To say that the last few weeks in the Loud house was quite troublesome was...well, not a lie, but neither it was the correct term to describe it. For one, every sister, from the smartest (Lisa) to the one who should be the most mature and wise (Lori), had agreed to implement Lola's plan of making Lincoln jealous; every sister had to figure out an effective way to get Lincoln's attention. The problem was...Lincoln didn't want to talk to them and he wasn't responding that well to their attempts.

He wasn't mad at them or anything, he still loved them as always. The problem, at least he believed, was the kind of love they felt for him. Lincoln wanted things to be like it was before; he wanted to spend time with them, do something they liked like watch a wrestling match with Lynn, play Rockstar hero with Luna, help Lola with her new goal of becoming a better person, hell he even helping Lisa with some of her experiments or help Lucy with her vampire stories was funnier than being in his room all day, playing videogames to the point of burnout just because if he went out his sisters might try something to get his attention.

Lincoln knew they would never hurt him, he knew they would never try to force him to do something he wouldn't want to do (at least not now that the majority of them were adults). But he still didn't feel prepared to face them, to address the elephant in the room, to talk about their feelings for him, their own brother.

Lola's plan was simple in terms: hang out with other people, write love letters to confess their love for them, demonstrate that they had deep feelings for someone else but him. Sounds perfect, right? Well, let's just say that Lincoln wasn't the only one who's plans tend to backfire.

Lucy had just entered the house after spending her day at a local book store; normally her reads would be mostly gothic literature, horror stories and some poetry. But lately she's been reading romance novels, everything that might give her an idea of how to approach that special person.

The black-wearing girl sat on the sofa and tried to think on what she had learned from the books today. She read short love stories since she had other things to do; you know what they all have in common? Everything. Most of the love stories are about a guy and a girl who love each other but for some reason can't be together. They somehow resolve their problem and live happily ever after. Yeah, there are some differences here and there but in essence it's the same.

Mexican TV novels didn't help either; they were the same as in the books but more cringe. She saw this one called 'Lo Que La Vida Me Robó', which was a girl who couldn't choose between the two men who loved her. Throughout the novel she is with one and the next moment she's with the other; she even had a daughter with one of them. At the end she chooses one and the one she had the daughter with dies. Yeah, not a great novel.

"It's been a pretty busy week," Lucy sighed. "I just hope this is worth it."

The gothic has spent her days writing a love letter to Bram, the guy from The Dream Boat show. She tried to make Lincoln notice that she was writing to another man, key word: tried.

Lucy practically was rubbing in his face that she was in love with another man; she wrote her poems and read them aloud, making sure to say his name when her brother was around. She 'accidentally' left one of her poems in his room when she was 'searching' for a new pen because hers ran out of ink. She thought about casting a love spell on him, but that would go against the agreement she had with her sisters.

Some sisters resorted to the same tactic of coming home with a 'friend' or letting him clear the they were seeing other guys, telling him the totally believable excuse of 'knowing other people'. Lola left her chat window open in her laptop with a hot conversation she was having with another man in an effort to make him rage with jealousy. Lily brought a guy from his art class, believing that he would get the job done and make her brother angry. Sadly for her, Lincoln didn't seem to mind at all; he actually was happy to meet him and said that he seemed like a nice guy.

Leni took a guy that was a regular client at the store she worked at; he was a well looking man with an incredible fashions sense. Leni thought that he'd totes make Lincoln jealous by making him feel that his manliness was being threatened. Of course this backfired because he ended up giving Lincoln some fashion advices, which not only increased his confidence but made him look even better. While it was good for them too, this would also increase the competence.

What's more, some sister thought that he was interested in Lincoln as well.

Lisa took home one of the jocks of the football team; of all the sister who resorted to this measure, she was the less believable, mostly because, come on, jocks and nerds are like water and oil. But as incredible as it sounds, this one seemed to work (well, partially). While it did make Lincoln upset that her little sister had brought a guy home, he was angry by the fact that he was one of the ones who used to mock her at school. He had a man-to-man talk with him, and after finding out that he wasn't as bad as he thought, he was let go. But just that, no jealousy, only protective brother feelings.

