After visiting with Robbie with many powerful weapons and armor in tow, Zelda and her knight decided to head southwest to visit the Spring of Power. Link was excited about seeing another dragon and was hoping for another hidden shrine. Zelda watched him with a slight ache in her heart as he approached the Goddess statue. It's so strange how it's Link approaching the statue while I keep watch, instead of the other way around.

"Bad news, Ari! We need Dinraal's scale for the Spring of Power, but the Goddess says the dragon is found in the Eldin region. Do we want to see what's on that raised island with a land bridge we saw the other day instead?"

"Sure, Link. I'll go wherever you want to take me," Zelda replied with a grin, and she kissed him.

They teleported to the Dah Hesho shrine and saw the long land bridge across from the edge of the cliff they were standing on. Using the paraglider, they were able to reach the circular landform. It was grassy and full of large cliffs and boulders protruding from the ground.

"Welcome to Tarrey Town!" a voice shouted from behind them after they landed. "It's not much of a town yet, but that's why I'm here!"

"Hudson! I wondered where Tarrey Town was. We've been around a good portion of the Akkala region, so we were wondering where you were!"

The man chuckled kindly. "I'm actually really glad to see you. I have a favor to ask."

"Sure, Hudson, what do you need?"

"I need ten bundles of wood so I can get started on my new houses here."

Link saw that there were plenty of trees around that he could cut down. "Yes, sir! That should be easy. I already have half of what you need, and there are plenty of trees here. Let's go, Ari!" He cut down five of the trees while Zelda placed the bundles of wood in the slate, and they approached Hudson again.

"Here's that wood for you!"

"That was fast! Thank you. There is another thing…these boulders are driving me nuts. I want to move them out of the way so we can develop the land underneath. It'd really help me out if you could find someone with enough brute physical strength to bust them apart. A Goron might be my first choice. There is one wrinkle. According to the official Bolson Construction Policy, anyone who works for us has to have a name ending in "-son."

"Link, we're heading to Goron City soon, since that's the next closest Divine Beast. Hudson, if we find a Goron with the right name, we'll send him your way as soon as we reach Goron City."

"Thank you very much, miss. I sure appreciate your help!"

"Should we go there now, Link? I don't know of anything else to do in the Akkala region since there aren't any Divine Beasts here."

He agreed, and they teleported to Akkala Tower. Their plan was to follow the main path heading southwest and then north again, straight to the last stable before climbing the path up Death Mountain. Their goal was Foothill Stable, where they had fast traveled their horses seemingly so long ago. After fighting off several enemies together along the way and several hours of walking, they finally reached the Mo'a Keet Shrine near Foothill Stable. Link emerged successfully with another Spirit Orb and a new Knight's Broadsword.

Zelda's stomach was growling. "I'm getting pretty hungry. Do you think we could take a break for dinner?"

"Yes, we will eat soon, but I have a slightly different plan for tonight." He gave her a wide grin. "I want to show you something."

They walked together to the inside counter of the stable, and they paid for a soft bed for the night. They spent some time greeting Luna and Toffa, who were more than happy to see them again. They eventually returned to the main area of the stable.

"Give me a few minutes, Ari. I need to change clothes."

She waited for Link to emerge from the dressing room of the stable, and much to her delight, he was wearing his Stealth armor again. He gave her a smirk when he saw her blush. He couldn't keep his next words from tumbling out of his mouth. "Remember, Ari! Eyes up here!" He grinned at her as she blushed even more, and she playfully smacked him on the arm, like Impa so often used to do to her, and still did.

Link led Zelda by the hand as they set out together into a somewhat nearby forest.

"Where are we going, Link?"

"Well, I wanted to catch a deer for you, for our dinner."

"You don't have to go to all that trouble!"

"Yes, but I wanted to. I wanted to make you something special for dinner, because I…really care about you." He sheepishly looked away as his thoughts raced. I love you, Ari…but my fear of telling you is greater than my fear of a thousand Lynels.

Zelda's heart swelled. "I really care about you, too, Link! You're so thoughtful!" She kissed him deeply like she used to kiss him in the castle tunnels, running her hands across his muscular chest.

"You keep that up, we'll never eat," Link said in a sultry whisper, pushing her up against a close tree. She moaned suddenly, her mind instantly back to a particular archery lesson where he pushed her against a tree, the same lesson when she asked to court him.

"Y-you like this, Ari?" Link asked breathlessly.

"I do, Link…I think I might like it too much."

"Do you want me to stop?" He started to back away.

"No." She pulled him closer in a desperate motion, pressing his mouth forcefully into hers as she leaned back against the tree again. They were alone in the forest, and all she wanted was to be closer to him, like she had been on Mt. Lanayru a century ago. He could sense her desperation, and he let out a growly moan just before he pressed his thinly-clothed body into hers. She could feel every part of him in his thin, velvety Stealth armor for the first time in a hundred years. He began licking her neck and trailing his tongue up to her ear.

"Liiink…please…"

"Please what, my lady?"

"Please…" She wanted to say "take me right here in this forest," but she decided against it.

"Link, please…will you…" She desperately wanted him, but she knew she needed to control herself.

"Will I what?" He was smirking at her, anticipating the rest of her question.

She turned his head gently to speak softly into his ear, and in the most seductive voice she could manage, she whispered, "Will you…catch me that deer? I'm starving."

His eyes grew like saucers while she grinned at him.

"Ari! You're such a tease! You got me all…" He suddenly stopped talking.

"Got you all what?" Her eyes drifted downward. "Ah. I see. Worked up?"

