Code Tenno Uprising of the Void
ESKK: Chapter 11 folks let's get this show on the road.
(Start Tenno Base)
Several days had passed since the battle of Narita Cornelia was still prisoner of the Tenno. Judging by the sound of things Euphemia was in command until Cornelia was rescued, or a new Viceroy was put in command of Area 11. The Tenno had already squeezed out every bit of information they could out of Cornelia military strategies, key locations to hit, and just about anything involving the Royal Family. Cornelia was shamed when Ava had finished rummaging through her mind with Nyx Prime as she had gone silent for a good while. The Tenno really got to her, and they hardly had to put a hand on her.
Some of their non-Tenno recruits were a bit itchy to have a go at the Princess hence why her guards were either Tenno or Specters. Still there was one thing to note about the base today. They were receiving guests in the form of the Black Knights on the situation with Cornelia. The Tenno had made sure she would be blinded to prevent her from getting anything of value out of the base from viewpoint alone. She might be able to get something via ears and movement, but they were already working on how to counter mind that.
Speaking of the Black Knights they were of course in a helicopter unmarked but with all the needed clearance to pass themselves off as soldiers if need be. The members of the Black Knights however were staring out the window with their eyes widened at the Tenno's base. It was really gigantic, they could see the platforms, the airports, the command center, and the hangars, as well as many soldiers walking, standing, and running around. There was even a training exercise on a Knightmare head kill shot with two none, Tenno on their backs with rifles pointed at the Sutherlands head.
"WOOOW! Its huge!" Tamaki cried out in awe at the sight of the Tenno's base of operations.
"Yeah, it is." Ohgi gasped as he saw the base in question.
"Amazing." Kallen said as a Landing Craft was carrying the Gurren Mk. II in a coffin like containment unit. The Tenno had offered to repair the Gurren free of charge and were going to do it at the base. Now Kallen was grateful for that offer but her only objection was how much the container looked like a coffin. The design did not inspire confidence and creeped her out a bit.
Zero was of course silent as he looked outside the window. The Tenno were powerful he won't deny that, but he found it strange that no one had found this base until recently. Had the Tenno been in possession of some sort of cloaking gear or was it something else entirely? Still as the transports came in for a landing Zero figured he would get his answer at some point.
(Later)
Ven, Ava, Eureka, and Sayak were there to greet Zero as he and his command staff stood across from them. The Black Knights kept staring in awe at the base. While they were admiring the base, Zero was the only one focused on their objective here. "I had assumed we would be meeting with the Lotus." Zero said as he wanted to meet the woman in question. A while ago they had gotten through a meeting with the Kyoto Group and in doing so Zero had learned something that had troubled him.
"Sorry she is currently unavailable organizing the Tenno globally takes a great deal out of her time." Ven said as he stood before Zero. "But I assume it's not the Lotus that brings you here is it." Ven said as a few Tenno and workers were moving the Gurren Mk. II onto a truck to process for repairs and a few possible upgrades.
"Yes, it's about your prisoner Cornelia." Zero said confirming the Tenno's assumption as Ava heard this and opted to speak up.
"We learned everything we could from her, she was stubborn by we got what we needed." Ava reported as Zero nodded to this. "We're willing to share this information but there might be something we missed so don't quote us." Ava added in which Zero knew they were not being forthcoming. No doubt they suspected that Zero wanted a specific piece of information from Cornelia and thus had set the bait for him.
"Then I won't take up any more of your I just want to ensure that there was nothing you had missed." Zero said as he had no choice but to take the bait from the Tenno. He was ready to use Geass until Ven spoke up instead which surprised him.
"Alright then we'll take you to the brig to talk to her." Ven said and thus Zero saw Ven wasn't putting up a fight on this.
(Later in the Brig)
The group arrived at the brig as there seems to be a front desk of sorts. A scanner went over the Tenno as well as the Black Knights and once it finished the doors opened with the front desk people nodding. "Welcome Tenno, you're signed in and the Black Knights are signed in as guests." The man running the desk said and in turn Ven nodded to them.
"Thank you." Ven said and thus they began to enter the brig.
