Lana walked down Franklin Av. heading home after a pretty boring detention day. It was in mechanics class, apparently students weren't allowed to correct teachers when they were wrong; how could not she correct him? The idiot tried to replace the brake pads for ones that not only weren't the same model of the car, but they also were tight on the brake disk. Apparently he bought them because the ones for that model were sold out and someone told him those others would fit. If she let him do that, what kid of example would it be for the others? What if someone tried to imitate his nonsense and ended up hurting himself or someone else?

She was just a couple blocks away from home, but could already feel a weight dropping off to her stomach. You see, everything was going a lot much better in home, at leas for her; the other sisters learned to forgive her for kissing Lincoln, and they even gave her some credit since all of them acknowledge they were cowards for not trying to make things clear from the start. Lana, being the though but kind hearted girl she was, forgave them too for the way they treated her. Everything seemed to go as intended, except...

Lincoln.

The tomboy couldn't shake out of her head what happened a few weeks ago, back when she was in her most vulnerable state in front of the person she now loved the most: her brother. To be honest, she didn't intended to kiss him at first, but something took over her and... well, the rest is history. Was it worth kissing him in an effort to get his heart? Sigh Apparently not, and the reason was getting clearer as days passed. Lincoln, for some strange reason had been really distant lately, he wasn't responding at their attempts to seduce him; he no longer acted nervous or even surprised to see them in pretty revealing clothes, he no longer acted uncomfortable when they brought a guy home. He straight up ignored them.

While this was something to be worried about, another problem surfaced as time passed: Lincoln began to spent less time in the house; even when he was in his room the majority of time and wouldn't come out except for food or bathroom, he started to go out pretty often without telling anyone. This would be a good sign since they thought he was starting to become a hermit, but the problem was that he'd would also be neatly dressed every time. It was pretty obvious that something was happening, the most accepted theory amongst the sisters was that someone was making a move on him. The problem was that it wasn't any of them.

Arriving at the house she greeted at her mother, who was at the table typing something in her laptop; probably working on her novel or something. After going up the stairs she entered her room, took a couple of jars from her backpack and threw it aside. As soon as the door closed, some of her pets who slept in her side of the room woke up from their nap. The family pets (descendants and/or replacements of Charles, Cliff, Geo and Walt) were probably around the house, but in her room were a few other animals that she kept as her personal pets. One was a frog which name was Hops Jr. A lizard named Izzy (the original died, but decided to give the new one she found the same name), Jean, an iguana and Blastoise, a turtle.

The animals were contained in their habitat, but tried to lift the lid of their containers as soon as they saw their caretaker bringing them food. "Calm down guys, I got plenty of food for everyone." she said happily. The first one was Jean, who ate a very healthy combination of leaves and vines she had gathered from the park and some she bought from the leftovers at the supermarket for a cheap price.

Next was Hops, who had some roaches liberated inside his tank; he immediately began to catch and eat them, finishing with them in no time. "You sure were hungry, eh Hops?" Lana joked. The frog just smiled in response.

Then it was the turn of Blastoise. The turtle, much like Jean, had a plenty of green leaves mixed with some insects. At its own pace the turtle swam to eat the food its owner threw on the water.

At last was Izzy, who was delighted with a bunch of worms Lana got from the fishing store.

Now that her beloved pets were stuffed, she cleaned her hands and let her body fall on the bean bag next to her pets. You know, the stress of the school had been quite much the last few weeks, and between that and fixing Vanzilla from that annoying sound (Possibly a band tensor or the alternator bearing), she barely had some time to let her body rest. And now with Lincoln in her plans...well, her schedule was even tighter. She had to think in a new way to catch his attention, to let him see...that...

Without realizing it, she started to fall asleep. Her breaths softened and a light snore came from her mouth. Suddenly all that stress on her disappeared, suddenly she began to feel in peace, as if..

The door of the room she shared with her twin opened, it was Lola who just entered and saw her sister sleeping peacefully. Lola debated if she had to wake her up; she probably was too tired from that stupid punishment her teacher gave her. On the other had there was a really important problem which needed to be attended as soon as possible.

Decided, Lola walked towards her twin. She softly shook her shoulder. "Lana" Lola whispered.

The tomboy wasn't that sleep yet, so she woke up pretty easy. "What's up, Lola?"

"We got a sister meeting at Lori's room." it was all Lola said.

"Damn...you're right." Lana replied with a little groan, sitting straight and stretching her body. She knew about that sister meeting Lori had organized to talk about their situation with Lincoln. Honestly she wasn't in the mood to argue with anyone, but she understood it was something important, and since the plan of forming groups with their own plans and ideas didn't work as well as they thought, they had to go back to the status quo.

