"So, how are you related?" Malcolm glanced between Mirabel who was coloring with Mack and Mason and Cas who was helping cook dinner with Eliza, Kayla, and Lucia.

Malcolm was not sold on this mysterious cousin. It was so very convenient that someone just showed up and claim to be the dying rich person's child.

"Oh, I'm her grandmother," Mirabel replied not thinking as she was giving Mason a new crayon.

"Mira," Cas turned and gave her a look holding a knife, reminding Mirabel very much of her angry mother, "She's my cousin. She likes making the joke cause she has the same name as our grandmother."

Malcolm, Kayla, and Eliza gave them weird looks as Cas continued glaring at a nervously laughing Mirabel.

"Yep, I'm 2nd Mirabel Madrigal," Mirabel lied as she glanced at the suspicious looking Malcolm, "Abuela Mirabel is the first Mirabel and your baby is Mirabel number 3."

Lucia gasped and looked at Cas in admiration, "Baby? But you're a baby!"

"Wait, does that mean we have a niece?!" Kayla asked excited, well she was 11.

Her twin sister Eliza gave her a look, "No, stupid. Cas is our cousin so her baby is a our 2nd cousin."

Cas laughed awkwardly as Luica grabbed her cheeks, "ah, I have 3 babies. Triplets."

"They're really cute," Mirabel added as she saw the glare Cas was giving her as Luica continued babbling about babies and how Cas was too young, "They're 9 months old now, Their names are Marisol, Marcial and little baby Mirabel."

Malcolm gave Cas a weird look, "You've had three kids?"

"Well, adopted," Cas explained as she weasled away from Luica, "I love them regardless. I'll show you pictures after dinner."

….

Everyone was eating the Ajiaco which had been made by Cas with Luica's help.

"This is quite lovely," Luica commented as she sipped the soup.

Cas smiled as Mirabel explained, "My mother taught us. She's an amazing cook. Her arepas are the best."

"Is that like a mexican food?" Malcolm asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Colombian food," Cas replied with a look, "Me and Mirabel are from Colombia."

Kayla looked at Malcolm confused, "Isn't that the place with all the drug dealers?"

Mirabel and Cas looked very offended as Luica hushed the children.

"Children you know not everything on the news is true," the nanny scolded, "Now eat your food and leave them alone."

…..

Mirabel couldn't help but smile at Cas who had passed out asleep on the couch, she was splayed out on the couch and little 3 year old Mason pulled himself onto the couch and fell asleep on her. Mirabel could understand that. Everyone said Cas made a wonderful pillow.

Luica had kicked everyone out of the kitchen while she cleaned. This led to Mira being seated in the living room with the Jameson grandkids, Mirabel was playing uno with Eliza, Kayla, and Mack. Malcolm was in a nearby chair looking threw the pictures Cas had brought.

The time travel had assumed he would be silent till the older Jamesons got home but that was proven wrong when he walked over the Mirabel and pointed the picture of Cas, Jaime, and Mateo from Jaime's last birthday.

Malcolm pointed to boys, "Who are they?"

"Oh, Jaime and Mateo," Mirabel replied surprised he asked. Malcolm had not warmed up to Cas or her at all. Especially after the Colombia commented.

"Jaime…Mateo…?" Malcolm pronounced the names clumsy as he looked at the boys in the picture again, "Jaime is the older one? He looks my age…"

"But Jaime doesn't start with a M," Mack commented confused in a way only a 7 year old can, "Boys names all start with a M in the Jameson family."

"Do they?" Mirabel asked confused as she for the time that it was true they all started with a M.

Eliza nodded as Kayla started rambling, "Yeah. Mason, Mack, Malcolm, Uncle Michael, Grandpa Matthew, Great- Grandpa Maxe, Great Great Grandpa Mark, and….Well there's at least one more but I forgot him."

"Great Great Great Grandpa Montgomery," Eliza supplied as looked at Mirabel, "Girls in are family's names in with an -ah sound too. Mom said it's just a cute thing they did too. Mom's name is Kara. Martha, Kara, Kayla, Eliza, oh!" Eliza pointed at Cas, "Casandra and Mateo."

"They match!" Mack nodded happily.

"But why does Jaime not match?" Malcolm asked confused looking at the boy in the photo.

That was a mystery, Mirabel wondered. The girl knew that Abuela Mirabel had supplied the middle names for Casandra and Jaime but Pedro and Hannah and picked out the first names together. Why alienat Jaime from the tradition….

A key turn was heard as the front door opened the very confused Jameson family adults came home.

…..

10 years before 7 year old Malcolm Jameson was in the park with his Aunt Hannah as she bought him ice cream.

She probably didn't notice when she had handed him the popsicle and said, "here you go, Jaime."

Malcolm didn't correct her. It made her sad whenever he corrected her that it wasn't his name.