They soon arrived in a waiting room with two guards at the Elevator and several security cameras to avoid any blind spots. were inside Ven looked over to Zero and his Black Knights. "Zero your staff will have to wait out here while we go in to speak to Cornelia." Ven said as Zero understood as much. The Tenno no doubt took security very seriously out here to prevent any possible breaches. But what sort of secrets were they hiding that justified such levels of security?
"I understand." Zero said in agreement to Ven's order. "Everyone, stay here until I come back." Zero ordered as Ven saw that Kallen had objections to this.
"But Zero!" Kallen called out shocked that they were being told to sit this out.
"Don't worry about me Kallen, I'll be fine." Zero assured her and in turn Kallen complied with a nod to Zero.
"You three stay out here as well." Ven said and in turn Sayak nodded to this.
"Got it." Sayak said as he then flung himself to a sofa and relaxed on it.
"Let's go." Ven said and thus he and Zero entered the Elevator to the main part of the brig where they kept the Prisoners.
(Later with Ven and Zero)
After a ride on the Elevator that had another scan on them Ven punched in a code on the keypad allowing entry into the Brig. The two were then seen walking down the hall with nothing but doors and screens. The Doors were all open as the screens were shut off save for one set that had a pair of guards in front of it.
"How is she?" Ven asked as he looked to the two guards in question.
"Doing fine." The guard said as he looked to Ven before pressing a button on the pad activating the screen. Cornelia was tied up big time to prevent her from escaping. Cameras were built into the walls to prevent Cornelia from pulling a fast one like disarming them. If any of the Cameras were to shut off due to unauthorized tampering, then the alarms would sound, and Cornelia would be brought down.
Ven nodded and then looked to Zero. "Are you ready, Zero?" Ven asked as he looked to Zero.
"Yes, let's do it." Zero said and thus with a nod from Ven the guards punched in a few codes and opened the door for them.
(Inside the room)
Cornelia had to admit that these Tenno were efficient in whatever they do be it battle or securing prisoners. Her prison cell seemed to double as an interrogation room as once the bed and toilet had retracted a table rose up from the ground. She noted it was a to stage conversion. First stage had it rise from the ground before extending into a table. This way she could not use the gap to make her escape not like she could move much as is.
The garb she was wearing kept her tied up like a patient at a mental institution. More so the Tenno made sure she had no weapons to fight her way out and even checked her mouth for a hidden weapon. Thankfully, anything lower than her neck had a female checking her over but clearly the Tenno had been five moves ahead the entire time. Though they already got everything they wanted out of her, and no doubt will use that information to their tactical advantage.
Just then the door opened revealing Zero and the Tenno who caught her that had been referred to as Umbra if what she heard was accurate. Zero noted the cameras as it was just as he anticipated so he thus had to be careful with how he went about this.
"Umbra, Zero." Cornelia greeted as she glared at the two before her.
"Cornelia." Ven greeted as he looked to Cornelia.
"It seems that I lost, you both are indeed formidable together." Cornelia said as Ven and Zero saw the words of praise from the Viceroy. "So, what are you going to do with me? Use me as a bargain? Execute me? Or convince me to join you? Which I highly doubt you will." Cornelia said as the fact the Tenno have the Goddess of Victory as their prisoner did not elude Cornelia.
"It is not up to me, but Zero." Ven said as he gestured to Zero as Cornelia glared at the masked terrorist.
"So, it's true Zero hired you." Cornelia said as she glared at Zero for the fact, he managed to gain aid from the Tenno.
Zero then turned his attention over to Ven as he made his next request known. "Umbra, could you leave me alone with Cornelia?" Zero asked as Ven suspected as much as he remembered what happened to Clovis.
"Fine... but don't have a repeat of last time." Ven said and thus took his leave making sure Zero had all the time needed to talk. But then he stopped right next to Zero for but a moment. "I'll keep my word on the secret, camera's will play on loop once I leave." Ven said and thus he left the room.
Once Ven was outside the interrogation room Zero began to focus his attention on Cornelia. Zero had originally had an EMP Device ready to jam the camera's but he suspected that the Tenno might have security measures for that. Thus, he was left with no choice but to trust Ven's words for the time being.
