Aru Cheema hated responsibility.

As contradictory as that statement seemed to be, she knew it to be true. She was burdened with it from birth, the couple extra minutes that she was in the world compared to her brother apparently aged her a lifetime. She always had to make sure her and her brother were in line, following the rules and doing what they were told. Yet, when it came to making decisions of her own she always felt stuck, there was no script to follow.

And Fairy Tail being attacked by Phantom Lord and her being the last S-Class wizard remaining meant she had some pretty big shoes to fill. Ones she wasn't sure she could fit.

Yet, she had to try. She made a commitment to Fairy Tail when she chose to join alongside Arjun, she couldn't let everyone down.

"Aru!"

The silver-eyed mage quickly made eye contact with Mirajane Strauss who was waving her down frantically. Aru nodded before nimbally making her way over, blasting any of the phantom soldiers that decided to get in the way with her Full Moonlight. They were made out of shade magic, so anything of the light variety took them down pretty easily. With that she took a quick glance at her brother.

Arjun was bestowed with the blessing of the sun and she with the blessing of the moon. Their powers correspond to the celestial bodies. He and his sunlight were having an easy time defeating the shade monsters, and he was doing it all with a nonchalant grin on his face.

"Arjun!" Aru called out. Her brother heard her call and quickly turned around.

She just wanted to make sure he was okay. He must've sensed that because he smiled at her before incinerating three phantom soldiers effortlessly, their husks decaying in the blazing heat of the sunlight. Arjun then shook his head before enclosing his fist and holding it up high, which signaled to her that he'd be fine. Aru smiled and signaled to him too before continuing on her way.

Aru made her way to Mirajane who was frantically preparing a carriage of some sort. A quick glance around the battlefield confirmed Aru's hunch that Mira was sending Lucy away, and the blond's sleeping form in the carriage made it obvious she wasn't leaving by choice.

"You're sending Lucy away?" Aru stated once she was at Mirajane's side. "I'm assuming not willingly on her part."

Mira looked at her with anger and passion in her cobalt eyes. "If she's what Phantom wants we can't keep her here… I sent her to sleep and Reedus is going to take her to the safe house."

"Reedus?" Aru asked with a raised brow, was Mirajane trying to get Lucy captured? "He's not going to be enough protection. Harsh, but true, especially for a guild as dedicated as Phantom seems to be."

"You're right," Mira admitted, "but she'll be okay because you're going with them."

Aru opened her mouth to argue, but she was more than okay with that. If all she had to do was keep Lucy safe there was no way she could fail. Plus, she trusted that the guild would be able to take care of the shade monsters okay, however, it was the inside crew she was worried about.

A team made up of Natsu, Happy (which Aru wasn't sure she'd count as backup, but she wanted to keep all of them in mind), Gray, Elfman, and Seraphina…

Not exactly her dream team, though Aru was apt to be quite cynical. She was sure they could achieve a lot together, they were all fairly talented wizards. However, in terms of reliability she felt like Gray was the only one she could count on even slightly.

Natsu was bound to destroy more than he should, and he got unnecessarily provoked. Elfman, after his… incident… he wasn't as strong as he used to be. However, maybe his real man bravado would show up for something. Gray was strong, but he was bound to butt heads with Natsu. And then there was the case for Seraphina.

Aru audibly let out a sigh, she didn't even want to start thinking about that. She had her mission here, and she was more than glad to perform her role. There was no need to be concerned with the possibility of their failure, she'd end up dealing with it later if that turned out to be the case.

"I appreciate you trusting me with Lucy's safety," Aru stated, whilst looking at the map with the location of the safety house. An old warehouse on the northeast side of town, inconspicuous yet secure. "What if Phantom realizes she isn't here anymore, I wouldn't be surprised if they were able to find her no matter where we take her."

Mirajane let out an uncharacteristically cocky smile before a magic circle appeared in front of her face. How could Aru have forgotten Mira's transformation magic?

