky to see the clouds were big, dark and pretty angry.
"When I say that my head is filled with clouds, no one seems to understand what I am trying to say. I find clouds big, white and slow." Rin did her best to explain to Tucker what these clouds were. Tucker looked down as if little creeks had formed on the sides of the street by the sidewalk.
"You are pretty silly in the end though your face is just as big and puffy as a cloud which I find adorable." Tucker complimented Rin. Rin looked at him almost if he seemed to be praising her. "We always think of those big puffy white things in the sky. They get dark and upset and that's when the clouds begin to cry." Rin looked up as the rain continued to pour on them. Indeed, he was right about that.
"I don't know why the clouds are upset like this?" Rin asked. Tucker knew he needed to change the conversation up a bit to try to keep Rin's attention on the topic.
"If you could imagine what clouds taste like, what would they be?" Tucker asked Rin if she had any thoughts of what this could mean. Rin began to think of stuff that could take the form of something that was delicious. Rin turned her head, and she began speaking.
"Most likely marshmallows. I find them when they're golden by the fire. You bite into them and they're so gooey and warm. I definitely want to sit by a fire and enjoy the warmth with the company I'm having. If we do set up a fire, I'll go bring the bag, some sweet crackers and chocolate." Rin told Tucker what she envisioned clouds to be like. Tucker seemed to nod at the logic that Rin was talking about.
"You seem to know more than me." Tucker began. They continued to walk along as Tucker tried to keep the conversation going. "Is there anything weird you envisioned clouds tasting like?" Tucker asked Rin. Rin began to think about it before she submitted her response.
"Definitely snails. I thought of it one time that clouds tasted like snails." Rin explained to Tucker. Tucker gagged at the prospect of snails.
"Snails are pretty gross to eat." Tucker admitted. Rin smiled before she continued speaking.
"When I said snails, this came from the conversation I had when I was still new to Yamaku and when I asked Shinichi that question, he said the black clouds would taste like snails and then the clouds would cry whenever they heard the word snails." Rin explained to Tucker that to Mr. Nomiya clouds tasted like snails. "I don't like snails either, so I thought of something more pleasant like marshmallows."
"Well, there is something we both definitely don't like." Tucker smiled as he was happily chatting with Rin. "Do you think Snails and Marshmallows are the same thing?"
"It's like comparing apples and squids." Rin told Tucker. They finally arrived at the main gate, and they entered it. They walked up to the girl's dorm as Tucker decided to tell Rin goodbye for now.
"I promise I will see you tomorrow morning." Tucker told Rin. Rin smiled before she spoke.
"I'll see you tomorrow morning too." Rin nodded before she opened the door and went inside. Tucker walked over to the boy's dorm and headed inside, closing the umbrella along the way. He had an eventful afternoon and what remained now was to clean himself up and change into some dry clothing. There wasn't much longer to the day, so he decided to crack open the book he borrowed from Yuuko to find what he liked. After reading over and looking at a few pictures of what Rin described as Steam Trains, he began to think: What made them fascinating and why Rin liked them so much. He knew he needed to get some sleep, so he used Rin's note as a bookmark and fell asleep. He knew he needed to speak to her tomorrow.
Rin seemed to be a different person when it was just her and Tucker.
[A/N]: A nice long chapter for you and this basically covers a good portion of Rin's route. I will be taking some elements from this route and another route which will be a bit of the basis for act three and then for act four I will be coming back to Rin's route.
I will continue building up Rin's interests slowly as it would serve the means to her character for this fanfiction. I definitely love the attention I'm getting, and I hope to get more in the next few days.