"Huh, so you want to talk to me with something private." Cornelia said as she glared at Zero wondering what exactly he wanted to know.
Just then the left part of Zero's helmet hissed opened and from it his Geass was seen active in it. "I order you to answer me my questions." Lelouch ordered and thus the Geass symbol flew straight to Cornelia's eyes and then she fell under the Geass effect.
"Understood." Cornelia said in a monotone voice.
"Were you the one who killed Marianne vi Britannia?" Lelouch asked as he glared at his elder half-sister.
"No." Cornelia answered which of course surprised Lelouch.
"Then, who was it?" Lelouch asked as he needed to know the truth.
"I don't know" Cornelia answered which shocked Lelouch since it was not the one for which he was hoping.
"You were in charge of her personal guard, weren't you?!" Lelouch asked accusingly with his tone showing anger as something didn't add up.
"Yes." Cornelia said as this was leading him nowhere.
"The why did you withdrew her escort?" Lelouch asked as something did not add up to him.
"Because I was asked to." Cornelia spoke as Lelouch was shocked by this information.
"By whom?!" Lelouch almost yelled with a demanded tone to Cornelia.
"Lady Marianne." Cornelia responded which in turn left Lelouch wide eyed over what was said.
"What?! That's impossible! Are you saying that she knew she would be attacked that day?!" Lelouch said with a shocked tone trying to make sense of this. "No, it's impossible! If she did, she would have gotten us out of there!" Lelouch had unconsciously said that a little louder which he noted.
Taking a moment to regain himself he managed to relax a little in order to not get any attention from the outside. "What happened on that day?! Who killed Marianne?!" Lelouch asked but was in turn met with silence causing him to sigh in frustration. "You don't know? Then who knows the truth?!" Lelouch demanded as he clenched his fists in anger. "I know you've investigated what happened that day yourself!" He added knowing full well that Cornelia had to know something.
"His majesty The Emperor, ordered Schneizel to transport the body out of there." Cornelia responded as this surprised Lelouch.
"The body? You, mean Marianne's? Then what was in that coffin?" He asked trying to make sense of what he was hearing. Cornelia tried to talk again, but no words came out. Lelouch clenched his fists harder that meant he has to find a bigger pray, his brother Schneizel or worst, possibly his father, The Emperor.
"Damn it." Lelouch cursed as he realized this might just go deeper then he originally thought it did.
Just then the Geass effect slowly faded away from Cornelia's eyes. She seemingly woke up from her trance as she recoils her head and then have a puzzled face.
"What?" Cornelia said with a confused tone then she moved her gaze to Zero, who just stood there. "Well Zero? What do you want to discuss?" Cornelia asked as she glared at Lelouch.
"Nothing but an offer." Zero said as he looked to the Princess. "Keeping you here is of no use now, the Tenno have acquired every bit of information they could from you, and thus keeping you here would be of no further use to them." Zero said as he looked to Cornelia. "I'm going to have the Tenno release you." Zero said which surprised Cornelia.
"Release me? Is this some kind of joke? Because it's not funny at all!" Cornelia snapped as she glared at Zero.
"I'm not joking, Cornelia. I realized that it won't do any good for me if I kill you, it would be against my ideology after all, and besides your sister, Euphemia would be really sad if news comes out that you died. So, I decide that instead of killing you, I will release you." Zero said with a tone of sincerity as he figured if he did not the Tenno would dispose of her.
"Alright, Zero. You win." Cornelia said as she knew this might be her chance to warn the homeland that the Tenno knows their secrets.
"Good then I will send a message to Britannia that you will be taken to a noble location near the Viceroy Palace, the only condition is that the Black Knights and the Tenno won't be harmed once you were returned." Zero said making his demands clear on Cornelia's safe return.
"Fine by me." Cornelia replied but Zero wanted to be absolutely sure on this.
"Do you swear it?" Zero asked in which Cornelia gritted her teeth in anger. But then she calmed her rage once she thought of her sister Euphie.