"I'm glad you had it all figured out," Aru said sincerely to the new face of Lucy Heartfilia. Mirajane sure was talented, even Aru could hardly tell the difference between the real Lucy and Mira's transfiguration, and she was the definition of analytical. "Thank you. I believe in you all, but quite frankly the sooner we get out of here the better."

"I couldn't agree more," Mira-Lucy nodded with certainty. "Keep her safe!"

Aru smiled with as much sincerity as she could muster, wanting to instill a sense of comfort in Mira, but she was lacking in warmth. Mirajane in turn smiled back effortlessly and Aru was the one who felt comforted. Reedus then cracked the reins and they were off, battle of Fairy Tail and Phantom Lord raging behind them and Aru eyeing the streets of Magnolia with caution.

"Phoenix's Resurrection!"

A torrent of sun rays emanated from the area surrounding Arjun Cheema, sending small shockwaves that completely decimated the endless rows of Phantom soldiers that Master Jose was supplying.

"Guns Magic: Tornado Shot!"

Arjun felt a blast of air to his left, where Alzack had just taken out a league of Phantom creatures on his own. He and Bisca were shooting left and right, with deadly accuracy of course.

"Nice shooting you two!" Arjun commented offhandedly, "Wow, you guys make a really great team! You should be together more often. "

"Uh… uh really!... W- Wow!"

"Y-yeah, ahhah, I-I didn't even think about that!"

Arjun frowned, wondering why they were being overly neurotic, and they both seemed to have flushed completely red, "You two okay, you look a little pa- GET DOWN!"

A second was all they had before the Phantom soldiers regenerated right besides them. Alzack was reloading his pistols and Bisca couldn't get her gun turned fast enough. A ghostly claw reached for Bisca's chest and two for Alzack's head. Arjun rushed forward before harshly shoving his guildmates behind him and covering them in a temporary disk of sunlight. A ghoul touched Arjun, however, he shot his arm forward releasing a dome of light that pulsed off his whole body, effectively taking down any remaining ghouls. He was sorry he had to be rough, but he'd rather his friends end up on the floor than with years off their life.

Although far too close he watched proudly as the remains of the shadow ghouls were completely shriveled up and disintegrated. It seemed his sunlight was able to completely wash away Jose's shade magic, which was interesting. The shade monsters that anyone else defeated ended up regenerating, whereas the ones he did seemed to stay away for good.

A devious grin then formed on his face, this might end up being easier than he thought.

"Hey, thank you." Bisca said shakily.

"Yeah, thanks!" Alzack replied, "Gotta make sure to not be distracted next time… Hey man, what are you smiling about?"

"I think I can beat these guys!"

"ALL OF THEM?"

Arjun nodded enthusiastically, ignoring the slack-jaw response from Alzack and Bisca, "If I can do a strong enough spell to wipe them all out we should be set. Notice how all the shade monsters I defeat actually stay dead? If I can do a strong enough spell I should be able to take them all out and then we can focus on actually defeating those Phantom bastards."

"Well, what are you waiting for?" A voice snapped, Cana Alberona. The brunette was taking the destruction of the guild hall a little harder than most, and she wasn't afraid to hide that fact. "Get to it, and you better not just be trying to show off!"

"Damn Cana, that hurts, thought you'd have more faith in me," Arjun reprimanded her goodnaturedly. "But if you insist, I guess I can show off a little bit!"

"Men and their egos…" Cana sighed, she didn't care about showing off. All she wanted was for the guild to stop being destroyed, and she knew Arjun was strong so if he could get to the part where he kept his word that would be great.

Arjun closed his eyes and took a deep breath, feeling the sunlight dance across his skin, his fingertips dancing with the magic of the sun. It was harder to control his powers in the summer since he was constantly being supplied with such a strong form of power. Which is why he was always gone on jobs. However, an added perk would be the strength he felt, strength he could use to help his friends.

While he was gathering strength Arjun was completely unaware of the watchful eyes from above taking a keen interest in him. Master Jose in particular, who was not a pleased man. No one should have been able to truly defeat his shadow monsters, his creations, yet this Fairy Tailer was doing so with ease.

He wasn't happy to say the very least.

