Ant-death: You did make me laugh I must admit. Just imagine the minor gods coming to her like 'Zeus is being a dick, help please' and her just storming up to Zeus like 'Right you asshole!'
Undeath9087: The gods didn't feel the need to mention it since it doesn't change anything and they've known she's alive for a little while. And, uh, they may not have a choice.

Of all the things Percy had never expected to happen to her, she had to admit that being slapped half way across the world by Zeus was so out of the realm of possibility that she'd never even put it on the list. Still, apparently that was her life now. And it was not fun.

Leo and Jason were the only two on the deck. The rest of the crew had been ordered below deck- which Percy very much didn't like but to be fair, Leo and Jason were the ones needed on deck. The rest of them would just be in the way- especially with how rocky the journey was- and it really was.

In some ways it reminded Percy of the force and chaos of the erruption she and Leo had caused what felt like a lifetime ago. If it wasn't for the fact that the rest of them were huddled together clinging to one another they probably would have been tossed everywhere- as it was they at least managed to stay semi-stable, though all of them were knocked off their feet into a large pile at the force of the initial blow.

The sheer shock of the force took a moment for Percy to recover from.

Thankfully she didn't have to recover instantly- Annabeth and Rachel were grabbing her arms and everyone was piling out of the hatch onto the deck.

And if it wasn't for Buford the table she might not have snapped to her senses enough to pull free from her girlfriends- but he clattered across the deck with his holographic Hedge blaring, "LET'S GO! MOVE IT! CUT THAT OUT!"

And somehow a sense of reality returned to her.

She ignored the startled looks that Annabeth and Rachel gave her as she sprinted towards the controls, staggering at times, the world feeling like it was swimming around her, but she moved, calling back. "Go on ahead!" and a glance backwards let her see the dawning shock and horror on the two girls faces- see the way Rachel was shaking her head, her lips parted slightly as she mouthed the word 'no'.

Annabeth was the first of them to really process and she latched onto Rachel's arm, giving Percy a furious look- and the daughter of Poseidon just knew she'd be in trouble when this was over.

If she lived through it that was. Which wasn't guaranteed.

A tight feeling in Percy's chest told her that maybe this was too far for the girls- Rachel looked like she was choking back sobs. And Percy wouldn't blame them. It seemed that ever since she'd come back the majority of the time she'd been hurting them- and she knew she was being selfish right now but she didn't care- which should probably bother her more than it did, but she had to be there for Leo. She didn't care if she died in the process and long as he didn't. The world would move on fine without her, it had before but it needed Leo. She needed to know that her family were happy and alive and Leo dying would ruin that- he'd lose his chance to be happy with Calypso, to grow old. She- well this was a second chance, it wasn't worth as much as his life. It couldn't be.

She tore her gaze away from Annabeth and Rachel as she almost collided with Leo- who was giving her a horrified look.

"Percy-"

"Don't even freaking try and argue." the daughter of Poseidon cut him off, grabbing her brothers shoulder "Until the end Leo. I'm with you 'til the end."

"I-" Leo groaned. "Fine, fine I half expected you'd do this just hold on!" they both had to shout to be heard over all the chaos, and Percy latched onto his shoulder, gripping it tightly as he kept working, even as the Argo II fell apart around them- and Percy could see the others taking off. Frank changed into a grey dragon, with Hazel scrambling into his neck and Frank snatching up Annabeth and Rachel in his claws.

Luke was with Thalia, both of them already taking to the air- Luke glancing back at her, a pained look in his eyes as he gave a little shake of his head.

Nico and Will were grabbing at Ethan, dissolving into the shadows. Everyone was leaving- well, almost everyone.

Jason and Piper were still there, Jason holding the daughter of Aphrodite close as he called, "Leo! Percy what are you doing you won't make it!" Come with us!"

"No!" Leo yelled the words back, "I have a plan!"

"Yeah, we have a plan-"

"I have a plan, which included you being dumb!" Leo shot back.

"Just go you guys!" Percy focused on Jason and Piper.

And Jason looked very upset but he took off, and Percy focused her gaze on Leo again, who was frantically pressing buttons as he called, "Percy! We need to get to the engine room!"

And so together they staggered towards the steps- Percy and Leo both nearly stumbled and fell over multiple times as they clung to one another until they were below deck- at which stage there was at least no chance of them getting thrown off the ship.

It was still hard going though, and when they did reach the engine room Leo moved automatically, flicking a switch and bringing up a control panel- and Percy couldn't help but notice that even in the control room there had been a lot of damage done by the giants attacks, there were loose panels, a few wires trailing, though Leo didn't seem too worried so Percy decided not to let herself panic.

She did have to resist the urge to touch anything-she knew her luck, if she did she'd probably trigger something that would destroy everything.

Luckily she didn't have to resist the temptation for long- though in some ways it felt like a lifetime. But soon enough Leo was whirling around suddenly, grabbing Percy and practically throwing himself on top of her- and it was just in time because everything around them starting detaching, pulling away, some of it bursting into flames from- well, Percy couldn't claim to understand why, she just knew it happened.

they were practically engulfed in a giant fireball- Leo was protecting her from the heat- and then it happened, Percy almost saw it in slow motion, a fragment of metal, detaching from the heart of the ship caught one of the loose panels, tearing it away.