"Yes, Zero. I will tell them not to fire." Cornelia said which made Lelouch smile with satisfaction. "Good." Zero said before he turned around and went to open the door.
(Meanwhile with the Lotus)
The Lotus unknown to Zero had listened in on the entire conversation and thus noticed that something was not right. A clear cover up had occurred, and Marianne was in the center of it all. It seems that Ven had made the right call involving Nunally with them because clearly, she was in the center of it all. She now had some research to do starting with Nunally and from there she needed to look into another possible lead. Because if what Cornelia said was true then their target was either Schneizel or Charles if not both of them.
With this information in hand Lotus started distributing new tasks to the Tenno who were in the other Areas. But now with the tactical information Cornelia had provided them they might be able to get the two afraid enough to come out for a fight.
(Scene Break Viceroy Palace)
"Please you Highness! Allow the invasion!" Guilford begged as they were in a huge meeting after losing the Battle of Narita.
Right now, we see all the surviving soldiers from the Narita battle regrouped in the conference room with Guilford, Darlton, as well as princess Euphemia nominated as the heads of the surviving group. The conference is being held with prince Schneizel and several generals on giant screens. Euphemia was acting Viceroy until they can retrieve Cornelia from Tenno custody which was proving that an invasion may be required. Suzaku was also present as he was clenching his fists in anger at such a failure during the battle of Narita. He was supposed to be the best pilot, but now he failed miserably by the hands of Zero and Umbra. He swore that no matter what, he will definitely defeat them and arrest them.
When the news that Cornelia was captured, all the generals pleaded and suggested to Schneizel that the invasion of the Tenno's base of operations be approved. It was only Princess Euphemia who was against such an idea and for good reason. Not only had they lost the battle, but they couldn't get close to the town to verify the civilian casualties. Worst is that they suffered so much casualty that there's not enough people to assist the town.
Although the blame goes for the Order of the Black Knights, the Tenno had also taken part in the battle as well. Schneizel had his eyes closed to reflect on this matter, he had a headache few hours ago on thinking what to do. Though he managed to get all the data on the Tenno, it didn't seem wise to charge against a mighty force. He decided to consult his father, The Emperor about this matter. To his shock, The Emperor told him to approve this invasion. He tried to convince him not to underestimate the Tenno as he read all the reports about their actions. The emperor told him that he is aware of it, but the invasion is a step that Britannia required to defeat this group. Schneizel accepted his recommendation, but he can't shake the feeling that this action is the use of brute force. Another part of him suspected that Charles and his 'friends,' were trying to gain access to whatever technology the Tenno had been using up until now to do this level of damage to Britannia.
"Please brother, don't do it!" Euphemia pleaded as she was doing everything, that she could do to stop this invasion and solve this through a peaceful method.
"Please princess Euphemia, let his highness Schneizel approve it, it is the only way to save her highness Cornelia!" Darlton begged as this was the only chance, they had to rescue Cornelia they had to risk it.
"But this is not the way! I don't want blood to be shed!" Euphemia protested just before Schneizel opened his eyes slowly and looked at him with a sad face.
"Sorry Euphie." Schneizel said quietly in a sad tone before he the stood up and proclaimed, "I, Schneizel El Britannia, approve the invasion of the Tenno's lair in the name of his majesty and my father, Charles zi Britannia!"
All the generals and soldiers cheered at the proclamation, they would finally end this plague once and for all. But Euphemia on the other hand couldn't do anything but lay her hands on her chest in worry. "Sis." Euphemia said quietly with a saddened tone.
Suddenly the main door opened, and from it a Britannian officer came running in with a shocked look on his face. "Your Highness!" He called out as he kneeled down for a brief moment.
"What happened?" Schneizel asked as he looked to the officer in question.
"Sorry for the interruption, but we are receiving a call!" The officer reported which was odd to some.
"Decline it, we are discussing an important matter." Schneizel said as they did have important things to discuss.
"But my lord! This is really important! Its Zero!" The Officer said and in turn this shocked everyone. It even caused Schneizel to raise an eyebrow in interest.
"Alright, patch it" The prince ordered before officer pressed the bottom of the communicator.