"Hikari, get in here right now!"

It was quiet for a moment before sparks of blue electricity began to dance next to Jose's throne in the control room.

"Well, you always know how to make quite the entrance," Jose commented watching as the blue sparks of electricity dissipated and a figure materialized, the form of Hikari Bolt, one of the two forces of nature known as The Lightning Thief.

"Just the quickest way to serve the needs of my Master," Hikari replied. "What is it that you desire?"

A deadly glare affixed itself in Jose's eyes. He wanted to squash Fairy Tail, and he wanted it done forever ago. Patience was a virtue he supposed, and once he got what he desired victory would be so sweet. They would rightfully take its place as the strongest guild in Fiore, and the force used to exterminate Fairy Tail would be a beautiful testament to the superior strength of Phantom Lord.

However, for now he smirked maniacally before meeting the cerulean eyes of his subordinate, "I need you and Gajeel to take care of some twins."

"Wake… Up…. Lucy…"

Aru watched from her seat in the corner as Reedus was hovering over Lucy, who was still asleep. They had arrived at the safe house not too long ago, and besides locking up the place there wasn't really anything to do. She affixed her eyes to Lucy's sleeping form, the blond wouldn't be knocked out for much longer.

"Reedus back off," Aru demanded, noticing the artist wasn't leaving the blond's side. "She is gonna wake up soon and freak out because she's not going to know where she is and probably had a weird dream. Sleep magic does that."

Reedus walked off dejectedly, and good timing too because Lucy decided to wake up. The blond shot up and looked around confused. Aru silently got up and made her way over to where Lucy was laying.

"Hey Reedus, what's going on? Where are we?"

"We're at one of Fairy Tail's safe houses" Aru replied choosing to answer for him, she was sure he didn't mind he seemed pretty engrossed in his painting at the moment. She then looked down at Lucy who jumped up out of shock because she didn't realize that Aru was there at first.

"Oh sorry," Lucy laughed, "You snuck up on me there, I didn't even realize you were here!"

Aru bit her lip and looked away a bit awkwardly, she really hated socializing, especially with new people, "Oh… uh sorry?"

Lucy smiled warmly, "There's no need for you to be sorry! In fact I'm the reason that you have to be here and everything, so I really should be saying sorry again."

"That's not true or necessary." Aru replied stiffly.

"Well, also thank you for earlier," Lucy began, remembering the heartfelt mini-speech Aru had given her earlier. It honestly meant a lot and really inspired Lucy, especially because she had hardly gotten the chance to know Aru. Lucy mostly associated her as Arjun's brother, or Seraphina's declared rival. She felt bad about that but Aru didn't really ever hang around the guild like her brother did so Lucy never got a chance to know the real her. "It really meant a lot and I want you to know that! Especially bec-"

Aru paused and suddenly stood up, "Phantom's about to be here."

"Wait, are you sure? How do you know?"

"I just do." Aru replied, before getting unreasonably embarrassed. Why she was so awkward and antisocial she'd never understand. Even weirder she didn't understand how she was able to comfort Lucy earlier. It wasn't like her, so she felt weird accepting the gratitude, even though it technically was her. Aru didn't think she did anything special, she just felt like Lucy needed to hear some grounding words from a guildmate.

Harsh banging on the metal doors of the hideout awoke Aru from her mini-stupor. She'd guess that Gajeel was most likely the one attempting to break in. The clashing sounded like metal on metal, and brute force definitely seemed to be his prerogative.

"Don't worry Lucy, stay behind me. Reedus protect her in case there's more people than we realize."

"Oui!"

The metal doors of the hideout busted open and three figures stood at the entrance. Gajeel, the Iron Dragon slayer who was currently retracting his arm from a long iron rod back to normal. Two Phantom guildmates stood besides him, although they were significantly weaker so she was not worried about them.

"Found ya blondie," Gajeel began menacingly. "You wouldn't think a prissy princess like you would smell bad, but if I'm gonna be honest you reek! It was way too easy to find you."