"Leni, we've tried a lot of things but nothing seems to work..." Lola said. "Do you really think Lincoln see us as more than sisters?"

"Of course I do," Leni replied. "And don't worry, even if this doesn't work we'll figure out something. I'm sure about that."

"I just don't know..."

"Don't lose hope, lil' sister."

In that precise moment Lucy had entered the kitchen, the gothic sister was so lost in her own thoughts that didn't really put attention to what her sisters were talking about. Lucy was able to do many things, like poetry, writing and was a very good organizer, just to name a few. One of those things, one that she was very well known for, was being able to feel many things, things that a normal person would never perceive. Right now, both his sisters glared at her as she minded her own business, she was just serving a glass of water, but the sensation of her own sisters shooting daggers right at her back made her feel unease. Lucy opted for just drink the water and abandon the room quick.

None of them knew what went wrong, the plan was good and they had clever ideas to make it work, but somehow Lincoln just didn't react as they expected. That's when they had another amazing idea: if they couldn't come up with something by themselves alone, maybe forming groups would make it work! Lily, Lola, Lisa and Leni were one group, Lori, Luna, Lynn and Lucy were another, and Luan agreed to support Lana; she was the only one who forgave the blonde for kissing Lincoln.

This second idea seemed to work in the short term, but in the end it ended up being worse, the plans of both groups clashed and sabotaged each other. The outcome of this: both groups being angry at each other. And about the group of Luan and Lana, well, they didn't really represented a threat to them.

Lucy walked up the stairs, heading to inform her crew that her plan didn't work. They all were in her and Lynn's room discussing different ways to approach their objective. Lynn was on her bed just staring at the ceiling, waiting for an idea to struck her like a lightning. Lori sat on Lucy's bed while using her phone, and Luna sat on the floor playing in her phone.

As the darkness-loving sister entered the room, all the looks turned directly towards her; her facial expression wasn't happy nor sad...actually it couldn't be determined.

"How did it go, sis?" Luna asked.

"Sigh..." it was all she replied. No more words needed.

They all looked at each other with dissatisfaction. While the plan of the other group didn't seem to work, they thought that maybe sending love letters to other people would do the deed; and it would be even better if that person was one who Lincoln knew. This plan was good in terms, but when it came to put into practice, things weren't as easy: Lucy had it easy when it came to writing. Lori wasn't in the mood to talk to guys; mostly because of her break up, but also because she didn't have too many boyfriends. Lynn didn't have too many options; she only talked with boys who loved sports just as much as her, but they usually were jerks. There were a few who were considered normal enough, tho. And Luna...well, she was okay with this plan; writing a letter was actually similar to writing a song, something at which she was an expert. It seemed that it wouldn't be as hard as she thought.

Except that it was. You see, pretty much as Lynn she didn't have too many options to choose from; sure she knew some awesome guys, but sadly, even if it was just to pretend, they were already taken.

With the letter written, the only problem was, who was she gonna give that letter to?

Being in a band, Luna knew a handful of people: guys, girls, you name it. But even if she had an ample pool where to choose from, no one had really woken something special in her. The only one who had manage to make her heart flutter was Sam, her band mate and best friend, and they even were a couple for some time, but things didn't really work and they decided to remain best friends for the sake of their band.

After thinking deeply about it, choosing some people and discarding others, she made her choice.

There is no turning back, she thought. You're the only person close enough to me to be my love, and I understand the risks of my choice, but there are no other options. Luckily I didn't use my full name so you won't know who sent this.

Lori had her letter done as well; it was good and her calligraphy was neat. The only thing that worried her was that...

I hope I wasn't that sentimental in it, she thought. But I can't let anyone get in between me and Lincoln.

Lucy didn't worry at all; she knew Bram only looked at her as a friend and nothing would change that. Lynn felt the same as well, she knew most of the guys weren't interested in her; they wanted someone more 'girly', not a muscular woman.

Once all letters were done and sent, they sat to wait for the results of their plan.