A new, small screen popped out on Schneizel's and the officers screen while the conference it projected on the main screen. In turn the face of Zero appeared in a background that looks like a chopper.
"Greetings, Britannia." Zero greeted as many looked to the masked man with rage.
"ZERO!" Guilford shouted out in anger while glaring at Zero.
"I am sure you all know that Cornelia was defeated by me and the Tenno, and that she is currently my prisoner." Zero began as he had everyone's attention on him.
"I swear if you touched her then mark my words that I will personally kill you with my own bare hands!" Darlton yelled making sure his threat was heard.
"Sir Darlton." Schneizel spoke up directly to Darlton with a tone implying to him to calm down and let him handle it.
"Forgive me, my lord." Darlton said and in turn Schneizel got back to the task at hand.
"Zero" Schneizel said as he looked to the screen to speak with Zero directly.
Lelouch mentally glared at his elder half-brother but right now had to focus on his persona as Zero. "Prince Schneizel, it is an honor to meet you." Zero greeted as he spoke to the prince.
"Likewise, Zero. Now, to the main topic, why have you called us? Are you going to tell us that you want to make a trade with us?" Schneizel asked as many were afraid of such a thing.
"No, Scheneizel, I'm here to inform you that, I will release Cornelia and return her to you unharmed." Zero said and in turn everyone was surprised over what was just said. After all the fact that he was going to free Cornelia just like that was a hard pill to swallow.
"What trickery is this?" Schneizel asked as he suspected that foul play would be involved.
"This is no trickery; I am going to release her from the confinements of the Tenno and return her to Britannia, I have no further use for her." Zero said as
" Wait a moment, you mean that you've got what you wanted from her?"
"You must have tortured her!" Accused Guilford.
"You are wrong, Guilford. I assure you; she is unharmed and safe. I have done nothing with her, I realized that killing her would be against my ideology, so I'm going to return her to you." Zero said which, thanks to his charisma, it helped calm everyone in the conference.
"I assume that there are conditions for her return, right?" Schneizel said knowing there was always a catch in these sorts of things.
"Yes, there are only 2 conditions." Zero began as he looked to the group. "The first condition is that, once we release her, Britannia will not open fire at the Black Knights or the Tenno." Zero spoke much to everyone's surprise here. "And the second condition is that once we are leaving, you will not fire at us once we are out of your reach." Zero said making his demands clear on what was to be expected for Cornelia's safe return.
"Screw that! We are not negotiating with the filths of…" One of the generals but was stopped by Schneizel cut him off by saying, "I accept your terms, Zero"
"But my lord!" The Officer began but in respond Schneizel glared at him which caused the officer to remain silent.
"Good, the place will be right here, on the outside of the Viceroy Palace at 6 am." Zero said before the communication was cut off.
When the conversation ended Euphemia was the first to speak with a sigh in relief. "Thank goodness." The Princess said as she was happy for this turn of events as it would also allow her to relinquish her Acting Viceroy position back to Cornelia.
"Well, gentlemen. Everything is settled so begin the preparations for your princesses return!" Schneizel ordered to which everyone complied without argument. "You don't have to worry anymore Euphie; we'll have her back." Schneizel said as he directed his attention to Euphemia.
"Yes! Brother." The Princess said happily before she left the room.
"I guess that we don't have to invade the Tenno's base after all." Guilford said to Schneizel and the officers in the room.
At least they would not have done so if Schneizel had not chuckled in amusement. "Now, now, who said that the invasion was called off?" He said to which showed the Tenno would be expecting company soon. And that Company will be in the form of a Britannian Invasion force with only one objective in mind... the eradication of the Tenno. The Man in the Wall saw it all and he had one thing to say to these fools.
"You're Funerals Britannians." He said knowing that Body Bags will be useless in the days to come.
(Scene Break Nemo and Nunnally)
Back at Ashford Academy Nunnally seemed to have come down with a fever and thus was bedridden for it. Nemo of course was thankful she did not feel it's effects most likely a benefit of being a doll comprised of CC cells. Though the downside of it was that being inside of Nunnally's body she could still feel the illness and thus had been under the weather herself. But unlike being in bed with her other self Nemo opted to remain at the side of the bed on the floor.
