The next day after the day in the park….
In the living room was a meeting of sorts. It was a room full of puppies. In the slight middle was Dawkin, who was leaning against a leg of a table, with his arms crossed. He hated the idea of Dolly and Dylan asking their parents to go on a date. ….. Not that they would ever tell them, Dawkin proposed.
He slowly looked around, and saw Da Vinci, who was the only one eyeing him. She was the only one that knew as much as he did.. Dawkin had already figured out the pieces. Dolly had felt the same way as Dylan did, and Da Vinci was the other one who was doing the same thing Dawkin was trying to do.
However, Dawkin couldn't confront her right now. …..
…As there were other pups around both of them.
There was Deepak, the most nervous dalmatian in a hood. He was sitting there, rubbing his arm slowly. He was calm, but he was always nervous. He was wanting to go stretch somewhere, but he was responsible enough to see if anything needed to be at least fixed so the universe wouldn't hate him.
Dante was right beside him. He seemed much more calm then he should have been…
…It was like he knew something as Dawkin eyed him. He even seemed to laugh.
"...Something on your mind Dawkin….?" Dante asked, almost too modest.
Da Vinci was twirling her paws together, hoping she was ready to watch the pups.
Da Vinci looked over at Dawkin nervously.
Dawkin slowly closed his eyes, and he pushed off the leg of the table. As he stood there, he hummed, thinking of the right words. He turned to Dante.
"...Well, I know Dylan and Dolly are going out…..side…, and I was wondering if they would be….uh…." Dawkin answered as he snapped his paw. "...Safe!"
Dante's smile shifted a bit. He seemed to tilt his head. His grin thickened.
"Oh…. I've seen how those two are…. I can see many things…." Dante chuckled a bit. "And of course OUR END!"
Dawkin slowly pointed at him.
"If you say DISASTER one more time…..!" Dawkin snapped.
Da Vinci closed her eyes with a helpless smile. She waved a paw.
"Boys! Boys! Everything is going to be fine…!" She hoped.
Dawkin tilted and gave Da Vinci a very stern eye. Da Vinci's expression shattered as she lowered her paw slightly. Dawkin warned her about the date.
Dawkin turned around sharply and resumed crossing his arms.
"I still say someone needs to watch them!" Dawkin turned to all the pups. "They did just get into a fight after all!"
Dante smiled as he swiftly held up a finger. He smiled in a weird way, almost in a confident glare.
Dawkin's brow raised a bit. He hadn't seen Dante smile this way….
…. It was almost as if he knew Dawkin was holding back information.
"So…. How 'are' Dylan and Dolly?" Dante asked as he tilted his head sideways. "Why don't we get to go where they're going? … I heard it was supposed to be fun!"
Dante leaned a bit closer.
"Something…. Going on?"
Both Da Vinci and Dawkin leaned back stunned, almost speechless.
Dawkin almost jumped in relief when Deepak spoke.
"Something…..going on?" Deepak asked, holding his chin, completely oblivious.
Dawkin shook in his own nervousness. He sweated. He slowly brought his paws up in panic.
"Yes! What is Dylan a-and Dolly doing!?" Dawkin asked, confounded.
Dante chuckled a few laughs. He then looked at Deepak and nudged his shoulder.
"Don't worry about it Deebark! Let's go get some kibble!" Dante suggested.
Deepak just rubbed his arm, even more confused, but he slowly left.
"Okay… Yeah, sure!"
Da Vinci and Dawkin slowly turned back to Dante, right as Deepak turned the corner.
Dante slowly smiled softly at them.
"Are those two searching for Internal Peace yet?" He asked, in a normal, but quiet way.
Dawkin gulped. He slowly stepped up, grasping his own paw in a nervous manner. Dawkin looked up to Dante in a frown.
"I don't know what you're talking about…." Dawkin spoke slowly, standing his ground.
Dante yawned once.
"Let's cut to the chase, I want to take a nap…. Look, I had a dream, Okay Like a big prediction…" Dante tried to explain tiredly. "Look I just had a dream about it okay….? I know about Dylan and Dolly acting all kinds of goofy…."
Da Vinci frowns suddenly.
"Because you don't know anything!" Da Vinchi snapped. She slowly poked Dante in the face with a brush. "All Dylan did was save Dolly from a bunch of street dogs, while all Dolly was doing was skateboarding!"
Da Vinci soon brushed much harder, pressing against his face
Dante felt the brush press into his face, before he used his wrist and shoved it off.
"But am I wrong?" Dante asked slowly. He even started to back up.
"C-Cause I'm not wrong….. I'm never wrong….." Dante started to become himself again. He started to shake.
"Don't you know….. We're all gonna die one day!?... Real soon!"
Da Vinci finally had enough and she threw her brush at his face.
"BACK OFF!"
"AIPE!" Dante yelped as he hopped away from it. He started to trott away.
He started to hum.
"... But I'M NOT WROOONG~!" Dante chanted as he seemed to disappear in his song.
Dawkin gripped his paws in sudden anger. Mad at himself, and mad at Dolly and Dylan.
However….
…He just tilted forward in defeat.
"...It's hopeless…..he's not wrong…." Dawkin mumbled.
Da Vinchi looked towards Dante. She could still see him trotting slowly away, towards the stairs. She watched Dante ascend the stairs.
Da Vinci looked down a bit.
"So…. Dante can predict the future….?"
Dawkin turned hard towards her.
"No! He can't! He's just a looney!" Dawkin soon walked away, flabbergasted. "I'm living with nothing but looneys!"
Da Vinci held her chin, and looked down, now left all alone.
She still wondered…..
…And she still had hope.
Dolly was brushing her ears softly. She was wanting to look nice.
However, she soon was looking at herself in her tall round mirror, and she pondered.
Soon Dylan appeared in her mind, being a hero, saving her life, twice….
She looked at her beauty, but she felt excitement…..
…And Guilt.
Dolly slowly touched her forehead and looked at her reflection. She did feel like talking to herself at that moment.
"Okay me… What exactly are we doing here…?"
She turned around and she started brushing her other ear.
"You got rejected by a cool husky named Hansel, pretty much spent your childhood life watching that handsome dog…." Dolly slowly dropped her comb to her lap. "...and he didn't think you were cool….."
Dolly looked back at her reflection one more time.
"Dylan tells you; you're cool….. Saves the entire family… Beats up some bullies….." Dolly finally spins around. …"And you think you are in love with your own brother!"