"Just like it'll be way too easy to defeat you." Aru stated calmly. Gajeel affixed her with some curiosity, this girl definitely had some power. Not like she'd be able to defeat him but he supposed he could have some fun with it.

"Aru, let me help you!" Lucy called out, "I may not have my zodiac keys, but I'm not completely useless!"

Keys, huh? That's right. Aru remembered something about Arjun mentioning that there was a celestial wizard who joined Fairy Tail. It was pretty rare to have an affinity for Celestial Magic, and to have keys of the 12 Zodiac? Aru couldn't help but glance at Lucy inquisitively.

"I'm quite alright," Aru replied coolly, she allowed her magic power to build up before she started emanating energy, a silvery aura surrounding her and dark pools of shadow building up at her feet.

"Oui! You're going to want to back up," Reedus warned Lucy who was standing a bit close to Aru and the brewing conflict.

"Oh right…" Lucy replied. She backed up before glancing at Aru with awe, she seemed to just drip with power, but in a very different way than Erza. The moon was dark and mysterious, yet regarded everywhere for its beauty. That's how it felt looking at Aru, beautiful, but Lucy had no idea what she was capable of, and it seemed Aru relished in the mystery.

"Three on one?" Gajeel laughed, "Well, I didn't come here to laugh but you fairies make some decent entertainment."

"I'll make sure you're more than entertained," Aru stated from behind the three wizards, "and by the way, this just became a one on one."

Aru held her hands apart and formed two different streams of magic light, one a silvery white the other a deep black. She forced her magic out quickly, the two streams of magic effectively hitting her targets, silvery moonlight taking down the girl in the beanie and her black new moon phase beam hitting the guy in glasses. They didn't even have a chance to react, let alone turn around, so Aru had effectively taken them down.

She wasn't lucky enough to get Gajeel in that attack too, but the momentary look of genuine shock on his face was good enough for her.

He masked his shock fairly quickly with a cocky grin, "Well, well, looks like I'm getting a real fight after all."

"Are you sure that's what you want?" Aru asked evenly. "If you leave now you may save yourself the disappointment."

"Wouldn't be a real fight if it wasn't dangerous," Gajeel then scoffed tauntingly, "Now come on, unless you're too scared to face the iron dragon slayer!"

"I am not the one with reason to fear," Aru replied, her voice teetering on a strange edge of deadly and calm. "Your cockiness truly is intriguing. Considering you're the one who destroyed our guild, you attacked and strung up our members, you personally broke the inter-guild conflict ban treaty, and now you're trying to kidnap one of our newest members and continuing to attack the rest of the guild."

Aru released even more power and her silver eyes narrowed murderously at Gajeel, "You see, I have the catalyst of the guild's grief and destruction right in front of me. One lonely little guy, and I'm going to make sure that he pays in full."

Gajeel's cocky expression didn't waver in the slightest at Aru's threat. Meanwhile Lucy and Reedus were hugging each other, sweating buckets at Aru's words plus tone, and they weren't even directed towards them.

Aru immediately had to dodge his iron dragon club, which came barrelling towards her at a slightly alarming speed. He seemed shocked she was able to avoid it, but she had her own enhanced senses he knew nothing about.

Being connected to the powers of the moon gave her sharpened foresight and intuition, she was able to read the play of battle. Aru didn't know the future persay, but she had really strong feelings, ones that she always trusted.

"Full Moon Cycle: Begin."

Aru was exclusively bathed in darkness with regards to the new moon, the first phase of the moon cycle. Represented by an empty sky with the new moon not in view, cloaked behind the shadows of the night sky.

"Time for me to stop throwing my punches!" Gajeel shouted, "Iron Dragon Roar!"

"Infinity Shield!"

A dark torrent of shadow swirled to life in front of Aru, effectively taking the brunt of Gajeel's breath attack. He frowned before roaring even more, putting more power to push the brink of Aru's magic. The lunar mage wasn't giving up, but she didn't want to push this stalemate.

"Gravity Dome!"

"She can use gravity magic too?" Lucy commented in complete awe of the powers of lunar magic.

