Henrietta sighed, turning away from the mirror. She was not enjoying herself at all. Henrietta turned toward Michael, who was still admiring her.
"Why did you do this to me?" she asked him. Michael continued staring at her.
"As I said before, I have to let everybody know that you are mine and mine only," he replied. Henrietta began to whimper a little bit again.
"But what about my family? What if they don't like this?" she asked, worried.
"Then don't go to them. You can stay with me," Michael instantly responded. Henrietta jolted up, looking Michael dead in the eyes.
"You said I could still stay with them, though!" she screamed at him. Michael looked away from her, annoyed.
"I changed my mind at the last minute. From now on, you're staying with me," he responded.
Henrietta continued to look at him, holding back her tears. She finally looked away from him, looking back at the mirror.
"Why did I agree to this?" Henrietta thought to herself, trying her best not to cry. She didn't want to show her fear in front of the one she loved most.
Henrietta sighed and looked away for the final time. She looked over at her old dress on Michael's bed. She attempted to grab it, making Michael unhappy. He grabbed her arm & smacked her away from his bed, growling.
"No! Bad Henrietta!" he screamed at her, scaring her. At that very moment, his eyes turned gray & the surrounding white area turned black as night. Henrietta gasped, startled by the sudden change in him.
"Michael did your eyes just…," she began before Michael interrupted her.
"Don't even think of asking about my eyes. It's Eric's fault," he said rudely. Henrietta remembered that name & started to cry in Michael's arms.
"I-is it from the s-scar?" she asked, stuttering from her fear. Michael nodded.
"Eric is just a bitch who will suffer the same fate that I did," he responded angrily. She took his response as saying he did not like to reflect on what happened around Henrietta.
Terrified, Henrietta placed her hand on Michael's cheek, touching the scar on his right eye. Michael purred at Henrietta's touch & his eyes returned to normal. Her touch was calming him down. He grabbed her free hand & kissed it.
"You have no idea how soft your touch is, my sweetheart," he said to her, calming her down. He pulled Henrietta's hand off his cheek and placed it on his shoulder. Henrietta let a faint smile show on her face.
"Michael, I know how bad it hurts to have that mark. It's all going to be okay," she said to him. Michael looked at her, confused, but shrugged it off.
"You can tell me about it later. I have something that I want to give you first," he said to her. Henrietta sighed, not having a good feeling about it.
"What is it?" she asked him, slightly worried. Michael grabbed his jewelry box and looked through it. He finally stopped & picked up a fake diamond ring from the jewelry box.
"I want you to keep this as a promise to always stay with me, no matter what happens," he said to her.
Henrietta gasped, unsure how to respond. Michael smiled at her and grabbed her hand, placing the ring on her finger.
"I-it's beautiful, Michael," she finally replied, looking at the ring. Michael smiled, pleased with her response.
"I knew you would love it," he said to her. Michael brushed out Henrietta's hair one final time before putting the brush back in the basket. He looked at her, admiring her new look.
"I think you look perfect in the new outfit, but I feel like something is missing," he said happily.
"And what would that be?" Henrietta responded. Michael smirked and walked back to the closet. Henrietta sighed, having a bad feeling about where Michael was going with this.
"You're not going to make me wear something else, are you?" she asked, worried.
Michael just smirked and looked away, walking towards his closet. Henrietta whimpered, worried about what he was going to do to her now. She was already unhappy with her new outfit and didn't want anything else done to her. Michael began flipping through different outfits.
"Damnit, I know it's in here somewhere," he said to himself while looking around. Henrietta sighed, still sitting in the chair. Suddenly, Michael gasped and came to a stop.
"I found it!" he screamed, grabbing a black laced corset from his closet. He turned to Henrietta, smirking.
"Now, let's make you even more beautiful with this," he said in his sly voice. Henrietta shook her head no.
"I don't want to wear that," she said to him. She stood up and walked towards the door. However, Michael blocked it before she could get to it.
"Not so fast, my gothic princess," he said to her with a smirk. Henrietta whimpered and ran towards Michael's bed, hiding under the blanket again. Michael sighed, sitting down on the floor next to her.
"I thought you said you didn't want to make me sad, love. You're making me sad by not wearing this," he said to her. Henrietta kept the blanket pulled over her.
"Michael, I don't want to change my beauty. I love myself for who I am. I'm not a goth doll," she responded, still under her blanket. Michael sighed and snatched his blanket off of her.
"Please?" he asked, looking at her with puppy eyes. Henrietta sighed, knowing she would not be able to convince him otherwise.
"Okay, fine," she eventually responded. Michael smiled and gave the corset to her.
"You can put it on. I'll tie the bow on it when you're done," he said to her. Henrietta sighed and walked towards the bathroom.
Henrietta pulled the dress off of her and put the corset on. After she was sure it was on, she walked back into Michael's room. Michael smiled and tied the bow on it, smiling. He then attached a long, black skirt to her to cover up her legs.
"There you go, my beautiful girl. All finished," he said to her happily. Henrietta sighed, refusing to look back into the mirror.
"Michael, this is very uncomfortable," she said to him. Michael ignored her remark and picked her up, embracing her in a cuddle.
"You'll always be my lovely princess," he said to her happily. Henrietta sighed, unimpressed.
"Tomorrow, I'll take you with me to the mall. There, we can buy more stuff to give you new meaning in your life," he said to her, rubbing her arm.
Henrietta smiled a little bit at his idea. She loved the mall. Even though the places in the mall she would go with Michael would not be as pleasant, she was relieved that she would be in a familiar area.
"Okay, I'll go with you," she said to him with a small smile.
That was enough to please Michael. He gently placed her back on the ground. It happened at perfect timing too. Michael looked back at his clock and gasped.
"Fuck, I'm supposed to be asleep by now," he whispered to himself.
He quickly put his pajamas on and looked over at Henrietta. He grabbed a wipe and signaled Henrietta to walk over to him. Henrietta listened and walked over to him. Michael cleaned the makeup off of her face.
"You can sleep with me, love," he said to her. Henrietta smiled, even though she was upset she wouldn't be at home. She took her pajamas out of her bag and quickly got changed into them. After that, she hid her new outfit in her bag and climbed up into Michael's bed.
"Goodnight, my love," Michael said to her as he kissed her forehead. Henrietta smiled and began to fall asleep, knowing that tomorrow would hopefully be a better day.