And inside of it was a glass vial- Percy knew what it was in an instant and she let out a horrified cry as it practically flew out.

"Leo!" She pointed and her brother turned his head, his face going deathly pale, a horrified look flitting across his face.

"No-" and Percy was moving, pushing herself free from Leo's protective grip.

"I'll get it back to you." Percy gasped the words- and she could see Leo shaking his head and grabbing for her but it was too late, she was diving after it- and as she did the Argo II above her truly became a fireball, the explosive heat battering her back as she dove, her hand outstretched.

...

Nico had known it would be chaos- he hadn't had much chance to look down before he'd grabbed Ethan and Will and took off- he'd been more focused on Percy. Percy who he knew was making her choice when she'd rushed towards Leo, going directly against most of the plans. But Nico didn't blame her. How could he when he planned on joining her and Leo as soon as he'd gotten Will and Ethan down safely.

He didn't take them directly to the front lines- Will was their star healer that would be beyond stupid, he brought them to the infirmary, though he could hear the battle so very close, but as soon as they arrived Nico felt... something. Something wrong, though he couldn't place what it was right away.

He glanced at Will, who gave a small determined nod and started gathering up supplies, even as Ethan took off and rushed into the battle without so much as a word.

Nico considered his options for maybe a second- the chaos of fighting all around them wasn't great he could admit that. He had planned on rushing Percy back to Leo but now that plan was defunct. He could join them- and a large part of him wanted to- but he could see all the fighting, the monsters, Gaea. They camps needed all of the help that they could get. And gods but he wish he'd be more of a help but the battle against the giants had tired him- and he could feel exhaustion weighing him down.

And there was that feeling- that strange horrible feeling. Like death but not yet- and it was strong which meant it was someone important to him. Someone close to death.

So he followed that feeling, bursting out of the infirmary moments after Ethan, sprinting towards the lines of fighters defending the camp

And somehow his gaze was drawn to a small group, partway down the hill, away from the fighting.

He could feel his death sense drawing him there, could and he could see- was that Reyna? That looked like the praetor's cape, the bright shock of purple on her back, and- his eyes widened.

Kayla was there, he could see the shock of green in her hair even from the distance and he sped up more, his heart pounding.

He was terrified of whatever it was that he might see but he knew he needed to find out what was going on.

"KAYLA!" he yelled the word. And he felt sick- Zeus' words whispering traitorously in his mind. Badly injured. But still alive. Still alive. But he hadn't said that she would be okay and he could sense it.

He could sense her fading.

And as he got closer he could see that Kayla was crouched over a figure led on the ground- they must have pulled her away from the fighting- his thoughts felt somewhat hysterical. And he noticed that Reyna was on her knees, and both of the girls turned their heads at the sound of his voice- though neither of them moved- and Reyna's face was pale and streaked with tears as she stared at him for a brief moment before she turned her head back to look at the figure on the ground- half in the ground actually Nico realised.

She was half on the ground and half in Reyna's lap- and Nico skidded to a halt, his breath catching in his throat.

He had never seen his sister looking so small and fragile, her face was terrifyingly pale, with deep bags under her eyes, which were closed- and he could see blood, her clothes were covered with it- though it looked like Kayla had cut her top to get access to the wound, which she'd slapped some kind of paste over and was muttering a healing incantation- though it wasn't doing nearly as much good as Nico would have liked.

A moment later Will was rushing past him- and Kayla let out a relieved sob as Will dropped to his knees next to Bianca and lightly pushed her to the side, his hand pressing over the wound and glowing as he chanted.

A moment later Nico staggered to Reyna and dropped to his knees next to the Roman, who was trembling, her shaking fingers brushing through Bianca's hair, a repeated anxious movement. "What- I don't-" he could barely form the words, but Reyna clearly understood what he was trying to ask.

"It was Octavian." her voice was tight, "He- she was coming towards me and- he moved so fast I couldn't stop him. He- he attacked from behind, and then before anyone had time to recover from the shock there was that voice and the monsters attacked. I didn't see what happened to him. We had to get Bianca away from them."

And Nico felt fury flood through him at Reyna's words. Though he absently noted that the feeling of Bianca fading away was disappearing. Wills healing magic was doing it's job.

"Will-"

"I'll look after her." Nico and Wills gazes met and Will gave a nod. "Do what you have to do Nico. Just come back to me."

And Nico rose to his feet slowly- he trusted Will with Bianca and... he got the feeling that Reyna and her must be close friends given the way her voice had trembled. And Kayla had her bow and arrow out already now that Will was there, shooting down anything that might come to close.

He took a deep breath before moving towards the lines of fighters- and as he did the Argo II erupted into flames above him- and Nico could see high in the sky, a tiny figure plummeting from the burning wreck as it disappeared behind the western hills.