"Oui! Since the gravity of the moon is what gives us tides and such Aru has slight control over it as a lunar mage."

Gajeel's eyes widened as tremendous pressure nearly forced him to the ground. He could stand, but only by expending far more power. He grunted in frustration before halting his roar— only to immediately be met by a slurry of shadows.

"New Moon Promenade!"

"You won't be able to knock me down!" Gajeel called out, using his iron to effectively stand his ground against the constant shadows swiping at him.

"Waxing Phase: Unlock!"

The shadows surrounding Aru began to slowly be infiltrated by specks of white and silver. Although, the majority of her magic remained black.

"It's just like the phases of the moon…" Lucy commented to herself. Noticing how the white was meant to represent the beginning stage of the moon's journey to full.

"Iron Dragon Wing Attack!"

Aru calmly watched as the waves of iron dragon slayer magic made its way to her, before countering with an attack of her own, "Moonlight Slivers!"

Their attacks headed towards each other, yet never quite made contact. Aru narrowed her eyes suspiciously before realizing something.

The reason their attacks didn't hit each other was because there was a third interwoven in the middle. The more she became aware of it the more the soft hum of electricity played in the back of her mind.

Oh no...

She was able to throw up a shield of protection in front of Lucy and Reedus, who thankfully didn't get attacked. However, Aru's main focus was on the stream of blue electricity that was now headed her way.

"Infinit-"

Aru grit her teeth painfully as an arc of blue lightning hit her before she was able to put her own shield up. She held up her left arm allowing that to take the brunt of the attack. Even without the introduction she was sure to get Aru knew who made their appearance, someone she was quite familiar with.

Hikari Bolt, The Lightning Thief. Utilizer of blue lightning magic, which packed a special, paralyzing, touch.

"Ahh," a deceptively charming voice rang out, "You've really got to work on your timing love."

Aru looked into the blue eyes of her new opponent with absolutely no emotion, "What makes you think you can call me that."

"What makes you think you're special?" Hikari asked, his thin eyebrows wiggling playfully, "it's a term of endearment is all."

"Usually people who are actually fond of one another use those terms," Aru replied. She was holding her left arm carefully awaiting any sign of feeling returning to it. "I wouldn't say we count considering I loathe your entire existence."

"Ah, how I love your way with words. I've missed you Aru, and your unabashed honesty. It's quite… charming." Hikari commented airily before affixing his look at Gajeel, who needed to be doing his part of the job. Taking that blond Heartfilia girl back to the Master. "You're welcome. You can do your part of the job now, me and the lovely Ms. Cheema have business to get to."

"Don't think I'm gonna go and thank you for stealing my fight!" Gajeel barked.

Aru stepped forward slightly flexing the fingers in her left hand. Just a little bit more… "First of all, you and I have absolutely no business Hikari. In fact, please leave. Gajeel isn't going anywhere. He's absolutely going to pay for what he's done to the guild."

"Fine by me!" Gajeel bellowed before turning both of his hands into clubs. He wasn't one to back away from a fight, especially one that had the potential to get interesting.

"Oh Aru, you've always been so… transactional," Hikari commented, "Gajeel grab the Heartfilia girl and go, Master Jose is waiting and he specifically asked you to fetch her. I am more than capable of taking care of Aru."

Gajeel was annoyed that Master Jose had sent the one person who would argue with him. He was missing out on prime fighting time. "What're you even doing here, weren't you supposed to beat up the other one?"

Aru felt her stomach drop when Gajeel said that… no way. For some reason she felt like the other one was referring to her brother. Especially because of the way Hikari was smiling at her right now.

"What other one?" She spat out venomously.

Hikari fixed Aru with an evil grin before snapping his fingers. Blue bolts of lightning surrounded a random spot on the floor and when the lightning started to fade she saw exactly what that terrible feeling had warned her about.

The defeated figure of Arjun.

