Chapter Six:

Something that the Potters discovered, which shocked them (literally) was the fact that Hope (and by extension, all Gundalians when they asked Wile Vine about it) could naturally generate a field of electricity. Generate it, but not control it without proper training. According to Wile Vine, a properly trained Gundalian could manipulate their electrical field with enough precision to be able to interact with technology without touching it. And since Hope was only a baby, all she did was produce a field of electricity of rather low voltage, capable of causing weak numbness to whoever's limbs that got too close, without any real focus or direction when she got upset, usually because she was hungry or simply wanted attention.

An incident involving a discharge of Hope's electricity that Wile Vine found particularly amusing was the time when the fur of the black dog known as Padfoot ended up getting poofed up, as if static electricity had been involved. What made the incident particularly amusing for the plant-lady-like Bakugan was the fact that the hair was still poofed up when Padfoot changed into his human form of Sirius Black (giving him what Lily called 'an electrical Afro'), a close friend of the Potters who was in the know regarding that Hope had been Blood Adopted by Lily and James but not that she was an Gundalian nor in the know of Wile Vine's existence. Simply assuming that Hope's electrical discharges were merely what he thought were displays of Accidental Magic, even if he found the color of the electricity, pale purple, weird.

Another incident involving Hope's electricity was the one where Hope accidentally launched and buried a screw in the man known as Peter Pettigrew's posterior through the use of electromagnetism. An incident that reminded Wile Vine of a tale Hope's Gundalian Mother and Father had told her back when they were only dating as teenagers. Apparently, Hope's Gundalian Mother, who's name apparently meant Storm in the language spoken by Gundalians and Neathians, was highly proficient in using her ability to generate electricity and by extension manipulate electromagnetism and quite the delinquent and troublemaker as a teenager, using her electrical abilities to commit petty crimes to survive on the streets in the Gundalian capital until she met, befriended and eventually fell in love with Hope's Gundalian Father, who's name apparently meant Wyrm in the language spoken by Gundalians and Neathians, after he showed her genuine kindness.