This gave Nemo a better spot to check things out in case someone or something arrives to cause trouble. Not that she suspected they would, but she was always ready for it thanks to her Geass ability to see the lines of the future. Still, ever since CC had all but moved in Nemo had been a bit on edge whenever her, 'mother,' was around. The two had a bit of a rocky relationship since Nemo was a failed attempt to recreate CC. She wasn't exactly certain as to why the Britannian's wanted a clone of CC, but Nemo refused to live a life in her shadow. It was why she forged a contract with Nunnally back in Shinjuku because in a way it helped made her into her own being.
Nemo then sighed and stood up before making her way to the wall. This entire thing was out of control in her honest opinion. For Nemo it seems like everyone was holding secrets around here. Nunnally and the secret that she was the Mark Nemo pilot, Nemo and the fact CC was basically her mother, Lelouch and the fact that he was actually Zero, CC and Nemo being the ones aware of it all, and CC and whatever secret she was holding.
Nemo was not blind or an idiot she had seen CC several times talking to an unseen being. Even though Nemo knew it was not this Man in the Wall that had scared CC into submission that did not mean Nemo knew who it was. As Nemo stood by the window staying hidden by the curtains her eyes scanned the school outside when something on one of the roofs caught her attention. It looked like a white-haired man in a coat and shades causing her to try and zoom in with her eyes alone. But she then saw him turning towards her direction and almost by instinct Nemo hid behind the curtains and remained hidden there.
Nemo waited behind the wall grasping at her chest as an unspoken fear entered her heart. That man... something about him was familiar and in turn erected a certain fear from Nemo. She knew not where it came from, but she had a possible suspect and the only one with the answer... was CC.
"Nemo?" Nunnally spoke which got Nemo's attention on her. "Is something wrong?" Nunnally asked looking to Nemo with concern for her.
"No everything is... alright." Nemo said lying through her nonexistent teeth. She hated to do it truly she did, but Nemo needed to talk to CC the next time she was here and asked about that man.
"Oh ok." Nunnally said as she returned to getting her rest. Once Nunnally was asleep Nemo simply waited for CC to get back so she can interrogate her about who she saw and what just happened to her.
(Meanwhile with Alice)
Alice had successfully snuck into Ashford Academy's more secure location. She hated lying to Nunnally as much as she had honest, she did but she was a soldier for Britannia. The Puritan by the name of Villeta was researching a possible lead that led to Jeramiah's fall from grace. Alice hearing that it may involve Zero opted to check it out since she was under cover at the school.
Scrolling through the data Alice was looking for one who matched the description Villeta gave her when Alice approached her about this. It was not hard as she knew if Zero was here then Alice had to find him if to protect Nunnally. But speak of the devil Alice stopped at one file as she saw it was Nunnally's file. "Nunnally?" Alice asked as she saw the information on her best friend. Curiosity and temptation overtook her mind and thus Alice began to look over the data in question. She had time after all so what harm could a little peak do? But nothing could prepare her for what she was about to find as she reread the data and defragged it as well.
"Wait this can't be, Nunnally and Lelouch Lembruge are actually..." Alice read as she went wide eyed over this information. She was looking directly at the information of two royals who were believed to have died in Japan years ago. As a soldier Alice was required to report this but if she did that her friendship with Nunnally which she valued would possibly be destroyed. As a soldier she needed to report this to her superiors but as Nunnally's friend Alice didn't see anything. Thus with a few quick keystrokes the data was deleted on the spot. "I'll protect you Nunnally." Alice vowed as images of a crippled girl flashed in Alice's mind. "I'll be you're Knight." Alice vowed before she proceeded to take her leave and lie that she didn't find anything.
(Scene Break with Ven)
Ven saw Noir was being loaded up into a coffin like container for transport. Lotus had recently cracked the code on the Float System with the Tenno Research and Development group. Adding in a bit of Archwing tech and soon enough Noir will be flight worthy. Ven had opted to use Umbra to disguise himself in a trench coat and a fedora.