Aru immediately rushed to the side of her brother who had collapsed to the floor. His pulse was fine, just slow. Yet, he looked awful. His breathing was labored and he was covered in ash. As long as Arjun was alive then everything was good. However…

She couldn't stop shaking in anger, and her primary target immediately switched from Gajeel to Hikari. Aru didn't care if that's what he wanted, there was no way she was going to let him get away with hurting Arjun.

But at the same time she couldn't abandon her mission and let Gajeel take Lucy. That's exactly who Phantom was going after and it was her responsibility to protect her.

"What's wrong Aru?" Hikari asked mockingly, "Feeling conflicted? Don't worry I'll make your decision clear darling. You have to defeat me!"

With that he sent out a brutal blast of electricity, which Aru was hardly able to avoid. She grit her teeth in annoyance and immense anger as she saw Gajeel easily beat Reedus and begin to get away with Lucy.

"Infinity Dome!"

Aru raised her hands and put forth a dome of hardened black shadows which protected her from Hikari's paralyzing bolts, which began raining in at every angle. She looked up to her opponent who was standing on a pile of boxes that the warehouse held. If Aru could just make him lose his footing…

"Gravity Release!"

A large silver magic circle appeared beneath the base of the boxes Hikari was standing on. Aru smirked before forcefully releasing the gravity in his vicinity. Just like that all the boxes and metal scraps flew up, trapping Hikari if only for the time being.

Aru wasted no time at all before attempting to follow Gajeel outside where he had Lucy. There was no way she could let him get away. Even if she had to fight Hikari and Gajeel at the same time.

Before she could though a flash of blue crossed her vision and her legs were hit by a stray blue bolt. She promptly went numb before crashing to the floor painfully. Aru then locked eyes murderously with Hikari who was laughing within the mess of her gravity zone.

"Your little gravity trick isn't going to do anything Darling!" Hikari claimed albeit his struggle against such a simple spell. All the debris was getting annoying, and even if he destroyed everything all the smaller pieces floating around would be worse. He was just going to have to defeat her from within.

Aru took a labored breath from on the floor. Her head was buzzing from the pain of both the spell and falling so harshly. But, she didn't have much time to waste as Hikari sent more lightning down in a desperate frenzy.

Her infinity dome was up once again as she planned her next move. Obviously Lucy was taken far away by now and Hikari harmed Arjun, so there was no going back. However, at the same time it was going to be hard to defeat him and to have to dodge his lightning everytime or else she'd be paralyzed.

She was just going to have to take him head on. No holding back and somehow get past all of his lightning and overwhelm him. Now that wasn't Aru's typical move but she couldn't afford to be overtaken by her indecisiveness right now.

Speaking of it was silent… way too silent.

"Blue Storm!"

Aru felt the tension in the air and the electricity crackling in the room. Hikari's power started to build up and she felt it swirling circles around her and the dome of protection. Her heart started pounding rapidly and she watched as the hairs on every inch of her body shot up in response to the electricity.

"Power Surge!"

A super concentrated blast of electricity had formed on the outside of Aru's dome. The cloud fused with all the lightning before blasting down in one uniform bolt. Aru's defense cracked on impact and the bolt raged into the warehouse floor leaving a pile of ash and debris in its wake.

"HA!"

Maniacal laughs filled the somewhat barren warehouse with gusto. Hikari, who was still trapped in the gravity trash mess had managed to take down one of Fairy Tail's elite without even being able to see her completely. He swept at the mess incessantly trying to get out, but it didn't matter the spell should dissipate now that he defeated her.

"Wow, I took down twins back to back," he laughed to himself, "There has to be some award for that."

"Only award you're getting is most likely to get your ass handed to you by your darling Aru!"

"Half Moon Redemption!"

A blazing spiral of black and white matter rained itself on Hikari who was overcome by shock and not able to dodge or defend in time. Aru smirked knowingly as he crashed to the floor. She wasted no time before kicking him against the wall and attempting to punch him with her Shadow Spike. He anticipated the move and was able to grab her fist before lighting up a spell of his own.

"Spark Frenzy!"

