Camila was currently cooking a sweet Spanish dish...That was obviously comfort food for the 15 year old. With all the stuff that she had been through, it was no doubt that she had desvered it.
The sound of someone walking down the stairs reached Camila's ears.
'Luz...' she thought, and immediately grabbed a plate from the kitchen counter.
She knew Luz was not okay. Everyone did, the way she came to her tonight asking why she wasn't mad at her. It hurt her.
And unfortunately, Camila knew what it was like to have that feel to run away. To escape Reality. Is was the principal called it.
She didn't trust him, not a bit. It was refreshing to know that her Luz still trusts her, and was able to give her comfort. She was glad that Luz came to her, Instead of pushing it.
She knew, that pushing it would just want her to keep it in, Camila knew to be the smarter person. Unlike before, she learned from her mistakes.
Luz doesn't need reality check. Instead, she was happy for her daughter, she made the right choice. In the demon realm, Luz made alot of friends...That wasn't offered to her here.
The feeling of lacking and grieving went through Camila, like she knew nothing of her daughter.
Luz. Luz is bright, or was bright..Somebody had to have messed that up. Her daughters heart burned with gold and seemed to be a light in the darkness.
Of course, she still tried to right her wrongs, that was just who she is. Camila knew losing Manny was going to be hard on them both.
Luz took alot after him, his love for fantasy and his quirkiness and unconditional love for everything they held dear.
"Mom.." Camila knew that tone of voice, something was wrong.. Finally, she turned to the doorway of the kitchen. Luz standing there, full of regret and tiredness filled her eyes.
'She's mad at herself...' Camila's thoughts screamed at her. She wondered what happened to the Luz that was so bright and warm, she wondered what happened to her baby girl who was so sure of everything..
"Yes, Mija?"
"Can...Can I stay with you tonight again?" She loved when they could bond like this, instead of pressing and asking questions about what happened...She would just let her daughter come to her.
"Of course you can, you don't even have to ask..." That seemed to brighten her up a little bit. Her smile had returned to the surface and broke free of that angsty and guiltiness from her.
"And is that...Is that Gazpachò?" Luz sniffed the air, it smelt really good in the Kitchen..
Everyone else was asleep, including Amity, so this was the perfect time to have a moment alone with her Mamì.
Camila chuckled and put a bowl on the table, that was centered in the middle. soft warmness came over her.
"Yes it is Mijà, I got a plate out for you since you didn't eat when you first got here." Willingly, Luz sat down quickly and grabbed her spoon.
"You are the best.." She said, and began to eat some of the worlds famous Spanish Dish her Mamì ever prepared.
"I try to be." Camila chuckled again, and sat down to enjoy her own meal...Everything would be okay, for now.
