A/N: Their will be warnings' the further the stories goes along of abuse, sexual assault, rape, drug and alcohol abuse, etc.. I love angst stories with hurt and comfort as well as a balance of drama and family like feel good stories. Another, is the reason for choosing Liv Tyler as Emily McCord/ Stella Jones is because I think she looks similar to Alison, and I could see some people like Henry and Elizabeth to have a child that looks similar to her with her dark hair, blue eyes, etc., also I like Liv Tyler. Thank you for the comments, I'm still trying to get the hang of this and it is happening slowly but surely.
I will be releasing more prompts on my Tumblr at scorpiojanesblog, so check it out if you want too, and thanks for reading my Fanfic.
Three days later, Stella hasn't really heard from the McCord's, other than the occasional text making sure she is doing okay and if she needs anything. She has been spending her days walking around D.C., doing homework in libraries and coffee shops, trying to stay on top of her school work. Thank God for her friends as they keep trying to distract her from the torturous wait for the results. Stella couldn't help worrying as Mr. Moran said it should be a day or so for the results to come in. She feels like the weight of the world is on her shoulders like Atlas. Questioning that if she is wrong, then she would be alone and not by choice but because it was decided by the fates of the universe to be alone.
It's now the later in the morning, Stella is sitting in the Georgetown University Library watching a video of a recorded lecture of her United States History to 1877 class, when her cheap prepaid phone started ringing. She could feel a stress knot forming in her stomach as she picked up her phone. She answered it with a soft greeting.
"Hello Stella, it's Henry, Henry McCord. I, we got the results back. I just wanted to see if you would be okay with meeting Elizabeth and I".
"Yeah, I can meet you guys, umm, you guys can pick the place and I will meet you guys there", Stella murmured.
"Okay, I will text you our address, if it's okay with you because we thought it would be a private place. Would you want to meet in an hour? '' Henry asked.
"Yeah, that works for me, see you in an hour", she said.
They both said their goodbyes. Stella started packing her things. This is it, she kept repeating as she tried to calm herself and release the stress in her belly.
Stella reaches the house with three black SUVs and security standing out front. As she approaches the agent, she sees Henry open the door to let her in and greets her. He asked her to give the agent an I.D. if she has one and to sign in. As she steps through the open door, her nerves start to set in. Henry leads her past the office to the coach in front of two chairs and a table. Asking her if he could get her anything, and telling her that Elizabeth will be down any minute. She asks for a glass of water. Stella has a temporary moment alone, she looks around trying to absorb as much as she can of her surroundings.
She hears footsteps coming down the stairs and from the kitchen. Both Henry and Elizabeth enter the sitting room at the same time. Henry hands her the glass of water, then sits down on the chair on the right. Elizabeth steps forward with her hand out to introduce herself. Stella feels like she is going to explode with anticipation. They finish introductions and both sit down with herself on the coach and Elizabeth on the chair left of Henry. Stella crosses her legs and arms in hopes to soothe herself.
Henry clears his throat. "We got the results back, and it does confirm that you are our daughter", Henry states with emotion in his voice. He looks at Elizabeth as tears gather in his eyes. Elizabeth is looking straight at her with tears running down our face and her right hand to her mouth as she tries to silence her cries. Stella drops her head and starts sobbing in relief, then as if all these years of pain and loneliness start seeping out of her. Elizabeth, then later Henry, rushed to her. Both hugging and whispering soothing words to her. She starts to feel like she has been crying for days, her energy starts to leave her as she leans back with each of her parents arms around her and both parents each holding one hand. Her head rests on her mama's shoulder and her eyes start to droop as she falls asleep, feeling safe for the first time in a long while.
Two hours go by when Stella wakes up with her head still on her mama's shoulder, covered in a blanket, and both of her parents in their same position, talking to each other. She can feel her mom running her fingers through her hair, ever so comforting. She starts to sit up to reach for her water when her parents begin asking how she is feeling. At first, the little bit of awkwardness was gone but the notable difference was this feeling of familiarity instead of the weight on her shoulders. She leans back after she drinks her water, and opens up in ways she never has. Explaining the relief she feels of being back in their arms as if the piece missing from the puzzle of her life was being filled again, making her whole. They listen to her patiently with their full attention. As she finishes her somewhat rushed and very honest talk, her stomach rumbles loudly and she immediately starts to apologize, as if on instinct. They assure her that it's okay and that Henry will make them lunch. They start asking her preferences, likes and dislikes, every type of information that they could learn about her while avoiding the hard topics.
As lunch is ending, they lead her into the cozy family room next to the kitchen table, everyone sitting next to one another as close as they can. She is almost dreading what these conversations would lead to. She could feel herself tensing and so could they.
"Stella, are you okay? I know you could tell this conversation may lead to heavier topics, but you can alway trust us", Elizabeth stated. Stella opens her mouth, then closes it again. She takes a deep breath and rushes out, "I know this is going to be hard and I do, oddly enough, trust you guys, but I have never told anyone as much as I have told you and that was the easy stuff". She continues, "I don't know if I could answer every question, and there is also the fact that I can't remember a lot of what has happened from the time I was no longer with you to when I was found." Henry states that "you don't have to answer right now if you are uncomfortable or you can't remember, but we just want to know you and to listen to how you became you. If you need a break, all you need to do is ask. We love you and now that you're back with us, we never want to let you go". Elizabeth releases a statement of agreement with everything that Henry has said.
Stella nods her head, "Okay, it's just that not everything is going to be pretty, I want to be prepared for that", she takes a deep breath, then says, "where do you want to start?"