Blue lightning danced from his fingertips and with the close proximity Aru got hit way more than she'd like to. Her right leg and both her arms were numb, as well as the left side of her face which honestly just felt really weird. Hikari then took advantage of her stumbling weakness and gutted her in the stomach before leaning in to whisper in her ear with a disgusting smirk set across his face.

"To think you were as pathetically weak as the rest of your guild… tch I had such high standards for you Aru! Least you could do is live up to them. It's truly been a wonderful relationship. You will be forever changed without me in your life. Well… I suppose it's my fault for having this beautiful version of you in my head. I hate to say it, but it's over babe."

Aru pushed back from him, as much as she could anyways with half of her body paralyzed, and glared, "Did you fry your brain cells?"

"Woah, woah, woah, did I just hear you break my baby sister's heart? Right in front of me… that's cold man we're gonna have to talk."

Hikari's face froze for a millisecond, not quite anticipating that Arjun would be back in the fight to any degree. Though… Arjun had moved from his original spot on the floor after Hikari destroyed Aru's dome.

Arjun glared at Hikari menacingly. Not only had Hikari completely overpowered Arjun at the beach, he embarrassed him in front of all of Fairy Tail. He was supposed to be helping his guild mates defeat the phantom ghouls right now, but instead he got his ass handed to him by the enemy.

But not again, "Solar Rampage!"

With that several beacons of sunlight exploded into existence right next to Hikari who struggled against the strength of the attack. Arjun rushed over to Aru and helped her get up since the paralyzing effect took a while to wear off.

"Nice to see you back in action, brother who is definitely older than me," Aru remarked sarcastically as soon as he was by her side.

Arjun grinned, "I'm glad you're finally on board baby sis. And I do have you to thank for waking me up so incredibly gently. Next time though I am limiting you to only three slaps across the face."

Aru rolled her eyes. While Hikari was distracted with thinking she was in the dome she had managed to slip out and keep the ruse going before he destroyed it. With that time she was able to make it to Arjun and wake him up, which only took her hissing his name 20 times, shaking him, and slapping him a grand total of ten times.

All in all pretty easy.

"Aru, I'm really sorry," Arjun said suddenly and she turned to him interested in his somber mood. His fists were clenched and tension emanated from every pore of his essence. "I let this piece of work defeat me and embarrass us and the guild."

And I'm sorry that I always need you around to make it right. But Arjun wouldn't say that part out loud.

Aru absorbed this for a moment before nodding and putting her hand on his shoulder, "And now we're gonna show him the Arjun Cheema I know. Bringing you here was Hikari's mistake, you and I are an impossible team to defeat, and I'm glad you're here to take him down with me."

A feeling of pride swelled itself in Arjun's chest and he grinned, "Sounds like it's time for the terror twins to strike!"

Aru groaned, "If I hear that stupid nickname aga-!"

"Blaze on!"

With that Arjun rushed forward and Aru jumped into action right beside him. Hikari shot at them both with raging bolts of electricity but the both were able to dodge. Arjun came from the left raining down the blazing rays of the sun, whereas Aru struck from the right, her slurry of shadows following in her wake.

"New Moon Promenade"

"Phoenix's Resurrection!"

Hikari's eyes widened as two powerful attacks threatened to overwhelm him. He jumped up to avoid the brunt of the attack and countered with one of his own, "Static Storm!"

The constant strikes of electricity fought back against both Aru and Arjun who were putting everything in to overwhelm him, but it wasn't working.

"We need to manage to get close to him." Arjun whispered to Aru. "His defensive magic is too strong but if we get close he won't be able to block."

"Uh huh," Aru nodded while dodging a spare blast of electricity, "the whole paralyzing thing doesn't make that hard."

"Would you stop being sarcastic and come up with ideas instead?"

"Shadow Storm!"

Darkness began to settle in the room and the whole warehouse had an eerie feeling. Aru's shadow storm spell connected her to the dark side of the moon and allowed her to diminish any light, if only for a short while.

Hikari laughed as the electric blue light of his magic danced around him, an obvious contrast to the pooling shadows. "Did you think turning off the lights would save you! If I can't see you I'll just destroy… everything!"