Dolly felt content with her answer, but when she thought about what that meant, and how wrong it sounded, she turned even more mad.
"I'm not CRAZY!" Dolly pointed at her mirror. "You're CRAZY!"
There was a slight knock on the door.
Dolly jumped, and then turned ever so slightly.
"Yes?!" Dolly turned to the door..
"It's uh…. Me….. Can I open?"
It was Dylan's voice.
Dolly felt her heart thump so very hard. She thought about Dylan coming into the bathroom with her, and talking would be great. However, she felt a rush of raw emotion fill her heart.
A new feeling.
Dolly thought about hugging Dylan…..and then kissing.
Dolly shook her head and looked down. She threw her comb.
"NOT AT THIS MOMENT!" The comb hit the door. "Can't you tell I'm trying to think of an excuse for mom and dad?!"
Dylan opened the door slightly. Dolly could almost see his nose.
"But I- I already took care of that!" Dylan panicked.
Dolly felt her blush appear, and her eyebrow twitched from annoyance.
"I….am in the bathroom. Go wait by mom and dad!" Dolly demanded.
Dylan closed the door quickly, and Dolly heard him move away from the area.
Dolly looked down, feeling her heart thump more and more, until it slowed. It felt like a rush, and Dolly could barely contain it. Dylan was everything to her.
She hoped tonight was a good night.
Dolly soon met Dylan by the stairway. Her heart still thumped, but she knew Dylan was still the dork she always knew. She just…..had to think of him as the same brother…
….Right?
"Okay, but mom told me that she wants one of them to come with us…..?" Dolly hinted at a recent conversation she had with her mom the night before.
Dylan tilted his head. He felt his heart slow down a bit as he took in a slow breath.
"So…. Either mom or dad are coming?" Dylan asked Dolly as he slowly walked down the stairs together with her.
"Well, yeah! …You did get in a fight because of me after all….." Dolly told him in a quiet and sad tone.
Dolly paused at the steps with a nod. However she smirked in a cute way.
"Don't worry though….. Where we are going, there is plenty of time for us to be alone for the …." Dolly held up air quotes. "The 'We gotta talk' Thing….:"
Dylan's heart started to beat as they reached the bottom of the stairs.
"So we really are….. gonna talk…. Alone?" Dylan kept finding himself questioning over and over, still contemplating their situation.
Dolly felt her heart race a little bit, for the plans she made were perfect testing grounds. How far it would go would be up to Dylan. He was the more responsible one.
If Dylan didn't make a move, she would give up on her brother.
Dylan kept his gaze on Dolly, watching her eyes flutter.
"...Right?" Dyan pressed forward.
Dolly blinked a few times, and then looked down with a slight smile. She rolled her head towards the stairs.
"Come on… dork." Dolly teased as she moved forward.
Doug and Dillah were sweeping the freshly installed rug. They smiled towards their children as they approached.
Doug stood up with a smile.
"Are we ready to go then?!" Doug cheered in an announcing way.
Dylan took glaces between his mother and his father
"Wait… which one of you two are coming?" Dylan asked curiously.
Doug smiled and became a bit bigger.
"Me of course! …. You two got into some trouble last time! I might need to be there…." Doug explained.
Dylan blinked once, but then he returned his father's smile.
"Of course! It'll be fun!" Dylan agreed, trying to feel real as much as possible.
Dolly felt her heart racing. Every moment she stood there…
….There was guilt.
She didn't want to go through with this when she stared at mom and dad. She was trying to go on a date with their son, as their daughter.
She looked down, feeling a little guilty and she chuckled.
"Thanks mom and dad….."
Dylan then nudged her softly. Dolly looked up at Dylan, and for some odd reason she felt his smile bring her back to calmness.
"Hey, and don't worry about anything…." Dylan told her. Dolly felt nervous at first, overthinking this. Dylan then looked ahead "I'll protect you as well….. We'll just have fun today…"
Dolly had to stop herself from gulping. She nervously smiled at her mom and dad.
"Yeah…. Nothing but fun, and no trouble." Dolly mumbled.
"Good!" Delilah spoke out. "You already did get Dylan hurt, and you shouldn't be able to go as it is!"
Delilah slowly rolled her paw to prolong her statement.
"...But Dylan did….come and talk you out of trouble. He told us how Da Vinci was with you, and you had to act upon for her protection." Delilah explained herself further.
Dolly blinked. Dylan had said that? He bailed her out with the truth? Did Da Vinci tell him?
She had many questions, but she nodded.
"Y-Yeah…. Da Vinci was there. I pushed her into a bush, and walked off. The street dogs followed….." Dolly relayed as she tried to stay still. She was feeling a little winded with the conversation.
Doug nodded. He then closed his eyes and he then nodded.
"Street dogs…. Yeah, they can be a lot of trouble." Doug opened his eyes shortly after. "I had to deal with a few back before I had you guys…"
Dolly turned and grabbed her backpack. She put it on and turned to Dylan.
"Okay, now you ready to go, mister three arm dog?" Dolly teased Dylan.
And with that they left to go to their destination.
Dolly and Dylan were walking ahead of Doug. Dylan was still wondering where they were going in the first place.
Doug and Dolly seemed to know.
"Sooo….still no guesses of what's happening today….?" Dolly quizzes Dylan with a cute smile.
Dylan smiled as he tried to think about it. He wasn't exactly sure where they would be going.
However, Dylan was eager to talk to Dolly so he hoped it was a place where he could take Dolly to the side so he could tell her exactly how he felt.
Dylan was ready. He needed to tell her.
Only he could keep her away from danger like Bones. He knew this now.
He smiled at her again.
"No clue!"
Dolly rolled her eyes. She turned the corner, and Dylan began to hear noise, but was too focused on Dolly's voice for a moment.
"You know for a nerd, you really are still a dork…." Dolly teased as she trotted towards some light, and Dylan blinked in sudden realization.
In front of Dolly was a large gathering. In fact, it was an amusement park.
There were huge tents, balloons everywhere, fences, the smell of food, and people with their dogs of all alike.
Dylan soon scanned the area in awe, as he saw a small roller coaster run in the far distance.
Dylan walked ahead abit, but then he turned and nudged Dolly playfully.
"This is going to be great!" Dylan leaned in. "Hey! I'll race you to the first place that sells food!"
Dolly slowly touched the edge of her backpack with a look in Dylan's eyes.
Both of them were full of wonder.
Dolly blushed as she pulled her skateboard out quickly, and tossed it on the pavement.