She saw her sister leaving the room closing the door behind her. The blonde got on her feet; even though she didn't sleep that much, it was enough to make her body fall in rest mode, meaning her eyes were heavy and she was not that aware. Sigh, maybe the sister meeting would do good for her.

The meeting took place on Lori and Leni's room, Lana got inside and sat next to Lynn.

"About damn time." Lori commented.

"Sorry, I was doing something and..."

"Whatever," Lori replied, she sounded upset that she was late. "Don't be late next time."

Lana was taken aback, and didn't take that good her words. "Sorry, I forgot only you were allowed to have things to do." She hissed. "Next time I'll cancel all my plans just to attend your fucking meeting."

Lori was surprised at first, but then anger took over her. She stood up and walked towards her sister. "What did you just said?!" she asked.

"You just heard." Lana replied, standing and facing her elder sister.

The tension could be cut with a butter knife, every sister just watched as Lori and Lana practically shot sparks at each other. They all thought this would end up in a fight, or worse, on a Sister DEFCON. Luckily someone came to the rescue.

"I suggest we stop this nonsense before it turns into something that we might not fix and better get to the matter at hand." Lisa interrupted, separating the blondes who returned to their respective. Clearing her throat, Lisa began to speak. "As we all know, our beloved brother has successfully avoided our attempts of getting closer to him. However, now it seems things have changed. Lynn, you may speak now."

Lisa walked back to her seat, and Lynn took her place in the middle of the circle. "Thanks, Lis." she said. "Well, girls, I managed to follow Lincoln in one of his little escapades. I saw him getting inside a restaurant with someone; I tried to get a clearer view but unfortunately the restaurant didn't have many windows. Besides, Lincoln and his date sat at the farthest corner."

Lori, a little cooled off now, walked from side to side and analyzed the information her sister had just given. "Anything else?"

"Sorry, that's all I have." Lynn replied.

"Thank you, Lynn." Lisa said, walking back to the middle of the circle as Lynn made her way towards the bed. "Sisters, I believe I'm not the only one who realize what's happening." She commented. After being silent for a while and seeing that none of them caught the idea, she explained. "There are only three type of people Lincoln can possibly go out with to that kind of place: A member of the family, his friends..."

For a while she remained silent, this confused everyone. "Uh, Lisa?" Lily asked.

The genius chuckled a little bit. "Sorry, I just wanted to create a little drama." She cleared her throat once more. "The third option it's: a girl."

All the sisters looked at each other with confusion; none of them wanted to believe what they heard, but what other explanation they had?

Lisa fixed her glasses before continuing. "Since none of us went with him and he'd never go to that kind of place with, well, his friends, options one and two are discarded. Which leave us with option three as the possible answer."

"So, Linky is dating another girl..." Lily growled.

"Precisely." Lisa responded.

"Who could that girl be?" Leni asked.

The noise ceased in the room, being replaced with an uncomfortable silence. None of them believed it, Lincoln not only had managed to pass under ten radars, he also was clever enough to keep his date's identity a secret.

The worst part was that he knew when they tried to spy on him; he was able to spot them in the most crowded of the streets, he knew when they were around and would do everything to get away from them. Sometimes, if he felt like it, he'd let them follow him around just to get lost once again. He played with them, and they couldn't do anything. It was incredible how one mind could fool ten, one being an actual genius.

"I never thought Lincoln would be that smart..." Lori commented. "I..believe this is getting out of our control. Lisa, can't you...I don't know, use your scientific stuff to spy on them and find who that girl is?"

"Don't you think that if I could I'd have already done it?" Lisa asked. "Unfortunately, the feds got my hands tied on that."

"What?!" Lori asked with surprise. "How did you got involved with the government?! What did you do?!"

"My lawyer advised me not to speak about that." Lisa responded. "All I'm saying is that I'm not allowed to spy, kidnap or intervene any electronic device."

"Don't worry, girls," Lynn said. "As long as we're together we will get this solved in no time! Maybe..."

Lana had had enough. She attended to that meeting hoping to clear her mind and get an idea on who that girl could be, but once again, they were at the end of the road; Lynn did give some important clues, but there was more to be done. Lana knew their sisters would have al sort of crazy ideas, and honestly didn't want to partake in that.

You know, maybe staying around the house wasn't the best idea right now; she needed to go out to cool off from her little...uh, argument with Lori and get a breath of fresh air.