"Maybe a little."

She whispered in his ear in her sultry voice again.

"Doesn't look like a little, Sir Link. Don't worry. The feeling is mutual."

She grinned as he blushed at her words.

Link suddenly turned his head as a dark shadow out of the corner of his eye caught his attention.

"Well, Ari, if you're still hungry, it's your lucky day. That's our target!" A deer, a fourteen-point buck, was slowly walking away from them in the forest ahead.

As soon as he spotted the buck he took aim with his bow and arrow. Not only did he want to cook a fancy meal for Zelda, he was trying to show off his mastered archery skills to her.

"Watch this. Nice and slow," he whispered quietly to her. He suddenly put his bow and arrow away without a sound. Zelda looked questioningly at him.

"Actually, I changed my mind. I'm going to tame myself a deer so I can ride it," he whispered, keeping his voice down.

"Uh…Link…that's a far cry from killing, cooking, and eating one. Good luck with that," she whispered back, grinning. Despite her hunger, she was amused. This ought to be good.

Link crouched down in the grass, and he followed the exact same process Zelda taught him when he was trying to catch Luna. He slowly inched forward, creeping along closer and closer to the oblivious wild animal. Link was silently closing in on it by the second, and Zelda couldn't believe what she was seeing. Suddenly the buck ran off a little closer to her, and she could barely see Link slumping his shoulders and hanging his head in disappointment. Zelda quietly crouched down in the grass so the deer wouldn't see her. Link began making slower and more careful movements, and soon she spotted him directly behind the unsuspecting buck.

Zelda's eyes widened and she grinned. He's such a show-off! Is he actually going to do this?

Suddenly, Link sprang up from behind and grabbed onto the fourteen-point buck, which was, well, bucking wildly. He managed to hold on long enough to calm it down. Zelda was in shock with a hand over her mouth when he trotted up to her, proudly riding on its back. The wild animal was still jumping violently every so often, which was only soothed by Link rubbing its neck and patting it. Link approached her with a huge smile on his face.

"Thanks for the good luck, Ari. It really helped! I think I'll call him Kingston. He seems very regal."

"You're even naming it? You know you can't register those at stables, right?" She was trying not to giggle, in disbelief and amusement.

"WHAT?" His outburst startled the buck, which again tried to throw him off. Link managed to soothe it once again, and it snorted at him.

"I'm sorry, Link, but it's true. They only take horses."

"No way! Let's go back to Foothill Stable. If I tamed it, I should be able to register it. The stable isn't too far from here. Please?"

Zelda sighed. "Okay, Link. But I promise you, they aren't going to like it."

He had to keep soothing the deer along the way, and Zelda had to run next to them to stay close, but they eventually made it back to the outside counter of the stable.

The stable owner was looking down at his paperwork instead of them. "Welcome to Foothill Stable. Would you like to register your noble steed?"

If Link were standing on the ground, he would have elbowed Zelda, but he gave her a smirk instead. "Yes I would, thank you."

"Right this w—" The man stopped as he raised his head and truly saw his customers for the first time. "Oh, for the love of Hylia, why in the Goddess' name do people keep terrorizing the local wildlife and keep bringing them here? Can't you people read signs?"

He pointed to a handwritten sign that said "Horses only. No exceptions," with some smaller print at the bottom.

The man continued. "Since you apparently can't read, it says, 'Horses only; no exceptions.' That means, no ostriches, no bears, no deer, no sand seals, not even the 'best sand seal' named Patricia, no Lynels, no Bokoblins, no Moblins, no Wizzrobes, no nothing except horses! And don't you try getting funny with me; we don't take Stalhorses! Oh, and certainly no Blupees or the Lord of the Mountain. Ha! Good luck with that last one. I'd pay rupees to see you try to tame the Lord of the Mountain! BUT! Even if you are successful, we only take REGULAR, NORMAL, BORING HORSES ONLY. AND THAT IS DEFINITELY NOT A HORSE!" He was shouting at Link while Zelda was trying her hardest not to laugh. The rest of the stable was silent, and the few people inside were staring in their direction.

Link and Zelda could barely hold back their laughter, and they wondered how many people had been on the receiving end of the owner's tirade and attempted to register all of the listed creatures.

Once they were away from the stable, Zelda looked at Link and laughed. "I told you so," she teased.

Link stuck his tongue out at her, and she had to work to contain more laughter. That's a new one. I love this playful side of him.

Link sighed. "Yeah, I guess you were right, Ari. Will you at least take my picture with Kingston?"

"Sure, I can do that." She pulled up the Camera Rune and took a picture of Link sitting proudly atop his semi-tamed buck. He was so pleased with himself. "Link, I have to admit, you look pretty good up there." He gave her a wide smile and started to stand to climb off.

"You know once you dismount, the buck will run off, right?"

Link quickly sat back down on the buck again. He made a sad face again, poking his bottom lip out toward her, then said, "Well, I guess it's 'definitely not a horse.'" He gently patted the animal and said his goodbyes, then dismounted. They both watched as the majestic King of the Forest bounded away.

"What about our dinner?" Zelda asked, feeling much hungrier than before.

"How does wild boar sound tonight? I think I'm finished hunting for deer."

They made their way back to the cooking pot outside Foothill Stable, and he cooked a dinner of wild boar, grilled mushrooms, and Hearty Fried Wild Greens for them both. When they were finished, they were both exhausted. Zelda crawled into their soft bed under the blankets, and he soon settled in with her and fell asleep.