Dolly hopped once, and landed on the board, soaring off fast.
"Bow-wacka-wow~! See ya there Dylan!" Dolly mocked as she was racing fast away from a confused Dylan.
Dylan soon smiled. He grinned eagerly and somewhat confidently.
"You're on!" Dylan then sprinted towards her.
Doug just shifted his smile.
"Well…. Those two will be hard to keep up with today….." Doug muttered out loud. He rolled his eyes, knowing there wasn't much he could do.
"I'm sure it'll be fine…."
"It will NOT be fine!" Dawkin barked within the attic.
Within this attic was only Dawkin…..
…And Da Vinci who stayed with her carvas and was sticking her paws in two different paints. Dawkin and Da Vinci both agreed to meet within this attic to 'talk'.
Dawkin went and sat on a box.
"Dolly and Dylan are out already, while I'm stuck here doing nothing but watching the pups!" Dawkin complained. He grabbed his head. "It's not just that they already had been in a fight, but now they are also acting weird!"
Da Vinci slowly nodded her head. She seemed to be thinking. She just couldn't think of the right path. She was sitting there, trying to buy time at this point.
"Yeah… Yeah…. But they'll be safe this time, right?" Da Vinci asked as she started to swirl her canvas with color.
Dawkin held his head slowly, but then he soon turned to stare at Da Vinci as she was busy painting.
Dawkin felt she knew more than she let on. Dawkin was certain. Dawkin stood and crossed his arms.
"So! What do you know about Dolly?" Dawkin suddenly questioned demandly.
"That Dolly and Dylan both got rejected, nearly drowned, got attacked by full grown street dogs and they're trying to not lose their minds….." Da Vinci spoke honestly, trying to avoid talking about Dolly and her feelings.
Dawkin frowned harder. He saw Da Vinci was wavering. Dawkin pointed slowly at Da Vinci.
"They said a date…. Dylan has been feeling emotions in a similar manner!" Dawkin revealed in a panicked tone.
Da Vinci let out a breath and nearly touched her face with her wet paws. She slowly avoided her paws as she turned to Dylan.
"He….. He does?" She asked too desperately by accident
Dawkin pondered as he kept his point on Da Vinci. Dawkin gathered his thoughts and slowly jabbed the point.
"...Does….Dolly….. like Dylan like that…?" Dawkin asked slowly.
Da Vinci's tail began to pat the floor quite nervously. She soon let out a little whine when she saw Dawkins' knowing, and concerned expression.
"N-... No….. I…. mean….. I….."
Dawkin tilted his head with a remorseful stare. Dawkin soon let out a breath and looked down.
"Look…. I only want what's best for them. Can you at least tell me the truth?" Dawkin asked as nicely as he could.
Da Vinci looked down, ashamed. She took in a deep breath.
"I…. I mean….. She …. She, uh….. She said something like that….." She admitted, then she felt her fur prick up. "Please don't tell anyone else!"
Dawkin patted his leg in frustration.
"Does it look like I told anyone; anything?!" Dawkin threw his paws in the air. "I'm just trying to be a good brother, dang it!"
Dawkin took a step off the box in mild irritation.
Da Vinci watched him grumble a little bit, but then she let her head fall a bit.
"I think you're a good brother….." Da Vinci said within a deep sigh.
Da Vinci and Dakwin soon exchange glances in a ponder. They both felt worried, but they were both feeling a little differently.
"...I don't like where this is going….." Dawkin admitted.
At the fair. Dylan and Dolly were running a bit more, before they finally began to slow down.
"Boy! Is it big this year…." Dylan was astounded as he spoke that out gladly. They proceeded to look around. There were many stands and games humans were playing. There were humans and some dogs too. It was very lively. Dylan smiled, thinking of the many possibilities that waited.
Dolly nodded her head with a smile. Now alone with him, she seemed to be… comfortable….. She just felt her heart thumping as they slowly slowed down at the food vendors, where there were lots of people and dogs.
"Yeah…. It's not a normal yearly fair. We might not get another one…." Dolly told slowly as she tried to find a place to get a bite.
Dylan nodded slowly. He seemed to be calm. He was nervous, sure…..
…But he could feel his heart moving him… to be braver.
…. To be cool to her.
He just told himself not to overdo it…..
For a moment they looked around, both inside their feelings, and around them, as they were hungry and nervous.
Dolly had to get them some food.
She slowly went over to a vendor, and she walked around the corner, almost ignoring Dylan as she did so.
Dylan slowly followed her.
The two went to a stand where a man with a hat was arranging meat on a two dalmatians paused, pondering their approach. Dylan slowly moved ahead and he gave the human a whine. Then he bowed his head a bit.
Dolly rolled her eyes.
"Huh? What now?" The human spoke as he turned to the dalmatians. Dylan slowly raised his head and he sniffed towards the meat he was cooking.
However, this angered the man, and he grabbed nearby thongs and he clicked the metal together at Dylan's nose.
"Ah! Back!" The man demanded in a tone.
Dylan stepped back slowly. He didn't want to ruin the date by angering the man further so he stood there, staring.
Dylan felt his heart thump hard with hurt. He didn't want it to end here with no food. Dylan stopped himself from taking a step back.
Dylan gulped and leaned down. He didn't want to, but he knew that the odds of them eating tonight would be much lower.
Wanting to look brave Infront of Dolly, and wanting to make this night a night to remember, he made up his mind…..
…. He was going to take it!
However suddenly, there was a rush right next to him, and Dolly went soaring.
She landed on her skateboard, and she grabbed the entire chain of sausage.
"YOINK!"
The man jumped as he turned, and then he had to spin around once more, to watch Dolly skate around him. She soared in such a way that landing this trick would nearly be impossible. After kicking off, she was in the air, heading towards Dylan.
Dylan finally took a step back, and almost missed his timing.
Dylan grunted as he jumped
Dylan grabbed Dolly's back, and he managed to land two of his paws in between Dolly's pits. The two felt the skateboard hit the asphalt hard.
The two almost lost their balance on the skateboard as the two wobbles back and forth, almost falling at every lean.
Luckily the skateboard finally found itself a bit of balance, and Dolly kicked her leg, gaining more speed.
Dylan and Dolly let out a laugh.
The man waved his tongs angrily.
"H-Hey! Thieves!" The man hollered. "Get back here!"
However, Dolly and Dylan were too fast. They were far from him already.
Dolly and Dylan were laughing away. They had scored a meal and were happy about their mischief.