She was a few blocks away when her mind wandered back towards the kiss between her and Lincoln. That move was a good starter, but now...she was stuck, unable to come up with another idea; she had made her move (and what a move), but...now what? She couldn't just enter his room while he slept since he took precautions after this all started; hell he was cautious even going out for a snack. No one could get close to him, and nobody could bring to the table the topic they wanted to discuss with him. Actually, they all could barely say 'good morning' to him. Lori said it, Lincoln was slowly drifting away from them, and there was very little they could do to avoid it.

Lana sighed. What can I do?... she thought. If only I knew who that girl is I could do something to separate them. But...is it worth it?

She had her doubts. She wanted her brother, she wanted him to love her just as much as she loved him. But she wanted to get his heart fair and square, not do something to that poor girl who had no blame in all this mess. She had an internal struggle; yes, the prize was Lincoln, but...was it really worth it to break that poor girl's heart? Imagine how devastating it would be to know that not only your boyfriend left you for another girl, but to discover that the other girl is his sister.

She knew how the drill went with her sisters; they would make a plan, find flaws in it, discard it and then make another very similar, rinse and repeat. It all was a never ending cycle of bad planning and a waste of time if you asked her. Lana knew it was useless. Unlike her sister's plans, Lincoln's plans were clever, he was several steps ahead from them and, Lana thought, he saw them as nothing but toys, as something he could use for his amusement.

Or maybe not, maybe they just were really, really blind to see the flaws in their plans.

"Sigh what time is..." she asked, taking her hand to the pocket of her pants to get her phone, but realizing that she wasn't carrying it; last time she remembered using it was in her room right before taking a little nap. "Well, I'm not that far from home," she said. "I'll just gonna go, grab my phone and I'll head straight to the park. If I'm lucky I'll..."

Just a few meters away from the house she spotted her brother returning home from what it seemed another of his dates; he was wearing his khakis with an elegant black shirt and his hair neatly done. She immediately hid behind a three and watched him enter the house. She came out when the coast was clear.

Lana waited a few minutes before entering the house, just to be sure that Lincoln was in his room. She walked upstairs and stood in front of her brother's door. The blonde, much like her sisters, was looking for the answer to the question: who was Lincoln's date? Well, while she didn't have the answer, she had a good plan to find it out.

Next day Lincoln slipped away as he always did; he thought that he successfully had evaded her sister once more. Unfortunately, one sister had managed to spot him just as he crossed the door.

Lana came out from the house wearing a completely new outfit: Jeans, a white sleeveless blouse, sneakers and a ponytail. She waited a couple of minutes before going out; she had Walt, the family bird pet with her.

"Alright Walt, you know what to do." She said. "Help me find Lincoln and I'll buy a whole bag of bird food."

The little canary peck her hand. "Alright, a whole bag of premium bird food." she replied annoyed.

Nodding, the little white bird took off from her hand and began flying. Lana watched it fly, waiting a little bit before starting to walk in the direction Walt went. The bird landed on a branch, Lana catch up with the little pet, then it flew again following the path that Lincoln walked. It pretty much went like this for a good half an hour until she catch up with her brother at the center of the city.

Lana spotted him entering at a french-american restaurant, she waited and observed the entrance for a good twenty minutes, expecting to see the girl Lincoln was dating to walk inside. After not seeing her she deduced that the girl had to be inside already. Not knowing what else to do, Lana sat on a bench and observed the restaurant. It was really boring, yes, but it was the only chance they had to know who was the mysterious girl.

The blonde sat under the sun for what it seemed to be hours, then checked her phone and realized it had only passed around thirty minutes. As important as this was, she was starting to get drowsy. "Damn, they'll probably gonna take a good few hours," she said. "I better get myself comfortable..."

Time passed fast and, as she had guessed, the date lasted for about two hours since she saw Lincoln get inside the place. Lana was resting against a tree trunk when she saw her brother coming out of the restaurant; normally she would go after him, but not this time, no. She was after his date.

We've never seen a girl with him when he arrives home. She thought. I don't know how she looks, so I'm gonna have to guess...

Her plan could've worked from the begging, but she had a few difficulties. For one, her brother took his good time to walk away from the restaurant; he seemed to know that something was up, he spent some minutes outside of the place just looking around, as if he knew someone was watching over him. Eventually Lincoln left, which allowed her to change position. With him outside the equation it was just a matter of time for her target to come out.

Again, that little bit of guilt pinched her chest; she knew this had to be done, but still felt guilty that she was spying on her brother, and she'd be okay if this was in other circumstances, but instead she did it for her own selfish reasons. Lana was aware that this wasn't the best way to get his heart; hell, if he ever found out that she's been spying on him he'd possibly hate her. But what else could she do? It wasn't as easy as just go and ask...