"I already said it and I will do it again; I'm afraid that I was too direct in my letter." She said. "I just hope he believed I wanted to be with him or else I'm out of ideas."

"I feel you, sis," Luna replied. "I doubt my luv will return the feelings. The only good thing I can think of this is that I didn't sign it with my name."

"I honestly think this is useless," Lynn commented. "I mean, none of their plan or ours are making Lincoln jealous, we're not making any progress...I didn't know someone could be that strong willed..."

"You're definitely right," Lucy said. "I believe we underestimated his resistance."

Lori got on her feet and stood in the middle of the room in front of her sisters. "Come on girls!" she encouraged. "We must not give up! I got the feeling that everything will end up alright!"

Luna sighed. "I hope so, Lori. I don't think I will be able to endure this any longer..."

All the sisters had been trying for a week now to seduce their brother but to no avail. Unfortunately for Lincoln they weren't giving up that easy; they wouldn't surrender without a fight.

Lincoln was in his room, lying in his bed with his hands behind his head. If someone had told him that at one point of his life ten girls would fight for his love he would never believe it. Which guy wouldn't be happy with having a bunch of beautiful girls competing with tooth and claw to get his attention? The answer? No one.

But he was the exception, because, well, those girls fighting for him were his sisters. Yeah, that's right, those beautiful girls were the ones she grew up with, the ones she shared blood ties, the ones that he was starting to see as...

"This is getting out of hand..." he sighed. "If I don't do something now, it won't matter how much I try..."

He sat on the edge of the bed and covered his face with his hands. "I don't see any way out; I've tried to tell them that I just see them as sisters but that doesn't seem to work, what else can I do?"

The simple idea of being with his sisters woke some feelings within him; on one hand he felt guilt, he felt that he was failing as a brother, as their protector. He was their brother, the one who should keep them safe from everything. But how could he save them from him?

The immorality of the deal stopped stinging a couple of weeks ago, now it was like a corn between the teeth, it didn't hurt, just was utterly annoying. His life had turned more dangerous since he was sure his sisters would resort to more drastic measures. How could he escape his fate?

Maybe it was that he didn't want to escape. Yes, he knew that those thoughts were immoral and even illegal. Yet, he couldn't deny that they were as strong as he thought they were bad; he couldn't deny that something woke up inside him the moment Lana kissed him, something special he hadn't feel for any other woman (not taking into account Ronnie Ann, Stella and Cristina, those were just crushes).

He was in a race against time; if he didn't think in something fast, he knew very well he'd eventually fall for one of them. And what was worse, Lana had some advantage.

Luckily for him, the answer came a few minutes later.

Since his room was the last line of defense his sisters weren't brave enough to invade, he spent the majority of his time there; he'd usually spend his time thinking the little (if any) options he had left. But that day was different, that day his the answer he so much needed finally arrived in the form of a call.

"Speak"

"Hello...uhm, you're Lincoln Loud, right? I'd like to talk with you about something"

It was a female voice, one that he swore had heard before.

"W-Who is this? Do I know you?"

"Of course you do, silly! We've seen each other plenty of times before. Or rather...I've been watching you for a while now...your really can't remember who I am?"

He thought for some moments. One thing that came with having ten sisters was that they usually bring friends to the house. Lincoln have seen a lot of girls in his home throughout his life that he had even forgotten the name of some.

The melodic voice of this girl, however, rang a bell in his head.

"Of course! Sorry, I've been a little distracted lately."

"Well, I don't really know if you really recognize me, but I've really been thinking about you lately. You care if we talk about it?"

"Not at all, go ahead"

"Well...I kind of wanted this to be a face-to-face talk..."

"Oh, I see. Well, how about if I meet you in the park?"

"It's a deal. See you then."

Lincoln remained sitting on the edge of the bed, thinking about what to do with his sisters. You know, life was-

His mind was like a train going at max speed, trying to find a way leave it clear with her sisters that they were just that, sisters to him. But as realization hit him the train stopped right on its tracks.

Lincoln had a date.