Dylan was slowly laughing. However he leaned forward.
Dolly felt her laugh slow down. She felt Dylan hug her. She could feel him hug his chest around her back.
Dylan slowly leaned his head on her shoulder.
Dolly could see his content smile in the corner of her eye. She felt her heart race. He was hugging her so tightly, she almost forgot she was skateboarding.
She forgot to breathe. This feeling…
The way he held onto her….
Did Dylan always feel this strong?
Was he always this cool?
Her blush was alive and she smiled at him for a mere moment.
A mere mutual connection.
The two howled within each other's delight.
"Bow-WAKA-WOW!"
Darkness flushed the beautiful sky with many bright stars. People of the festival were all having their splendid commute together.
Like two good friends, who were obviously close, were giggling and laughing. Dylan and Dolly were bumping into each other, shoulder to shoulder, and even sometimes…. Hip to hip.
They were having a really good time. It was better than they could have expected.
Dylan was enjoying Dolly's company, and Dolly felt really safe around Dylan. Both of their hearts were warmer, braver, and the two wanted the same thing.
They were just too scared to admit it to each other.
They were running out of things to check out at this point in the night. They walked down the streets, backtracking through a lot of the many attractions.
Dylan and Dolly slowed down. The two gazed into each other's eyes without even thinking about it, which caused them to laugh a bit more.
Dylan smiled warmly, which caused Dolly to blush and look slightly away.
"So uh… Hehehe…." Dolly began through her laugh. She looked slightly around. "What should we do now?"
Dylan took a happy deep breath and he looked around. He looked around a bit as well.
The two continued to slowly walk down the path of lights.
"Hm…. I'm not sure!" Dylan admitted happily.
Not saying too much more, the two continued.
It took a few silent moments. However, she stopped before Dylan. She looked to her right and she saw something that lit up her eyes. Her blush started to flush and her ears tilted a bit as her eyes began to sparkle.
This was the perfect time….
Dylan didn't hear her presence behind him. He slowed to a stop. He looked for her in all directions before he turned around. He saw her staring to the right.
Dolly noticed Dylan was staring her way. She then let herself smile.
"Look!" Dolly gestured her head to the side of the road, to where there was a great big space. Dylan slowly walked by her, and he noticed what she was gazing upon. "... It's a ferris wheel!"
"Yeah….?" Dylan responded, not sounding so impressed. Dolly felt her head lower, still smiling. She shook her head in wonder.
"You know…. I don't think either of us have ever been on one….." Dolly remembered, sounding quite curious.
Dylan raised a brow. His expression showed that he wasn't sure what made Dolly so fascinated about this attraction.
"It's because… It wasn't made for dogs?" Dylan pointed out. However, before Dolly responded, Dylan's eyes widened when he saw Dolly moving quickly up a pair of metal stairs that lead the way to the ferris wheel.
"H-Hey! Hey-Hey! What are you doing!?" Dylan questioned as he rushed over and hopped on his hind legs and stood up on the stairs that Dolly was near.
Before Dolly spoke, she just turned her head to Dylan slowly, not fully turning around. That was when he saw Dolly's very cute expression. There was something about it that began to draw Dylan in.
She was blushing really hard, and Dylan saw it. Dolly was crouched into a sneaky position. She was so nervous and shy that she had her tail tucked between her legs.
She was smiling so shyly and nervously, that Dylan felt his heart begin to race.
Dolly nudged her head towards the ferris wheel.
"C'mon…. We can sneak on….." Dolly suggested. This made Dylan nervous. He felt the need to look around. He didn't see any humans around. He wondered where the ride conductor was.
However, he looked back towards Dolly. She looked like she was preparing to be disappointed, but she kept her smile hopeful. She crawled closer to Dylan.
She booped her nose to his..
"Please…..?" Dolly asked sweetly. Dylan felt his heart race again. She then put a paw to his heart. "We….. could…. Uh… Y-You know… like… ….. have that 'talk?' "
Dylan looked up at the ferris wheel for a moment. He did want to tell Dolly how he truly felt. He wasn't too crazy about high places or the strange rides made by humans….. but…..
It was a perfect spot to talk….
Dylan looked at Dolly for a moment. He then gave her a single firm nod.
"Okay….." Dylan said to her, finally giving in.
Dolly's smile seemed to become happier when Dylan climbed up to her. The two turned and they quickly snuck onto one of the many ferris wheel charts.
It didn't take too long for the conductor to come back from his break. Without checking the carts, the human lazily turned on the ferris wheel, to provide the attraction some personal advertising. The lights became bright on the machine.
The ferris wheel started to turn..
Dylan and Dolly slowly came out of hiding. Dylan felt his fears become apparent when he looked down with Dolly. Dolly on the other hand was all smiles.
Dolly looked up slowly with a grand smile.
"Oh man! This is so cool!" Dolly gasped in pure delight.
Dylan slowly leaned his back on his seat. He looked a bit nervous.
"Yeah… it's…. Cool?"
Soon, the ferris wheel brought them higher and higher. It was a huge ferris wheel that allowed anyone to peer out into the great view of London.
Dolly was the first to see the great lights of London. It didn't take long until Dylan couldn't help but to admire it as well.
Dolly's eyes widened. She absolutely loved the view. The two of them enjoyed the many bright lights that were scattered amongst the city, and it challenged the stars themselves. It was truly a sight to see.
It became quiet amongst the two of them.
However, there was a jolt and the ferris wheel made a crackling noise. It made Dylan's and Dolly's body hop involuntarily.
Dolly quickly got back in her seat next to Dylan.
"What the dog was that!?" Dylan barked in fright. Dolly smiled nervously.
"I'm sure…. It was nothing…." Dolly assured, not sounding so sure herself.
After a long moment of nothing else happening, Dylan and Dolly exchanged expressions. This helped them calm down. "It's probably just a very old machine….. It might jerk around a bit … but I'm sure that's it….."
Dylan sighed, however, it was followed by another jerk of the ferris wheel. They both jumped. Dylan looked up in anger.
"So it's gonna keep doing that the entire time….!?" Dylan asked in fearful frustration.
Dolly smiled slowly. She saw how tense Dylan was becoming. She slipped one of her paws to the side and she slowly held Dylan's.
"Hey….. Let's not focus on it…." Dolly suggested quietly and softly. Dylan turned to her to object.
"But-!"
However, Dylan felt his heart rattle when Dolly leaned closer. She was nearly nose to nose with him.