"Yeah, I can do the job, but something of this level will cost you." A man said who was going to apply the upgrade. Apparently, he used to work in developing the Float System before he was fired and forced to work off the Black Market.
"Understood." Ven said and thus an alert came on the guy's computer. Looking on it he was surprised to see that he not only got what he was going to ask for but double what he was asking.
"Damn! I'm guessing that you Tenno want this bad boys' repairs and upgrades done in record time?!" The man asked as he saw how much zeroes were on that input.
"Can it be done?" Ven asked as he looked to the man in question.
"Damn straight it can be done." The man said and with a nod Ven began to take his leave.
"Good have it ready for transport." Ven said knowing full well something was bound to happen soon.
They would have installed the new system back at base but most of their Float Tech had been transported to an off-sight facility for other new equipment development. Britannian had yet to develop space travel and thus the Tenno were using their Float Tech to beat Britannia to the punch. After all you can't hit someone if their base is unreachable.
The reason for this was because the Lotus knew their base would be invaded eventually. IF and when that happens the Tenno intended to fight them off and when they manage to win that battle the base, they were using would serve no more purpose to them. She was pushing a lot of their resources to that new project of theirs, but it still needed on key ingredient so to speak. The Lotus did not want to launch their new base until they get a means to transport supplies to and from it for which meant they needed some sort of landing site.
Lotus was already running several possible locations but none of them thus far were ideal for the Tenno. They needed a place they can easily defend and also provide strategic advantage against their enemies. But the simple fact that Britannia controls most of the world alone makes the task quite difficult for them. More so the fact that the location needed to have no ties to any of the major powers also played a key role. But with little to no clue on how to proceed the Tenno opted to focus on what they can and fortify their defenses against the invasion they knew would come eventually.
Thus, with his business concluded Ven proceeded to take his leave of the man and report to Lotus for any further mission updates. But as he left, he made sure that he was not followed and with Transference proceeded to exit Umbra and blend in with the crowd appearing as a father/son duo.
(Scene Break Unknown Location)
"Plans for the invasion are already underway, and your son has also requested the use of the Knights of the Round Table." A man in black spoke as he stood behind Emperor Charles Zi Britannia.
"I see I suspect it will be needed." Charles said as he had done the research and knew that the Tenno were exceptionally powerful. "I will send the Knights he requested please inform him of this." Charles said and in turn the man in black robes bowed and took his leave of the emperor. They needed to use their best if they wish to eliminate the Tenno so the justifications of sending the Knights was clear. More so with their Geass using agents bested by the Tenno as well Charles was on edge.
The Tenno were getting closer to discovering the Thought Elevators the more land they help the empires enemies take back. The Tenno may not know about it but the mere fact they were losing so much ground was forcing Charles and his followers to push their grand plan back. Just then a new set of footsteps were heard as Charles noted how soft they sounded much like that of a child.
Suspecting it to be VV Charles was ready to greet him when a new voice cut in. "Ah this place hasn't changed a bit." Came the owner of the Voice causing Charles to go wide eyed and looked to the source in shock. When his eyes laid upon the being... no, the child before him he swore that something had happened. The child who entered the Thought Elevator could pass herself off as the child or maybe the child sister of Marianne herself. If not for the scarring on her face she could very well have done so. She was noted to be wearing some sort of skintight suit under a set of rags that may have been that of nobility in days passed but no longer.
"I heard how you wish to fight the Tenno sending in your forces for a suicide run." The girl said as she entered the room. "I suspect one of your Knights might very well lose their lives as well." She added as Charles looked ready to call for aid, but the woman then stopped.
"Who are you? What are you?" Charles asked as he glared at the young girl before him. A part of him started to believe his mind was starting to leave him if this phantom appeared.
"Well, that is a story, let's just say your beloved Marianne and I have a LOT in common with each other." The girl said and thus she looked up to Charles revealing for all to see who she was. "I'm a Marianne who never received Geass and I'm here to help you with the Tenno... after all the only thing that can truly fight a Tenno... is another Tenno." The child version of Marianne said as soon her eyes began to glow with the eldritch power of the Void coursing through them.