Lightning shot out sporadically from every angle and Aru had only a second to grab Arjun and retreat behind a pole. All the flashing of lights felt like it was going to give her a seizure but Hikari was desperate to win and would obviously lash out.

"Why'd you do that?" Arjun demanded, "I can barely see and you know if I don't have sunlight I'm a lot weaker."

"I know, but-" Aru winced at the crackling of electricity that just barely grazed her calf. They needed to move and fast.

"You're going to distract Hikari out here with your light, since it's so dark you won't need that much. I'll go in hidden in the darkness, and get close like you said."

Arjun frowned, "Why can't I do the more dangerous part?"

"Because I am the oldest and you can't say no to your baby sister."

"Those statements are conflicting I hope you know, just like I am with this plan!"

Hikari laughed gleefully, "I hear you~!"

Aru and Arjun both shared a look before dashing off. The pole that served as their cover was promptly destroyed and Hikari wasn't stopping the lightning storm anytime now.

"Yoohoo!" Arjun called out as he was bathed in a slight golden glow of his powers. "You said you could hear us and I thought it would help if you could see me too."

"Cocky little shit," Hikari whispered, completely taking the bait. His incessant lightning storm paused and Aru took this moment to get as close as she possibly could. She was behind him to his back left and she made eye contact with Arjun who was on the opposite end of her.

Then Hikari turned around and released a bolt of lightning, the Lunar mage couldn't even blink before the blast impaled itself in her chest and her shadow mirage immediately let up. She stumbled back and held her heart before falling to the ground hearing the shouts of Arjun in the near distance.

This was great news for Hikari. He knew he sensed something suspicious with the lack of attacks from Aru, hiding in the shadows, perfect opportunity for a lunar mage to strike.

But as he now looked at the raging expression on Arjun Cheema's face he was having second thoughts. The solar mage looked ready to murder someone upon his fallen sister. Hikari laughed, he wasn't going to lose, maybe now he'd see some real action.

"Hah! You thought that would work?" Hikari asked as he sauntered toward the fallen body of Aru. "Sneak attacks are for the truly desperate. Didn't know I brought that out in you…"

Hikari was silenced with a devastating kick where the sun never shines. With the little strength Aru had left she was able to send him flying with a gravity spell and she looked to the relieved face of Arjun with finality.

He understood her glance immediately and grinned. With the lights back on his powers were returning with full force.

"Hinarki or whatever, my boy! It's been horrible getting to know you and after that whole breakup scene with my sister I'm hurt…" Arjun claimed as he prepared a spell in his palm. "So I have a little something from you, a gift and all of Fairy Tail wants to give it to you!"

"Solar Shot: Core's Destruction!"

Hikari flared as he attempted to defend himself from Arjun's spell, but it was too little an effort too late. His electricity crumbled and he was overtaken by Arjun's blast, the sunlight boring into every pore of his body. He fell to the ground and laid there stunned.

"My… my name is Hikari dip shit…"

And then he was out.

Arjun jumped up with joy before rushing over to his fallen sister. Aru was still awake but laying on the ground. He looked over at her before offering a hand to help her up which she gladly took. But instead of getting up, she fell and Arjun did with her.

She rolled her eyes before they both exploded into a fit of laughter. Decidingly remaining on the floor. As much as she didn't want to admit it, that last attack did her in, and it seemed Arjun was still recovering from earlier. At least no one would have to deal with Hikari. She was just going to have faith that Fairy Tail would be able to finish the job, and if there was anything she knew about Natsu, Erza, and the others it was that they would never back down.

"So you got your heart broken, huh Aru?" Arjun asked shamelessly. "Never thought I'd see the day. Need your big bro to rough him up some more?"

Aru narrowed her eyes. "How many times have we been over this? I'm older than you!"

"Really, by how much?"

"7 Minutes and 34 seconds."

"Y'know time is just a construct."

"Good night Arjun."

"I think you're just trying to avoid the important things… like how you're in love with the enemy? Star crossed lovers... huh."

"I SAID GOOD NIGHT."