"Just focus on me….." Dolly whispered sweetly. This seemed to replace Dylan's fear with a different feeling altogether.
He felt that same odd, weird, crazy feeling that was haunting them both. The reason why they both wanted to talk. The same old feeling…..
The two stared at each other for a long moment. Their hearts were beating in a fast, steady pace.
The two felt the silence draw them into the moment.
The two knew it was their moment.
Dolly slowly removed her paw from his. She was too nervous to go first. She kept her eyes gazing towards the floor of the cart.
"S-... So…. You said…. That we needed…. to…. talk?" Dolly asked slowly with a nervous and shaky voice. This made Dylan stand up a bit straighter.
His heart was racing hard. He could barely think. The butterflies shuffled towards the bottom of his stomach and it felt bothersome.
Dylan was beginning to have second thoughts.
However, Dylan stared at Dolly in her eyes. He could see something within her expression. He couldn't tell what it was, but it made him feel suddenly…. More hopeful.
The two kept this silence for a moment. Dylan was trying to find his courage.
"Talk…. Right….. The talk…" Dylan began saying, but it almost sounded like he was talking mostly to himself. He looked back to Dolly slowly. "... D-Didn't you say that we needed to talk, as well?"
Dolly let out a soft giggle, before gesturing her paw.
"H-Heheh… Y-Yeah…. But….uh…. Y-You first!" Dolly insisted, too shy to even think about telling Dylan how she exactly felt. She was also very curious on what Dylan wanted to say.
….. She was also half hoping….. that they had a common motive for this perfect night.
Dylan began to run his arm nervously.
"O-Oh…. Y-Yeah, yeah…. Okay…." Dylan mumbled in response. The two felt their hearts quiver with nervousness and their stomachs sank with butterflies.
Dylan took a deep breath. He turned sharply. The two dalmatians sat sideways, facing each other.
"Okay….." Dylan managed to say without whispering. He told himself, it was now or never.
"... Well, it's….. I… it's just that…" Dylan started to stutter with a very nervous sounding voice. Dolly was, however, being very patient. "... it's just that… that You….. and ….. well… I…"
Dylan was taking a moment to gather his words. Dolly blushed, her smile was fading.
Was Dylan going to…?
Was he about to…?
"Yes…..?" Dolly asked, with her heart being very, very, hopeful. Dylan sighed harder.
He then scooted uncomfortably closer to her with his head down. Once he was scooted, he then looked towards her, trying to find confidence.
"I've….. been….. in an odd place….. and-and-... I ….. and the way I've been… feeling so…." Dylan managed to say. Dolly was listening intently. "And…. I….. I'm really afraid if I like uh…. told you… I'm afraid…. you would …"
Dylan felt himself freeze up with fear. He clenched his paws, trying to fight his fears. Dolly saw this. Her heart was racing. She felt like she knew where this was going, but….. she still didn't believe it yet.
"I would….. what?" Dolly asked, nervously. She scooted up a bit closer.
Dylan let his paw back down as he looked down, feeling scared, and very nervous.
" …. You would …. probably think I'm a freak….. o-or this weirdo! ….. or-or some sort of….. monster….." Dylan began to warn, getting almost frustrated at himself. He started to feel the lingering guilt. He started feel silly, and stupid.
….. He began to wonder if this was a bad idea.
However, to Dolly….
Dylan was telling Dolly all the things that she had been feeling ever since she got rejected. She now knew what Dylan was fearing.
The two feared the same thing….
….. and she knew that they wanted the same thing.
She gripped his paw slowly in which followed a small silence. Dylan stared at her paw for that long quiet moment.
Eventually, Dolly leaned closer.
"You can tell me…." Dolly assured him. She gave him a smile. Dylan didn't notice it. "And who knows….. maybe…. It isn't so bad…."
Dylan felt his nerves tingle quite a bit.
He knew he had to tell her now.
….. It's probably for the best. He was just going to be honest with her.
It was for the best.
Maybe she wouldn't hate him….. that much…..
"It's just that….. ever…. since…. I was uh….. rejected…" Dylan began to say nervously, but much more clearly. "... I… I've been feeling different….. and…. I… couldn't help…. But to….. ….."
There was a strong silence that followed.
"But to….?" Dolly couldn't help but to push Dylan to continue.
Dylan took a long shaky sigh. He almost looked away, but he just let his gaze fall to the floor of the cart.
"I couldn't help but to…"
Dylan looked out into the beautiful view ahead of them.
"... Fall in love."
Dolly's eyes widened. Her eyes sparkled and her blush grew. She felt a bit dizzy.
However, there was still fear.
"W-With….. who?
Dylan felt a very painful fear bother his heart when she asked. Dylan knew he couldn't lie to her, but how was he supposed to tell her!?
He took a small nervous breath. Dolly could hear how shaky it was. Dylan slowly looked towards her, but his head remained low. His eyes tried to look at her softly.
"... Dolly ….. I….. fell in love with…"
He looked at her with all the bravery he had left.
"... You….."
Dolly's heart felt all the fear, and a large amount of guilt leave her body. She felt light as she felt a rush of relief and disbelief.
Dolly's mouth gaped open into a great smile. She felt an even greater need to scoot over.
Not wanting to seem too eager or excited, she scooted a bit, but she felt herself scoot back as well.
"W-Wait-Wait….Wait…. " Dolly began, in an overexcited, shaky voice. She seemed to be filled with many mixed feelings.
"Y-Y-You do…. I mean-mean…. You are…?" Dolly questioned again, wanting to be sure. Dylan felt the need to turn away. Dylan was beginning to feel low. He didn't even notice Dolly was becoming excited.
"Y-Yeah…. Y-You….. probably think…. I'm a freak…" Dylan stated in a sad, depressed way. Dolly saw how sad he was becoming, so she leaned on close and she touched his arm with her paw.
"... N-No…. I don't think you're a freak….. or weird….. or a monster…" Dolly assured him in comfort. Dylan still didn't look at her. He was not at all convinced. Dolly slowly let her paw down.
"... Well….. In….. In fact…. I …" Dolly started to say, as she started to feel shy again. She did feel stronger, knowing Dylan felt the same way, but it was still quite nerve racking. "... I wanted to….. talk to you tonight too…. Ya know…."
Dylan's eyes widened upon hearing this. He turned to her slowly.
"T-Thats right….. um…." Dylan sat up straighter. He turned to her, giving her his attention. "What did…. you…. want to talk about?"