While in the middle of her self inspectional speech, a girl that looked really suspicious caught her attention; her blonde hair was combed in a ponytail, she used a light blue skirt with a matching purse and a white blouse. There was something in her hair, like a stripe, but due to the distance Lana couldn't tell what it was. Other than that, there was no doubt, she was her girl.

Not risking to let this chance go to waste she began to follow her. Doing the same thing she did with her brother Lana took her distance; this girl had no chance to know she was following her, but Lana didn't wanted to screw this up.

After the girl turned around the corner Lana began to make a run for her. Keeping in mind what was in the line she increased her speed; this time she was gonna succeed, this time...

The wooden door of a local burst open, hitting her right in the face and making her fall to the ground like a sack of potatoes. At the other side of the door was a fat, old man using denim pants and a blue shirt, his skin was white but his face was red with anger. He didn't even seemed to notice the girl he just hit laying on the ground rubbing her head.

"Donate to the children's fund?! Why?! What have children ever done for me?!" he kept yelling at his cellphone in an Irish accent.

Lana shook her head and got on her feet a few seconds later. She knew she had lost her target, much to her luck there was an alley to her right. With no time to lose she started to run again, dodging trash cans lying on the floor and a couple of chalk silhouettes that resembled to a crime scene with a pair of bullet shells nearby. At the end of the alley the path divided, she opted for the left.

As the blonde got out, she turned right and tried to identify her target, spotting her a few blocks away from her position. As fast as she could, Lana began to run on the other side of the sidewalk, you know, so no other door would stop her again. Her condition, while it was not as good as Lynn's, it still was on point, but it took her a little bit of effort to catch up with her.

The girl stopped by the entrance of the mall and stood there for a couple of minutes. Lana was a couple stores away, pretending to be looking at some beautiful dresses. Her target seemed to be waiting for someone; the time was 16:00 hours, she still had a couple of hours of daylight to burn.

Phase one of her plan was complete: identify the target and get her in position. It was time for phase two: find who she was.

Lana began to walk fast, speeding up as the distance between her and the girl decreased. The second part was actually easy, (compared to the first), all she had to do was bump with her, help her get on her feet, make small talk and done!

But she didn't count that the people the girl was expecting appeared out of nowhere, screwing her plan.

This took her by surprise, it happened so fast the only thing she could do was hide behind a wall to try and spy their conversation.

"How was your date?!" one of her friends asked. "Tell me everything!"

"Totally rocking!" she replied. "I'll get into detail, but first I want to go and see those boots you told me yesterday."

"Yeah, let's get going." the other girl said. "I need to take care of something."

There was a pair of girls with her that prevented Lana from finding out her identity. Sighing, and feeling her aching feet complaining about what she was about to do, she began to follow them around.

They went from store to store, just looking at the clothes, makeup and several girl stuff. While it wasn't very pleasant for Lana, she had to admit that some dresses and skirts were really cute. For hours she walked, hide and slipped through the people on the stores just to keep up with them. Several times she wanted to give up, her feet ached and her back was killing her; on top of that, the door that hit her left her right eye a little sore.

Several times she was almost caught, but made an improvised save pretending to be looking at the shelves around the stores. She was tired, she was hungry, but eventually luck was on her side; the girls spread around the place, leaving her objective alone.

Lana got close enough to them just to hear how they all waved goodbye.

"See you later!"

"Gotta go."

"Good luck with your cute boyfriend!"

Alone at last. Lana just followed her for several minutes, waiting for the perfect chance to make her move. She did spot her face a few times but since it was from afar, she really didn't recognize her. After following her for nearly two blocks, she decided it was time to act. Lana got closer to her, she ran and bumped with her, resulting in both of them falling to the ground.

"Gosh!" Lana said. "I'm really sorry I'm in a hurry! Are you okay?"

"Don't worry, it was an accident." The girl said with a smile. Lana finally saw her face up close, and immediately recognized her. She had seen her face several times in the past, and was actually good friends with her. She almost dropped her facade, but managed to take her purse and give it back to her.

"Thanks!" the girl said, taking her purse and looking back at Lana. For a moment she narrowed her eyes; she had seen this girl before... "Say...do I know you?"

"I-I don't think so," Lana said, turning around and beginning to run. "Sorry again, gotta go!"

"Have a nice day!" The girl said back, still trying to figure out who that girl was. If she wasn't wrong, she looked like one of Lincoln's...

Lana turned the corner and ran as fast as her already aching feet allowed her. She was tired, felt sweaty and wanted to get home as soon as possible to take a bath and go straight to bed. At first she thought that maybe she went too far with this, but in the end the results were worth it. At last, they would know the identity of their brother's girlfriend.