Dolly seemed to laugh quietly. She shook her head at her hero. She smiled as she slowly lifted her head, in a slight, attractive way.
"Do….. you…. really… feel that way about me?" Dolly asked slowly, looking for confirmation. Dylan stared at her. He felt his guilt and his nerves quickly return, not that it really left.
"... I …. Uh….. " Dylan looked away, but only slightly. "... Y-Yeah….. I do…"
Dylan looked down.
"Yeah, I know….. Sorry…." Dylan began to apologize. "… Stupid right? I don't know what's wrong with me… I guess….. well…. I shouldn't have-"
"I feel the same way too…. About you…."
Dylan's mouth closed. His eyes widened. Did he hear that right?
"What….?" He asked, caught off guard.
Dolly sighed softly and gave him a very warm smile.
"... I….. I…." Dolly started to blush, as she was beginning to become more and more nervous. "... I….. feel the…. same…."
Dylan and Dolly both sat up near each other. They stared at each other, letting their hearts beat to their own feelings.
"You…. do?"
Dolly felt shy, but she let herself lean in closer.
"Yeah…."
Dylan felt his smile grow.
"Yeah….?"
Dolly giggled.
"... Yeah…."
They were near the top again. They hadn't even realized that the ferris wheel had already run full circle during their conversation.
Dylan and Dolly felt their moment appear. The two had confessed. The two knew that they both felt the same way now.
They had a new feeling appear. It was of both love and wonder.
The two both wanted each other at this moment. The two slowly leaned in closer.
Their body's were moving on their own. They knew that this was what they wanted.
They both were shy, and nervous. Neither one of them had ever truly kissed anyone before.
Their nuzzles got close to one another. They were close to kissing. They felt hesitant but they wanted it badly.
The two felt their nerves surface. They wanted it so badly. The two stopped near each other.
The two slowly held onto each other's arms slowly. Both Dylan and Dolly froze. Their lips were close to meeting. They could feel each other's breaths.
They had so many things holding them back.
KRANNNK!
The ferris wheel jerked horribly and the two Dalmatians felt their bodies jolt upwards.
"WOAH!" The two yelped as Dolly felt her body jerk upwards. Dylan felt himself fall backwards. "OOF!'
Dolly had landed on Dylan. The two were breathing heavily from the sudden rush of fear and their previous rush of emotions.
The two laid there, breathing and panting.
Dylan felt his heart beat once again. He saw that Dolly was on top of him.
Dolly was staring at him with wide eyes. They weren't expecting this to happen.
After a moment, Dylan managed to let out a small chuckle. Dolly slowly smiled at this. She was slowly becoming more and more relieved.
After their short laugh, Dylan and Dolly fell into another silence. The two stared at each other for a moment. Dolly then soon felt her emotions surface once again.
Dolly felt herself blush slowly. She slowly gripped his chest tighter with her paw. She slowly found comfort in his arms, as she slowly laid her head slowly down. She laid it comfortably onto Dylan's chest.
Dylan blushed as Dolly slowly began to snuggle into Dylan's chest. She loved how strong Dylan was becoming. She knew she didn't want to leave his arms.
Dylan wasn't too sure how to respond, but he definitely didn't mind.
Dylan hugged Dolly's body a bit tighter with his arms.
The two found themselves lost in each other's comfort, as the two rode the ferris wheel together. The two stayed that way for a good while….
… As the stars and moon bathed their light upon them.
In the dark shadows of the alley near the festival.
Domino, the dalmatian with the red sweater, was leaning on the brick wall of the building with his gang.
Domino and his gang had heard of the festival a few days before.
Domino was still mad at his gang members for the lack of food they had brought them the day before.
He was sick of living the hand out kind of life.
He was sick of having to fight for food, fight for shelter, and fight just to live.
He was tired of the wild dog life...
"Hehehe…. Look at that one…." Celeb suddenly blurted out. Domino turned his head in a slight jump, and he saw his gang all staring out towards the main square that was near the game tents of the amusement park.
Domino couldn't help but to roll his eyes to what they were staring at, including Swindle.
In the far distance, by the resting benches, were two pretty female golden retrievers.
"I don't know…. They look a bit stuck up, and too clean." Swindle added her opinion in. Swindle, even though she was dirty, she was almost prettier then the retrievers. "...I bet they never slept on the floor in their lives…"
Bones rolled his shoulder with a laugh.
"Ah! But isn't it better if you get to break them in?!" This caused Celeb to join in Bone's laughter. "Ahahah! Am I right?!"
Swindle rolled her eyes and turned away, heading towards Domino. Domino knew she came closer, but he was still annoyed by his gang.
"...I think Domino wants you to focus on your food skills, then your…..lady skills."
Domino couldn't help but smirk.
"You would be right…." Domino turned to his gang, and saw each one of them was focused on him. Domino turned to them. "I want to stock up…. I'm really tired of….."
…..Being alone…. Being hungry…. Unloved….
So many things he could of said to them…..
…..But he never finished.
For in the far distance, even farther than the park…..
…..Was Dolly and Dylan. They were walking down the street, staying away from the fair almost. Domino had to blink a few times to see if he wasn't seeing things. He stood and looked closer.
"...Is…IS that her!?" Domino asked in an intense tone. This caused all three of the ragtag group to raise their heads, and turn to look as well.
Bones even stood when he saw her, and wagged his small tail.
"Well, bloody hell! It is her!" Bones barked happily. Swindle rubbed her arm.
"Is it me or is she prettier tonight…" Swindle mumbled her own awed opinion.
Domino slowly walked past his own group.
"So that is Dolly….." Domino pointed at Dylan. "...And the other one is her brother …..Diggs right?!"
"Dylan….. sir..…" Celeb corrected in a kind manner. Domino frowned at his own error and shook his head.
"Dylan….. The one that impressed Bones….." Domino mumbled with a smile of awe, it was also a cunning one. Bones smirked too as he remembered how Dylan stood up to him.
"...Yeah, but next time…. His tail will be bitten off…." Bones warned. Domino sat and straightened up. He turned in a cool, and fast manner.
"Oh…. Do time my good Bones. But if you want to get back at someone…you do it right the first time…" Domino slowly stood and started walking. This made his gang become taken back by his actions.
"Uh…" Celeb stepped up confused. "...Boss?"
"...All of you stay there until I tell you to move…." Domino warned.
...
Dolly and Dylan were smiling and giggling. They had just found this very path that allowed them to be a little closer, and not in a cart. It seemed to be private enough where they weren't in no crowd, and no dogs seemed to be around.
Dolly looked down, as her heart was swimming in her raw emotion that was still lingering around them. She rubbed her ear, as they slowed down, not wanting to take the next corner, which would most likely end their very night.
"...So…. um…." Dolly mumbled in her own blush. Dolly slowly peered into Dylan's eyes. Dylan looked so different to her right now.
Her hero stood there with a soft smile, and she could even see his own blush now. She knew he felt this odd feeling that she did. Dylan…..really thought she was cool.
"What….are we going to do now….." Dolly asked slowly, feeling her voice be so very soft. "...now that we…talked….. and we both…."
Dylan smiled.
"...Like one another…..?" Dylan finished for her. Dolly nodded with her heart thumping. She could barely keep her paws on the ground as she felt a little dizzy and nervous. Dylan felt his heart pounding out of his chest.
"...Y-Yeah…." Dylan grabbed his ear. "...We need…..to….think about how we would go….about it…."
Dylan stood, but Dolly felt her heart jump.
"W-What do you mean?!" Dolly asked, almost too desperate. Dylan and Dolly slowly started back on their way. Dylan stretched his ear hard as he was getting frustrated by his own emotions.
There was a small silence. Dylan slowly turned back to her.
"Look… I'm just saying-"
Suddenly a random dog smacked right into Dylan.
Dolly jumped as she saw Dylan smack his head against the head of another dalmatian. At first she thought it was one of her and Dylan's siblings but she blinked twice, and saw it was a newcomer she never met before.
She saw he was a rough looking dog, as if he was a stray. He wore a red sweater.
"Owww man! Dude are you okay?!" The dalmatian asked as he moaned in pain, rubbing the top of his forehead.
Dylan opened his eyes after he rubbed his own burning forehead, and he bared his eyes to the newcomer as well. He saw it was a cooler looking dalmatian and he felt bad instantly.
"Hey, man, I'm sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going and-"
However, the dalmatian never lost his own smile as he brought up his paw in a soothing manner.
"Hey dude, it's cool. I turned the corner fast as well…." The dalmatian tried to soothe, and he brought his paws back down.
For a moment, Dylan and Dolly just eyed the dalmatian, trying to get their bearings back, and figure out what to make of this new dalmatian. Fortunately, the dalmatian seemed to take control of the conversation. He brought up one of his paws.
"The name is Domino." Domino finally introduced himself. Dylan smiled and took the paw, which finally seemed to ease Dolly's emotion.
Sort of. She felt a twitch in her heart…..
…..Like a bad feeling. Quite different from her old guilt she had for liking Dylan.
"My name is Dylan, and this is Dolly." Dylan introduced for the both of them. Domino let go.
Domino paused, and he felt his hate appear.
Dolly looked so clean….. So loved. She probably never had pain in her life so far.
Domino was left…. Abandon….. Dirty…. Unloved.
Why her?... Why him…?
Domino shook his head hard. He had to focus. He had to find a way to weigh his odds to his own favor. Fighting these two wouldn't do justice like Bones had tried.
"I-Is something wrong…?" Dolly asked, when she saw Domino shake his head.
Domino paused. He needed a quick excuse. Something they wouldn't question, but also lead them away from his true intentions…..
An idea popped into his head and he took the first idea he had. He smiled with a sheepish smile.
Domino could tell from just how close these two were. Something felt a bit off about these two. They seem close...
Too close….
Domino tried to hide his cunning smile.
"O-Oh nothing! Just you both just look like a cute couple!" Domino suddenly complimented in a nervous manner. This way, they wouldn't know Domino actually knew all about them.
Dylan and Dolly felt their hearts turn shallow, and their heart beats slow down. They turned and exchanged glances, as they both blushed.
Dolly opened her mouth and closed it.
Could they really be open about their feelings this soon….?
However, with her doubts still lingering, she watched Dylan shrug. Dolly started to shake when Dylan turned to Domino.
Dylan paused, but only for a brief moment.
"T-Thanks." Dylan mumbled in a shaken voice. Dylan gave Domino a huge smile. "...We just started dating."
These words had an instant effect on Domino. Dylan and Dolly both lost their smiles as they saw this.
Domino lost his own cunning smile, as his eyes widened, and his jaw slightly dropped.
Did Dylan just say he just started dating his own sister. This statement was so unexpected, it made Domino smile again.
Soon, Dolly and Dylan exchanged glances again, but right when they eyed one another, Domino started to laugh.
It was slow at first, but soon, his laughing got louder and louder, until he was in a fit of laughter.
"HAHAHAHAHAH!" Domino laughed as he looked up. Dolly felt her heart drop. Had he somehow caught on? Domino wiped his eye. "Oh man….this is too good…."
Domino slowly walked in between them, as Dylan felt his mind race in a panic. Slight anger and annoyance found Dylan's heart as Dolly and Dylan turned towards Domino.
"What's too good!?" Dylan questioned almost too hard. Domino laughed without turning.
"Ooooh….. How you two are dating…." Domino turned with his true expression.
No more will he hide his true self from them.
"...and THAT YOU TWO….. are siblings…?"
Their hearts dropped. Dolly grew more angry, but felt a bit shocked.
"What are you on about?!" Dolly yelped.
Domino turned. He felt in control. If his theory was right, these two would rue the day they ever met him. He put his arms behind his back
"I know who you two are. Dolly and Dylan, son and daughter to Diliah and Doug…."
Domino soon gave Dolly his true feelings within his glare. Dolly stepped back, as she, herself saw hate and anger in his stare.
"...Why…. Why are you staring at me?!" Dolly snapped. Domino never flinched.
"Because I don't like you…"
Soon an eerie silence fell into the air, as the wind blew in their private corner in the amusement park.
Dolly felt tears tickle her eyes.
Dylan stepped up, now steamed.
"Alright, wise guy! It's time for you to leave!" Dylan demanded in anger.
Domino raised one paw, as if pondering the matter. He pouted and smiled.
"Fine…..Now I do get why you have a backbone….. You freak…" Domino mocked.
Dylan felt his heart get stabbed by guilt. Loving his own sister…..
Domino walked right by him as Dylan felt his heart tear.
Domino turned to Dolly, who stared at him with anger, but her expression was shattering easily.
"... Just to let you know…. Your mommy and daddy wouldn't want incest puppies, you sickos…." Domino mocked as harshly as he could.
…. And he easily walked away,
Dylan still felt his torn heart as he bit his lip, letting Domino walk away. He couldn't fight twice in a row, without a real cause. Mockery isn't violence….but…
It hurt….
Dylan looked at Dolly, and his heart sunk.
Dolly was in tears. He could see that Domino's words were very effective on her.
Dylan could see tears streaming down her cheeks.
"D-Dolly…!" Dylan reached out.
…. But Dolly slapped his arm away.
"... Hold on….. We have to…." Dolly whimpered. She looked down as tears dripped from her chin.
It began to rain.
"We have to think about this….." Dolly mumbled in her shock. They stared for a solid moment.
Both of their feelings were in total meltdown. They went too far high up, and came crashing down in an instant.
Dylan looked down and cursed under his breath about Domino. Dylan could only feel hate towards Domino. He already knew who they were, but he still pulled a fast one on them somehow, and learned their true feelings!
Dolly closed her eyes and turned away suddenly, making Dylan jump in great fear. He hadn't realized her face was already ridden with tears, and her deep deep sorrow.
"D-Dolly! WAIT-!" It was too late. Dolly had turned fully, and ran the other direction away from him. Dylan saw her tears fall through the rain, and Dylan began to feel tears of his own.
Dylan blinked his tears out and tried to be quick to follow.
"Dolly-" Dylan called as he ran, but he soon felt the pain in his shoulder, and he tried to ignore it.
He seemed to ignore it a bit, but he was already slower than Dolly.
It didn't matter though. Dolly saw her objective two feet away, and she jumped right on to her skateboard.
She took off fast right as they entered the forest trail. Dylan felt his heart sink lower yet, as he saw the one that made his heart race, riding off into the darkness ahead.
Dylan felt a tear drop as he needed to pant, as he was extremely stressed.
He stopped to try to catch his breath. He panted hard. He felt his tears flowing within his eyes. He shook his head.
He looked ahead, as the rain and darkness was becoming overwhelming.
He was worried for Dolly and he was beginning to feel very, very depressed and ashamed.
He had lost his chance….
Dolly had run away from him.
He failed…..
Was it really over between them….?
He was about to turn around and accept defeat…..
….. If he didn't hear the sound of running right next to him, in a split second.
"WHERE YOU GOING BUDDY?!" Dylan turned fast, but all he saw was stars in a mere moment as he felt a furry arm smack in against his forehead.. Dylan felt his neck get bent back, as he felt his back lift into thin air.
Dylan soon fell on to his back, but this was a grave mistake.
Dylan slowly tumbled uncontrollable down a nearby ditch. Dylan rolled three times, hitting rock, sticks, and a small pile of leaves at the bottom.
Dylan felt stunned, but his emotions kept him from being able to feel pain.
When he looked up, he felt his fear heighten.
Above him, above the ditch, was Domino, but what scared him the most….
…..Was Bones, and his ragtag crew, were right next him. Dylan blinked three times, not believing it. He hated it.
….Now he feared it too….
"...Well, well….." Domino began to brag. He smirked. "I was….going to let you out of this ditch if you began to cry but…."
Domino pointed at Dylan. Dylan was already in tears.
"That got spoiled,... didn't it…."
Dylan felt his cheek, but in a burst, they all started to laugh at him.
"HAHA! You got that right!" Bones agreed in a gloat.
"Hehe! What a freak he is!" Caleb mocked.
"...Honestly, why does Dolly even think you're cute…. You're a freaky nerd!" Swindle mocked further.
Dylan tried his best to ignore them….but what he couldn't ignore…..
….Was Domino's smile. It was the thing that was itching into his brain.
Dylan frowned hard at Domino.
Domino only smiled more.
"...I'll tell you what…." Domino suddenly proposed. Dylan didn't want to reply, but he had no choice. Four against one is not good odds.
"...What…?" Dylan asked in a stern tone. Domino sat and grabbed his chin.
"...I'll let you go…if….." Domino tilted his head and closed his eyes with evil glee. "...You call yourself a freak, and admit you love your sister!"
"OOOOOoooo!" The gang all chimed in. Dylan blinked, and his frown shattered to fright.
"...But…" Dylan mumbled, but Domino smiled with his evil frown.
"...You can stay down there all night if you like…." Domino mocked, and the gang all quieted down.
Dylan looked down, feeling shame being poured on to his fears. Dylan couldn't believe the mess he was in.
Who the hell is Domino?!
Dylan sat down. Domino smirked a little when he saw Dylan looked really mad now as he was staring hard at the ground.
"...I'm a freak." Dylan quietly whispered. Domino wasn't having that. He held his paw to his ear.
"I'm sorry?! What was that?" Domino mocked as his crew snickered.
Dylan snapped his glare towards him.
"I'm a freak!" Dylan soon tried to jab the air in his panic. "A-And….I-I-I-I…..I love…."
Dylan began to breath heavily. Bones puffed his chest out in excitement when Dylan had to pause. Domino smiled even more.
Dylan laid his paw down in defeat in a heavy exhale.
"...And….I love Dolly…." Dylan finally admitted as he slowly opened his eyes as fresh tears formed.
The gang exploded into cheers.
"WOOO! Way to stick to your FREAK!" Bones cried out.
Caleb soon walked by Bones.
"And for your REWARD!" Caleb shouted.
Dylan looked up confused, and worried too.
"R-Reward?!" Dylan panicked.
Domino was the first to bring up his paw.
It was a mudball.
SPLAT! Domino snapped his arm hard, and Dylan was smacked hard in the face with this mudball.
Dylan fell backwards into the leaves, feeling his face be on fire from the splatter. His face was now covered.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!" They laughed and mocked Dylan as he held his stinging eyes, as mud had got into them.
"Now that's what I call an improvement." Swindle called.
Domino finally turned from the defeated Dylan.
"...Come, let's get back to what we were doing in the first place….. We still have things to do…." Domino mumbled as he wanted to live in this feeling all day long.
Revenge was sweet.
"Okay boss." Bones agreed as the three followed Domino.
Dylan eventually heard them walk away, but Dylan didn't care. He didn't feel like running away anymore.
He was in everlasting tears, as his body began to fit in sorrow. He grabbed his arm and wiped his face, so there was a little less mud.
He curled up. He felt his depression win over his emotions.
Besides, ….what was the point? He lost Dolly. He lost his pride. Covered in mud, in a ditch, feeling guilty, stupid…..
….And most of all…..
… Unloved by his Internal Emotions.
